My Favourites :)

Dramas that stood out to me for some reason. Some of these have been rewatched an unhealthy amount of times.

  • Move to Heaven

    1. Move to Heaven

    Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes

I don’t usually cry at dramas, and I cried in the first episode.  When people ask me what my favourite k-drama is, my go to is always move to heaven. This show has me wrapped around it‘s finger fr. I just really like it :)

  • Life on Mars

    2. Life on Mars

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

I was watching the original British Life on Mars series (which is named after the David Bowie song fun fact) when I found out there was a Korean remake. Being a show made in 2006 and set in 1973 England, you can imagine how problematic the characters were lol. I hated literally everyone. The remake is much much more wholesome and I definitely prefer it. Had a lot of fun comparing the two shows whilst watching them simultaneously :)

  • A Wonderful Sight

    3. A Wonderful Sight

    Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

All the characters are quirky in a ~not like the other girls~ way but I love it. LOVE the FL she‘s smart, just does whatever she wants, is flawed but also so caring and understanding. I am obsessed with her. I started watching this on a whim with no prior knowledge and I am so glad I did.

  • My Mister

    4. My Mister

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

This really surprised me. I binged it pretty quick as couldn’t stop watching. Everyone’s lives were train wrecks and you can’t help but root for them. Since it’s pretty slow paced, I don’t think it’s something I would watch again, but I really enjoyed it. Felt very mature innit.

  • HIStory3: Prisonnier

    5. HIStory3: Prisonnier

    Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes

    10

To this day one of my favourites. Who doesn’t love enemies to lovers? I certainly love enemies to lovers. Can’t lie, I have watched this probably more than 3 times than I can count.. haha.. yea.

  • Manner of Death

    6. Manner of Death

    Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes

    10

Added for the same reasons as the one above. Both were the most unique and interesting of the genre at the time.

  • Monster

    7. Monster

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    10

Usually when a show has a ”is the main character really a bad guy?” mystery I know the answer is most likely no, because they’re the main character but I was starting to doubt him fr.  The plot twists hit me like a sack of potatoes to the head. I gave up trying to guess who did it at a certain point bc all of my predictions were wrong lol. Also kinda fruity??

  • The Demon Judge

    8. The Demon Judge

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    10

I can’t not add this to the list after adding beyond evil as they are basically the same drama in different fonts. VERY similar vibes, which are vibes I vibe with. I managed to guess more of the plot twists than in beyond evil tho so go me.

  • Muchu sa, Kimi ni

    9. Muchu sa, Kimi ni

    Japanese Drama - 2021, 5 episodes

    10

I went into this knowing nothing nd really really loved the concept of this. Following the story of two characters who don’t know each other, whose lives are somewhat interconnected. Very lighthearted and sweet. I definitely preferred Nikaido‘s storyline (kinda fruity??), though they were both entertaining.

  • Hospital Playlist

    10. Hospital Playlist

    Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes

    10

UGHHG I love their little band so much. They're just?? So sweet?? I never thought I'd find myself liking a medical drama so much. And the cast!! Shut up. It's all a bit too much. +Season 2 Ik Jun and Song Hwa make me go a little feral actually.

  • The Guest

    11. The Guest

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

Meeting in childhood and becoming friends as adults is one of my favourite tropes. That and 'I would die for you'. Needless to say I loved this. This trio >>>

  • Weak Hero Class 1

    12. Weak Hero Class 1

    Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    10

Some of the best fight scenes I have seen in a while, I hate fight scenes that rely on quick cuts and shaky camera work to look convincing. They were so ride or die and self sacrificing they're impossible not to love.

  • Don't Call it Mystery

    13. Don't Call it Mystery

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    10

My guy just wants to eat his curry!! I really liked his little speeches and philosophies. Also not him pining for a guy he met like one time.

  • Parole d'honneur

    14. Parole d'honneur

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    10

I have to add this after watching and then rewatching it back to back. This has pretty much every cheesy trope I love- childhood friends, found family, badass female characters, risking their lives for each other, enemies to lovers ;) AND I actually liked both of the main couples which is a rarity. So yeah great drama 10/10 would watch again and again until I fry my brain.

  • Bu Liang Zhi Nian Qing Chu Shi

    15. Bu Liang Zhi Nian Qing Chu Shi

    Taiwanese Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    10

I just love a friendship trio I can't help it. A little bit of (fictional) trauma is always fun. When they're traumatised but it's just made them kind ;--; my weakness.

  • Bad and Crazy

    16. Bad and Crazy

    Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

    10

I love all the main characters (by the end lol)?? That's uncommon. This is the perfect mix of comedy and feels that makes you unable to stop watching. It's not often a show can make me cry like a baby. I hate goodbyes.
