Handsome Siblings (2020)

Two leads, one care-free and the other stoic, are at odds with one another until they get to know one another. Main character is seen as a villain, even though everyone who actually meets him respect and trust him. Second male lead tries to live up to his clan's wishes, but bends or breaks the rules to protect his friend at all costs. Male lead has to use unorthodox tricks to win as there are more powerful swordsmen that are out of his league (including the 2nd male lead). The above description describes both Untamed and Handsome Siblings.

Both have fantastic action sequences, and can tug at the heartstrings. While there are differences when it comes to the storybeats and plot, they feel cut from the same cloth. If you like one, you more than likely would like the other.

Both dramas are a new version from the 90s. A remake. they incorporate a good sene of martial arts world and shows the story of the peoplein the martial artist's world.

- The Dark Lord is more political whereas Handsome Siblings revolves around Jianghu.

This is pure Wuxia. The theme (brotherhood, integrity, loyalty, righteousness), plot (the martial world of wulin and its sects), and martial arts prowess.

The Moon Brightens for You and The Handsome Siblings feature some of the best action choreography, stunning visuals and cinematography seen in a wuxia for 2020. The stories that unfold are shaped by past events that took place under mysterious circumstances.

Both dramas also share similar comedic elements and romantic vibes.

Both are based on the same novel by Gu Long. The story is about a pair of twin brothers who were separated from each other at birth and raised under different circumstances. The twins first see each other as enemies but gradually become friends and eventually acknowledge each other as brothers.

The 1998 TVB version was starring Tony Leung and Hugo Ng and was the popular back then.

This is one of the previous adaption of Handsome Siblings from 2005, therefore its definitely similar other than the quality in cinematography, costumes, scenery, HD quality. Story line is the same.

Although the storyline is completely different, I personally think that YZX in Young Blood and JXY in Handsome Siblings have quite a similar character. Both are smart, cunning and loves to joke around; thus always mistaken for always lying and not being to fully trust them. They also like to solve problems if it arouses their interests and likes to make trouble. Both shows includes fighting scenes but Handsome Siblings is based on Jianghu whereas Young Blood focuses more on solving cases, helping the country and the people and has politics involved. Both stories have romance.

Both main leads are played by Chen Zhe Yuan.
Both dramas have a lot of exciting action and deal with friendship and relationship.

Both have great characters with wonderful martial arts skills.
If you love action and great plot twists, then you can't miss out on Handsome Siblings.

I can't actually give specifics of the overlaps without giving major spoilers for each story, but I'll try to hit on some more general overlaps

- we have multiple love stories happening, and one couple in each story is separated by a second male who also wants the FL (if there's technically a 'FL' in Handsome Siblings)
- The apparent villains are actually being orchestrated by some big bad that doesn't reveal itself for the majority of the show
- Good people are bad, bad people are good, and other people change from one to the other throughout the drama--> lots of focus on revenge and morality
