1. The Red Sleeve
Korean Drama - 2021, 17 episodes
I loved both of our main characters. When Deokim threw salt at Yi San I heard "SALT SPLASH!" in Reigen's voice lmao. The two are definitely twin flames. Maybe because it's based on reality; the characters had a lot of life. As the comedy lessened more and more throughout the drama, one is hit with the reality of these harsh events happening to them. Yi San must've been at least as strong as he is in this drama in real life. I'm certain it's even worse than what is portrayed here.
A lot of the villains in this are women. For some reason I've always been more afraid of women. Some may argue that Yi San's grandfather "got away" too easily. But imagine the love hate relationship that Yi San has with him. I felt like it was a good portrayal of what it might've been like in real life. I had expected to see more scenes of crown prince Sado and his impact on Yi San. I am aware that the main focus in this drama is the relationship between Yi San and Deokim, but I would've been curious to see one more episode filled with scenes of Sado and Yi San together.
(Spoilers) Since this is a drama, I kept hoping for a happy ending despite already knowing the truth. I kept wishing to see how their story would turn out if Yi San had made different choices. But I also know that he couldn't have made any other choice than what he did. Being the king is no child's play. Still, I'm curious how a happy ending would've been presented.
I've bought the Memoirs of Lady Hyegyeong. I will read it.
Putting a score on this drama is very difficult. There is no accurate score for me.

2. Melancholia
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
This is the first time I've ever been excited about math lol. The whole drama gave me stress and anxiety, especially the first 6 episodes. But those were the episodes that I actually liked the most. I liked seeing Lee Dohyun's character do math and rising from the shadows, winning awards like a dark horse. I liked his character throughout the whole drama, but I especially liked him as a high schooler. You can clearly see a difference between the high school him and the adult him opposed to many other dramas where the high school version of them either look too old (e.g. in Uncontrollably Fond), or the adult version of them look too young (e.g. in A Little Thing Called First Love). Lee Dohyun is an amazing actor and pulls off his role in Melancholia really well! Tbh I would most likely not have picked up this drama if it wasn't for Lee Dohyun. I enjoyed the ride mostly because of him.
The OST was amazing too! It definitely made me like the drama more. This proves how important music is for dramas and movies etc.

3. Healer
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
Rewatched January 10th – 12th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
I was sitting and trying to figure out how to fill the void of not having any more Lee Dohyun dramas to watch, when Ji Changwook popped into my head. First I watched a couple of Suspicious Partner episodes, but I just love his character as Healer, so I decided to rewatch it yet again, without the intention to complete it. But here we are.
I just love Healer. Actually, the first time I watched it, it didn't make that big of an impression on me. But rewatching it twice last year made me realise how much I like this drama. Now, having rewatched it for the 3rd time, I'm still loving it. I like Healer as a character. Being a loner with a hidden identity who does dangerous stuff but always succeeds + he is the best at fighting... If I was a drama character I would want him as my partner lmao (but not in real life, no violence please).
So, I do not know if my trick worked. I still feel Lee Dohyun deprived. This might actually backfire on me as I will also mis Ji Changwook now. D*mn it.

4. Eighteen Again
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Rewatched January 4th – 15th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
I've now completed 18 Again for the 3rd time. It's my favourite Korean drama (taking 2nd place after Someday or One Day). 18 Again was one of the first dramas that came into my mind when I planned what to watch at the start of 2022. I watched 9 and a half episodes, but then decided to start Melancholia to see different sides of Lee Dohyun. Then I tried to get over missing Lee Dohyun by watching Healer, but it was in vain. So I decided to watch Bad and Crazy ahead of time, but since Wi Hajoon plays one of the main characters, 18 Again and Lee Dohyun kept popping into my head. So I decided to watch Lee Dohyun's 4 Running Man episodes, but that didn't help with getting over him lmao. So in the end, I ended up completing 18 Again very early this year. I usually only rewatch a drama once a year, so I wonder how it will go if I have to resist rewatching this until 2023 ^^;
What do I do now, Lee Dohyun? ㅠㅠ
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts about 18 Again from the 1st time that I completed it.

5. Bad Buddy
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
I loved it so much! The story was good, the music was amazing and the acting was incredible! I just love the characters so much! Especially Nanon's character, Pran. The Gifted used to be one of my favourite Thai dramas, but I didn't think much of Nanon in that one. But in Bad Buddy... I'm blown away by how natural the characters are. No cringe, no stiffness. Just great acting and chemistry ^^
I love Pat's sister, Pa! She was best girl Pear in 2gether! She's so cute, I love Love (lol) ^^
Bad Buddy is now my favourite Thai drama, beating Theory of Love. I binged it in basically one sitting (I only took a walk and a nap in between, but I pulled an all–nighter watching this lol). I will 100% rewatch this in the future :)
Rewatched January 23rd – 27th.
Rewatched February 6th – 12th.
Rewatched February 14th – March 8th.
Rewatched March 9th – 20th.

6. Si bien chez soi
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Rewatched January 16th – 22nd. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
This is my 3rd time watching Sweet Home. I watched it together with my parents this time, they liked it ^^ They already knew Lee Dohyun from 18 Again that I've also shown them, and mom also recognised Park Gyuyoung from It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Kim Sungchul from Vincenzo lol.
I had been thinking of rewatching Sweet Home this year since Lee Dohyun has now become my nr.1 favourite actor, and also because I read that season 2 will be released this year. I had intended to wait a bit longer, but my parents wanted to see it now. We have also decided to watch season 2 together :)
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts about Sweet Home from the 1st time that I completed it.

7. My Dear Loser Series: Edge of 17
Thai Drama - 2017, 9 episodes
After finishing Bad Buddy I haven't been able to complete any dramas despite them being good because I just miss the Bad Buddy cast, especially Nanon since he played my favourite character, Pran. Hence I came to the conclusion that I have to watch another drama starring him in order to go on with my life. This is the drama I chose, and a bonus is that Chimon is in this drama too ^^
Seems I'm the odd one out because I found the main plot/romance more entertaining than the InSun side story. In the first 3 or so episodes, this drama reminded me of series that my teachers played for us in the classroom to learn about puberty when we were 11–12 years old. But after that it starts to pick up when Oh become friends with the biker gang; those were my favourite episodes. One started to root for Oh to get together with Peach, even though Oh is a kind innocent pervert and Peach is a kind, ignorant and borderline hypocritical person (whom I disliked more and more as the story progressed tbh). During Oh's glowing up stage where he hung out with the biker gang I'd give it an 8,5/10, but sadly the drama went a bit downhill after that. I didn't like that when Oh was finished "glowing up" his personality had almost completely changed. And Peach went around flirting with Oh despite still having a boyfriend. When Oh found the guts to confront her about her ignorant behaviour she gets mad at him and then, even though she's in the wrong, Oh goes and apologises to her.
Still, I very much enjoyed watching this drama. It's another one of those "guilty pleasure" dramas, in my opinion. Might have to watch another Nanon drama soon lol

8. All of Us Are Dead
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
I thought it was good! The only other zombie related content I've liked before are Train to Busan and Kingdom s1 & 2. Maybe zombie fan enthusiasts are better at giving it objective critique and therefore are nitpicking more. Flawed and annoying characters is what keeps the show going. They are high schoolers, not superheroes. I really liked Lee Chung San because he looked cool when he was fighting the zombies lol that's it! This drama is obviously liked by the majority of the watchers, looking at the score and the popularity of the drama. It has appealed to the audiences outside of zombie enthusiasts, to people like me. It was a really entertaining drama that pulled me out of my slump. Just don't get hung up on the details. There are more things left to explore in season 2; maybe questions will be answered then.

9. More Than Blue
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
So beautiful and heartbreaking. The story of K and Cream carry so much emotions and depth. Many sad things happened repeatedly throughout the whole drama, but I couldn't cry at first; leaving me feeling like I really have lost my ability to cry (haven't been able to cry for idk how long now). But oh, the 2nd half of More than Blue sure did the trick. More than Blue sure is a fitting title. I really loved the music, especially this song. The story of K and Cream was my favourite, but watching the present characters and their relationships were also entertaining. I have not seen the movie this drama is based on and don't feel the need to do so for now. I found out that the actor who plays K, Fandy Fan, plays in HIStory2: Crossing the Line. He sure can act out diverse roles. I completed this drama in 2 days and would not be surprised if I rewatched this drama in the far future someday.
-
10. Milenovich
Japanese Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
The 2nd hand embarrassment I felt almost every time the female lead opened her mouth... ahaha... ^^; This was a silly drama and exactly what I needed right now. I enjoy these types of dramas once in a while. My favourite characters were both Fuwari–chan and tsundere Mirai–chan (he was best boy according to me). I enjoyed watching this short drama, it was fun.
-
11. A Little Thing Called First Love
Chinese Drama - 2019, 36 episodes
Rewatched February 21st – 24th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
I wanted to watch something happy on my birthday; I couldn't have chosen a better title. I liked rewatching this drama just as much as I liked it when I watched it for the first time. I'm a sucker for puppy love stories about first love. (Spoiler) I still stand by that that confession scene by Younian is the cutest confession I've ever seen.
I love me a good intro and outro, and A Little Thing Called First Love doesn't disappoint. The OST for this drama is very good in my opinion. But I still think that the architecture teacher should be included in the intro!! He is a really important character with a lot of screen time ;(
Younian talking to his mother in episode 33 never fails to make me cry. I've cried more than a couple of times whilst watching this drama, which isn't expected for this type of drama, right? lol. I cried during the last outro because I finished the drama ^^; But there is a high chance of me rewatching this again in the future; it's just the type of drama this is.
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts about A Little Thing Called First Love from the 1st time that I completed it.
-
12. Black Cinderella
Japanese Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
Ahh, I completed this within one day ^^ I really liked it! It was easy to watch with no cringy acting. The actors were really good at portraying their characters. Both of the male leads were such kind people; I liked both of them. I had SLS in the first half of the drama, but I loved our male lead too so he won me over in the end lol ^^ Our female lead was also really cute, I haven't seen the actress before (I'm familiar with both of the male lead actors). I liked the comedy in this drama. The male lead made me laugh a lot actually, haha. He reminded me of Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club during the first few episodes lol ^^
-
13. Reset
Chinese Drama - 2022, 15 episodes
It took me a month to finish this drama. Not because it got boring or anything like that, it was because I started watching it too early without knowing that the last 3 episodes weren't available yet, hence I had to wait for them to get uploaded. It took longer than I thought for the episodes to be released, so by the time they were out I was no longer that interested in continuing. I'm not very good at watching airing shows, no matter how good they are. But now I've completed it and I liked it a lot! ^^
One might not think that watching a 15 episode long drama about a 1 day time loop sounds especially interesting; "what's so entertaining about watching the same thing happen over and over again?", right? No, it's not what you would expect it to be. Every episode is entertaining with plenty of content to keep you watching.
It's a very serious drama, so it'll be difficult for a comedy lover like me to rewatch this anytime soon. But it was definitely worth my time.
I decided to watch the last couple of episodes now, even though a month has passed, because I rewatched A Little Thing Called First Love recently, starring Angel. She is so pretty in Reset and one can definitely see her having matured. She's a great actress and I'll look forward to her future projects! :)
Btw, only me who thinks that the intro song sounds like E.T. by Katy Perry? lol ^^;
-
14. Theory of Love
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
Rewatched February 27th – March 1st. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
Having watched more BLs like Bad Buddy, Kieta Hatsukoi etc. I feel like judging Theory of Love a bit harsher, this time, by looking at the details of the story. There are still a lot of things that I like and appreciate, but the story is a bit lacking compared to other BLs I've seen. But I still like Theory of Love a lot and it feels very nostalgic to me. The song พระเอกจำลอง (Fake Protagonist) by Getsunova was one of my most listened to songs last year. I love the intro song too, it gives me summer vibes ^^
My 2019 Dramas list covers my thoughts about Theory of Love from the 1st time that I completed it (although it's very short lol ^^;).

15. The Shipper
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
So many plot twists I could never guess how the plot would go, let alone who would end up with who. (Spoiler) It went from being such a happy silly show to the most heartbreaking story ever and I just can't stop crying wtf ㅠㅠ I loved this drama so much! I'm feeling really scared, anxious and depressed irl right now, but The Shipper completely distracted me from all of my negative thoughts and filled me with both laughter and tears. I had little to no expectations when starting this drama. I simply wanted to know more about First because I like him in Not Me, so I decided to check out some of his other dramas. I love his acting and his character. I also love Ohm and I'm so happy to see him in yet another drama. I didn't comment much on Ohm when I wrote my Bad Buddy thoughts, but I really love him too. I love his performance in He's Coming to Me (and in this drama too). One can see the charisma flowing out from his body... I'm good at reading people's vibes; Ohm is a great person. I will keep myself updated on both First's and Ohm's future projects. I'm so happy that I watched this drama today.
Rewatched September 18th – 19th. Cried again ㅠㅠ
Rewatched September 22nd for the video: https://youtu.be/uP6Yip0JyUg

16. The Gifted
Thai Drama - 2018, 13 episodes
Rewatched March 6th – 9th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
I have to say that rewatching this again, reminiscing about Bad Buddy, I can clearly see the difference in Nanon's characters. His acting is so good, I forget that it's the same actor who plays both Pang and Pran. Back then (in 2019) I wouldn't have imagined him starring in a BL, but now I love him as Pran ^^ I've rewatched The Gifted once before; both of those times that I watched The Gifted it was Chimon (Wave) and Gun (Punn) who stole the show for me. This time I tried to focus more on Nanon (Pang), but I still loved seeing Wave and Punn again :)
P.S. The intro still gives me goosebumps...
My 2019 Dramas list covers my thoughts about The Gifted from the 1st time that I completed it (although the comment is very short lol).

17. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
!!We have another tsundere everyone!!
It was cute. The two leads had great chemistry with each other; it was obvious that they liked each other, they showed it well. I binged Semantic Error in one sitting. It was very short, like most KBLs are, so there isn't much to comment on.
Rewatched December 18th.
Rewatched December 26th – 27th.
I have become mildly obsessed with Semantic Error, and Seoham and Jaechan's amazing chemistry~ I like Semantic Error more and more the more I watch it. I raised the score after every new rewatch lol. It's a great enemies to lovers drama (starting to like this trope a lot; previously disliked). Will definitely rewatch it again~ -
18. The Leaked
Thai Drama - 2020, 3 episodes
"Because of my handsome face" I–
Do I even have to mention that I picked this up because of Nanon? The Leaked covered some dark things about social media, cyber bullying and nonconsensual sexual acts. Most people don't ever think that they will be in any of the positions of any side of the situations presented, but some might be doing it (cyber bullying) without even realising it. With episode 1: falling for someone so hard, wanting them so badly that you do whatever they ask of you; seems alien, doesn't it? You never know what you would do in such a situation until you experience it. Imagining it isn't even possible.
Be careful on the internet.
(P.S. on a less serious note; seeing Nanon pour water on himself was definitely my favourite scene hahaha ;p)
-
19. The Gifted Graduation
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
Last year I tried to watch this 2nd season. I was really hyped and excited to see where the story would be going. But I was let down as the 2nd season didn't live up to my expectations, hence I put it on–hold on ep. 9; completing it now, over 1 year later. I decided to watch it this year because of Nanon and his performance in Bad Buddy. Nanon's performance in The Gifted: Graduation was truly outstanding, even better than the 1st season, if I dare say so. He is such an amazing actor; no wonder he won an award for his role as Pang. Pang was best boy this season. Wave became really cute too, but Pang was just... he deserves the praise. Everyone depended on him to make decisions, even the adults. I stand by every action he took. Also, although I didn't like him much last year when I tried watching this drama, I like Third. I just do, I don't have a good explanation for it.
Although my score for this season is on the lower side, I enjoyed completing this series. I'm happy I gave it a 2nd chance because I really liked the last few episodes that I didn't get to watch last year.
-
20. YOUniverse
Thai Drama - 2018, 4 episodes
Cute, cute, cute! That sums up this short series. All the characters were cute. Nanon was especially baby, please–!
-
21. Not Me
Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes
Tbh, underwhelming. I think that there were a lot of missed opportunities with how the story could've unfolded. It was a bit jumpy at times and I don't have much knowledge of politics/activism etc. so there were times I couldn't keep up. I'm also a comedy lover so the fact that there were none in Not Me made it harder for me to enjoy it to the fullest. There were no wow moments and I'm not sure if the characters ever learnt anything from their mistakes because I didn't see them improve during their missions. The ending was very bland; a lot of loose ends and cliché happy endings that I found quite uncreative. I'd prefer it if the ending was less "happy" and more realistic in this case; I think it'd better fit this type of story. Oh well... maybe I'll rewatch Not Me someday and change my mind on some things ^^;
Bbbuttt! The acting! It was incredible! Especially Gun is so talented! He looked so handsome in this drama too; he really suits the Black fashion style lol. First looked really cool too. I became a First fan after finishing The Shipper.
Despite my harsh comments, Not Me was good. I liked the first half the most. If this series gets a 2nd season, I could forgive that bland ending. But tying the knot so loosely like this was very underwhelming, like I said ^^; Anyway, 8/10 :)
Rewatched September 20th – 26th. I wrote down new thoughts on Not Me on this list: Dramas I've Rewatched.
-
22. Kieta Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Rewatched March 24th – 25th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
Kieta Hatsukoi is so cute and short it's easy to rewatch at any time. This was the "100th" and last drama that I completed in 2021. This FVM made me watch to watch it again: https://youtu.be/fgy84gdjYxU. It was really nice to rewatch it again ^^
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts about Kieta Hatsukoi from the 1st time that I completed it.
Rewatched again on September 8th – 9th.

23. Chief Kim
Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes
I've known about this drama for a long time, but business and finance related dramas aren't something that interests me. But reading about positive reviews and comments, as well as looking at the score, actors and the comedy tag, I decided to finally give Good Manager a try.
I liked this drama a lot! It was really engaging and it had my type of humour. The characters are the best part of the drama; I love shows where the characters carry the story. All of our mains (as well as many side characters) were really likeable, but I loved Hong Gaeun the most! She was best girl; so cute and competent! ^^ I also loved Seo Yul, the tsundere of this drama (the bromance between him and manager Kim was chef's kiss) ;p
The main reason as to why I currently only give this a 9 is because I got lost with the business and finance related talk a few times. Instead I just watched the events unfold without knowing exactly the gravity of the situations they were facing with the money stuff. But it was fine that way too. It's just me who is uneducated on these things ^^;
This is not a type of drama that I'd usually rewatch, but we'll see about that in the future :) Happy I picked this up!

24. Todome no Kiss
Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes
Rewatched March 31st – April 2nd. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
This is the 5th time I'm completing Todome no Kiss. This is my current favourite Jdrama, and it's also currently placed as nr.4 in my Top 10 list. This is the drama where I fell for Yamaken. He was my nr.1 favourite actor until recently (now Lee Dohyun has the spot), but he has 2nd place now and he's still one of my favourites. I had seen him in many movies before, but his role, Otaro/Eight, in Todome no Kiss is so different from his manga adaptation movie roles. I recently rewatched the Wolf Girl and Black Prince movie (starring Yamaken as the male lead) and saw Mugi, hence I was reminded of Todome no Kiss.
I remember crying really much the first, and maybe 2nd time, that I watched it. A couple of tears still fell down my cheeks this time as well, but it no longer makes me sob lol. The OST is a gold mine tho! I keep hearing both the Ken Arai soundtracks as well as the famous Sayonara Elegy by the even more famous actor and singer: Masaki Suda (who plays Harumi, the homeless guy).
I will definitely rewatch Todome no Kiss again in the future. This drama holds so many good memories of mine.
Btw, I love how I use the phrase "going Takauji on someone" somewhat frequently lol, when describing a similar character, of course.
"じゃね! バイビ!" – はるみ

25. Cupid's Last Wish
Thai Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
Since the moment I watched the trailer my expectations for this drama were already low. It turned out to be what I had expected. The story was not that good tbh. I stayed for the actors. The characters were okay, but not that (what to call it) gripping. Everyone likes EarthMix, including me, so that's the reason why I picked up this drama. Cupid's Last Wish had a similar vibe to A Tale of a Thousand Stars, but it's lacking in quality from its successor. And istg they were just eating throughout half of the drama lol. There were some filler scenes. There were also things/places that appeared once (that were supposed to be important), never to be seen again, a way of (cheap) storytelling that I'm not a fan of. The story lacked in depth and things were never that shocking or important as it should/could have been. A "meh" drama, in my book.
But I am, in fact, looking forward to Moonlight Chicken. I smell something good from the trailer lol xD

26. Twenty Five Twenty One
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
Oh my god... ㅠㅠ This drama was so fxxxing good istg... ㅠㅠ Their story was so beautiful... I'm crying right now omg ㅠㅠ How nice! ㅠㅠ
The ending is fine for me, I understand the meaning behind it. I'm so jealous of it too. (Spoiler) A beautiful moment that doesn't last forever, but becomes a comforting memory that makes you smile when you think back on it. It's a bit more poetic than that, I'm sure lol, but those are my words for it. Omg I'm crying again ㅠㅠ I actually love the ending because it makes the story more beautiful, BUT I WOULD'VE LOVED A HAPPY ENDING TOO ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Not Me and this drama should've swapped ending themes ㅠㅠ
Ah, I'm so jealous. I wish I had more happy memories ;-; I have yet to fall in love too~ Where are you hiding my love? lol ^^
(Spoiler) Am I going to rewatch this someday despite knowing the ending? Probably. If I do, will I cry as many tears as I did this time? Most definitely.
-
27. A Business Proposal
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
A cliché romcom kdrama that has aired in 2022... But it's good. I like cliché stories most of the time, so I enjoyed watching A Business Proposal. I liked both couples. Seol Inah, who plays Youngseo, starred in Mr. Queen; I disliked her character a lot in that drama, but I love her character here ^^ I liked seeing familiar faces in this drama; I recognised a lot of actors. But the drama felt a bit incomplete and I miss some outsiders reactions etc.
-
28. Switched
Japanese Drama - 2018, 6 episodes
Rewatched April 8th – 9th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
(Spoiler) Kaga-kun is still best boy... I will never get over how she chose Koushirou over Kaga ;-; Switched was one of the dramas I watched very early on when I discovered dramas, so it has remained in my heart <3 and specifically Kaga-kun has remained in my broken heart </3 ㅠㅠ Probably the first time I ever had SLS in my life lol.
-
29. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Rewatched April 12th – April 13th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
I just can't get over 25 21 largely because of Nam Joohyuk so I decided to check his MDL profile to see more of his dramas. But instead of starting a new one I decided to rewatch this one instead lol ^^ He looks so happy in this drama (btw, I didn't know until now that our main lead actors dated irl that's so cute~). In 25 21 he looks low-key depressed the whole time, even during happy scenes. I hope it's part of his character. If it is, he's a really good actor; being able to pull off such diverse roles. Although I've rewatched this enough times to get tired of it, I can't lower the rating. It really deserves a 9 in my book.
-
30. The Moment of Meeting Again
Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes
What a beautiful drama. Despite the good score it has here on MDL I still had low expectations for this drama for some reason. It was above and beyond what I had expected. Really entertaining. I thought that maybe the obstacle in this drama would be more bland, but I'm happy it's more complicated than what meets the eye. The time travel method as well; I thought that it was really bad and messy in the beginning (not that the drama was bad, just that the time traveling method made no sense), but the patters were explained upon discovery later in the drama. I also worried that it would either be only romance focused with a bland obstacle (like I said) or that it would be too serious with a big obstacle and less romance. But I think that this drama found a good balance! Which is hard! So I'm very pleased with that. The OST was also really good! Too bad the songs aren't on Spotify (I'll have to look them up). The acting was great. I've never seen any of the actors before. Zhang Wansen is one of my all time favourite characters from now on. I loved him so much~ ㅠㅠ
A downside is that there were a few times where I got confused because of how the scenes were cut. It could also have been the subs that were translated incorrectly, idk. But I think that if I rewatch this sometime again in the future I'll be able to understand more. One more thing is that the female lead was too impulsive and didn't check the facts before she acted sometimes which made me a bit frustrated lol ^^;
It was so good~ ㅠㅠ

31. Promise Cinderella
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I've been meaning to watch this since it was airing but I forgot about it until now. It was fun! Another rebellious tsundere. Felt iffy about him in the beginning, but my heart slowly started to warm up to him. But he was 17 throughout the whole drama... right? Often times I have an underlying uncomfortable feeling when watching age gap dramas where one of the characters are19 or younger, but for some reason that feeling wasn't present in this drama. Maybe it's because the actor looks so mature? (Spoiler) I think those kisses could've waited a year, no? lol ^^;

32. Bad and Crazy
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
I started watching Bad & Crazy in January but I put it on-hold on ep 7. I had no urge to continue watching because I kept getting confused. I lost track of incidents easily, and don't even get me started on all the new faces and names... Now in April I started from episode 1 again and completed it. I still lost track at times. I gave up on remembering the names tbh lol
I love K so much; he was my favourite character. Wi Hajoon and Lee Dongwook's chemistry is really good. And the lines in this drama was so funny: "you treated me like a pice of trash for not helping Gyeong Tae." "when did I do that? You're not that bad." "what am I then? A recyclable?" (one of many funny lines).
The drama switched in the middle. I know that it does tie together, but it felt like a new story. Honestly, I'm not a fan of it. I don't like when important characters are introduced late in the drama. (Spoilers) I felt like the therapist being Yunho was too plain of a choice; wishing it was more complicated. But it was really scary, actually. I don't like that Andrei died. I kind of liked him and Mrs. Yong.
Needless to say, I'm not sure that this is an accurate depiction of real DID. But it sure was a fun watch! Maybe if I rewatch it in the future I will understand more.

33. Entre nouilles et démons
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Rewatched April 23rd – April 25th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
I love these types of dramas; the underestimated opponent turns out to be a dark horse, types of shows. Another example would be one of my favourite anime series, Mob Psycho 100, but these two are just the supernatural ones. I love strong competent characters like So Moon.
The Uncanny Counter is such a satisfying drama. The action and excitement is received and presented well. Since there is a season 2 over the horizon I'll probably rewatch this season again before starting season 2 so that I can refresh my memory.
The first time I watched this drama I saw it together with my parents. It was really fun watching it together and we all enjoyed it (I hope me and my parents can watch another drama together again soon). My score (9/10) hasn't changed from that time even though this time I watched it by myself.
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts on The Uncanny Counter from the 1st time that I completed it.

34. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Rewatched April 28th – 29th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
This drama came to mind so I decided to rewatch it. The first time I saw Move to Heaven I had to watch it at a slow pace because it was so emotional. But this time I could binge it. I still cried many times (how can you not?). Tang Junsang and Lee Jehoon are incredible actors. There is no mistake that this currently has the nr. 1 spot on highest ranked dramas here on MDL. The story is simple yet complex, the visuals are beautiful, the OST is subtle and fits well with the drama, the characters have depth and the acting is phenomenal. You forget that it's fiction.
I'm happily anticipating a season 2 :)
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts on Move to Heaven from the 1st time that I completed it.

35. Model Taxi
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
I tried watching Taxi Driver last year but I couldn't make it past episode 1. I think that the timing wasn't right and also because I was told that this is similar to an episodic drama. I'm usually not a fan of those. But this year, after having rewatched Move to Heaven (starring Lee Jehoon), I decided to give Taxi Driver another try.
Since every case took place around 2 episodes each, I did find some more enjoyable than others. My favourite episodes were the ones where he went undercover as a temporary teacher to get revenge on the bullies (episodes 3 & 4) and also when he disguised himself as a Chinese gangster dealer to catch the scammers (episodes 9 & 10). Those were the episodes that had the most comedy, I think. I'm really happy that there were no fillers in this drama; every scene was important to the story. Because although this is similar to an episodic drama, all of the criminals (spoiler) escapes at one point which holds the story more together. The action was really good as well. I like people who can fight well. Lee Jehoon was fighting in Move to Heaven as well; he has a talent for it. The car scenes were cool to see as well, reckless yet full control over the car.
Seems like this drama will also get a season 2, but I wonder if they can make it at least as entertaining as the first season. I feel like the things that I liked seeing/wanting to see solved have already been taken care of in a satisfying way. I feel like season 2 will have a hard time living up to season 1's success.

36. Love Alarm
Korean Drama - 2019, 8 episodes
I have finally completed the popular drama, Love Alarm (the first season at least lol). I did not like the female lead. Right of the bat she cheats on her boyfriend... It doesn't matter if she didn't love him, she should still have ended it with her boyfriend before kissing someone else. The male lead was cute but also a bit mean in the beginning of the drama. He knew that his best friend liked the female lead but he still kissed her. But I can forgive him because he told him right after and also he kept asking if his best friend liked the female lead but he kept denying it. It doesn't excuse his actions tho. The 2nd male lead is my favourite character here. But I still shipped the two main leads together; they suited each other more (take it in which way you want).
But I don't want to watch season 2 because it has such a low rating. But that cliffhanger tho... I feel robbed of a satisfying ending. But I sense the ending in season 2 won't be what I want it to be, so I don't think I will watch it.
(P.S. every time I see Song Kang I think about 2 things. 1: he is Alyssa's favourite actor. 2: in a Sweet Home Netflix interview he said that he liked the TV series The End of the Fxxxing World, which I also like ^^)

37. The Sound of Magic
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
Ji Changwook is back in a highly anticipated drama based on the popular webtoon by the same name, 안나라수마나라. I've been meaning to read the webtoon since before I knew what a webtoon was (I only knew mangas). But I have still not read it, yet here I am, watching the live action drama.
I think it's good! Definitely something new and daring with having the drama as a musical. I think that it fit the story well, and I wouldn't have wanted the drama to go without it. I like that it was short because then there won't be any unnecessary scenes. My expectations before watching this drama leaned a bit more towards the supernatural anticipation rather than emotional. But I like the theme that this drama went for. The story is actually very touching. I also found the ending really beautiful. It has likeable characters. I really liked our Ji Changwook magician. I think that I might rewatch this someday when I really miss Ji Changwook; I think he played his role really well in 안나라수마나라 ^^

38. Dali and the Cocky Prince
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Rewatched May 9th – 12th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
Dali and Mohak are one of the cutest couples I've seen. Despite their differences, they click really well; great chemistry. I love that their love isn't swayed by the turbulences around them. I think that Mohak is one of my favourite characters throughout dramaland. He is such an extroverted cute tsundere.
I've come to discover that I'm very attracted to confident people (both romantically and platonically), no matter if they are introverts or extroverts. When I say confidence I'm talking about being confident in your morals, beliefs, wisdom and abilities etc. Confidence that shows in your mind and heart, with both intellect and love.
Now, on the other hand, Mr. Segi is one of the characters I hate the most in all of dramaland. I believe I didn't say much about him the first time I saw this drama, but this time I'm noticing how much I hate the guy.
It was easy to rewatch this drama and I hope that I will rewatch it again in the future :)
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts on Dali and Kamjatang from the 1st time that I completed it.

39. Love All Play
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
I hadn't been watching dramas for a while because I was caught up in my writing. But having a rough couple of weeks as well as being sick right now, my creativity has dried up for now so I felt like a drama was the best way to distract myself from it all. I chose a good drama for it :)
I tend to dislike the roles I've seen the female lead actress play in other dramas I've seen, but I had nothing against Taeyang in this drama. I've only seen the male lead actor in one drama before that I never completed, so I'm first now seeing his potential. The drama was more melancholic than expected (although it says melo in the genres section lol). I saw complaints in the comment section that the drama changed midway, and/or that it got draggy in the middle; I didn't feel that way. I might rewatch this drama in the future sometime.
I can't help but to think of Racket Boys when I watched this drama. I have to say that I prefer that one as it had more of a sporty vibe, as in the main focus was the sport. Whereas in Love All Play the drama/melo part plays just as big of a role as the sports does.
-
40. Rocket Boy Squad
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Rewatched June 19th – 27th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
After watching Love All Play I started missing Racket Boys, so I decided to rewatch it. I loved it this time as well! I'm still having a bit of a though time in real life, but this is just the right amount of slice of life innocence I need in my life right now to cheer me up. Sometimes I regret that I didn't choose a sports career path; being creative is hard (not that sports is easy or anything) and sports seems like a lot of fun, especially ice skating (martial arts and basketball seems cool, and of course, badminton is fun as well). I love all of our main characters in Racket Boys and I'm really looking forward to a season 2, that I hope will come out sometime soon :)
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts on Racket Boys from the 1st time that I completed it.

41. Money Heist
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
I feel let down that they split this into two parts; wouldn't have started it on the release date had I known beforehand. I barely touched the original Spanish TV series a few years ago and I barely remembered/remember anything, so starting this Korean adaptation was fresh to me.
My favourite character is actually Berlin. It's not necessarily because I like his ways, it's more so because of his character's consistency. He is so confident in his ways, even though those ways are more on the violent side of the spectrum, he doesn't feel like it's wrong, or rather, he doesn't care that they are seen as wrong. The actor plays his character really well, and he made me try to rewatch Prison Playbook. As for Denver, the actor's character has a completely different persona to his character in Flower of Evil whom I adore and (spoiler) who is also the bad guy in that story.
So when will part two be released? How long will I have to wait? Do I have to rewatch it then in order to follow the story? When? When? When? Honey... don't do this.

42. Don't Call it Mystery
Japanese Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
The first drama I've completed in a while. I found it hard to find good dramas so I started watching western media instead. I rewatched Teen Wolf, and I also watched a few movies. Masaki Suda and Dylan O'Brien look similar, don't they? Or is it just me? lol
It was good. I finished it within 2 days. I'm hoping for a season two; curious about the rings. Except for the two that were shown in episode 12, the (almost) bomber had one as well with an Aries symbol on it. With how they left it it's either intended for a second season or it's to make the viewer go and read the continuation in the manga instead. I'm hoping for a season two tho ^^
Also (istg I'm always behind on this stuff lol) I didn't know that he was married omg! And to beautiful Komatsu Nana! Thats great! ^^

43. Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
I got excited about this drama as soon as the news got out about it. Eunbin is one of my favourite actresses so I was curious how she would portray Youngwoo. I think she did a great job (but I have little to no knowledge about autism so idk).
I liked that there is romance in it. I liked that it wasn't the focus of the drama and more of an extra "treat". I found the pair really cute and I'm satisfied with how much we got :)
(Spoilers) I have mixed feelings about Kwon Minwoo. I disliked when he turned to cheap methods to sabotage for Youngwoo, but when I heard his reasoning behind it I strangely started to respect him. He felt inferior to Yungwoo but saw her as an equal as well. He didn't care that she has autism and just complained about the unfair treatment within their workplace "due to her". Before he said that I saw him as a villain of the story, but after his raging confession I saw him as just a believable character. I'm very happy that he came to his senses towards the end of the drama.
(Spoilers) This might be one of the few times that I felt the ending was rushed. She just met her brother and then it was over. I wanted them to have more interactions. I wanted Junho to meet Youngwoo's father and to learn the truth about her family. I'm unsure if these are hints for a 2nd season, but that feels a bit cheap. I'd rather have a couple more episodes to give this drama a satisfying ending.

44. 30Sai made Doteida to Mahotsukai ni Narerurashi
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Rewatched September 12th – 13th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
This drama always make me happy. This is the 3rd time seeing it and it definitely won't be the last ^^ I did lower the score a tiny bit, but that's just to correct it to my current rating system. Meaning that my overall enjoyment of it haven't changed.
I feel like these types of BLs are rare. Cherry Magic is top 3 for me, after Bad Buddy and Kieta Hatsukoi. Or maybe I'm just too strict on BLs? lol
My Completed Dramas 2020 list covers my thoughts on Cherry Magic from the 1st time that I completed it.

45. KinnPorsche
Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes
I made a comment in the comment section:
"I just completed KinnPorsche, so here are my honest and harsh thoughts about it:
– Great acting; forgot they were acting tbh.
– I’m a fan of well made intros, and I liked this one.
– Loved Porsche’s fun and eccentric personality, definitely my favourite character.
– How many times can we feel sad for Porsche? Because wtf
– My favourite episode/s were when they were lost in the forest together.
– Kinn and Porsche had so many cute scenes~ Loved it
– I like Pete a lot and I hate that he got Stockholm syndrome for Vegas.
– Vegas is a sociopath and I’m sad that he didn’t die.
– Wtf was that last episode tho??
– But the action was great.
– Porschay is just like “aha, I guess my brother is a mafia boss now. Alright”
– I don’t care to comment on their mother or Kinn’s father.
– Why do I not care that the last episode is a mess tho? lolConclusion: 8,5/10
Would rewatch on a rainy evening."That basically sums it up. Also, I wrote above, on Cherry Magic, that I had my top 3. KinnPorsche might take 4th place.
Last thing; I hate smokers, but why does Porsche look so attractive every time he lights his cigarette?? ok bye

46. Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai
Japanese Drama - 2022, 4 episodes
Everything was so beautiful and peaceful. From the things they said, to the way they acted, to the visuals of the drama, everything. They are so cute ㅠㅠ I wish it was longer ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Istg I was really close to crying in the last scene in the last episode ㅠㅠ
-
47. His - Koi Suru Tsumori Nante Nakatta
Japanese Drama - 2019, 5 episodes
This has been on my PTW list for a while now. I've already watched the movie and I didn't know that this was the prequel until I had completed it. So I just left this alone for a bit, hoping that having seen the movie before the drama wouldn't ruin the drama for me. But after having seen Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai earlier this day with the same lead actor, Kura Yuki, I decided to give this a try since I saw this being compared to it as the better drama. It was good. But maybe because I had expectations, I feel a bit let down. The beginning of the drama really hyped me up, but as the story got more complicated I felt a tiny bit frustrated. It was entertaining and it wasn't super dramatic or anything, but I wanted to see more of the two main lead's romance together. (spoilers) They didn't have many romantic moments and they confessed in the last scene of the last episode. I was a bit let down. But I really liked it anyway. It was good and I would definitely rewatch it sometime in the future :)

48. Alchemy of Souls : Partie 1
Korean Drama - 2022, 20 episodes
When I first saw the first episode back in August I didn't like it very much. I'm not usually a fan of wuxia or mythical fantasy stuff, see. But I decided to watch episode 2 in the end of September, and I really liked that episode, so I decided to continue watching. I completed it in 3 days. I very much enjoyed it actually. I do feel like the story almost outshined the characters tho, which isn't my preference (I prefer character driven stories). Not to say that the characters weren't good or well made, I just didn't feel a very strong connection to them and I think it's because the story was the priority in this drama. But I'm looking forward to season two; the ending was really intense. December, huh?
(Btw, completing the last episode of Alchemy of Souls made me reach 5000 episodes on MDL)

49. I Secretly Fell in Love with the Student Council President
Taiwanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This was so cute~ Even though they were a bit awkward at times, I still felt that the two couples had great chemistry with each other. The story was deep enough to matter and the characters were detailed enough for such a short drama.
Ah yes, it was short indeed. The problem with short drama is that some knots might not be tied properly and/or some events or characters might not have as great of an importance as they could've been if the story was longer. It's like this with About Youth as well. I felt there were a couple of unnecessary characters and I would also have liked to see Ye Guang's parents apologise to him. And the thing about head boy seems a bit insignificant tbh.
But the romance was really cute which was obviously the main focus of the story. The characters were cute and likeable as well. The music was also really good.
-
50. The Best Story
Thai Drama - 2021, 3 episodes
It's been a long time since I cried during a drama ㅠㅠ This one was so emotional; I was not prepared for an ending like this. But the story was so sweet and most of the characters were cute and likeable. The song he played was really good too~ I loved the two main lead actors, especially the guy who plays Best, War Wanarat. I love it when people can act with their eyes (that's one of the reasons why I'm such a big fan of First). Because of that ending I don't know when I would rewatch this in the future, because it definitely deserves a rewatch.
It's funny that it's called The Best Story since the name of our main character is Best.
-
51. En of Love: Love Mechanics
Thai Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
I decided to watch this because I liked The Best Story. Although, I actually thought that I was watching the 2022 version of Love Mechanics, but turns out it was this instead. It was very jumpy and fast paced (or am I missing something?). It felt a bit like the less good version of Theory of Love tbh; one lead is sh*tty and the other is sad. But I really liked War's (Mark) acting again. He's really talented.
-
52. Love Mechanics
Thai Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
Wow! THIS is better; now we're talking! lol. Tbh the situation they are in in the beginning/more than half of the drama is not very good. But this time we see that Vee actually has a likeable personality and a real heart, opposed to the original series. Mark is great, he always has been. I just really like their characters this time. But that could be because of the incredible acting! Both of them are so talented!! For the other one I only commented on War, but Yin is also great. They have improved a lot.
The chemistry between them was present in the original, but in this one... OMG! I saw a comment on MDL that said that this is the first time they've been convinced that the two leads are actually in love, or something along those lines. I agree! They are up there on OhmNanon, FirstKhao, FirstGawin level I'm telling you! They suit each other so well! Their acting is truly amazing! I loved the series THIS MUCH because of their chemistry.
Dare I say that this is the better version of Theory of Love?
-
53. Utsukushii Kare
Japanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
I expected something more innocent with this one (I mean look at the intro). I'd feel extremely uncomfortable if I had someone worshipping me like that. That means that they would see me as superior to them, which happens in Utsukusii Kare. Being put in a position like that definitely feels gross, like Kiyoi keeps saying to him all the time. (Spoiler) Maybe if he had realised that they are both just equal human beings a bit earlier and not at the end of the last episode, I might've been more accepting of this drama. Because no matter how much I look up to celebrities that I like, I know that we're all just human beings.
So all in all, this drama made me feel uncomfortable.
-
54. Triage
Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes
I've kept away from this drama for a while now because I don't like watching medical dramas. But since I'm a big fan of time travel and time manipulation in general, I just had to try it. I'm very glad I did! It was really good. The character development in our two main characters were beautiful. I really like that the other party (the one who wasn't controlling the time travelling) were able to remember the other loops if they tried. This drama reminded me a bit of Someday or One day towards the end. Although this had a lot of medical themes, I still felt it wasn't focused on it. The focus was more on getting out of the loop, solving mysteries and falling in love. This drama had a lot of moving and emotional scenes, but I couldn't cry. I don't know if I'll be rewatching this tho, it feels more like a drama you only watch one time, but you never know.
This seems to be kind of like a prequel to Manner of Death that I've seen in the past. I've forgotten a lot of it tbh, but I think it had something to do with organ trafficking. We also see our two main leads from Manner of Death as guest characters in Triage playing the same roles as they did in their series.
Oh, and I just checked; they were a couple in 2 Moons as well, huh. I thought Tee Thanapon, the actor who plays Tol, looked familiar.
(Spoiler) I liked that we got a happy ending. And I really like this part of the end quote in the last episode: "Strive for what you wish to have and never stop moving forward".

55. Some Day Or One Day?
Taiwanese Drama - 2019, 13 episodes
Rewatched October 21st – 23rd. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
Rewatched my favourite drama once again. Cried this time as well. Their story is so beautiful; this is so well made. I love this drama so much.
My Completed Dramas 2020 list covers my thoughts on Someday or One Day from the first time that I completed it.

56. The Eclipse
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
I had expectations about the plot that weren't met. With supernatural as a genre and some misleading tags, I had expected something a little bit more extreme. My first thought was that it felt like a "wannabe The Gifted but with gay characters". I was critiquing the drama quite harshly in the beginning and it was largely due to my expectations. But as the story progressed, as well as the incredible acting, I came to see the core focus (from my pov) of the drama.
The Eclipse is a character driven drama focusing on internal conflicts, especially Akk's complex mind. Akk is a fantastic character and I think that's largely due to First being able to express Akk's emotions so well. First was the main reason why this drama peaked my interest since I've been a fan of his since Not Me. He've said in interviews that the best thing about Akk is his character development. 100% true! Akk's character development was fantastic; the best thing about the drama! I loved seeing the gradual change in his eyes as the story progressed. First has a talent where he can perfectly depict a character's thoughts and emotions only though his eyes.
This drama made me like the enemies to lovers trope more. I loved Akk and Ayan's relationship development throughout the series. They found comfort in each other and grew together; it was beautiful. I couldn't stop my tears from falling when I watched the last episode. I've been following this for over a month and I loved seeing them happy together in the end.
I will definitely rewatch this.
-
57. Little Women
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
I started watching Little Women in the beginning of October but I only got to episode 5 before I stopped. But on Halloween me and my parents started watching Little Women together.
It's very entertaining and extremely dramatic. It was truly very scary. I find women a lot scarier than men. When I have nightmares about someone chasing me or hurting me it's always a woman whether I know her or not. I liked the oldest sister the most and I found the youngest sister the most annoying. But Inhye and Hyorin was so cute together I would ship them if they were a few years older. Loved Wi Hajoon as always of course. And I'm sorry Ha Jongho for suspecting you for being a villain throughout the majority of the story ^^; You were just too innocent and I refused to believe that.
It's a bit too dark/dramatic for a rewatch, but you never know.

58. Nevertheless,
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I have stayed away from this drama until now partly due to the synopsis and tags, and also because of the score. But I've been feeling kinda down lately and just needed anything, whatever drama/movie/TV–show I found only remotely appealing. So Nevertheless showed up in my Netflix homepage, like it does sometimes, and this time I decided to click on it.
It's a lot better than what I had expected. The story is definitely for adults; teenage Silje wouldn't have given the same score as adult Silje has given it. It's entertaining and easy to binge watch. Some comments say this is realistic love, but I wouldn't know.
(Spoiler) Tell me why I rooted for the male lead and their romance when I know he is... Tell me why I was happy in the end when they got together. It's probably because the female lead like him and I rooted for her to be happy. I had my score at 8/10 through episode 1–9, but episode 10 made me give it an 8,5/10 only because they had a "happy ending" (can I call it that?) together.
It was good, I liked it. Might even rewatch it sometime in the future. This drama also had a good intro which is always a bonus point in my book.
-
59. Weak Hero Class 1
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Omg... wow! This drama made me so freaking excited, but teen Silje would've loved this even more than the current me. I just love characters like Yeon Shieun! People who just go crazy... it's a bit weird, but I just love that (I wrote about that in my article "Asian Dramas and Mental Health" back in 2020). The story and all characters except for Yeon Shieun I give it an 8,5/10, but because of his character and because of the actor who plays him I give this a 9/10 just because I love characters like that. Park Jihoon is so talented! I really liked his character in At a Distance, Spring Is Green as well. He is good at portraying the emotions of someone who is struggling (with mental health, for example). My respect for Park Jihoon as an actor grew very much with his role as Yeon Shieun. Hope to see him in even more projects in the future.
There will be a sequel? Weak Hero 2? When?? I want it now!!
-
60. Extracurricular
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Rewatched November 20th – 21st. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
Watching Weak Hero Class 1 reminded me of Extracurricular; they have similar vibes. This is the 2nd time I'm rewatching Extracurricular and season 2 isn't out yet! Will there even be a season 2? I hope so, because I really like this drama. I just love raw characters like Jisoo, Shieun (Weak Hero Class 1) and our two main leads from Better Days. Those types of characters are just~... They satisfy the creative part of me, if that makes sense. But I really dislike Bae Gyuri and the police woman... it's rare for me to dislike characters this much, but I just don't see any good qualities in either of them. Kwak Kitae is a bully, but he is more human than both of those two combined... I'm very tired of writers writing women like them. At least Minhee is likeable.
But season 2, when??? I raised the score for Extracurricular during this rewatch from 8,5/10 to 9/10 because the only reason I gave it an 8,5/10 in the past is because it's incomplete. Istg if Extracurricular doesn't get a season 2 soon, I'll lower the score again...
My Completed Dramas 2020 list covers my thoughts on Extracurricular from the first time that I completed it.

61. Star and Sky: Star in My Mind | Sky in Your Heart
Thai Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This is exactly what I needed right now. I've been having a hard time with anxiety again lately and this took my mind off of it. Sad it's so short, but it was nice at the same time (since I don't like filler).
What made me choose to watch this right now was partly because I saw the announcement of their upcoming drama for next year, Hidden Agenda, and also because I stumbled upon Joong's Twitter and saw the pinned sunflower post.
Star and Sky: In My Mind was really cute and simple. I think MDL need to give this a higher score because below 8 is just so wrong! The two leads have really good chemistry.
(Side note, I love Ciize's light pink hair! ^^)

62. Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai!
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! ㅠㅠ <3 This was so good~ They were so cute and the humour is right up my alley~ I love our two main leads so much, especially Kota; I love his personality. Why is this drama so short??? I want more... ㅠㅠ

63. Minato Shouji Coin Laundry
Japanese Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
It was nice :) I binged it in one day. It's nothing new, but it was nice to see this type of story again anyway. I liked that they waited util Shin became an adult before things really became serious between them.
(Btw, why are everyone so handsome in this? Unfair...)

64. Old Fashion Cupcake
Japanese Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
It was alright. Maybe I would've liked it more if I was a bit older. There is no comedy but it was really sweet. But the first 3 episodes were pretty similar and it wasn't until the end of episode 4 (in my eyes) when things started to move forward at a rapid rate. Episode 5 was just a waiting game (which isn't uncommon, but you know, it most often does not contribute to a positive score for me). But it was fine, and also short, so it was easy to complete.

65. Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2022, 9 episodes
It's been a hot minute since I cried this much. This was so beautiful. I related to a lot of things as the drama was very realistic. The only thing is that I've never been in love so I'm quite envious of that ^^;
I've always wanted to travel to Sapporo! So I loved that the majority of the story takes place there. I like being up north. Sapporo is even one of my dream potential places to live (if I go there beforehand and like it there, of course ^^).
Every part of the story was beautiful but I especially adored their innocent high school romance (maybe it's just because I'm super jealous). They were so cute and the actors are so talented! And istg if someone smiled at me the way teen Harumichi smiled at teen Yae I would just smile and cry at the same time ㅠㅠ The way they got to know each other and their happy times... ㅠㅠ Wish I had someone like that~
Their adult life I can relate to Yae's feelings. Although I'm only 20, I've had this dream for so long and I'm questioning whether or not to give up, and do what everyone else wants me to do, more than what I should be doing. I wish I could relate to her son, but he is a lot better than me; I'm not like him. But I like what Harumichi said about when a plane reaches a certain speed you have no choice but to fly. That's something to think about more.
The positive aspects of Yae being a mother makes me want to be a mother too. I hope I can become a mother in the future.
(omg Araki Towa who plays Yae's son played child Takauji in Todome no Kiss!!!)
Loved this drama so much! <3

66. Kamisama no Ekohiiki
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Aww, that was nice! A body swap drama Jdrama style. I was about to skip this one when scrolling through the MDL gay romance tag because of the poster. But I'm glad I decided to go back and click on it because the synopsis drew me in right away! The story was good. It feels like something I've watched before, but at the same time not.
I liked the characters but especially Rin–chan and Yashiro. I didn't ship them as a straight couple, but I liked them as individuals. Rin–chan takes the nr.1 spot tho! I really liked the short time when she and Kagura (with Yashiro's soul) went on a date together. I just loved Rin–chan's pure love for Kagura. But I'm happy about the end result.
I really liked when God made Kenta experience a parallel world so that he could experience what life could've turned out like if he pushed Yushiro away from the beginning. I liked the realisation that Kenta had in that moment. (Spoiler) I'm happy that Kenta and Yushiro became a couple in the end ^^

67. The Circumstances of Pungdeok Villa Room 304
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Cute~ I liked it. It's quite cliché tho with tropes and conflicts we've seen before, but it was still a nice watch. They are really cute together and the two actors definitely have chemistry going on. I have to be honest and say that I didn't really see a clear progression in their relationship. It was more like they really disliked each other and then they became close almost all of a sudden; it was more like a shaky shift, if that makes sense. I'm not a big fan of that because it makes me confused. But maybe I missed something or didn't understand everything; I was multitasking whilst watching this drama, see.
I have to say... I absolutely HATED that con artist "friend"! Like– Omg! He's definitely on the list of my most hated characters ever!!
To end on a positive note: again, it was cute~ and I'm glad I watched it :)

68. Alice in Borderland
Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Rewatched December 8th – 11th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
I wanted to rewatch this before watching the 2nd season on the 22nd. I'm traveling that day so I cant watch it the same day tho...
It was good this time as well. Yamazaki Kento is, and has been for a long time, my favourite Japanese actor.
I don't really have much more to say about Alice in Borderland that I haven't said before.
My Completed Dramas 2020 list covers my thoughts on Alice in Borderland from the first time that I completed it.
(Actually I haven't said very much about it, rereading my comment from ^the list^ but oh well...)

69. Connect
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
I had low expectations because of the score on MDL and the trailer, but it was a lot better than what I had expected. It was a bit gross sometimes tho. I liked that they used astrology in a more serious sense, even if it was for murder... ^^;
Some things I didn't like very much is that there were many long unnecessary scenes where the character/s on screen just stood there; the series tried to create some sorta vibe, but it didn't work on me. I also don't like that yet another series is split into two parts...
But I enjoyed it. It reminded me of Tokyo Ghoul a tiny bit.

70. Khun Mee Patihan
Thai Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
Ahh... ㅠㅠ what an ending... cried a lot during the last episode (and a bit throughout the series as well). I loved Tofu so much~ ㅠㅠ I have a soft spot for stuffed animals to begin with, and now there is a human who is like a teddy bear, that can also fall in love... ㅠㅠ
I loved the first half of the drama a lot (like 8,5/10). It was more innocent, had less drama and more comedy. Tofu was especially cute here when he was learning things for the first time~
But the drama had a slow shift as it progressed, so towards the end it felt like it was a separate story. It started with all of Nut's tantrums, then it was the family backstory, the mentally ill mother and then (spoiler) she got physically ill as well (which I felt was a bit too much tbh)... There was also a lot of investigation scenes with Tathan's case (which was an alright "side story"/part of the story, although not the best) and that organisation (which felt like a weak villain). But the best things about this part of the story was Song and Kensit's relationship developing (Song is my 2nd favourite character here) as well as Tofu's character development and how he helped everyone with all of their problems. Tofu deserved so much more! I wish he got angry with Nut at least once!! But he was just kind the whole time. Because of this, I have to say, their chemistry was on the weaker side. But I wanted it to work because it brings Tofu happiness!
I get that Nut had trauma but, although it can be a reason, one's mental health issues can never be an excuse to do something bad. Although he softened up due to Tofu, Nut never learnt this lesson.
(Btw, I noticed that Tofu almost never used "krap" nor "khaa". Instead he said "haa" at the end of his sentences; I wonder why. I'm trying to learn Thai and haven't come across this yet)
I'm gonna miss Tofu ㅠㅠ

71. To My Star
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
Rewatched December 16th – 17th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
This was even cuter and better than what I remember!! I had to raise the score from 8,5 to 9. I'm gonna watch season 2 now~
Like I said last time, Kim Kangmin's (Han Jiwoo) smile is so beautiful~ ㅠㅠ He doesn't smile very often in the series compared to Kang Seojoon (Son Woo Hyun's smile is very pretty as well), but when he smiles I just– >.< cute~
They have good chemistry as well~
My Dramas & Reality – 2021 Completed list covers my thoughts on To My Star from the first time that I completed it.

72. To My Star 2
Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
This was so good~ Yes, Jiwoo was overly tsundere for the majority of the drama, but when they were happy they were so cute~ >.< They have even better chemistry in this season! I also like that there are 10 episodes instead of 9, and that the episodes are longer than season 1. The story felt more developed (even though season 1 had a well written story as well, but when the series is longer you can fit in more things) with more complex conflicts and characters.
I still dislike the lovers separated trope so I was hesitant to watch this season (and rewatch season 1 first), but I'm happy I decided to finally watch it! I liked it a lot! ^^
Hope to rewatch this someday :)

73. Où tes yeux s'attardent
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Rewatched December 18th. List: Dramas I've Rewatched.
Hmm... I had to lower the score quite a bit upon rewatching this one; previously rating it a 9/10. This was one of the earlier BLs I've seen, so now that I've seen more BLs (and dramas overall) I feel like it's of lesser quality compared to many others. It was still enjoyable and easy to binge, but it wasn't as cute as I remembered and the chemistry between the actors felt weaker compared to other BL couples I've seen in dramaland. The story is actually on the more detailed side despite the drama being only around 80 minutes long as a whole. The characters, however, feel mediocre to me. Or maybe above mediocre, but not by much. Maybe that's why the story has room to shine through. But despite all of my complaints, I still like this drama :)
My Completed Dramas 2020 list covers my thoughts on Where Your Eyes Linger from the first time that I completed it.

74. Color Rush
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
I've had Color Rush on my ptw list even before it was airing since the synopsis sounded interesting but I've been avoiding watching this ever since it aired because of the score here on MDL. I finally decided to watch this, and just as I feared, it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. The story felt lacking, the characters felt bland and the chemistry wasn't that strong. The story was also a bit weird; (spoiler) I didn't like the obsession part about the mono crimes and him considering kidnapping the other guy. The mystery about his mother was never solved either (maybe it's in season 2, but I don't think I'm gonna watch it). Despite the drama having an interesting premise, the story wasn't that complex. The time frame for this drama feels like it's quite short and they aren't pulling it off. I kept watching because it's short.

75. She Makes My Heart Flutter
Korean Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
It was nice and cute! But I feel like I watched this at the wrong timing, so I might have to rewatch it again in the future when I've forgotten about it. The story was really sweet and simple yet engaging. The actresses were all so beautiful like what??? And the acting was great!! Ahh... we need more of this! I haven't watched much lesbian content and that's probably because there aren't much of it (compared to BL). I think this might be my first asian lesbian drama series I've watched (hope I didn't forget one).

76. Cutie Pie
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
Wow this was so much better than I expected and my expectations were already high! I love these types of stories a lot; hidden identity with comedy (and romance is a bonus~).
I loved Kuea and his double personality/hidden identity. His two personalities being so dual is always fun to see in stories (Kota from Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai! comes to mind etc). I love his bad boy look and that he's both a singer that plays drums (I love drums) and he also drives a fast motorbike (I'm not good with cars/motorbikes etc. so idk exactly what type it is, but I love motorbikes/motorcycles as well and I've always wanted to ride one, preferably my future partner can drive me places~^^ I can only dream~) and likes driving sports cars etc. It was fun that he kept what he studied at uni a secret as well. And he was so good at singing!! I loved the songs he sang! My favourite scenes in the series (beside the cute stuff) was when he was doing music~
All of the characters were really great! Every important character was kind and played a significant role in the story. I loved all of them ^^ I found Foei the secretary very funny; I loved his scenes.
Cutie Pie also had a lot of important messages and discussed some important topics. I'm working on a story myself but I'm having a hard time coming up with what message I want to convey in my story atm.
Loved this drama a lot and will definitely rewatch it again in the future~

77. Tu me fais danser
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
It was ok. Very simple and very short which made the story seem a bit forced and too unrealistic. Their chemistry was below average and it looked like the actor who plays Shion doesn't want to be kissed. I'm also very very very tired of those types of endings.
But I was really sad today. Maybe that's why I thought this drama as ok when it actually deserves a lower score.

78. Imawa no Kuni no Alice 2
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
It was very similar to season 1 except that season 2 had more focus on side characters, and those side characters outshined Arisu a lot. To be honest, I felt a little bit let down by Arisu this season. I kept waiting for his genius moment but it never came. Instead I found myself loving Chishiya's scenes the most. Chishiya is more smart and observant whilst Arisu panics a lot and comes up with a solution last minute. That worked for him in season 1, but in this season he felt weak compared to pretty much every other important character.
But I enjoyed this season as well even though Arisu let me down. And now (spoiler) it seems like we'll be getting a season 3 as well with the joker cards. I'm pleased with that because I wasn't quite satisfied with the meteor thing.
This is a very rare occurrence for me, but when it comes to Alice in Borderland it makes sense to split it into multiple seasons. The only thing is that we had to wait for 2 years for season 2 so who knows how long we're gonna have to wait for season 3. But you can tell how much work is put into the series so it makes sense for it to have taken a while.
I'll definitely watch season 3 when it's out.

79. No Turning Back Romance
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
(Spoilers) SLS seriously!!! Jaechan I was rooting for you~ ㅠㅠ But I have to agree that she suited the guy she ended up with the most. But I wanted Jaechan's character to be happy ㅠㅠ Jaechan can just be 상추오빠 in Semantic Error then; he has Seoham so it's fine lol.
Hope Jaechan will star in other dramas in the future. He has talent and it shines through even more in Semantic Error. DKZ are very talented as well, I've been listening to Cupid (사랑도둑) nonstop these past few days.
