Every Korean or Other Asian Drama I Watched in 2021
This is the place where I rate and review every drama that I saw in the year of 2021. It's basically my diary of feelings about (Korean) dramas. It's important to know that there can be a few entries full with spoilers since this list is mainly for myself anyway. Furthermore, most of the dramas I watch are K-dramas, but you might see a random Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese, or Thai drama here and there.
This is also the year I became one Asian drama hermit and vigorously lived off them. There's truly no hope left, my life resolves around K-dramas. I'm like Western media who???

1. School 2017
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I'm honestly so shook that a 30 year old (at that time 27) actually looks like a fucking high schooler. I honestly don't know how they managed that, but our ML whose an adult in real life looks like a freaking high schooler here. Besides, I'm officially stanning Kim Jumg Hyun now since I end up loving all of the characters he's playing and his acting is just top notch (Alberto is still my fave thou). Also, this is one of my favourite couples ever. Their chemistry was just surreal and they work just really well together. Not only are they supportive of each other, their banter is also out of this world. However, it's one of the slowest of slow burn romances ever BUT IT'S SO WORTH IT. Also, the focus on friendship, webtoons & a corrupt school were done so well. I truly loved everyone (except for those 4 rich bitches). I ALSO DIDN'T KNOW MY BAE ROWOON WAS IN THIS, so I gasped when he appeared. I also shipped the heck out of FL's BFF & guitar guy; they were so cute too. Oh and the guy who always drinks his strawberry milk was such a mood! Mr. Shim is the teacher we all deserve and I aspire to be that kind of teacher (well combination of him & the gym teacher because he truly gave zero fucks too). Lastly, this drama is even worse than the HSM trilogy because there the couple at least kissed each other which sadly didn't happen here. It's probably because of the age gap between the two actors or I'm a pervert for kissing BUT I WANTED THEM TO KISS. Really good & really cute.

2. Handmade Love
Korean Special - 2020, 8 episodes
I was completely mesmerised by this drama from the set design, to the production etcetera. Not only were those elements amazing also the cinematography, custom designs, and special effects were done so freaking well. Most of the time I even forgot that I was watching a webdrama, it was simply that good. I've never seen a webdrama with such good quality before. I personally also appreciated how the romance of this drama was on the backburner & that it focused more on the healing of the clients from the shop. I also loved the fantasy elements and our main characters. It was very funny how our FL and Woven's servant formed a reluctant friendships. I'm kind of sad that this drama wasn't any longer because I definitely could have watched these characters create the perfect clothing for the client which would help/heal them for many more hours. Plus the ending was so satisfying to watch! Watching this drama was basically such a relaxing and healing process.

3. Si bien chez soi
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
S P O I L E R S. I wasn't expecting that a horror dystopian kdrama would give me feelings. Normally I'm like lol KILL THOSE BITCHES since characters in horror stuff are mostly annoying but now I was like PLS DON'T KILL MORE OF THEM. So many of my favorite people died. I loved bible samurai and I shipped him with my gal Ji Soo. Both of them were my personal favourites. I also shipped asthma suffering care taker and fake gangster with a burned scar so much. And don't even get me started on our REAL MVP the wheelchair MacGyver. It also wasn't needed for the abused wife to die and for our man of action, besides it also still hurted like hell when our favorite grandpa died. Also, literally the most unlikely people survived. I love that though since now I've got hope for the future if something like this ever happens because this drama has raised the hope for the survival of potato couches like me. But the funniest thing about this show is how the majority of the time I was bitching about ML's hair when it suddenly hit me: I HAVE THE SAME HAIRDO BUT WITH LESS VOLUME. So I had such a FML moment. And somehow I forgot that I knew our ML from Love Alarm & Ji Soo from IOTNBO. I honestly understand the hype surrounding this show now and Sweet Home actually deserves that hype. I did absolutely loathe little ballerina at times but she spitted out some truths too. Bom's mum was a mood too and my heart ached for our ML. I have no idea how I feel about ballerina's leader big bro and firefighter girl. Oh and this show includes little kiddos that don't deserve to die unlike those Jurassic Park kids. They actually listened to the adults and didn't endlessly scream. However, the CGI of this show was really bad and cringe worthy at times. It's also not really horror horror or super gory but more like a suspenseful survival dystopian with monsters and people dying in creative ways. And after that ending I NEED a second season.

4. To My Name
Korean Drama - 2019, 6 episodes
This was definitely a cute mini web drama but it honestly was way too short. I really hope that this amazing Tumblr AU will be picked up again in the near feature and that it will be made into a full-length feature or series with longer and more episodes. But for what this show did was really fun though. I definitely had a fun time watching this and I was captivated by the story. I also liked how queer positive this mini series was (even though none of the characters were LGBTQ+). I liked how this web drama didn't turn it into something big when the characters thought that our ML was into a guy or when our FL thought that two of her roommates were gay. I thought those two misunderstandings were really funny. Also, the blossoming relationship between the mutual friends of our FL was absolutely cute too. So it was overall a fun, quick, and easy drama to watch & I hope that I will see some of the actors in future projects since I did like how everyone acted.

5. Mr. Perfect and Miss Almost
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
This drama was pure sugarcoated candy. It was all the fluff, lightheartedness cuteness that I needed in my life. I ate this drama yp like how I eat my sweet candy which is stuffing myself with as much as I can & enjoying every second of it. This drama had some Lolitia vibes in the beginning. This was only because of certain choices the costume designers & the directors made & not because of the romance itself. I'm happy how quickly they dropped those Lolita aspects & how they never came up again. There was never any useless drama based on their age differences, which I truly appreciated. The main couple was just so great at communicating with each other & healthy as fuck. The ML is truly one of the HEALTHIEST pure love interests I've ever seen. I loved how our FL was the one who initiated physical contact like kissing/hugging 90% of the time. That was truly refreshing. It's basically the only student-teacher drama (besides my Strange Hero) that I'll allow because it wasn't really a student-teacher love story for multiple reasons. He was her teacher for one course but their relationship started after she wasn't enrolled at the university anymore. I was also invested in our secondary couples & I'm happy how all of them ended up together. I was so gay for the FL's sister she's such a beautiful lady. I shipped the two friends but I agreed with the male friend that the girl had to undergo some changes so I'm happy how the writers handled their romance. I was going to say that a boss of our FL/classmate of our ML was the real MVP but he doesn't deserve any praise since he was just an actual fucking decent person for supporting the relationship between the FL & ML. I do think the couple wouldn't have gotten together so quickly if it wasn't for his help but him not being in the way of their relationship isn't something praiseworthy. This drama is so sweet that it basically gave me diabetes.

6. Growing
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
I love the girls budding friendships. But why do they always carry their laptops and don't put them in a bag? I'm a university certain and 95% of the time people put their computers in their bags instead of carrying it. Lol, drunk Ah In dancing with that figure is such a thing I would do too. Also she could literally be Go Ah Ra's little sister. In the beginning I was hoping that Sun Woo and Ha Young would make it trough because I really wanted a healthy stable relationship before the show started be healthy and stable until the ending. Only then so many red flags kept popping up around Ha Young's boyfriend. However, I don't think Sun Woo was the only one to blame for their relationship turning bad since Ha Young constantly doubted his faithfulness to her even before she knew she had an STD. I'm really proud at both characters for how they ended their relationship of years. Both of them were really mature about it, which I appreciated. It is possible, apparently, to have an STD and not show symptoms for a few year. It's typical for women to not always have Chlamydia symptoms eventhough they do have. It might not even be such a stretch that her partner didn't test positive since they were together for 4 years including the years he went to the military. Omg I loved how this show was so open about things that are normally very taboo in South Korea. I loved all the sex positive talks but also how it touched upon periods, consent, STDS, etcetera. I honestly felt so bad for Ji Yoo but I loved how nothing stopped her and how she continued to live her life the way she wanted. She was her authentic self and how open she was about her sex life and enjoying it, was inspiring. Ah In and Kid Park are honestly the cutest. I ship the heck out of them. Also Ji Yoo and her tenant are really cute as well. Simply one if the best female friendships I've seen.

7. Black
Korean Drama - 2017, 18 episodes
I didn't like how they turned a transgender woman into a villainous character since that's such a harmful stereotype. I'm getting so sick of LGBTQ+ people getting villainized in shows, books & movies. Don't even get me started on how one of the grim reapers was clara, the transgender woman, in her old appearance (what she looked like befor her transition aka her wrong body). Like honestly WTF! That's another harmful thing to do to the LGBTQ+ community but especially the transgender community. I'm really pissed about this. Of course that character also went to hell *insert swear session here* The only positive thing I can say about this transgender representation is how Detective Na didn't know that Clara was transgender & he only found out after she died when her body was found 20 years later. I loved how that reveal didn't impact his love for her which I wasn't expecting from conservative Korea. The reason why I continued had to do with how he show is actually really good It's put together so fucking well. One of the best mysteries/crime stuff I've seen in a very long long long while because even I'm not 100% sure where this is going. Vagabond kept me guessing to but this truly foreshadows stuff so fucking well without giving stuff away but lol I guessed some of the many plot twists by the end. I guessed who the bad guy was & that there was another bad guy who I also guessed right. The moment they brought up the time capsule I was like THE TAPE IS IN THE TIME CAPSULE & it fucking was. Besides it's one of the most beautiful bittersweet endings. Apparently I like to hurt myself because I love bittersweet endings & this one was so beautiful. I hate sad endings but this was the only option & it kinda sucked but that wasn't for forever. I see people BASH the ending while I'm like .. t was perfect

8. Part-Time Idol
Korean Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
This was very funny but also really bad. It kind of was that bad that it made it enjoyable. I did like every character and I loved how their group was formed and their friendship started. I like how the producer sort of chose them based on their weaknesses instead of their strengths. Besides, the weirdest things happened in this short little drama that had me rolling on the floor with laughter. I do think the acting and cinematography at times were a bit iffy. They could have been done a lot better. Also, the producer is the most random dude ever which was quite funny. I also thought the whole part-tike idol thing was funny, I never thought of artists in that kind of way. Lastly, I loved how their group consisted of both genders which is something I haven't seen before. So it was overall a fun & hilarious drama that could have geen a lot better.

9. Love is...
Korean Special - 2017, 3 episodes
I don´t know how this drama special managed to make me emo, but it did. I literally teared up while watching the full 18 minutes of this. Every little story felt so pure and heartwarming and just so wholesome. Like Yook Sung Jae´s character was just such a little precious bean, the way he worked as a barista was just too relatable. His letter to his girlfriend was also one of the most adorable things I have ever seen. He is the boyfriend/significant other we all deserve. I also liked how each episode naturally flowed into another episode. I truly thought that was done so nicely. But if I have to be honest LEE DONG WOOK STOLE THE SHOW. He is basically also the reason why I watched this and I have no regrets because this was beautiful. Wookie once again made me sob. And don´t even get me started on his smile, his smile just automatically turns me into a mush of feelings. His confession was just the cutest. Also, love is ... JEWELRY apparently hahaha. I love how this special was basically just a fancy beautiful jewelry commercial instead of an actual mini drama/drama special. Oh and one must see the bloopers, they are hilarious.

10. Clean With Passion For Now
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I wish I would stop seeing dramas with dead people in it. It's the 3rd one this month & it really depresses me that these talented people are no longer among us. I loved both leads so freaking much & they were the cutest couple ever. Gil O-Sol was so relatable kind generous & beautiful. Seon-Gyeol's mysophobia was done so respectfully & really felt authentic/accurate. I really loved them together. Their kisses were the best & truly something else. I had severe second lead syndrome since Daniel/Dr. Choi/rooftop guy is the ultimate dream guy. I loved him so much; he's kind gentle funny smart & he cares so deeply for the people he loves. His bromance with Seon-Gyeol was just the best. Their scenes really cracked me up. Don't even get me started on the side characters like Gil O-Sol's friends from cleaning fairy were just the best. Everytime the friend from both Gil siblings called someone big sis/ bro I just died on the inside. The friendship between the 4 of them was so genuine pure & beautiful that it made me emo. I loved how Gil O-Dol was romantically linked to his sister's best friend. From the moment those 2 had a scene together I SMELLED ROMANTIC TENSION & was I shipped them from day one. I loved how they became a thing & I wish they had more scenes together. It's just hilarious how O-Dol is supposed to be O-Sol's younger little brother while the actor is in fact 4 years older than her, that cracks me up. Every time Seon-Gyeol's grandpa came on I always had to think of him in 100 days my prince where he always laughed like hehe. Every time we saw the grandfather I was like hehe. Secretary Kwon was a babe & I loved ML's mum. The FL's dad just keeps popping up in almost every drama I watch that dude never stops working. I appreciated the OST. The last scene was one of the most cliche things ever & I loved it . I don't understand how this drama is so underrated it deserves so much more love.

11. Queen of the Ring
Korean Drama - 2017, 21 episodes
Even if I was a girl I would like girls, that's how much I like girls :") Ahn Hyo Seop's prettiness, hotness is truly what saved this drama. Also, our FL is definitely not ugly, just not wearing the right clothes & having the right hairstyle. The mother and daughter fighting over who gets to wear the ring was hilarious. I truly can't support this relationship because she's basically lying about who she is without him knowing that. I don't like how their whole relationship started on a lie. Also, I don't really think that Ahn Hyo Seop's character is that horrible. He was just a player in the beginning. I truly hated the beginning (aka the first episode) but now I'm thinking this isn't so bad after all. Okay, even though it was super sketchy what the girl did to the guy I actually liked how they ended up together. I secretly think they were cute afterall. It's definitely a drama that has some problematic elements but that has never stopped me from enjoying one before. However, that ending was just over the top cliche lol.

12. Torn
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
I liked it and had fun while watching but I have to admit that I've watched better web dramas than this one. I also have seen this concept before and I feel like it was better developed in those shows. Besides, there were quite some inconsistencies within the show. One day the kids wore their high school uniform to school, while other days they didn't. Also, somehow every character lives alone while still being in high school & almost every parental is absent from the screen. I also think that Ina my girl deserved better. However, the FL's best friend was a mood and she was the best aspect of this drama in my opinion. She also did what I wanted to do which was giving the ML a haircut, lol. It's funny though that the only adult we see is the woman with short red hair who is like a multi talent since she isn't only the art teacher and the hairdresser but also the photographer. Lol, we stan a multi talented woman. Oh and even my fake tears are more real than FL's cry sessions in this drama. And the bubble tea love in this one was just everything. Overall cute though but that ending is so not an ending. Hello season 2 where you at?

13. Entre nouilles et démons
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I'm so gonna make a cosplay based on this series now. It's official I'm going to cosplay as a counter. Omg I'm so gay for Ha-Na like so gay. My gal is one stunning badass kicking lady. I'm just absolutely in love with her I don't like how sad this kdrama is. It's breaking my heart. Grim reapers looking fresh in red tracksuits. They literally turned the trope of a female lead that goes through so much into the male lead that goes through hell. This time they gave the girl Ha-Na a tragic backstory instead of the dude Mun & they made Mun suffer like nobody else which is refreshing. Mun has the best friends ever they're so precious. I'm shipping the hell out of Mun & Ha-Na. Ms. Chu is honestly the mother we all deserve & Mo-Tak is like the uncle figure hero we all need & deserve. I love how all the counters formed a found family with each other it's just so beautiful that it's making me really emotional. Lol first time that actor from 100 days my prince doesn't remind me of that character & his hehe laugh. I'm so emo like really emo. Why do kdramas destroy me so much? I'm sobbing about one again. Just casually crying about uncanny counter again. My heart is getting destroyed. Someone finally remembered the love of his life again and then she died. Mo-Tak lost his memories after a coma & then after 7 years he finally regained his memory. Right before they were to meet since him remembering everything she got murdered. My babies go through so much. I'm swimming in an ocean of tears now. I jokingly thought she dead when he arrives at the place where they were supposed to meet & THEN IT ACTUALLY FUCKING HAPPENED & I was like speechless ... They truly did that which basically resulted in me crying like a big baby again.

14. Long Time No See
Korean Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
I kindly suggest y'all to watch this on vimeo instead of torrent sites since in times like these we should support our independent movie makers and studios. Companies like these are so far one of the very few people who create Korean LGBTQ+ content, so they deserve our support even more. This mini drama was overall really sweet despite its grim storyline. I also wasn't expecting those intimate scenes since kdramas are generally PG13 and even if there's a "sex scene" it's heavily implied or fades to black, so I quite liked this and how it was done like your average American sex scenes in movies or shows (aka where you still see nothing but it doesn't fade to black etcetera). I quite appreciated the more mature themes in this drama and I thought it was done very tastefully. Also Chi-Soo is actually such a sweet puppy and I really felt bad for him. I really liked how he finally got the family he so deserved. Wild Dog's sister was also the real MVP and I loved how supportive she was of her brother and his sexuality. The acting, production, cinematography, sets, costumes etcetera were really nice too. I definitely think it's an underrated drama and it's really something you should watch if you either liked where your eyes linger or if you want a more mature boy love drama without any harmful representation. Besides, the two leads had great chemistry.

15. Step Dad On Paper
Korean Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
YouTube randomly suggested this web drama to me so of course, I had to watch this. I honestly don't know why but I think the weird premise piqued my interest. However, the FL's voice annoyed me until no end. She has one of my least favorite voices ever but I also wasn't particularly fond of her acting. Besides, this is officially one of the weirdest k-dramas I've ever seen, without being problematic though. Also, the second lead syndrome was real. FL also had more chemistry with SML. Only the SML was really well developed, the other characters felt flat to me. Also, the whole plot wasn't properly developed and the same thing can be said about the relationship. Furthermore, the little kiddos wore way too much makeup and don´t even get me started on the whole year later plot point. That whole one year later and let's get married thing had me like ... okay then o.o

16. Amanza
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
This was hauntingly beautiful and so goddamn sad. Ji-Soo's amazing acting really was through the roof amazing. Even better than his usual acting. This drama also had so many layers and hidden messages that I'm just an emotional mess after finishing this. The story, the cast, the production, the animations, OST everything just fit so well together and added to the amazing message of this drama. The ending almost had me sobbing in tears. I'm really sad how underrated this drama is, because it's so freaking good. It's crying a river good because of everything the characters go through. Everything was so beautiful, so authentic and so fucking sad. I definitely will be thinking about this drama a lot in the future. FYI I watched this drama before his controversy came to light & I am probably still going to watch some of his old work since some of those claims have been proven as false. I'm giving the dude some leniency since he actually took responsibility, apologised, and forgave some of the accusers for spreading false information.

17. Run On
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Apparently, my feelings about this drama are like all over the place but they are all positive feelings since I loved this drama so freaking much. Run On is basically about the everyday lives of extraordinary people. The main couple was just absolutely the cutest and they communicated so well with each other. I also had the BIGGEST crush on both Oh Mi Joo, Ki Seon Gyeom, Seo Dan Ah & May. Also, the happiness I felt when I realized Lee Young Hwa was played by the actor who also played Choi Hoon (from my first first love) was immense. His character was just super adorable and relatable and how easily he cried was both hilarious, cute/adorable, and one bigass mood (I felt very seen by his character). Also, apparently, Oh Mi Joo has stirred a new dream in me because apparently now my dream job is her job. Guess I will be providing subs on Viki now because she made me fall in love with it. Additionally, Seo Dan Ah hahaha I am gay joke to avoid marriage was just top-notch. Just everything she did just had me rooting for her and drooling over her (same goes for Oh Mi Joo). Also, HOW DID PEOPLE DARE TO SHIT ON KI SEON GYEOM THE MOST PRECIOUS BABY PUPPY EVER! He is one of my new favorite characters ever and he was the opposite of boring. My heart ached for Seo Dan Ah´s younger bastard bro, and I am thrilled that she finally accepted that cutie pie as her sibling (because baby deserved that too). Kim Woo Shik also deserved everything and lol their other track friend was hilarious too. Another gush moment is how freaking queer-positive this drama is, it has like two prominent side characters that are part of the LGBTQ+ community (May is asexual and she felt me very seen & Young Hwa´s childhood friend is gay). The representation was so respectful and wonderful, just ashshsjs. This whole drama is basically an ode to movies, which I loved since movies are a big passion of mine too.

18. Color Rush
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Whahaha this (web) drama almost convinced me that being a mono & a probe was actually a real condition. I mean they portrayed it as something so convincing and had properly developed the idea of that disease that I actually thought it was one until I googled it. I also think this web drama has one of the most beautiful cinematography ever. The scenes of the two leads in that light museum/exhibition was just breathtakingly beautiful. I also liked the chemistry between the two of them; both actors had amazing chemistry and acted really well. I also loved the side characters. The class president is honestly the real MVP; the way he came up with the whole LETS MAKE A PUPPET OUT OF BALLOONS SO THAT THE TEACHER THINKS THAT GOO YOO HAN WAS PRESENT WHILE HE WAS NOWHERE NEAR THE SCHOOL. That is just pure brilliance. I also loved the other student who was possessed by a ghost called the grandpa 70% of the times; something that is completely random but hilarious nonetheless. However, what the actual fuck was that ending??? The drama just suddenly ended while nothing was resolved. So many things were left open and unresolved like what about Yeon Woo´s mother for example? Nothing was answered about her. So the drama was overall pretty cute and really unique, the ending/finale was very lacking. Still it has great cinematography and is queer, which is why I ultimately would recommend this drama to people who want LGBTQ+ themes in their K-dramas.

19. Live On
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
I kept putting off to write this little section for Live on since the show really made an impact on me. This show made me feel so many things that I never knew to express my love for this drama into words. I honestly wasn't expecting to love this drama as much as I did but holy cow I loved this. The characters felt so real, raw, fleshed out, authentic and so much more. It truly felt like they could have been my friends and my heart ached for them. I also think everyone's acting was just superb and I can't wait to see their careers take off. The love story between Baek-Ho Rang and the radio host was just the CUTEST. I also thought that the portrayal of bullying and baek ho rang's trauma was done really well. Besides, Baek-Ho Rang's best friend was the true MVP. He simply was a rain of sunshine that brightened everyone's day. Just the portrayal of friendship in this drama overal was just everything. I can't count the times anymore how many times live on made me cry and so freaking emotional. The whole radio broadcast was so original, so fresh, and something new. It's the first show & kdrama I've seen that deals with radio and broadcasting (I know Radio Romance existed before this but I haven't seen it yet). I also love how the title basically has two meanings since it could mean live on 1 2 3 (thus the time when you're about to go live) but it could also mean that it has to do with living on/continuing with your life after a trauma. I simply fell in love with every character and every bond between the characters made my heart squeal.

20. Tale Of The Nine Tailed: An Unfinished Story
Korean Special - 2020, 3 episodes
Oh Lee Rang oh Lee Rang how much I've missed you. You actually deserved a full length drama instead of a special, but I take everything I can get. These little episodes had me laughing so hard. I feel like I would have been really similar to him if I was a supernatural being too. Also, this once again shows how much Lee Yeon loved his little brother and vice versa. BUT HOW DID THIS SPECIAL DARE TO MAKE CEY A WHOLE RIVER. It ain't fair... However, it's funny though that they didn't show Lee Yeon's face since they used a stand-in for Lee Dong Wook. It still delivered many emotional gut wrenching punches when the two brothers appeared together. The moment episode 2 even showed an older brother carrying his little bro too was a nice parallel that made me emotional as fuck. I also loved Lee Rang teaching our bae Yoo Ri to live as a human & the moment she saw her future love interest was also such a nice touch. And Yoo Soo Bin's cameo made me incredibly happy. I'm still not over blackie's reincarnation and how emo it makes me. I also love how he's always able to follow Lee Rang even when he tries to ditch Blackie. It was hilarious how he run away from a little kiddo, it cracked me up. The moment Lee Rang turned into Yoo Ri and then suddenly her love interest showed up made me lose every respect I had for myself and had me rolling on the floor with laughter. The moment he turned back into himself was pure gold. Also, the moment he went looking for Blackie I was just sobbing my soul out, crying twenty rivers. Them playing games together was just big uwu energy until they showed the two of them in the past and I was sobbing again.

21. Out of Breath
Korean Drama - 2019, 3 episodes
You could truly see that this web drama was made by a queer woman for all the queer girls out there. It's truly such a gem and talks about how it is to be queer/gay in a country that's really conservative. That best friend is like a dream and her comment about if every short haied girl was gay how that would be heaven (I mean she ain't wrong). I also loved how supportive that best friend was since she obviously liked our FL but still wanted the best for her. Furthermore, the FL's best friend and the fashion style of our FL and her in general made me so gay. Truly two beautiful women (FL's love interest was also really cute). Also the chemistry between the FL and her love interest was just through the roof and their kisses added like 10 years to my life. I'm so happy that I randomly found this gay gal Korean drama and it's also my first one that focuses on a romance between two girls. It's just so cute. The story, however, is quite simplistic but it has a lot of layers and messages underneath that simplistic story. Just nothing but praise and love for this. AND IT HAS A HAPPY ENDING, whoohoo. Besides, one quote from the show really stuck with me and that's: "One lie leads to another lie and then I lie again to cover that lie."

22. Mr. Queen
Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes
I obviously shipped Bong-hwan with cheoljong. There was no way around that gradual chaotic mess of a love story. They were hilarious together & both of them brought out the best out of each other. Just chef's kiss. I also shipped Prince Yeongpyeong with Jo Hwa-jin, but the ultimate ship was Byeolgam Hong and Kim Hwan. They even made me more emo/emotional than the main couple that I shipped did. Their (b)romance was just everything to me & both of them were just whole bigass moods. Lastly I shipped so-yong with kim byeong-in. Na In Woo is sincerely an amazing actor & he truly made me fall in love with that character. I was also so happy that his character was redeemed in the end. I can't wait to watch him in river where the moon rises. And don't even get me started on Shin Hye-sun. She's such an amazing actress & truly portrayed a 21st century man stuck in a woman's body in Joseon perfectly. She was just superb & her comedic timing was just gold. Kim Jung-hyun has officially become one of my favourite actors ever. That man is simply astonishing & one of Korea's best actors ever. Also court lady choi & the head of the kitchen were hilarious (both separately & together) but the real mvp of this story was hong yeon. Nobody can live up to that pure soul. Besides the kickass female characters just had me living, all of them sincerely added 20 years to my life because they were that EPIC. This drama was truly female led. I also don't hate the ending but I'm not in love with it either. It's not a bad ending but I'm just sad that bong hwan & cheoljong didn't get their happily ever after together. I honestly stan this drama & 100% agree with the hype & love its receiving. 10/10 comedy but it didn't make me as emotional as other 10/10 dramas did (even though I was really invested in everything) which is why it's ultimately a 9 star drama for me. Still one of Korea's best. Bong hwan a is now my theme song.

23. Mr. Queen: The Bamboo Forest
Korean Special - 2021, 2 episodes
Hong yeon's secret strength was just everything and I loved how court lady Choi narrated this mini series. Also, the first meeting between the king and so-yong made me so freaking emotional. Damn those writers for giving me all those damn feelings. It's also funny how similar so yong and bong hwan actually are. And don't even get me started on that sibling game war, that truly had me rolling on the floor with laughter. The whole the world will end plotline was also funny as hell :") All of their wishes were so cute but honestly Hong's wish to be reborn as a stone (because my man deserves some rest) & court lady choi's wish to be born as the queen's mother (all because of dem etiquettes) were the best. I simply loved how this mini or special or whatever you want to call this drama gave such little insights to the characters. I still can't believe that bin wrote those popular and beloved erotica novels, lol. You go girl. Besides, kim hwan × hong byul gam are still my OTP and it was simply hilarious how the two of them were going on about how prince yeongpyeong and byung similarities. I honestly agree and the 'twins' denial about it were just everything. Mr. Queen the secret basically got 9 stars because of those steamy kisses between cheoljong and bong hwan.

24. To My Star
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
I didn't hate this drama but in all honesty it kind of felt flat to me. I really wanted to love to my star and believe me I tried to really love this, but I ultimately felt very lukewarm about this drama. Not only was kid park (le chef) in it, an actor who I really like, but so far I've enjoyed watching every boy love webdrama. I might even like this less than my most disappointed bl drama, which is where your eyes linger. Both actors were great though and I have no complaints about their acting, I just didn't feel any chemistry between them. Besides, the hot kiss from the last episode I didn't feel anything for their relationship. I even think that their relationship is super underwhelming and underdeveloped. I truly didn't understand why these characters suddenly liked each other or how they had a romantic connection. I honestly thought that park kid had more chemistry with his coworker who stabbed him in the back than he did with the actor. However, I did really love the OST of to kitty star and the manager of the actor was truly one big fluffy piece of cuteness. In my opinion, he's even hotter than the client he managed. There's objectively nothing wrong with this, which is also the reason I gave it seven stars instead of six. I somehow didn't vibe with this one. It's also funny how I personally loved other boy love dramas like mr heart & wish you a lot more than to my star, even though the majority loves this drama more than those ones. I still would recommend it to anyone who wants to watch more queer kdramas since there's definitely nothing wrong with the representation or story of to my star. It's also one of the rare webdramas that doesn't leave you hanging with a lot of questions.

25. Replay
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I liked this and I thought it was a cute but simplistic drama. I had a great time while watching it and it was super easy to follow. Nothing too dramatic or complicated but nonetheless nice to watch. I also really appreciated how this drama showed how childish we can be as teenagers while also showing the growth some people go through. I really liked the emotional growth and maturity of both the ML and his rival. Another aspect of this drama that I really liked was the storytelling through a replay aspect and how they interwove both the past & present. That was truly a cool way to narrate this story and definitely one of the drama's strengths. Besides, I also thought that our ML was really cute. The OST of replay: the moment when it starts again was also super lit.

26. Ending Again
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
I only have one word for this drama and that's cuteness. I also really liked our female lead and I liked how this drama showed the real side of getting over a relationship of 8 years. It truly showed the trials and tribulations of letting go of that relationship and the past. The fake marriage plot was just superb too, which basically was a guarantee anyhow since I'm a hoe for fake relationships. The husband was also so cute (so much better than the girl's ex since it truly showed that he got bored of her and I feel like if he truly loved her he would at least have tried to do long distance). It was also hilarious how the best friend of our female lead was such a disaster and fell both in and out of love real quickly. I liked how her character also grew and how we as viewers saw her develop her very first relationship. Furthermore, I am in general just in love with playlist dramas and I love how they sometimes feel more mature in their portrayal of characters and their romantic lives (I love how they include much sexual freedom and that it's not a huge scandal or something if characters have sex before they really really established their relationship). Overall just really cute, entertaining, and super easy to watch. It also took my mind of some issues I was facing and I truly needed that distraction, which probably apso added a whole new layer of love to this drama. I overall would really recommend it since it is super fun and super short to watch. I just love Korea's web series a whole lot apparently. And don't even get me started on the little cameo roles of other actors and actresses who've starred in a playlist show before. That was really cute too.

27. Love Alarm Season 2
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
I'm sorry but I honestly don't understand why people love Sun Oh so much. He's such an entitled prick. Jojo doesn't want to become close with him again, she constantly says no or walks away but does Sun Oh listen? NOPE. He constantly yells stuff at her YOU STILL LOVE ME, YOU LOVE ME. That's honestly not attractive at all and kind of a huge red flag. I know how Jojo suddenly dumped you and broke your heart wasn't fair and a really shitty too but that doesn't give him any right to behave like this.
Also, how dare he ask hye yeong how it comes that they aren't close anymore. I'm like bitch you started this by deliberately going after YOUR best friend's crush simply because you wanted to. And the way Sun Oh treats his current girlfriend is simply just horrible. Juk-Yo deserved so much more than she got. I did like him when he was in a relationship with Jojo & he treated her pretty right back then, but I'm honestly so happy that I was team hye yeong since season one.
Also, the stylist of jojo's character truly made her wear hideous things inb the first 2 episodes. The white on white outfits with a colourful jacket weren't the best choices. I truly want to throw away those damn awful white pants.
Song Kang is a great actor BUT OH MY FREAKING GOD I CANNOT STAND LITTLE WHINEYASS SUN OH. He's so freaking annoying, so fucking annoying. The worst person is still jojo's aunt undoubtedly. -
28. Kill It
Korean Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
OCN thrillers are truly something else & so freaking good. Somehow OCN has a thing for butchering kids so that you can harvest their organs because that was both a plotline in this one & black. This is also the kind of shit I wish for when I talk about humane assassins; they're killers with a heart. Is it aweird that if I were to be an assassin I would want to be like kim soo hyun since he kills people but can't hurt animals. Honestly same (without the killing). I also had such a love-hate relationship with Phil (his role in mr. Queen was the opposite from this). KIM SOO HYUN DESERVED BETTER. I'm still so sad that he died. There was no other possibility but it still hurt so much. My baby suffered so much, didn't have any choice but to become an assassin to survive but he always choose to protect the weak like seul gi, grey & those numbered children. In the end he was the hero that saved all those children from his faith while sacrificing himself. It broke my heart how heartbroken Nana's character was when Soo Hyun died in front of her eyes & to be honest I cried like a baby too. Phil's death was sad too but nothing can compare to Soo Hyun's death. When I found out they only existed so their organs could be harvested for other people I was ready to become an assasin myself to kick those bitches asses BECAUSE WHAT THE FUCK. I was too gay for Nana; she's a beauty & became a new favourite actress. It's funny how I kept expecting that prosecutor to be evil simply because he was evil in age of youth & I couldn't disconnect him that from that role. I'm happy how Grey ended up with Seul Gi. The plot, acting, production, OST & cinematography were superb. It's definitely one of Korea's best mysteries & it's severely underrated which is a crime itself. The assassin Pavel was a better human being than soo Hyun's actual dad. Still crying about Soo Hyun & how he deserved the whole fucking world

29. The Great Seducer
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
I'm crying like a baby about tempted, which I wasn't expecting but damn it is making me emo. Nobody but me is more surprised about how much I love this and how emotional it is making me. I never expected to love this drama as much as I ended up loving it. It's truly the plot twist of the century.
Also joy's character keeps receiving soo much hate and shit while I'm over here like.....?????
It is also funny how I initially loooved moon ga-young's character su-ji & how I thought se-ju needed all the protection in the world and my heart ached for. I didn't much care about joy's character aka eun tae-hui's boyfriend/love interest si-hyeon that much and now the roles are reversed. I'm now really disliking su-ji atm, I still like eun tae-hui (aka joy), se-ju is still a puppy and the best boy ever but he's kinda shitty to si-hyeon. But the most surprising thing ever happened, suddenly I'm on the si-hyeon protection squad, like every time I'm crying, I'm crying for him my poor baby. And like that's a lot.
I also initially thought that their friendship was amazing and I loved how they were the three musketeers, but omg the friendship between these three is truly becoming toxic. -
30. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
DO YOU LIKE MESSI? Is still one of the most iconic lines ever.
The short haired friend of Bok-Joo is the CUTEST, I'm always so gay for her.
Oef I still want to die because of the fashion taste except for Nam Joo Hyuk. The outfits of his character are cool.
To say it in Dutch because there's no English equivalent of it but Nam Joo Hyuk heeft echt zo'n blij ei smile hierin.
All of them running away from that bar fight was hilarious.
That moment where I realise I have the same haircut as Bok-Joo.
OMG Nam Joo Hyuk's best friend is that asshole from age of youth.
I truly do not like the ex.
Bok-Joo is so weird and awkward I'm truly getting secondhand embarrassment from her.
My mum is watching this show like O.o
OMG LOL THAT RED BOW PIN IN HER HAIR IS BOTH CUTE IN THE WAY OF FEMININE AND CUTE IN THE WAY OF FETUS. -
31. Am I The Only One With Butterflies?
Korean Special - 2018, 3 episodes
In my opinion, this drama was overall too short to gain any real substance. Not only were the episodes too short there weren't nearly enough of them to fully flesh out this story. To be honest not enough happened and there wasn't much of a story here. I did think that all the actresses were great and I don't have any complaints about their acting. Also, unlike almost everyone else I didn't really feel their chemistry. Everything was just quite tame and underdeveloped for my tastes. It's also one of the very few webdramas that feels underdveloped and just too short, which I have never thought before about a webdrama. There were some cute moments, but the majority of it was really random like the car window sequence or the handcream. Those scenes were quite cringe worthy and gave me secondhand embarrassment. I'm willing to give the second season a go since it is once again really short, and hopefully this webdrama will improve a lot (both quality, quantity, and story wise).
-
32. Am I the Only One with Butterflies? Season 2
Korean Special - 2019, 4 episodes
The overall quality and just the production alone improved massively since the first season. I'm honestly so baffled at how much this Webdrana managed to improve on. I'm truly shooketh. The editing, gay panic of our protagonist, her accidently calling her crush/manager was cute. OMG THEY DID THAT SHELF THING SDHJJGDEERR LOVE THIS. I'm already so gay for that other manager with short hair. I also liked how her coworker got more screen time since she actually quite cute. Now I also get the chemistry people were talking about before. Lol, apparently nobody likes the short haired manager. Also, that other manager, not the love interest or the short haired one, has such beautiful hair too. I guess I might be gay for her as well. I love how the Belgian candy is still a thing. I'm glad I gave the second season a go despite the rocky start. It truly improved a lot and some of the issues I had with the first season weren't present here, which made me like this season a lot more than its predecessor. It's surreal how much it improved and in the end I quite liked it. I'm kind of sad that there isn't a third season and I'm quite afraid that there won't be another one since it has almost been two years since season's two release. I'm kind of sad about it since in the end it was really cute, fun, easy, and quick to watch.

33. Want More 19
Korean Drama - 2018, 7 episodes
That Day6 OST was just everything. I completely forgot that they were a major part of this webdrama's OST so when I heard Chocolate for the first time I was like: ...... wait a minute ..... THIS IS DAY6 ASFGURSWDGG. Tae Hee was such a cutie and I knew I had seen him in a drama where I really liked him too (and that kdrama happened to be no other than Run On where he was such a precious baby). I also loved Tae Hee's outfit and I thought that he was he really cute with his girlfriend. I also had severe second lead syndrome for gyeom and I was rooting for this precious baby. I'm really happy that the actor got a lead role in a 2021 upcoming kdrama so I can't wait to see him shine again since he really stole the show in this kdrama. I didn't really care that much for the actual FL (Yoona) & ML (Eun Gu) though. One day I would also like to see a kdrama where the friend actually wins the girl instead of the new guy (more than friends I'm counting on you for this). However, I do think that ending was a bit random and there wasn't much of a story to be told here since not a lot happenedIt was cute when I watched it and everyone's acting was adorable too but I have to say it's one of playlist's weakest dramas so far. It's not a bad webdrama but it's also not one of the greatest. It's a cute bit forgettable watch. The OST, however, is still a bop though.

34. Lovestruck in the City
Korean Drama - 2020, 17 episodes
I have to say that ji chang-wook's character comes off too strong and is a bit much at showing his affection towards her in like such a short time period they've known each other, but honestly he's really cute. Also, somehow the laugh of choi tae-joon's character in Suspicious Partner has become the laugh of jae won.
That bromance moment at the bus stop was too cute.
Woaw every story is connected in ways I didn't expect. OMG THEY'RE PLAYING THAT GAME I USED TO PLAY AS A KID, THAT 5 CARD GAME. SHOOK. That was such an unexpected throwback.
Lol, jae won frequenting that one precinct to cry about the camera thief that stole both his heart and his cameras. I died laughing and the same thing with sun young fighting with her then boyfriend because they need to strip since she bought all of their clothing and since she's breaking up with them she needs it back. I honestly can't, this is too funny. Also, my heart really aches for jae won. My poor bby. My heart truly aches for him because he loved her so freaking much. I'm really crying for him since she continuously stepped on his heart. I'm really beginning to hate that girl and I honestly don't want him to end up with her because she's truly a Bitch. I wanted this to be a happy show, I was expecting this to be a happy show, but instead I'm sobbing like a baby because my heart aches so much for jae won. The girl is really toying with his feelings, giving mixed signals and all. I really hate her. I REALLY WANT TO SLAP HER.
Omg the two exes are really really hilarious.
Jae won's nephew is me and I will be really curious how he will react when he finds out that his friend broke his hyung's heart.Link to my review that's full of fleshed out thoughts and reactions (and more screaming)

35. Must You Go ?
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
This webdrama was such a cutesy story and somehow I've become both a Rowoon and a Chani stanner without ever having listened to SF9. Also, Chani is such a fetus being born in 2000 lol (I'm only 2 years older but people from the year 2000 don't seem like actual adults somehow even though they are). I'm just such a sucker for dramas where either a person from the past travels to the future or vice versa so honestly this drama could do no wrong. I really liked the protagonists and I thought their love story was cute as hell. I, however, wasn't a fan of it being a love quartet since not only did the FL have 2 guys who liked her, the ML also had 2 girls who liked him as well. I honestly wasn't a fan of that. I also really liked the OST from this and that one song is now STUCK in my head because apparently that was the only song these characters knew :") It is a bop though. I also wished we focused more on the shaman because she was pretty cool despite her whole love sick act. However, my main complaint is that the whole time traveling aspect and why the love between the ML & FL was something faith was against? Because in the end they weren't??? I'm kind of confused about that. Overall cute, fun, and entertaining while it lasted but it won't be a kdrama I'll think about very often. It's a fairly decent, good kdrama that I did enjoy watching when I was going along the ride.

36. Tu me fais danser
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
This was such a sweet, cute, and simple BL drama that really warmed my heart. The story is quite simple but done so well in this limited time space. Unlike other people I don't think that this drama was too fast paced or didn't explore the characters at all. My opinion is the total opposite of those people since for once I felt like that almost every question was answered and it didn't have an open ending or rushed ending, which is very, well pretty, unlike most BL kdramas. I personally think you make me dance was better than to my star and I seem to be in the minority here. I actually felt the chemistry between these two actors and I thought their relationship made sense. I simply really liked this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides, their kisses were really hot and I liked how the shirtless scenes didn't focus on them being shirtless (as in look at dem abs) but it was rather about their emotions and vulnerability since it focused on the actors eyes instead of dem abs. But lol if the dancer is truly a 20/21 year-old then I'm a fricking baby because in no way did he pass for a 21-year-old student. Still really fun and cutesy.
Whahaha, I'm apparently a baby since HE IS APPARENTLY EVEN YOUNGER THAN ME BECAUSE HE'S 21 WHILE I'M 22. Holy macaroni O.O I initially also didn't recognise creditor baby as that cutie from the webdrama mute.
-
37. Navillera
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Omg I think I'm watching a 10/10 kdrama again because I'm only at ep 4 & I've cried already twice. The story is also freaking beautiful since it's about a young ballet dancer struggling with his life since bby has had no luck so far & about a grandpa who after losing a friend realises it's time to follow his dream ballet. The ballet teacher mr ki was like hehe I think that old man might be good for you so he forced kiddo to teach grandpa about ballet. Initially baby was so against it but now they're healing & following their dreams together. It's really beautiful, wholesome, breaking my heart because it is that good. My heart truly aches for all the characters. Also can we laugh at how dumb I was sinfe initially I was like oeh I ship song kang's character with granddaughter eun ho (even though they had no scenes together then). Thus when I didn't recognise eun ho as that intern I was like ew no granddaughter is better & I don't like this budding relationship. Only way too late did I found out that both intern & granddaughter were the same person. Gosh I can be really dumb at times lol. They said watching a kdrama would be fun ... I'M NOT HAVING FUN I'M CRYING WHOLE DAMN RIVERS! Truly these tears can end the drought in Africa because I'm crying that much. This is truly a trip down to cry a whole fucking river & emo/sad land. My family is so sick of me since I keep raving, gushing & crying about this drama and they be like ... O.o HELLO IS THIS 112/911? CAUSE THIS GIRL NEEDS HELP! Nothing but love & tears for this hauntingly beautiful, sad & wholesome kdrama. It's a crime against humanity how underrated this drama is. tvN struck again since their dramas always make me suffer which I'm funnily enough not that mad about. Song kang is officially one of my favorite actors & every role he does is so different from the previous one but he nails them every single time.

38. Contract Love From Today
Korean Drama - 2021, 15 episodes
I've honestly forgotten quite a bit about this kdrama, which is kind of shameful since it hasn't been that long since I finished/watched it. I blame it for not writing my thoughts down any sooner but anyways I did really enjoy this when I watched it. It was lowkey, actually not so lowkey, cute and the ML was just adorable. In the beginning, I truly didn't like Jina and I wished that Hanna was the actual protagonist but then Hanna went full on jealous bitch and spewing nonsense, which made me dislike her. I could understand her being jealous of Jina and that it was sometimes difficult to be actual friends with her since you always lived in her shadow but guuuurl that doesn't mean your entitled to have everything she does. I was happy that Jina ended their friendship and honestly their bubbly rich friend deserved better than both of them. She truly deserves sone great friends. Thankfully she had the cutest relationship with the ML's best friend who was my favourite. I loved how over the top, overly excited and bubbly he was. I dunno but somehow he just worked for me and I thought his friendship with both the ML and everyone else was adorbs. It's actually funny how I shipped Hanna with ML in the beginning, while I shipped Jina with nobody. In the end Jina's ex and Hanna should have been a thing since I liked how to co-conspired with each other and the actress who played hanna had fucking chemistry with everyone. Also the ex was pretty hot and I liked how he grew as a person. He's definitely a nice dude. In the end I did ship Jina with the ML and the actress who played her is really gorgeous. I also didn't know this was a spin-off of the best mistake, which I've now added to my endlessly long to watch list since I just adore this concept. I'm simply a hoe for fake dating, contractual relationships. They somehow can't do no wrong in my book and be my boyfriend was no exception. Thoroughly enjoyed this cute, fun, little drama.

39. Ryu Sun Bi's Wedding Ceremony
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
This truly delivered on its ridiculous premise since this is pure crack head energy. It's really funny & so darn entertaining to watch. I'm really having a great time with this webdrama. Besides I loved seeing the familiar faces again. I do have to say that this kdrama really started off super randomly. It felt like we truly got inserted into this story halfway through it. I definitely think it would have been better if they actually showed the whole wedding, the sister running away & the brother taking her place rather than telling us that happened. For a few moments I really thought I wasn't watching episode one at all but the second one, even though it truly was episode 1. I sincerely don't understand the bashful reviews or saying wait was this a boy love drama after all? I'm like how?? The ML was constantly having a gay panic while the other one was like hehe let me flirt with him. To me it was evidently clear that they had a romantic interest in each other from the moment they meet & it wasn't subtle at all. That mother was also one frigging mood & it was absolutely hilarious how she heated up their bedroom in order to make things even more hot in there *wink wink* I thought that was really funny & cheeky. Can we also acknowledge how Choi is a hotter woman than I myself and he isn't even a real woman lol. His reactions to that hyungnim's sudden kove confession was me. It truly came out of nowhere & I don't know if it was supposed to be funny or not but I died. Also the husband being more worried about him being his wife than hyungnim possibly finding out he isn't a woman. This kdrama is truly like my last two brain cells, it's so ridiculous but I thoroughly enjoyed it. This could have been even insanely good if it was an actual full-length kdrama. I'm baffled by how good the production, sets & costumes are. Gay crackhead culture at its best since it's the first iconic historical BL with a happy ending.

40. The Sweet Blood
Korean Drama - 2021, 15 episodes
Someone described the sweet blood as Korea's twilight and I honestly can't unsee that anymore. That person could have easily said it was Korea's vampire diaries but it's honestly funnier to day its twilight. This was truly like a bad soap opera. The fighting scenes weren't that great too. Also, the female lead is one of the most boring people out there. She almost makes a run for Bella's money but she's not quite that bad yet. There's also such a huuuuuge mistake in this webdrama since the FL is supposed to be 115 years old but it truly looked like her mother was from the 21st century. That would have been okay if her mother was a vampire and not human so this is just one big mistake. And like it truly was too freaking ridiculous how everyone's love life was interwoven with one another. Not only did the FL have three potential boyfriends, her best friend was also interested in 2 of them (lol, girl loves the supernatural since she only wasn't interested in the human boy). I'm kind of sad snack oppa werewolfie was the real villain but I honestly didn't care enough to be that upset. Not enough fucks were given for that. I initially enjoyed this drama more than I did towards the end, either because this already killed all my brain cells or the beginning was simply better. I did enjoy this cringe fest of a webdrama but I'm not sure I would recommend this to anyone else. The blood wine concept was cool and I also really liked the visuals (as in the animations, intro & outro) but I'm still hella confused about those white kitties that are everywhere in this drama. I'm like .... ?????? However, it also bothered the hell out of me how both the Korean title and the English one weren't separate. IT TRULY BOTHERED ME HOW THEY JUST DIDN'T PUT THE SWEET BLOOD TITLE A LITTLE HIGHER. -
41. Writing Your Fate
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Whahahaha the award for cheekiest drama goes to Scripting Your Destiny. This was such a fun ride that even made me quite emotional at times. I'm also not sure if I should applause for that ending or rage. tvN frigging did it again, truly every drama of theirs ends up being something I love. I really liked our FL. I not only thought she was fucking hilarious, one bigass mood, but also not your really typical average female lead. She's kind of a successful adult disaster and I'm all for those kinds of characters. The plot was also sooooo good. I just really really liked it and even cried twice, which is always a good thing in my book. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a second season, which is also rare. Both the amount of episodes and their length were just perfect too. Scripting Your Destiny is a criminally underrated kdrama that deserves more watches, love, and hype.
Also not only is that third male lead (aka the other god of destiny) was not only a hottie but I really liked his acting so I've definitely added all of his dramas to my list now.

42. Summer Guys
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
This is really funny, I literally laughed out loud so many times that I can't even count them anymore. It's also funny to see how much Vinni has grown the past 5 years. It's cute how he got more baby fat as he's gotten older and that actually looks good on him too. I really liked and shipped the main couple. I thought they were the cutest. Seon woo chan at times really reminded me of hobi somehow. This drama also radiates summer and summer vibes just like Lovestruck in the city did and I absolutely love that. This really makes me crave summer. I'm apparently also a sucker for stories set in a bar even though I don't drink myself. They became a found family and I'm just too soft for this shit. However, I didn't like how all the guys were interested in Oh Jin Dal Rae, that was a bit too much. Whahaha Vinni's character has met his equivalent and it was too funny and cute. I also was like that mysterious woman is chan oppa's mother and of course I was right, lol. My main complaint is that the editing was at times really weird and jarring. I sincerely think they could have improved on that. In the end, this was a fun, funny, healing, and heartwarming drama too watch & I once again wouldn't be opposed to a second season of this.

43. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I WAS FUCKING JOKING ABOUT THE DAD DYING AND THEN IT HAPPENED. Fucking move to heaven. I was like it's gonna be this sad depressive drama where the ml dad dies and then it happened. I'm like ..... I WAS SARCASTIC! Now me is crying. I'm not ready for another tear fest.
If Loyde, my friend who never binge watches kdramas, is already at episode 5 then it really must be good. I'm almost done with 3 and it's sooo good.
Also, that neighbour best friend is too hilarious, right away imagining uncle is up to fifty shade BDSM kink stuff while it's the opposite. She truly should be a fanfic writer with that naughty naughty mind. She naughty naughty.
It's surprisingly funny and sad in a beautiful way at the same time. I truly get why the actor who plays the uncle is like this is my favourite drama I've ever done.
THAT DAD OF THE BEST FRIEND IS SUCH A MOOD!
I love how they're atm the most unlikely three musketeers.
Noooo that's too sad that samchon has a traumatic past too.
The story about the kindergarten teacher is breaking my heart.
OMG CUTE BBY CALLING OUT THE MURDERER MADE ME EMO, PROUD AND I WAS LIKE SAY IT LOUDER! It was such a power move from him. -
44. À cause de toi 2020
Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
I thought it was pretty funny how all of the three sons were queer and part of the LGBTQ+ community. I also truly liked how this show didn't make it a big deal and truly was about BI RIGHTS. I really like how they not only alluded to one character being bi but also that one himself even said the words I'm bi. Finally a show that dares to say that. Because of you had some cute moments, but it also made me quite uncomfortable. For instance, that older sister does not know what consent means since she not only sexually assaulted someone by trying to forcefully coerce that person into having sex with her while he said no, but also harassed her brother's best friend who is not only a high schooler but who was also naked in her shower and stated that her interactions made him uncomfortable. I don't like how they played it off as the first occasion she was drunk and just sobered up before she even went further while & how the person she made uncomfortable apologise. There were just too many red flags surrounding that girl. However, that wasn't the only element that made me uncomfortable since the romantic pairings included a lot of possessiveness and some other stuff that truly falls into a gray area of unhealthy/healthy relationship behaviour. The upcoming relationship between the youngest brother and his best friend was the most healthy and they were really communicative and not possessive of each other, unlike the other brothers. I also think it's really funny how the whole plot of why the Korean brother came to Taiwan was ignored after the first episode, lol. Besides, this was my first non-Korean BL drama and I gotta say so far I prefer the Korean ones.
Ps. The theme song is one hell of a bop. -
45. My Fuxxxxx Romance
Korean Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
Damn... everyone was so toxic and quite fucked up in this drama. I think hyun was definitely the nicest and least problematic character. I'm quite happy that she both dumped her best friend and significant other because let's be real both were kind of trash. That other friend was also slightly creepy and making me uncomfortable. He did and said some iffy things too.
This is really not how you should be in love with your best friend. It's not only unhealthy as fuck, creepy, stalkerish, but also unrespectful towards the person you like.
I have no idea if I actually really liked this drama, I don't think so. I think I was more fascinated by where it was going than I was enjoying the process. I overall feel really meh about my fuxxxxx romance, whose title surely has to many x's in it. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY X'S IN THE TITLE? IT MAKES NO SENSE. TWO X'S WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE SINCE THAT'S THE ALTERNATIVE WAY OF WRITING FUCK BUT 5??? THAT'S SIMPLY TOO MUCH!
Someone on YouTube described this as: Jae-ha cannot date one person, is "polyamorous" (I would say that is true but also emotionally unavailable). Ji-young likes Hyun, wants to have Hyun, uses her lipbalm and has sex with Jea-ha so she could at least feel like she somehow interacts with Hyun. Hyun originally wanted FWB (friends with benefits), no romantic relationship, but ends up falling for Jae-ha and only wants to date him. Min-hyuk neither one of these and doesn't understand these three, he just thinks the situation is interesting aka a hoe for drama. And I have to say that's pretty darn accurate. -
46. Late Night Cafe
Korean Special - 2020, 1 episode
After waiting a hundred years for this to become available anywhere, and it suddenly (& finally) got released on Viki. I, of course, had to watch this right away, which I did and I have to say this didn't disappoint at all. It was such a fascinating and short story to watch even thothough it was a bit confusing at times. I still don't know what that ending meant but hopefully I will find it in the second season. If not then I will be a teeny tiny bit disappointed but it will in no way affect my enjoyment of this show, which I really really liked. This was overall really entertaining and nice to watch. I honestly can't wait to continue on with this companion series. I totally did not watch the sequels in one night too. *I totally did* I quite like how every season will be set at the same cafe with the owner but will follow a new, different story every season. I think that's quite unique and I really liked the different time lines that were possible in the cage. Also, apparently that love story between the teo war people was also a movie somehow? Call me confused now. Haha, despite some focusing elements I still really liked it. I'm also such a sucker for stories set at a cafe or bar. Lastly, I liked how much the main character grew in these two short little episodes. I'm quite surprised and amazed at how much character development they were able to put in such a short time period.

47. Hip Up Hit Up
Korean Special - 2021, 1 episode
This was once again really cute and it feels like we're slowly getting more answers about the cafe and its master. I sincerely looooved how the best friend had tattoos and was a tattoo artist. Cafe midnight truly being like let's end the negative connotations of tattoos and show how cool they in fact are. I really liked how that was a plotline of this season since tattoos are still quite taboo in Korea. Appplauding the creators for this. Also, is it becoming a thing that two lovers have to miss each other? Since that was not only a thing in the first one but also here. I also liked how this time people at the cafe where people the FL knew but this time they were liie younger versions of them. I thought that was quite cool. I also liked the OST of this season more than the first one, but I still think that season one is so far my favourite. This was still entertaining to watch though.

48. How to Hate You
Korean Drama - 2019, 6 episodes
ASHJHDSDGHFSS THIS WAS SO DARN CUTE! I REALLY LIKED THIS. This was just one big mush of adorableness. Both the FL and ML were such cute adorable awkward puppies AND FINALLY A GEEKY LEADING MAN THAT UNDERSTANDS US NERDS. I thought it was too funny that Jaemin's character missed classes because he was waiting first in line for a figurine and game release. If that's not the most relatable thing ever, then you really need to change your life's priorities.
I basically watched this kdrama since one of my dearest friends watched this and since she only watches a few kdramas a year, I knew I had to watch it. She's also such a NCT stanner. Even though I don't love NCT I gotta admit Jaemin is one hell of a cutie and I quite liked his acting. I kind of want to see him in more dramas and I wouldn't be opposed to him being a leading man in a full-length 16 episode drama. Kpop/Kdrama gods please make this happen.
I, however, did NOT like how the screen faded to black when they were about to kiss. I was NOT happy about that and quite frankly disappointed since the actors had great chemistry and the scene had such a built up.
This was overall really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I definitely needed this easy-going cuteness in my life right now. -
49. Cut to Heart
Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes
On Dal is truly one of the purest, fluffiest, sweetest, cutest, funniest, awkward, most adorable male leads ever. I truly fell in love with this character. He's truly the softest General out there. Nothing but love for this man.
I was like I'm getting this nasty feeling that cutesy San is gonna die before he can make up with his sister and then he did and I was like BITCH WHAT THE FUCK!!!! I'm quite sad that San died, I really liked him.
OMG OMG OMG THAT CONCUBINE IS EVERYTHING. She is truly the most pure, sweetest person out there. I think she hss become my favourite character (yes I even love her more than Dal, Wol, and Jin who are some of my faves and babes too). I truly want to marry that concubine, SHE IS JUST SO DARN PRECIOUS! Nothing but love for this lady. She truly stole the show and is one of River Where The Moon Rises most underrated characters.
I also love the my ship came true. I was like omggg Go Geon and Mo Young would work so well together, like my two scheming babies and when they officially became a thing I died.
I however DO NOT LIKE how Jin and Poong Gae had the slowest of slow slowburn romance. I wish they became an official thing way sooner since by the end of episode 17 THEY'RE STILL NOT FUCKING TOGETHER WHILE EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER KNOWS THEY LIKE EACH OTHER!Link to the rest of my thoughts, feelings, and screaming matches

50. The Curious Stalker
Korean Special - 2021, 1 episode
I'm watching cafe midnight 3 since Viki finally uploaded it and OMG Doyoung looks like such a fetus while he is actually older than me. Besides, he has such a soft voice as well and his singing voice is also so nice. However that mother is slightly annoying.
Omg there is an overlap with the second season. There is a scene with the main character from season two when they're in the bus. It's funny because it was also in season 2 that scene with Doyoung but I didn't recognise it was him, lol. Woaw another character cameo from season 2
Also why do I have a feeling that the random hello dude is actually Doyoung's dad. Lol, it is his dad.
Is it just me or was that girls dancing hella awkward.
I wish we got to see more of his I can see the future powers than we actually got since that was really fascinating.
WAIT IS THAT BUSDRIVER HIS DAD???
I love how intertwined season three and two are. WOW ONE OF THE GIRLS FROM SEASON 2 IS DOYOUNG'S MOTHER. Call me shooketh now.
Oh it's not his dad but his mother's first love, which is actually cuter. It's also cute how the mother recognised her first love again.
This is/was honestly too cute but we still haven't gotten an answer about how the cafe works and what's the master's deal. I'm really hoping there will be a fourth season/instalment. -
51. When the Camellia Blooms
Korean Drama - 2019, 40 episodes
If I have to date a man, I want my man to be like Yong-Sik. If he ain't like Yong-Sik then I don't want him.
I also think the character of Pil-Gu is soo refreshing. He's like a kid that takes seriously no bullshit from ANYONE. He's like super rude (if he doesn't like you, hurt his mother, or are into his mother) without actually being an annoying little shit or a brat. His whole character arc and personality is so refreshing since you don't really see kids like him in Korean or any other Asian drama.
Can I please have those neighbourhood ladies as my neighbours too? Truly the actress who played the mum of pil-gu's best friend always does these kinds of roles the best. I love her and I'm glad how I discovered her through CLOY.
DONGBEAK IS ONE BADASS BITCH, LOVE HER. She ended the joker so amazingly. I was really shook that it in the end was hardware store dude. I did not expect that. Also, I'm forever sad about hyung mi dying. I loved her so much.
Can anyone pls explain to me WHY KDRAMAS KEEP DOING THE MANY YEARS LATER PART? It almost ALWAYS ruins a drama! Okay, they initially made it out be something stupid but it was actually cute in the end. So I screamed way tooo soon because the many years later in this case was adorable.
My 100th drama was so good!! I celebrated/accomplished it with a bang since this was such a gem♡ Nothing but love for this and I cried a few times too. Also, I want a Yong-Sik now. I won't accept anyone who isn't him (just kidding, but seriously that is one golden man). Kamg Ha Neul you've become an instant fave of mine now. -
52. Strangers from Hell
Korean Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
Let me tell you that lee dong wook as a psychopath is HOT af. I'm gonna say it again but LDW as a psychopath dentist serial killer is hot. This show is so weird though. HE EATING MEAT FROM HIS FELLOW BUT DEAD RESIDENT BUT HE DON'T KNOW & I'm like *insert puking emojis* Lee Dong Wook has the creepiest smile in here. I'm like his duality blows my mind. I've seen like 3 of the mc in a different drama & besides the old lady (who was also in when the camellia blooms) I'm like THE DUALITY OF THESE 2 ACTORS. One was the cute awkward puppy that was really loveable but a bit odd in run on & then we have Lee freaking dong wook. Wookie as a Psychopath is the most disturbing thing ever since he plays it so well. It's also fucking disturbing how hot he still is while playing a psycho. I'm still not sure how I feel about it though. It's not bad but atm it is not the masterpiece of a horror show that people promised me. It's fascinating but not fascinating enough. I do like how fucked up everyone is. I'm kinda sad that Seok-yoon died because he was really sweet. LDW with wet hair can call me babe anytime. Kidding but seriously he can't do no wrong. This drama initially started off really slow & I didn't really get why everyone called it a masterpiece but by the end I knew why. My mind is fucking blown. I love how dark this is & that it truly went there. My baby psychopath LDW really managed to create his art work & slowly brought out the dark side of the mc. I loved how he turned out to be fucked up as well. I can't help but love how the main character became a fucking psychopath too. There's something really fascinating, well-rouded & fitting with him becoming a murderer too. It's fucking dark & feels like we've come to a full circle. The teeth bracelet is disturbing as fuck but kinda pretty too. Just really good. SK thrillers/horrors are truly something else.

53. Même pas la peine
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
This was obviously a spoof on American sitcoms for many obvious reasons as it being a sitcom, laughter track, actors and characters with the same name and much more. I thought they did that pretty well and fitted with the overall tone and atmosphere of the drama. Besides, I fucking loved how diverse this kdrama was both in nationalities, ethnicities, and sexualities. I have to say that Hyun Min and Carson stole the show for me. And yes I was obviously also gay for Carson. I also liked how they addressed the cheating foreigners experience while dating in Korea. I also expected to like Minnie as a character a lot more than I actually did. I thought I would love her since we both have a huge love for Korean dramas but her actions ended up being either cringe worthy or low key offensive. I truly didn't like her interactions with the soldier who had the same name as the ML of Descendants of the sun. Besides, Sam deserved better (both in screen time and as a better love interest). I thought they would have been cute because of the trailer but in the end I wasn't feeling it at all. I also didn't despise the actors acting, I thought they did a fairly good job. I honestly loved everyone (even Jamie, Se Wan, Hans, and Terris the bae). The characters were what made this show for me.

54. Law School
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Kang Sol A is truly the most relatable character and student ever even though when I did actually study law I was more like joon hwi since despite doing the bare minimum I was still at the top of my class. Also, legal dramas like these do NOT make me miss those days. Lol, glad I traded law in for English.
KANG SOL A IS A BABE! LOVE HER TO DEATH. I also ship the hell out of her and joon hwi. I'm so happy Kim Beom oppa is back in dramaland.
Also, I really really really want to give that professor a hair cut.
I don't know how this happened but apparently a murder mystery drama is the comfort, easy to watch drama that I so desperately needed.
I am still disappointed though that cute previous doctor oppa is a fraud. This is why we can't have nice things and why prefer curly headband oppa & joon hwi over them. Also, the gollum is the funniest side character. Besides, somehow I made this month into that ahjumma's month since I've not only seen when the camellia blooms, strangers from hell, but now also law school AND SHE WAS IN ALL OF THEM. I won't be suprised if this ahjumma ends up as my most watched actress of 2021.
I really enjoyed this and I'm happy that I watched it the moment it came out and didn't postpone watching it. It simply was that fun to watch. -
55. A Goal Has Come
Korean Drama - 2021, 4 episodes
Here's my plan truly went into directions I wasn't expecting at all. It was quite a wild ride from the moment it began until its ending. The ending was surprisingly also really healing and the amount of mental health rep this mini kdrama contained was surreal. The title is also really fitting. It was a nice, easy watch and definitely something that's great to watch in between some long dramas. I do have to say that it isn't the best mini kdrama I've ever watched but it was a nice one nonetheless. I don't really have huge opinions or feelings for this drama besides me liking it & that it's a great inbetween drama.
Ps. The young male lead was such a cutie.
-
56. No Time For Love
Korean Drama - 2018, 8 episodes
No time to love was honestly one of the cutest and most fun webdramas to watch. I truly think this is underrated and deserves both more love and how. Also, our male lead (our should we call him second male lead because he shows up later than the other guy, but he does get the girl) was the cutest. I've seen him in Scripting Your Destiny and loved him in it, which is also the sole reason why I started watching this in the first place and I'm really glad I did since this was really good. Besides, the female lead was also adorable and I really liked the side characters too. I definitely was hella gay for the best friend of the dude who got the girl. The relationship between him and the FL was also just super adorable and healthy. Everyone also acted pretty well so there's honestly no reason not to watch it.

57. Because This is My First Life
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
By the end, I kind of hated because this is my first life and I honestly wouldn't recommend it. I don't know how it's quite beloved since I didn't found this groundbreaking, good, or that amazing at all. It sort of did nothing for me. Haha, I dunno how to describe my feelings about that drama. I rate both based on enjoyment and like how good something actually is (story, acting wise etcetera) and there definitely wasn't anything wrong with the acting. Besides, in the beginning I really enjoyed Because This Is My First Life. Plus there were elements that I fucking loved, only the writers fucking ruined it again. Funnily enough the writer has never written anything after this and I'm like GOOOOOD. I did love the director though, since he has directed many of my beloved dramas.
-
58. A Week Delay of Farewell
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I have to agree with most of the comments that I really had to get used to (& adjust) to the female lead's acting, which is kind of surprising since I really liked her and her acting in Gogh the starry night. I do think that her acting was a lot better in the later episodes. Also, you don't know how happy I was when I realised that the male lead was my law school oppa. I really liked him in law school and I wanted to see more of him in upcoming dramas AND BOOOM here he was, in snother drama. I think he portrayed his role once again wonderfully and damn what a boyfriend his character was. I also thought that the whole concept of this kdrama was really unique and fascinating with a really great execution as well. Besides, I really liked how their relationship grew and how they were able to overcome their problems. Well how the girl was able to overcome her own insecurities since the male lead was a lot of the time very sincere, dedicated to her and their relationship, which the girl almost always interpreted wrongfully. It was also nice to see a long term relationship to actually work out and have a happy ending.

59. Mad for Each Other
Korean Drama - 2021, 13 episodes
THIS DRAMA IS SEVERELY UNDERRATED AND UNDERAPPRECIATED WHICH IS HUMANITY'S WORST CRIME. This was honestly so good, like so so good. It made me laugh, cry, feel seen, and was overall such a healing experience. THIS IS HOW YOU DO GREAT MENTAL HEALTH REPRESENTATION! I was honestly so shook that they showed multiple scenes with the full therapist since mental ilness is so very much a taboo topic in SK. I mean even western medias don't handle mental health representation as well as this kdrama. This drama overall really taljed about and handled societal issues and taboos very well. I really liked the dramas conversation about drag and how some of the older characters learned how their biases/prejudices could harm people and learned from it. After raising their mistake the three ahjummas were ready to apologise and kick anyone's ass who would hurt our FL or precious Samantha. I personally like the English title more than the original, which took me a while but I like the wordplay on mad. The mad in mad for each other conveys their "madness" as in crazy, or mad as in angry while simultaneously also hunting at how the characters are mad for each other as in they like one another.
-
60. A Korean Odyssey
Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes
I was really loving this but by episode 8 or so I started to notice the dramas flaw.
Honestly I just ship the heck out of PK and our cutest zombie girl. Their interactions sincerely added 50 years to my life. They are just so darn cute.
I also have to admit that while at first I thought the Devil King's tantrums were funny, they kind of have become really repetitive. I mean c'mon can't you think of something better to do with this epic character?
Somehow this kdrama went from a 9 to a 7, and ultimately a 6.
I was also starting to ship the heck out of Son O-Gong and Seon Mi but honestly that bracelet is stopping me from fully shipping them. In all honesty, if Seon Mi really loved him she would have removed the bracelet by now since it's only hurting the person she loves. But does she remove it? NO! And there's honestly no reason for her to keep it on Son O-Gong. Like if you want to be in a healthy relationship you need to remove that bracelet and you need to trust him. I get that she still needs him but he probably would still help her because he obviously loves her too and he still has the deal with her which they made years ago. I'm really getting annoyed, well I'm actually fucking pissed off, that the bracelet is still there. For fuck's sake it is currently hurting him even more as in he literally threw up blood because of that fucking bracelet but she still didn't take it off him. I mean how is all of this healthy and how can this ever result in a supportive, trusthwortgy, healthy and swoon worthy relationship if she never takes the braces off him? I really REALLY fucking hate this. I DON'T GET IT, I DON'T UNDERSTAND. SERIOUSLY TELL ME WHY
Also, this didn't really need to have 20 episodes of seventy minutes long. -
61. We Best Love : Le premier pour toujours
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
This made me cry, laugh, and just incredibly happy overall. This is the kind of queer content we deserve! I honestly stand by this show and I get why it's so beloved, well-received, and popular because it is truly that good. Our two leads are also handsome as fuck. It's truly surreal how pretty both of them were, but I have to admit that I was drooling over YU the most.
It's also funny how Taiwanese dramas is the region I watch the most after Korean, which obviously wins by miles and miles. Besides, I definitely need to hype this up to my queer friend who loves Asian dramas too. I'm just sfoudsdgjj speechless and still in awe of this show. I SIMPLY LOVED IT SO FUCKING MUCH! #imgonnaimmediatelywatchthesecondseason -
62. We Best Love: Spin-off
Taiwanese Special - 2021, 1 episode
Asgjjfsdfhjfdd my heart. Now I truly need to see the second season as soon as possible. Also, EVERYONE who is planning on watching the second needs to watch this episode since it's truly the starting point of the second season. If you do not watch this short little episode, it is guaranteed that you'll be confused. I'm honestly not sure why they didn't make this an official part of the show since it's like super crucial in understanding the overall plot of this drama and there will always be people that don't watch special episodes like these. Also, my babies are dramatic as fuck and I'm just so fucking glad that the reason for their breakup wasn't a homophobic parent, which was the breakup reason I feared for and expected. I'm glad that wasn't the case so I'm not even mad that he didn't even bother with asking an explanation or confirmation.

63. Blue Diamond
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
I honestly wasn't expecting to become such an emotional mess after watching this. I literally cried so much, like so much. This drama somehow tugged at my heart and became a favorite of the year. Also, almost all the outfits were to die for and the house itself was just so beautiful as well. Everything was just breathtaking to look at. Also the romance between the son and the maid was too cute. And don't even get me started on the Sismance. I'm also ashamed to say that I initially really liked that trashcan of a husband and dad but thankfully I did a 180 about him real quickly. The same happened to the nanny. I initially despised her but by the end I was like YASSS QUEEN too. Ughh.... mine was just so good.
-
64. We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Lol, I somehow went from absolutely loving We Best Love to not really liking it anymore. I think that the college setting of season one, which I absolutely loved, and the lack of it in season two does play a part in me liking this story a bit less. However, season two has just soooo many issues, as in so many.
The side story of the cousin and L-like employee was already iffy for me when season one hinted at the cousin liking a high schooler when he worked as a high school doctor, but I was in no way prepared for the shit show that was about to happen. I'm all for mental illness and mental health representations if it's well done & in this season of WBL it was anything but well done. I'm seriously like why....? Dear writer why did you mess up so badly? I probably should have known that WBL would take the route to problematic since the writer also wrote the first three seasons of HIStory, which is like the definition of problematic. For instance, the forced kissing without consent between the main couple was not okay since YU's character said no multiple times, even tried to push him away a couple of times, but nope his love interest just keeps kissing etcetera and somehow YU's character just gives in after all that..... that's not okay nor healthy.
The leads still had amazing chemistry and YU was still the prettiest boy ever, but honestly YU's character deserved better. Like a lot better. I was also too soon in saying yay no homophobic parents since the dad actually turned out to be a homophobe, yay......
Continues in my review due to too many feelings -
65. We Best Love: Fighting Mr.2nd - Special Episode 6.5
Taiwanese Special - 2021, 1 episode
Out of my principles and not really sgipping this couple I can't rate this higher than a 6. However, I have to admit that it was really funny when the doctor saw the student he initially sighed heavily. I'm also still traumatised by the dance sequence. I truly wish I could delete that from my mind. Besides, I truly don't understand this couple and I don't find them even remotely cute or healthy. Nope, still don't understand it.

66. Strongest Deliveryman
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
This was such a comfort watch for me and I thoroughly enjoyed this. I honestly don't understand how people on here didn't like this. The friendships were just out of this world cute and heartwarming & the romance was al so a good slow burn. I really loved Kang-soo, he truly was the heart of this show and if my future man isn't like him (or Yong-Sik) I don't want them. Kim Seon Ho also shined very brightly in this and I can't wait to watch more of him along the way. The same goes for Go Kyung Pyo, I neeed to see him in more stuff. I did shed some tears when Kang Soo got a haircut but soon after that the new haircut also grew on me. I did like Dan-Ah too but it's not Chae Soo-Bin's strongest work. I did love her relationship with Kang Soo though and I liked how playful they were. The same goes for our secondary and third couple, they were cute too. I shipped our secondary couple even before I shipped Dan Ah with Kang Soo. Strongest Deliveryman is also fucking funny. All the side stories were epic or interesting too and I was just so invested in everyone. Just nothing but love for this show!

67. Something Convenience Store
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Whahaha, Dong Hyun bring a fan of himself and holding a poster of his own group was just one bigass mood. In all honesty, I stan AB6IX too so I get my dude.
The school part was relatable as fuck.
I DON'T KNOW WITH WHOM I SHIP OUR FEMALE LEAD. I KIND OF SHIP HER WITH EVERYONE. EACH DUDE IS SO CUTE, ALL OF THEM MAKE MY HEART FLUTTER.
11 o'clock on the weekend is like dawn - THE TRUTH, SHE SPEAKS THE TRUTH. I'VE NEVER FELT SO REPRESENTED BY A CHARACTER.
That cheek kiss though... I never knew kisses on cheeks could be this hot.
Dong Hyun being more into himself & his group than the female lead still cracks me up.
Whahaha puppy saying to the high schoolers you can get cigarettes there but it ended up being the police station is the joke of the century. -
68. Love Refresh
Korean Special - 2021, 3 episodes
Let's just say that this was the cutest ad for toothpaste, mouth wash, and mouth spray I have ever seen. I also that the whole idea/plot for this mini webdrama (or should I say ad) was really cute and well done. I liked how they brought his writing carreer and confessing his love together. Besides, the initial mystery of which friend he actually liked was also cool. In all honesty, it ended up being the friend I least expected to be the crush so I was pleasantly surprised. Love refresh overall brought a huge smile on my face.

69. Make a Wish
Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes
ASGIIFSSFHJDASGJJFD THIS WAS SOOO FUCKING GOOD, LIKE SO FUCKING GOOD. My family ridiculed me for watching this because they thought this was very stupid. They were like oh my god Emma this is even worse than what you normally watch and let me tell you they are 100% wrong. The acting was top notch, the romance had me hooked from the moment, and I simply love stories that are about cats turning into humans and having a relationship with an actual human being. I don't know how this happened but it did. Besides, the actors had aaaamazing chemistry and the whole show was full of heartwarming, cute, romantic, funny, but also sad moments. It was just done really well. I do have to say that the villain at the end was someone that I saw coming from 5000 miles away but that didn't impact my enjoyment. Besodes, the amount of love this show illustrated towards books and cats warmed up my little cold heart. I also liked the side characters and their side stories but nothing was as good or compelling as our leads. I absolutely loved both our male and female leads. Besides, our FL is one stunning woman and her outfits had me drooling on the floor. I really loved her sense of style. IT ALSO HAD PUPPIES! So honestly how couldake a wish be anything but the masterpiece it is.

70. The Tale of Nokdu
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
I have to say that the idea was funnier than the execution itself, even though some scenes are pure gold comedy.
I also gotta say that Kim So Hyun with short hair is pretty as fuck and have you seen Jang Dong Yoon's abs? Cause damn.....
Besides, Kang Tae Oh as a villain is just super hot, like really really hot. Apparently he can nail both sunshine uwu babies and obsessive psychopaths. His duality is just surreal. I'm in awe of it and just rooting for this precious baby.
I also love how they portrayed Kisaengs in this historical drama and the tale of Nokdu as a kdrama overall is full of female empowerment, feminism, and just pure badassery.
Can we also talk about how gay this show is at times. Not only did we get a m/m kiss between Jang Dong Yoon and Kang Tae Oh, we also get cross dressing (drag), and a vice curator that's madly in love with Nok-Du both as a woman and a man. Gender is no biggie for this curator so we stan this pan icon in this household.
Kang Tae Oh is sincerely the best villain in this and I really appreciate how he did give up on Dong Ju but not on being the king. We stan a man like that.
I also liked the ending, I thought everything was wrapped up pretty neatly and I liked how all of my faves were still alive. Besides, the chemistry between our main leads is just sizzling. Can we also acknowledge that I was like hella gay for Ssuk? Cause I was.

71. The Boy Next Door
Korean Drama - 2017, 15 episodes
This was just GOLD, GOD tier comedy. I laughed out loud almost the entire 1,5 hour and tears were just pouring out of my eyes because it was so damn funny. I don't know why this mini webdrana is so underrated because it's seriously the best one I've seen so far. It's been like 30 minutes since I've finished this and I'm still laughing & crying about this. The boy next door is just a masterpiece. I honestly can't say anything else about it because I loved it so much. It is just so darn good. My only complaint is ARE THEY TOGETHER NOW OR NOT? I'm just turning it into a headcanon that they are, lol. I'm a fan.

72. romanceD
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
Hahaha, I loveee the big old karma for the dude in the end. He so deserved to end up alone and he did. KARMA ASSHOLE!
I also liked how the drama showed that Bo-Ra was a victim too just like Bom since he gaslighted both girls.
I'm just super happy that Bom ended up with Ma-Ro since he was 100% a cutie.
Am I also the only one who thought Ma-Ro was a dead ringer for Jamie from so not worth? I honestly won't be surprised if these two actors are related.
Lastly, I really liked how the story took place at a university, talked about darker themes, and was all about film school. Especially the film school element or making a movie plotline is something I'll always enjoy.
Overall not one of the best web dramas I've ever seen but it definitely was super entertaining. Every episode kept me hooked and I binged watched this very quickly. I had a great time watching this. -
73. La faune d'Itaewon
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
When I started watching Itaewon Class I didn't care for it. Not even one single bit. That's why me and my best friend with whom I was watching it gave up on it after only seeing three episodes. It's been almost a year since I stsrted this and only now was I finally in the mood to pick this up again. Surprisingly, I didn't dislike Itaewon Class as much when I started watching it. It's definitely not as bad as 2020 Emma thought it was. It's, however, not the masterpiece other people say it is. It's actually a pretty decent, entertaining, and thought provoking show but it is nowhere near as good as other kdramas I've seen (which is of course a matter of personal taste).
I definitely think that Park Saeroyi was the heart of this show. He is what made me like Itaewon Class. I honestly saw so much of myself in him, but with a better haircut. He truly wins the award of most relatable fictional character of 2021 for me. He and I are both people of principles, which isn't something people always understand. Not only did I think Park Saeroyi was a breath of fresh air, he also made me feel less lonely. A lot of times people didn't understand why I stubbornly stuck to my principles while I could have chosen an easier route. I, therefore, felt seen by the portrayal of Park Saeroyi. Besides, my heart fucking ached for him too. I truly wanted to wrap him in one huge bear hug because man did he suffer.
I also lowkey shipped Hyunyi with Seung Kwon. I thought the actors had great chemistry together and I liked how the show ended with them going on a date. That somehow felt like a full circle moment. Besides, I may be the only person on the plan who thought this but I actually thought Hyunyi was even prettier with her blue hair. -
74. I Have Three Boyfriends
Korean Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
This drama gave me the WORST anxiety ever. Each episode my anxiety levels would be even higher than in the previous episode.
I honestly can't choose between the three men, they're all so cute and sweet. I do think that Gunwoo might be my favourite by a tiny bit. But honestly all of them are such catches.
WOAW.... wtf.... GURL.... She really needs to see a therapist cause... DAMN... She truly tricked three men with amnesia into thinking she was their girlfriend while she wasn't. She made everything up...
I don't even think she ended the lie and either started a new one or continued with dating all three of them.
THE ENDING... YES GIRL I WOULD BE DIFFERENT! I seriously don't need to have that kind of anxiety in my real life, it was alreasy too much for me to handle in drama life SO NO WAY IN HELL WOULD I DO THAT TO MYSELF. And you know all the lying isn't nice. I prefer actual sincerity over this fake shit. -
75. Memorials
Korean Drama - 2020, 32 episodes
I really wanted to like this drama and I put quite an effort into trying to like this but I never actually really liked into the ring. It's not like it was full of plot holes, themes, or plotlines that made me rage. But there wasn't also anything that made me go like OMO I FUCKING LOVE THIS. Into the ring did honestly nothing for me. It kind of received the because this is my first life treatment. Both dramas should have been something I would have adored but they just received the meh treatment. They absolutely did nothing for me. There's nothing objectively bad about those two kdramas but honestly I gave zero fucks about the story or characters. I've also liked the leading actors in their previous work, but this drama truly did them dirty. Both main characters could have been amazing but they somehow failed to make any impact or impression on me. I do have an opinion on the female lead though. I think the writers made her too aggressive and too quirky, which is ultimately why I didn't really like her or could ship her with the male lead. On the other hand, it's not like I absolutely hated or disliked her, I just think that the writers should have downplayed some of her aggressiveness and quirkiness for her to be more likeable and simply a better (& interesting) protagonist.

76. Deserter Pursuit
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
I OFFICIALLY DON'T LIKE KDRAMAS ANYMORE THAT ARE MADE BY NETFLIX! WHY DO THEY ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE TO HURT ME LIKE THIS? This was once again really good and made me both cry and laugh. It's also big on social commentary, which is something I always love. The beginning somewhat started out as this might be a show that's funny and occasionally deals with heavy stuff until it was like LET'S MAKE YOU CRY MORE THAN YOU'LL LAUGH WITH THIS HEAVY STUFF. Or maybe we will give you three moments of hilariousness and then you'll drown in sadness again. The ending also had me Jungshook. Besides, I'm not even sure if the amount of episodes were perfect or that I absolutely need more. I feel like it's a combination of both. Y'all should watch this and it is sincerely worth every praise that it has gotten. Jung Hae In is definitely one of my kdrama oppas now (which he secretly already was because my man slays every role I've seen him in so far). Also, this included some top notch bromance and Jung Hae In's character hit WAAAAAAY too close to home. It wasn't funny how his home life wrecked me because my dude I've been there too.

77. Nevertheless,
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I'm watching Nevertheless and like I'm sooo gay for 2 characters (Bit-Na & Sol) but I'm also fucking hetero for song kang's character (even though he's RED FLAGS).
Also, Sol RADIATES GAY AS HELL TOO (which is honestly the cutest thing ever)
Park Jae Eon has fuckinh mad skills too. Like the writers, director and song kang really knew how to do that character well BECAUSE MY HEART EVEN FLUTTERED AND MY HEART NEEEEVER FLUTTERS.
I'm just so gay for Bit-Na and Sol. Bit-Na's whole look and personality had me gay. Sol, however, is like a bit masculine but if her hair is not tied she's suddenly FEMININE and both looks have me gaaaaay.
Lol I love song kang. He is literally my most seen actor of 2021 (because I watched Sweet home, Love alarm 2, Navillera, and now Nevertheless). I gotta make sure before the year ends that lee dong wook is #1 & lee jong suk #2.
Red flags is also so nice at the moment, he saved girl when she had a period and no pads. But then he is like why can't we be close in a non platonic way without dating, which shattered the illusion big time..
Park Jae Eon is the definition of katy perry's hot and cold song.

78. Twenty Twenty
Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes
I quite liked and enjoyed watching Twenty-Twenty, but if I had to be brutally honest I don't think there ever was much of a plot. The webdrama definitely didn't need to be as long as it was due to its lack of storyline. Besides, even some storylines were quite lacking. I did however really like the characters despite the show's lack of plot. I did really like how it was about university life and age, which I always enjoy and find the most relatable. The setting was definitely the dramas strongest point as well. I also liked the romance between our main leads and I thought they were pretty cute and compatible together. And quirky loud guy (who's in real life a member of the kpop group a.c.e) budding romance with pancake was the cutest. I definitely didn't want to date pancake myself (I so did though). I initially was all about our second male lead Ha Jun but then bitch became toxic and just a shitty person overall so my feelings for him flew out of the window real quick. I still adore the actor though. The focus on music was also cool. My only complaints are how out of nowhere the mother daughter relationship was salvaged? And also the reasoning for the mother's toxic and obsessive behaviour was just pure bullshit in my opinion. I mean c'mon that definitely didn't excuse her horrible attitude and behaviour towards her daughter. She truly was a toxic and abusive mother and I don't like how quickly they redeemed her. I honestly don't like how they redeemed her at all. My last issue with Twenty-Twenty is how our female lead kept randomly putting alcohol in her water bottle during the weekend & would constantly drink from it because it was the weekend??? I dunno I found it a bit weird how they were like OMG WE GOTTA MAKE HER DO THIS.

79. Check Out the Event
Korean Drama - 2021, 4 episodes
I REALLY HATED THAT LIPSTICK WHICH THE FL ALWAYS WORE. IT IS SO UGLY AND SO ORANGE AND IT DEFINITELY DIDN'T LOOK GOOD ON HER.
Also the pretty setting and scenery could not save this drama. I don't know how this won mbc's 2020 script contest because damn this was not that great. I'm honestly wondering how bad the other scripts were if this was the best one.
The ml lead also broke up with her for the most stupidest reason ever and I'm like how will you ever be in a healthy, supportive relationship if you don't share stuff with your partner or rely on them in tough times?
The other couples were underdeveloped too and I'm still not sure if the older couple's child is missing pr dead?
Also, I initially thought that the second male lead was a cutie and should have ended up with the fl but then he became too obsessed with her. He literally called himself her future boyfriend out of nowhere. Besides, the fl was also a bit too clingy for my taste when she broke up with her ex. He definitely should have given her a better reason or simply not have broken up with her if he went with the I hit scammed and this hurt my pride so we had to break up until the situation was fixed. This, however, didn't make her entitled to unexpectedly show up at his house and scream at him. In the end, I wanted everyone to be single as hell except for the older couple. I was kinda rooting for them.
To be honest check out the event is eventually not that worthy of checking out. I can name better webdramas or short dramas than this one. There are others that are worth checking out while I don't think check out the event falls under that category. Everything was kind bland and forgettable in my opion. -
80. Go Back Couple
Korean Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
In the beginning I wasn't really feeling or enjoying this series, but after a few episodes in I really started to give with it. It's also pretty funny (which makes sense since it's a comedy but Hollywood has sort of ruined my expectations for comedies since they were never funny). I also really liked the side characters and their stories but the overal arc of our main leads was really moving. But oh my god, did I have severe second lead syndrome for Jang Ki-Yong's character. He was such a precious little bean. I guess I'm officially stanning Jang Ki-Yong now because he's such a great actor.
-
81. Squid Game
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
I really loved how fucked up it was and how dark it was. My heart did die a little when Ali and the North Korean defector died, especially with the last one since I was rooting for her and Gi Hun to win. She lowkey stole my heart and I was really mesmerised by her looks. When I found out she was a model I wasn't surprised at all. But honestly there were some plotholes. I mean what was the whole point of the detective? Or the organ dealings? I felt like that those two storylines didn't intertwine very well with the overarching plot. I also saw it from miles coming that the darth vader wannabe was the detective's brother. On the other hand, how the thug died by the hands of the woman he abandoned was damn satisfying. But was the nudity in this really necessary? I think not... The thrill of the show was great but man was the ending the shittiest, most useless thing ever. I don't like how mr. 01 was the big baddie. I did not like that and it kind of felt like a weird or cheap move. ALSO WOW THE GONG YOO CAMEO HAD ME SHOOOOOOK. And I'm also not over Gi Hun's haircut in the finale.... that will haunt me in my sleep now, thanks.

82. The Dolphin in the Little Mermaid
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
This was cute but there wasn't much of a plot. I also liked the flashbacks from when they were kids the most and I thought they did a fairly decent job of portaying their characters. You could also see from the sets that this was a web drama since most of the designs were very minimal. I watched this because I'm a sucker for web dramas and I like to give the very underrated or unknown ones a shot too, but if I have to be completely honest anything that has the word mermaid in it will make me watch it. This however doesn't have actual mermaids in it, but despite the lack of my merpeople it was still cute to watch. Also, I'm really excited in the main lead and how he will portray Jungkookie in youth (the adaptation of BTS' webtoon Save Me). Overall it was a cute, easy, and light watch that I needed in between some heavy dramas or if I didn't have the attention span to watch anything too complicated.
-
83. Recipe for Youth
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Recipe for Youth literally had no plot at all and the weirdest plot twist of them all. Apparently Heechul's character got hit on his head and dreamed everything that happened. But did he really dream it though? I'm not even sure if it didn't actually happen because the ending tells us different things but honestly I don't give enough fucks to care about it. I also wasn't a huge fan of the acting or the production set but nothing was as bad as Heechul's haircut. I honestly would say skip this drama, it's not worthy of your time and there are better (web)dramas out there. Besides, Recipe for Youth screamed 2016, which is also the year this was filmed, and it's honestly not a good look in my opinion.
-
84. I Told Sunset About You
Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
I truly couldn't stand Teh. I thought he was waaay too jealous, clingy, obsessive, and controlling towards Oh-aew. My baby Oh-aew deserves so much better than shitty Teh.
I also didn't understand where the feelings for Teh emerged. The majority of the time Oh-aew had this huge crush on Bas but out of nowhere he was suddenly all about Teh. To me it made no sense and the build up to their relationship felt very unrealistic to me. I don't think they make a healthy couple.
I also just really really don't like Teh. I did really love Oh-aew, which is just a precious baby, but Teh can choke for all I care. I'm so glad I spoilered myself for the next season, which 100% confirmed and justified my dislike of Teh. Asshole was all jealousy (and in my opinion ruined any potential romantic relationship between Bas and Oh-aew) but he dared to cheat on my fluffy baby who even forgave him for it later on. NO JUST NO....
This drama made me realise how difficult the Chinese language is. I now truly admire non-native speakers of the Chinese language for learning it. Because dammnnn... that alphabet has me already traumatised.
I also liked the focus on the friend group, all the studying that was so realistic, the beautiful scenery and shots. -
85. Absolute BL
Japanese Special - 2021, 1 episode
Japanese content is either a hit or miss for me, there's no in-between and let me tell you how amazing this was. This literally has to be one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. I can't even count the times where I had tears in my eyes because I was laughing so hard. At one point I literally had to muffle my laughter with a pillow since I was watching it around 2 am. This has to be the funniest show I've seen all year, maybe ever. It is definitely a BL/queer/LGBTQ+ drama that deserves all the hype and love it's getting. My only complaint has to do with the significant other of the male lead. I felt that their relationship was a bit underdeveloped, which is ultimately why I couldn't give this hilarious masterpiece a 10/10 rating. I'm hoping the second season will develop this sudden relationship further or will explain it. I'm honestly really stoked/hyped for the second season. I truly can't wait for it to come out.
Also, the intro song had no right to be such a bop. Every time it came on was just a blast. No theme song has the right to be this good. -
86. You Raise Me Up
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
Lol, once again I wasn't really into the first few episodes, but out of nowhere I suddenly started to like this drama. I also loved our two main leads and I thought they had great chemistry together. The male lead is also an actor I personally really like and I love how diverse hos projects always are. They are always out of the box and unique. Besides, I also really liked how they handled this topic of erectile dysfunction and I thought it was overall a very unique idea for a kdrama. I think it is overall a pretty progressive Korean drama. And don't even get me started on how they handled the mental health representation. That truly made me super emotional. It was very heartwarming and important to see. Great representation of mental illnesses is still scarce so whenever I come across a great one I'm also super emo for it. Also, other arguments the show made such as why can't a regular guy love the colour pink without society branding him as a creep. Messages like that had me like AMEN! Overall a pretty funny and entertaining drama to watch.
-
87. Meeting You
Chinese Drama - 2020, 28 episodes
The female lead in meeting you is amazing. She's very different from your average leading lady. Besides, the amount she falls in the first episode alone is just amazing. Funnily enough it keeps happening since she keeps falling or being clumsy. I love her so much and she's such a mood. I've never met such a relatable female lead in a cdrama.
Meeting You is just sooo cute?? and it keeps getting cuter and cuter. I even urged my friends to watch it since it's just so darn adorable. And don't even get me started on the social anxiety rep ?? It's sincerely the best social anxiety representation I've seen in such a long time and that says a lot since this drama is from China (nothing against China besides maybe some of the questionable decisions of their government, but its society is also pretty conservative. So I wasn't expecting much from the mental health representation but in all honesty I was blown away by how they handled it).
I literally almost cried twice already.
I do need to get something off my chest: WHY ARE OPENINGS OF CHINESE SHOWS ALWAYS SO DAMN LONG???
Ooooooooeeeeeh they have a new intro logo since the gang is now at university. Me likey likey likey, me likey likey likey.
-
88. Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Lol Kim Sae Ron finally has a love interest that's around her age?? it's honestly a miracle.
I'm kind of sad that Hyun Soo is now gone. I just have a thing for ghost friends & people being able to see ghosts. He was also such a puppy. I sincerely hope his arc isn't complete yet.
I also shipped Doo Shim and Woo Soo with each other & I can't wait for their relationship to develop further in season 2. Besides, I also liked how the two girls that were set up as the mean girls didn't end up being the mean girls. I liked how they both were like fuuuck stereotypes and cliches & befriended Ga Doo Shim.
I had so much fun with watching this show and I'm really excited for the second season. It is quality wise but I immensely enjoyed this. It's quite crazy how quickly I binge watched it.
Did ya notice that I'm excited for the second season because hell I am. -
89. Venez au restaurant des sorcières
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
The subtitle team of Viki for this one is brilliant. Someone literally put a Hermione Granger quote in the subs to explain what a mandrake was. What a legends these subtitle people are. I stan them.
If potato guy doesn't get the girl here too I will fucking yell and scream.
I NEED A SECOND SEASON OF THIS! THIS WAS JUST TOO PERFECT♡ Everything was right up my alley. Just so good. The witch's diner had all the best witchy vibes I've ever longed for. It's truly one of the best shows about witches I've ever seen and I've seen my fair share of witch shows. -
90. Saebit Boys' High School Council
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Daon reminds me toooo much of our King Namjoon that I'm getting sincerely weirded out. His character is so far likable but too much of a people pleaser that he hurts them too. I still don't like him because toooooo much Namjoon vibes I'm getting from him that I'm feeling very embarrassed.
Shin Woo is so far every closeted rude but shy gay boy who is mean to his crush because he likes him AND I'M SO FUCKING DONE WITH THIS HORRIBLE TROPE. This honestly has to be my least favourite queer trope ever (well this and the almost no queer couple can be happy without cheating. There's almost aaalways cheating involved in queer representations in films or TV shows and I mean c'mon WHY?) Sohee is however the worst character by far. And our protagonist is just very robot like, which doesn't make me that attached to him. I honestly like gamer boy the most and I actually wish he would have ended up with robot (but no they had to go for let's be fucking obvious...... #facepalm. They literally chose the least unsurprising love interest ever).
I thought this was supposed to be cute and fun but if I'm not getting weired out by fake Namjoon I'm getting irritated by Shin Woo. I'm already at episode 6 but it's honestly my least favourite Korean BL so far, which is sad since I was really looking forward to this one.
My dog Lucky is watching me like STOP WATCHING YOUR KDRAMA AND TAKE ME ON A WALK NOOOOW. And I'm so tempted to do that and never pick this drama up again.
Update I did walk my dog and picked it up again. I really should make better life choices, but alas.
-
91. So I Married an Anti-Fan
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
-
92. My Name
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
I loooove watching a mediocre drama where you'll know everything before the first episodes ends. By episode 1 you just know where the story is gonna go but it's also supposed to be an epic thriller action revenge story. I'M LIKE WHEEEEREE IS THE MYSTERY? And don't even get me started on all the plotholes (even my highway has less holes than this drama).
So much makes no sense, just no sense at all. Ahn Bo Hyun's character was initially very suspicious of Jiwoo. He was like wooaw she sus, I don't trust her and literally one second later he was threw everything out of the window. Pildo truly went like YEEEEET I trust her now because she got hurt. Somehow he magically didn't hear another character revealing her identity but he was like BIBBIDI BOBBIDO BOO u got hurt so now I trust you. -
93. Si Teng
Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes
In the beginning I really had to get used to the story's format and way of telling the characters' arcs, but when I got the hand of it I really started to enjoy it.
Si Teng was an absolute babe and I loved her temper so much. I really liked how she treated Qin Fang initially as her servant but slowly fell in love with them. Qin Fang was also an interesting character until his actual origins were revealed (I truly loathe the last few episodes). They were a truly compatible couple and I truly shipped the hell out of them. They were very cute and had a pretty slow burning romance, which was great.
I also absolutely adored the OST of this drama and one of the songs was just on repeat for more than a week, which is quite remarkable since I've never listened to Chinese music outside of a drama or movie.
The scenery was also beautiful. Rattan truly had the best nature shots that had me drooling.
Wafang is truly one of the rare kids I absolutely adore in television. I usually find kids in movies or shows annoying but this little bugger kind of stole my heart. His relationship with his master, Yan Fu Rui, was too precious. Yan Fu Rui is definitely one of the best parents out there.
I also loved how Yan Fu Rui was the ultimate third wheeler and a lot of times I really felt bad for this precious little bean. He was always the most unluckiest person ever. He was really likeable, very relatable, and great comic relief though.
I do have to say that the series really went downhills from episode 24 and onwards. I truly don't like where the story went abd I lowkey hate both endings. I simply wasn't a fan of the direction this cdrama took, which is kind of really sad since I thoroughly enjoyed all the 23 episodes that came before. -
94. Be Loved in House
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Lol I shipped the side couple more than the actual main couple. They were just the cutest uwu fluffy babies that warmed my little heart. Their chemistry was also sizzling. Just nothing but love for my uwu babies.
You bet I fucking cried when our male lead came out to his mum and that mother was like you het I still love the fuck out of you, no matter who you love. Gender doesn't matter. I mean AMEN. She was literally the biggest shipper of the two of them. You go momma!
Also, the live streamers regulars at the cafe/restaurant were very random but also entertaining at the same time. They literally had no purpose in this show but somehow they made me smile whenever they appeared.
The only negative thing I can say is that the plastic forks got on my nerves. WHAT REAL RESTAURANT USES PLASTIC THROWAWAY FORKS? WHO DOES THAT? Lol, somehow the forks really got on my nerves and made me all worked up. Also my OCD ass got really triggered and annoyed of the empty shelves in their house. Why have shelves if you don't fill them up?
Overall I really liked it and I couldn't stop watching it. I simply had to binge watch this show. -
95. Be Loved in House Special
Taiwanese Special - 2021, 1 episode
It's truly CRUCIAL ESSENTIAL VITAL to watch the special episode of be loved in house: I do since it really answers a lot of questions about a character's past and a lot more. It really wraps up everything neatly. Besides, the bonus points are some extra cutesy scenes between the main leads. This is basically everything a special should be.
-
96. A First Love Story
Korean Special - 2021, 2 episodes
This was really cute but so short. I truly wished it was longer since I was completely mesmerised and immersed in the love story between the two characters. I also liked how it involved a character going to the military. One again a stellar production by Strongberry. They truly give us the best LGBTQ+ content. We're sincerely spoiled by them.
-
97. Next-Door Witch J
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
I thought this was an entertaining web drama that's story wise nothing to big or to difficult to understand. It was exactly the kind of drama that I needed right now. The story of next door witch was also perfect for this webdrama format. There was enough story for 12 episodes without it dragging, getting repetitive, or failing to give the audience a conclusive answer. It wrapped up pretty neatly since all loose ends were tied up. I truly think this format was the right one for this story. I also liked the characters but I wasn't immensely invested or attached yo them. They were fleshed out enough for me to like them and care somewhat forcthen, but they didn't really make an inpact or lasting impression on me. It is, however, funny that I considered the female lead to be too old for the role while she actually around her character's age. The opposite happened with the second male lead since I thought he looked to young for his role while the actor in real life is actually 5 years older than his character. To me this was pretty funny. But do you know what wasn't funny? Well... the bad foundation of the actual male lead. For this to be a show all about make up and beatubers I expected the actual make up artists for this production to do a better job than what they delivered on. If I, someone who sticks at make up and never ever wears it, realizes how bad the male lead's foundation was then there is something seriously wrong with it. Despite the make up flaws I still enjoyed watching this web drama and I definitely would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a simple story to watch on a lazy, rainy afternoon.
-
98. Florida Banjeom
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
I literally want to give most of the boys a haircut because damn they are in dire need of it.
The restaurant looks cool but fucking unpractical. WHAT IF IT RAINS? WHAT IF IT IS WINTER? HOW WILL YOU MAKE MONEY THEN?
A lot of people said that Eun Gyu acts as if he hates the main lead but I honestly didn't get that. He mostly acted friendly with him and he was only hesitant to hire him as a part-timer since our main lead has no experience in the food industry.
I'm not sure how I feel about their first kiss though. It would have been more okay if Eun Gyu actually missed the ML instead of the ML kissing him. It wasn't super sketchy since Eun Gyu did make the first move and the ML slowly kissed him.
The best friends picking a fight over the ML isa thing I really didn't like. No person could come between me and my friends & especially if I had been friends with them for 15 years like them. Besides, them fighting over the ML as if he wasn't there was pretty weird as well. -
99. My Woofy Poofy Love
Korean Drama - 2018, 8 episodes
The title is actual cringe but the show is surprisingly cute and not that bad after all. I mainly watched this so I could check off a character that turns into an animal from my watch list's challenge.
The couple was pretty cute as well and I really liked Geum Dol's acting. I'm curious to see him in his other projects (& then I realised I've already seen him in here's my plan where he was absolutely the cutest).
Poor Shi Deok, having to fly as a dog with his girlfriend on their couple's trip to save money, lol.
I'm dying :") The cafe owner got neutered as a dog, which is why he is single. Whahahahahahaha :") A sad and tragic story indeed. -
100. Mon colocataire est un gumiho
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
I've decided I'm gonna watch youth of may before I'll see my Roommate is a Gumiho so I get that amazing fun pick me up after depression anxiety. ....And now I'm cry laughing because of my Roommate is a Gumiho.
I'm in love with our female lead though.
"You already know so much about me but I would like my body fat to be private"
This woman!! Omg I fucking love her!! There's like a hot Gumiho in the show but who am I drooling over? A disaster of a human being aka the sloth out of all sloths and the biggest mood ever. Plus she loves history (she's just perfect).
Lee Dam being like:
Falling in love with a human? Meh
Falling in love with a gumiho? Nah
Falling in love with food every meal time? HELL YESSS
We all deserve a 999 year old Gumiho that takes care of us when we're on our periods like this girl does.
OMG GUMIHO IS A BABY!! He literally turned into her (shapeshift illusion) so that she doesn't have to worry about a group assignment because of period cramps. What a precious soul.
