Not for me..
I started to watch this k-drama because of the hype I saw everywere but I found it kinda boring, at some point I didn't feel interested in the whole story. It's true that the ost is really beautiful, but I thin this k-drama is just not for me, it's surprisingly beacuse it's something I would like, I don't know what happen.
Maybe sometime I could try again and watched but for now I don't think so, I dropped it in episode 5.
(I was watching it with a friend and we both fall asleep 😭)

It had potential.
There were so many things in this k-drama that I found certainly questionable, but I won't lie, I was entertained most of the time. But here I'm going to mention why I think it could have been so much better:- It was hard to empathize with the main male character, I didn't feel that the reason he decided to steal (yes, steal) his brother's fiancée moved me enough to get to understand him, therefore, everything he did to achieve his goal didn't seem noble to me and his redemption was resolved so easily, all for the convenience of the plot.
- I didn't believe enough that they were so in love at the time they confessed it to each other, much less on her part. I understand there was some attraction, but directly making it seem like they couldn't be without each other didn't make it realistic, I feel like that wasn't built up very well. When I saw them acting like any couple I didn't believe it.
- The character of the brother and the approach to his sexuality was so superficial, I couldn't connect enough with him either, I think they could have put his story to better use and not just have him be there for plot convenience, again.
- Another thing is that many times I felt that the tone of the plot was lost, I didn't understand if it was a romantic comedy, something dramatic or who knows what else. The truth is that they didn't know how to balance it. Rush and superficial.
- The side stories offered NOTHING.
But I will put as plus points, the OST because I personally liked it, especially the song 'Butterfly', also that I have seen the actors' work previously and I consider them to be pretty good, but of course this is not their best work. And also something in favor were the cameos in the last episode (especially Kim Beom and Lee So Hyuk) lol.
Overall, I wasn't bored, yes, it was entertaining, but I think there was a lot of wasted potential. It wasn't horrible but it certainly could have been a lot better.

Heartwarming.
This c-drama was quite heartwarming, I was going through a block in terms of watching series but I gave it a chance and enjoyed it a lot.To some people it may seem that in the end its pacing was rushed as the story focuses more on school time, and I agree with that in part.
Also, something that is notorious and that I don't quite understand is the need for the characters to continue having such childish behaviors when they are already adults and that they are also surprised or embarrassed to kiss each other or have gestures of affection when they have been in a relationship for many years and even lived together, but hey.
I must say that I liked the story itself, it was fun, light-hearted, romantic, wholesome and with a very calm pace. Perhaps many people didn't like the latter because the group of friends had to face very few difficulties and got everything they wanted, and we know that in many cases in real life this doesn't happen that way, personally I don't think that this detracted from the story, it was just what I wanted to see, a quiet story without so much drama.
I really liked seeing how our male protagonist was letting the female protagonist more and more into his world and how his change was becoming noticeable. I would have liked to see more of the relationship between the secondary couple, they were a lot of fun to watch.
Without further ado, I would recommend it, it's not heavy to watch and if you're looking for a simple, quiet love story with little nuances this one is adequate.

It was very fun
This Thai drama left me impressed by its production quality. The premise it deals with is very interesting and even though there are only 6 episodes they are very enjoyable and make you want to keep watching one after the other. Undoubtedly, I think it's a plot that could have been approached more deeply, but for its format I don't think it was too bad (although I was left wanting to see more). I think it's perfect for non-stop weekend viewing, it's fun, the games are entertaining and I really liked the characters. It was hilarious sometimes and I loved it, without getting so reflexive or critical it is a show that I would watch again because I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Let's wait if they decide to bring out a new season.Cet avis était-il utile?
Mmm... Cute.
I don't usually watch cdramas but this one caught my attention and I really liked it. The story is cute, touching and the characters are adorable, I have a special place in my heart for Sang Yan -the brother- I always loved it when he appears on screen and the dynamic between him and Sang Zhi is so real, a real sibling behavior. Another thing I liked about this cdrama was how it portrayed friendship, between the female characters and the male characters, it made me want to have friends like them. Maybe I have a lot to say about this cdrama but some people find it a bit controversial because of the age difference (I highly understand), but from my point of view the story is well constructed, they met when she was little but he never saw her as a potential lover until they met again when she was older, having an older crush when you are little is very common, he never interacted with her with other intentions when they first met, she sees his actions in that romantic way simply because she is in love with him. I don't know what else you think but for me, this story was super cute, the ost was also super cute, I loved the songs, and again Victor Ma and his character was my favorite.Maybe what I didn't like so much is how the female lead continues to be so innocent and pure even as an adult, as they emphasize so much.
But if you're looking for something cute, sweet and very cheesy, you should watch it.

Two words... Youthful and Amazing.
I think I have found my favorite k-drama so far, it will most likely enter my top 5 and will stay there. I have so many things to say about Twinkling Watermelon, it combines precisely many of the things that I like and love to see in kdramas (music, youthful plots, romance, comedy, heart touching, lovely characters, time travel and more). This story so beautifully uses the element of music as an escape and as a form of genuine expression, it shows how difficult it is to grow up and how traumas and dysfunctional families affect our lives, it also portrays how beautiful it is to have a family and I'm not just talking about the one we are related to by blood. Likewise, it portrays youthful romance in such a charming way. Without a doubt, there are too many things that I highlight about this wonderful k-drama, which is worth watching, so I will mention a few:
- I loved the way the story is constructed, from the beginning it is intriguing and makes you want to continue watching chapters even if you need to sleep early, time traveling plot has caught my attention lately and I thought its execution was perfect in Twinkling Watermelon.
- I found the story very moving, it made me put myself in the shoes of all the characters, in the past and present. It made me cry so many times and also think about so many things, especially about my parents life.
- Each character is necessary and adds to the story, I loved the relationship of the boys in the band and I loved each one of them, seeing their interactions and how with the small intervention of Eun Gyeol they managed to build such a beautiful friendship and brotherhood made me want have friends like them.
- The comedy is so good and gives it a special touch. It made me laugh even when I had just cried because something touching had happened.
- I found the romance between the two couples cute, without being rushed and just how love arises in adolescence. (It also made me cry wishing someone loved me in such a way).
- YiChan's character is so cool, lovely, and funny and with Eun Gyeol, his dearly son, they make the perfect duo. I definitely love both of them.
I could go on saying many more things, but my final opinion is that this drama is very heart touching, with a well-constructed story, with characters very well created and executed by the actors exceptionally (I applaud the cast), and without a doubt with many lessons. In life there are many things that are out of our control and no matter how much we try to avoid them, they will happen, but we can always take advantage and overcome adversity, youth is a charming and very painful stage but those friends that we make genuinely and the family we created it can make it easier. I would recommend this drama without hesitation. I loved it from beginning to end and if I see her again I know I will feel the same. (Although I would have liked to see a little more of the new future and how things happened, especially Eunyu's future). No matter what, in my opinion it's a solid 10.

I don’t know what to feel
I don’t know what to feel about this mini serie, it certainly has good characters, good writing for a plot like this, and has funny scenes and dialogues. I like that the bullies had to face consequences, and I enjoyed the most part of the serie, but about the final scene I don’t even know if it was good or not, but at least the old guy could insist more in leaving the kid to live his life, but well, things turned right and some other people like the end of the series with that twist even though it didn’t feel like a happy ending for me. I will give it a 8. The English Korean jokes made me laugh a lot.Cet avis était-il utile?
Must watch
Without a doubt this is one of the funniest k-dramas I have seen, I had a great time watching each chapter and there was no lack of laughter. For me, it was believable that the woman's body had been taken over by the soul of a man, a round of applause to the actress. That only made it funnier.
I liked how the story built up and how we changed perspective as the protagonist did.
I still want to know how exactly the time travel happened and why exactly he was the one who ended up in another era, but I'll let it slide just because the plot in the Joseon period was very enjoyable throughout.
When I started watching the first chapter I was a little hesitant to continue because I didn't understand what the plot was, but then I got into it and couldn't put it down. The last 10 chapters I watched almost one after the other without pause.
The chemistry between the main characters was very good. I agree that it deserves the rating it has.
The OST went a bit unnoticed for me, but it wasn't bad.

What is this??? *In a funny way*
From the start to end I was like "What I'm just watching". The plot was a bit interesting and weird, and it develops exactly like that. I enjoyed in some parts but other parts were just boring. Anyway, it wasn't bad, just not how I expected. It definitely could be better (or worse ??).The acting was fine. The chemistry make it funnier but I didn't buy it when they were so connected with each other, like when that happened?
Anyway, it was a little too long but ok.
Well, well, well, I don't even know what else should I say lol

What a good k-drama.
I definitely loved this k-drama. It is the first historical k-drama I watched and it was very enjoyable. The story grabs you and makes you want to watch more and more. I love how the characters were built and the dynamic between everyone. The character of the queen is just great, I'm not a mother but I could feel what she felt and I was deeply touched by the way she always tried to protect her children. I would probably watch it again sometime. I fell in love with prince Seongnam, he was my favorite character. 💗Cet avis était-il utile?
Impossible not to cry.
I found this show very touching, it made me cried so many times, I loved the characters and their stories, specially the uncle, I would 100% recommend this k-drama. It just made me think about how value is our loved ones and to live a good life.I definitely would like to have a season two because, maybe a lot of people agree with me, but I think just season 1 was so so good. If you want to watch something to cry, this is the one. You will not regret, even if you don't find it as good as I did.

Alchemy of Souls : Partie 1

Worthy to watch.
I was hesitant to start this drama since its release, and only until now I decided to give it a chance. I know it is loved by many and I think I can understand why, including the very interesting universe created, the characters and the story. However, I consider that some small things could have been better executed, starting with its length. I must clarify that here I will only talk about the first part.First of all, regarding the acting, I think it was mostly good, the actors and actresses managed to do a good job. I admit that at the beginning the performance of the female protagonist did not convince me, her 3 or 4 face expressions did not make me connect with what she was trying to convey, but later on I developed a liking for her performance, no shame to the actress, I think it had more to do with the direction.
Regarding the universe created I think it is quite coherent and although at times it seemed to break its own rules for the convenience of the plot, they managed to give it a more or less good justification. And in this aspect I would like to highlight the CGI and the effects, which in my opinion were quite good and the budget used is understood. Budget that seems to me that was too little for the costumes, because although I am not a person who is fixated on clothes, I did not like the costumes in this drama.
Now regarding the chemistry between our leads, I think at some point it seemed to come out of nowhere, from the beginning we knew they would be together but the build up of their relationship was not what I expected, I even came to think there was more chemistry between Mu-deok and Seo Yul.
Something to mention, talking now about the length of the drama and also the length of the episodes, is that in many moments I felt like I was watching fillers and stories that although some were enjoyable and pure comedy didn't do much to move the plot forward, and if it hadn't been there it wouldn't have mattered.
I liked the characters, but I think they did very little justice to the women in this kdrama, as they seem to only revolve around the men even though they supposedly have equal or more impressive powers than them. Especially what they did with Naksu was criminal, and I still don't want to talk about how they completely forgot that she was powerful and they did reduced her to just being Jang Uk's companion, but that's already for part 2. However, in part 1 I think they could have given her powers more of a part, like how are you going to introduce me to an assassin that everyone fears and then reduce her to just being a maid in the whole drama? But well...
Finally, it was a little strange that the antagonists always had the upper hand but never did anything big enough, which didn't feel as natural, it seemed like they were just waiting to be caught. Also, when the climax of the story came and the major problem that they were warning us about from the beginning was unleashed it was resolved in a simple way and therefore didn't feel as threatening as they wanted to sell it, although I understand that they wanted to lay the groundwork for the next part.
Leaving these details aside, I agree that this kdrama is pure entertainment, the fight scenes are very flashy and every time they unsheathed the swords had me in chokehold. I enjoyed the story and I think the job was well done, just maybe it could have been a bit better.
Would I recommend it? Of course I would, as long as you are a person who enjoys watching a kinda slow story build up.
(I think I’ve fallen in love with Lee Jae Wook)

Enjoyable.
I honestly enjoyed this k-drama, I liked it. I felt like the time went by fast watching it, so I didn't feel bored nor did I feel it was too long (something I thought would happen but it didn't).The truth is that watching Welcome to Samdal-ri made me think more about something I already knew: how normalized excessive drinking is in Korea. I don't think there wasn't an episode where one of the characters wasn't drinking some alcoholic beverage, or even worse, getting drunk until they lost consciousness. It was quite curious really, I don't think I've seen this shown so much in other series I've seen, so it caught my attention. This is a bit moralistic, but it's a bit worrying to see how they don't label this as something to watch out for, alcoholism is a serious problem. And leaving this aside, I do think that the use of alcohol (a common cliché) to get the characters to come clean or to give continuity to the plot was excessive.
But that's okay, I'll let that slide because again, I found the drama enjoyable. The chemistry between the leads is quite believable (I love you Ji Chang Wook) and the side stories didn't bore me as they usually do..
I don't have much to complain about, it was ok, to watch in the evenings and have a quiet and relaxing time. The plot was not the most exceptional, but it holds up, so it's ok, you manage to connect with the story. The unbelievable thing was how the biggest problem was solved so easily after 20 years when there was no hope, but ok.
I was amused by the twist they gave to Man-Su's character, but only because I wondered "Why?".
And well, would I recommend it? Yeah, probably.

It left me wanting more.
The only bad thing about this Korean BL is its length, it left me wanting more. From the beginning it managed to grab me because of its interesting plot, although I think it could have been more exploited.Although the time we get to know deeply all the characters was short, it was enough for them not to feel like simple fillers, evend the second characters were of value for the development of the plot.
Of the main characters I must mention that I liked their performances, and enjoyed watching them on screen every moment.
But, I repeat, I wish it would have lasted a little longer, so that we as viewers would have understood things a little more and some aspects would have been deepened.
Anyway, it was cozy, cute, interesting and that's why I would highly recommend it.
