【FAVORITE: Dramas of All-Time】

[ c-drama, 2020 ] ♥  

⇨  a lovely and heartwarming tale that features the found family trope in all its glory. we essentially follow three children into adulthood. i really felt as if I was growing and learning as they did too. it had a perfect balance of angst, fluff, and comedy. the OST was also hauntingly beautiful. 

➨ second half kind of got draggy and rushed but this mainly had to do with the side characters or plots.

⇨  definitely worth the hype and praise it gets. despite censorship it manages to tell a beautiful story of two soulmates struggling to survive. it's full of action, mystery, angst (so...much...angst), romance (although it's more hinted at), and complex characters. the OST is gorgeous along with the cinematography. 

➨ it can get very draggy, boring, and confusing at times. it takes a good 12 episodes just for the plot to pick up but I don't look at this as a fault considering the worldbuilding called for it. the CGI at times was atrocious too but it was kind of charming in a way.
