For When You Need Some Adorable Fluff
This is not a terribly deep, complex story by miles, however it’s not trying to be.VIP Only is more of a slice of life story of two people falling in love It is quiet and takes its time. It meanders through affection to love. It’s very sweet. Conflict is minimal but does last a couple episodes due to their short length.
Stan and Xuan have great chemistry together. Not the very thirsty, sexy chemistry one may expect from or look for in many Thai BLs, but rather a very cozy and comforting chemistry. These are actors who very much feel at ease together and who create a very believable picture of two individuals who will ultimately create a long lasting life together.
Liu Li can be pretty oblivious and dense, I won’t lie. He has that sweet, dumb puppy kind of personality but that isn’t all there is to him. It’s easy to dismiss or discount him but you see the layers if you’re looking.
Gu Jing can be reserved and even standoffish but the warm, fuzzy bits shine through when he’s with Liu Li. This is someone who shows how he feels through actions rather than words, gifts or grand gestures.
Ren is a grumpy, very sassy curmudgeon. Yet he grows on you and eventually shows glimpses of his soft bits and the way he cares for others under his prickly nature.
If you want a thought-provoking story, this isn’t what you’re looking for. If you want hot, rip each other’s clothes off chemistry and NC scenes, this isn’t what you’re looking for. If you want a lot of twists and turns, tension and suspense, well this is definitely not what you are looking for. But if you want a show that makes you feel the way a warm cup of cocoa or a big bowl of your favorite soup makes you feel on a chilly day, then this is worth watching. If you want a love story that feels like a blanket right out of the dryer, then this is a good bet.
Sometimes you just want something sweet and simple to give you a dose of happy. For me, that’s what this show is.

Not PERFECT but FUN!!!!!
I think viewers nowadays expect some perfectly written kdramas with top tier actors and flawless characters. This drama is NOT THAT!!! However, it is sooooo entertaining and addicting to binge watch. It's really cliche and cringy to the point that it's actually good. The bromance between the Shax members with all the bickering and teasing, the love-hate relationships between managers and the idols and the lowkey flirting between girl groups and boy groups. This drama has it all!!!It also touches a lot on the current issues of the kpop industry including reporters blackmailing companies using idol couple scandals, agencies abusing and mistreating their idols, young and naive trainees taken advantage of and suicides due to pressure from the industry. If you are a fan of kpop or atleast are familiar with it, give this drama a shot.
The cast also did not deserve the hate they received as I think their acting are up to standards....obviously it wasn't a gong yoo or a son ye jin performance but it is good enough.

Sviluppo troppo lento
Andava persino all'indietro.Cet avis était-il utile?

After watching the series I was unable to appreciate any kdrama or lakorn for about a week because nothing seems to compare to it. But I’m still thinking if I would watch it again later on. It brought out a lot of emotions which am personally not comfortable with. I sincerely really enjoyed watching it the first time though.

DONT WATCH THIS FUCKASS SHOW
now listen here i dont usually write bad reviews BUT THIS ONE>??????? it deserves all the hate it can get. where do i even start???? oh my god. it made no sense. BOTH THE LEADS ARE FREAKKKSSS AND WEIRDOS!!!!!! i wish i never watched this show. i watched it becuase i was bored and now it will forever be stored in my brain AND NOT EVEN IN A GOOD WAY???? this literally is about friends with benefits and how the male lead is such a player and a HOE and also hes so obsessed with butterflies AND THE FEMALE LEADS NAME IS LITERALLY BUTETRFLY IN KOREAN>>??? WHAT?????? this is besides the fact that they were so on and off and it was just dumb. they would flirt and then have SEX and then hed be with another girl????? AND SHED GET MAD!!! like girl you KNOW he did not want a committed relationship ....... and then once she finally ends things with him hes like "i will go ... if you tell me ...." AND HE DOES!!! (thank god) AND THEN COMES BACK IN THE LAST EPISODE ... and the cringiest thing happens ....... she takes him back ........ LIKE THE DUMB ASS SHE IS ...... and theyre just staring at each other and theyre like "i know i might get hurt .... nevertheless ...." SHUT THE FUCK UPPPP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UPPPP this entire show must have been an experiment of some sort because what the actual hell there is no way someone would actually write a story like that and think it would blow up. people who liked this show are probably just horny and sex deprived BUT EVEN PEOPLE WHO ARE HORNY should not watch this show because trust it wont make you satisfied. you might actually get turned off! dont watch this. at all. dont. dont even think about it. god save us from these showsCet avis était-il utile?

the best of the best korean bl
It is a story that from beginning to end is deep and cruel. shows how you don't necessarily have to share a blood bond with someone for them to be your family and refuge It shows us how life goes on and sometimes we are the ones left behind thinking about what we could have done well and what we couldn't. It shows us the prejudiced love that some parents have where, blinded by this, they end up hurting and damaging the lives of their children. They show us how a relationship can have love but that doesn't mean they will be together forever. They show us how people are going to come into our lives who are going to leave their mark on us, whether for better or worse, but who are going to help us develop as people.Cet avis était-il utile?

This is my favorite Korean drama of all time. I only watched room 709's storyline, so this review will be for that. It was so beautiful to see their relationship blossom into love, and how it created conflicts between the two. The ending made me BAWL my eyes out. Yes, it was that sad and I really loved it. I didn't watch any other room's story, so this isn't a total review on the whole show, but on one storyline. If you are into basic BL with no kissing, I recommend room 709 in The Lover. That whole thing shaped BL in Korea and I have to give all my respect to both of those actors. Even though there is no kiss, it has an amazing story and to be honest doesn't even need a kiss. It just shows the relationship between Joonjae and Takuya. Takuya is a very friendly person who moved into this shared apartment with Joonjae, after coming from Japan. There are funny little interactions between them and even a sexual one? Yeah, it's confusing to explain. But, later Joonjae starts feeling things from this attractive, cute, and funny Japanese man. That's where it all goes downhill. Joonjae is actually dating someone and has been the entire storyline. Joonjae and his girlfriend have a fight, the girlfriend figuring out Joonjae has feelings for Takuya. *Here is a little insight on how he realized his feelings. Takuya invited a friend he had in Korea, but Joonjae becomes very jealous, ending him up to lock himself in the bathroom, throwing all of the items on the counter, off.* Takuya has always had feelings for Joonjae as well, but as we all know, Korea isn't a big fan of gay people. So, Takuya decides it's best off if he leaves Korea all together and goes back to Japan, thinking his crush on Joonjae will stop. This is where I then cry because the screen goes black and I thought that's where it ends. I then went to the comments to only found out there is more. I press play. It turns out someone is knocking on Takuya's door, remember he is in Japan. He opens to door to see Joonjae with luggage by his side saying, "Good afternoon, my name is Joonjae. I came," in Japanese. He basically reenacts the entire scene where Joonjae and Takuya first met (which I think is so beautiful). If you can't tell, I love this storyline so much, and I do recommend to watch every storyline, but The Lover is more known for this beautiful BL part. I have watched many BL, even ones with many kisses and ending up together, but I love how this BL shows the side of being judged for your sexuality and the build-up of a relationship. Overall, this will maintain is my favorite BL drama, even though it isn't even the main focus. Cet avis était-il utile?
A fantastic commentary on human behaviour, but the series is not for everyone
The drama has rave reviews and high ratings and that is for a good reason. It's a well-made drama based on a solid plot line. It will resonate with a post-covid audience on random governmental controls and lockdowns as well as human greed and power plays. Every episode keeps you on the edge, and not a single scene is predictable or boring. But everyone probably knows this all by now from reviews and word of mouth. On the negative side, honestly, I struggled to finish the series - I had to take long breaks in between episodes and had to watch happy/feel-good series before being ready to come back to Happiness. The title conveys how difficult it is to find happiness in our day-to-day lives, and the series' plot line is also like that. Happy moments are rare; when they do come, it is refreshing. But it's so, so rare amidst all the conflict and chaos.
When you do manage to finish the series, it's all worthwhile as it is a happy ending. But the journey to get there is filled with fear, anxiety, worry and disgust, probably quite an accurate reflection on human behaviour around the pandemic.

A LAUGH OUT LOUD K-ROMCOM AFTER AGES
I've been a but of kdrama slump when it comes to romcoms, so when i ramdomly came across this title, i went in with no expectations. And boy was I surprised. This was a fun romp that consciously takes every cliche from kdramas and fairytales and puts it on steriods. It doesn’t take itself seriously at all, that makes for such fun viewing. I belly laughed at some of the scenes. The narration, the animation, the lead characters, the supporting characters, even the villian, were so camp that it was a delight to watch. This may not have that many swoonworthy moments between the leads but the leads genuinely look like they enjoy each others company and respect one another. It also doesn't descend into a typical marysue trope. It really deserves a higher rating.Cet avis était-il utile?
