VERY BORING

I don't usually watch Thai dramas, but I saw a preview scene on Netflix and I thought "how interesting".

THE MAIN PROBLEM I had with this drama was the slowness of everything, not of the action in itself, but of the movement of everything. I had to watch this in 1.5× speed so I wouldn't die of boredom 'cause the pace doesn't do justice to the plotline which is kinda nice! It's not a work of a genius, but I think it would have worked better as a movie. There aren't a lot of important things that are happening and this drama focuses more on the mystery and the atmosphere.

Most of the acting was good and the storyline of the protagonist truly kept me interested, the actress embodied the character very well. But sometimes I couldn't feel the reality of the plot, so I found it chaotic at times.
Also, the music fitted the narrative plot, yet I couldn't stand the eerie and suspensful sound that was all over the episodes. I think they used it too much. I fell in love with the ending song of the finale episode.

Give it a try if you want, but don't expect much.

Rivals to lovers

I started this drama just by curiosity and I didn't expect much from it. I fell in love with the characters from the first episodes and I finished the drama in 3-4 days. It caught me and with every episode, I wanted to see more. I liked the female lead, she is strong and intelligent and I liked that she also embraced her femininity, but she had thoughts beyond her time!

I loved that both leads were kinda morally grey and it felt like a breath of fresh air to see a different type of heroine in c-dramas. Unfortunately, from episodes 23-24 onward I wasn't that interested in the story, but I finished it because I wanted to see how it ends and how the characters will evolve.

I didn't know about this drama until I saw the results of the polls 2018. This was so good. I love IU (actress or singer) and I couldn't imagine anyone who could portray Ji An better than her. Also I really liked Do Joon Young and Kwang Il, the actors portrayed their characters very well. The other characters made the story much better.
The music was gorgeous, even if they're not the type of music I listen. I liked the old songs from this drama, as well.
Now, I want to see more dramas which could give me the vibe this drama gave to me. I will surely rewatch this someday.

Well, I really wanted to say this about this drama.
You have to watch it! Why? Well, because the story will drive you crazy when he returns in time over and over again and you will actualy get to tell the characters what they should do.
I really liked it until episode 9 inclusive, but the final episode it shouldn't have existed or maybe just the first minutes of it and an explanation about what happened with the other characters.
And now something about the characters:

Harumi was such a great character because he seemed to have anticipated the future.
Dojima Otaro (Eight) is a character which evolves throughout the story, but I really did not like how he returned in time in the last episode and for the last time because it was unfair for Saiko, the present one.
Saiko seemed to me a little bit naive, but she helped Eight to evolve and she give him a new perspective about his life.
Takauji Namiki was interesting and, I think, the creators should have given him some extra moments with Saiko.

What I did not like:
- the final episode (because Saiko did what she did with a purpose and I really liked that present, not another one)
- I think that Shison Jun (the actor who played Osanai Kazuma) did not illustrated his character as it should have been.

Overall, it was an addicting drama and I will surely rewatch it.

Oh, and Sayonara Elegy (the melody from this show) is really a melody which helps shape the story.

Really good but predictable

The only weak point of this drama, in my opinion, is that it is predictable, the idea has been used in other films.

Even though I knew what was going to happen I really liked the series, there was never a moment that bored me. I adored the actors and characters, I empathized a bit with the killer and the music was so on point. There was really chemistry between the actors, the main characters are strong but they also have weaknesses and shows emotions. It is easy to relate to them. I think I am a fan of Park Hee Soon now.

P.S. Do Gangjae can go to hell.

Loving this more and more

NO SPOILER PART: Snowfall is one of my favorite series this year. Please don't drop it because of the CGI because it isn't the most complex and looks like the older movies, but it's one of the few flaws of this series.

The male protagonist is a character from whom you can learn so much and has a very mysterious yet noble allure, just as it should be. The actor did a very good job portraying his kind, but also ruthless aura.

I've only just discovered the actress who plays Mi Lan, Nana Ouyang, and I'll definitely be following her further. And she acted so well, actually, the casting was top-notch, but coming back to the character, I really liked how she developed and matured throughout the episodes.

Even the antagonist, Ying Lian, who seemed to be more of an anti-hero, had a well-thought-out backstory that made you understand his actions over time and empathize with him somehow. And Situ Wei Lian was a character who had so many surprises up her sleeve and added to the mysterious atmosphere.

I especially loved the set and costumes, and I'm not lying when I say that I would literally do anything for Milan and Jing Xue's outfits. The choice of the era in which the action takes place was (with a little flaw which I will explain later) perfect. Even the costumes were created to fit the historical period, they were also typical of classic vampire stories.

Unfortunately, I couldn't see the relationship between Zhi Heng and Mi Lan as love, not because of the age difference, but because of the way the characters interacted, guide-learner, protector-protege, I saw more of a platonic relationship with some intimate elements between two people who care a lot about each other, so if you want a series with a lot of romance, you won't find it here. But for me, the relationship was perfect as it is.

Plus, it's not a series that drags on too long to bore you. About the second half of the series, there were episodes that I didn't like at all because I wasn't interested in what was going on, but somehow the action fixed itself and became special again.

*NOW SPOILERS BEGIN*

I loved how Mi Lan went from an innocent and defenseless creature to a much braver one after her transformation. Of course, we could see her intelligence and bravery even before, but then when SHE SAW the world for what it is, both beautiful and cruel when she was able to embrace her personality to the fullest, she became amazing and I liked how she learned a lot even after becoming a vampire. Although the series initially made it seem like visually impaired people are defenseless, which is problematic, this is somehow remedied by the idea that Mi Lan has long endured the suffering provided by her family.

I also especially liked how her mother realized her mistakes and tried to rebuild her relationship with her daughter, which is realistic because often parents or children realize that they are wrong quite late.

I was so surprised when I found out that Wei Lian is also a vampire, I didn't expect this plot at all even though I had read a theory through the comments, but I didn't believe it. Both the character and the actor played it very well to fool us.

As I said, there is a small flaw towards the end of the series when we see that there is a color picture of Zhi Heng, and he remembers that he and his family took a picture. Color cameras didn't appear until 1861, and the Republic of China lasted until 1949. Even if you think the action takes place shortly before WW2, that doesn't make Zhi Heng and Wei Lian 100 years old, but only somewhere close.

I also liked the ending at the same time, how it ends with that dialogue between them and with the flower blooming, a circular ending similar to the beginning of the series, but it's quite ambiguous and I would have liked to see at least a glimpse of Mi Lan's future.

Extraordinary story

Years have passed and I still think fondly of this film, which I have watched again and I think I will return to it again someday.

It starts out as a simple movie about time travel and a girl pretending to be a eunuch, but it's so beautiful. It touches on the subject of success in life and academic validation, of the fact that each of us is perfect at something as long as we believe in ourselves and as long as we have people by our side.

Also, the narrative thread of the love relationship between the two protagonists is sublime. A forbidden love between a girl from the future and a king from the past becomes one of the cutest love stories I've ever watched.

What is amazing is the cinematography of the movie, the scenery, the setting, I fell in love with them the first time I saw the movie. I laughed, I cried, I was happy for the characters watching the story, which has such a peaceful, but also dramatic vibe. It keeps you in suspense, captivates you and transports you too into the world of the palace.

It's also a movie that teaches you about and honors King Sejong. It shows you that there are strong people who care about the people, who want to make a change.

And the friends you make throughout your life, whether you spend a little or a lot of time with them, change your life forever. It's a movie that teaches you to have more faith in your destiny and to believe that something magical can always happen to you.

If you want a dark highschool drama, this one is for you!

It is about a typical intelligent boy who has monetary issues and who secretly has an illegal business. Things get super complicated when a rich girl comes into his life.

I liked the adrenaline and that Bae Gyu Ri wanted some action in her life, something to change and so she puts in movement all of the story. There were always something happening and this drama didn't bore me one bit. It also accentuates the hard life of teenagers.

I liked the relationship between Min Hee and Mr. Lee because it reminded me of a protective father-troubled daughter one. And the main leads had wonderful chemistry.

This is not an easy watch and it's a very sad drama, but it is a must-watch. It has a nostalgic feel to it.

Death is a part of Life

I think I liked this a little bit more than the previous one because historical fiction is one of my favorite genres and it was incorporated so well in the story.

The suspenseful vibe of this drama movie still feels very accurate and the plot twists, even if some were foreseeable, made the story so interesting that it could transport right into the fantastical universe!

I liked that we found out more about the grim reapers and that this time, the story happens on two plans. On one side, we have the typical story of guiding one's soul and on the other side, we have an adventurous action in which gods are implicated.

This movie also felt so peaceful at some points, letting you reflect on the characters' lives and also on your own. It is so emotional and yet it shows you the fragile beauty of life, the human suffering and yet it teaches you to appreciate the time you have on earth.

Both movies are masterpieces!

Your life choices determine your future

A movie with so many things: drama, mystery, cool action, and mythological fantasy. It also has some comedy which I truly appreciate because it makes the movie easier to watch.

The philosophy behind it is so meaningful. You can learn to be a better human by watching it. The whole universe was created with good craftsmanship. The visuals are fantastic!

I loved watching the grim reapers helping the "paragon" find his way through the afterlife and also helping him evolve even after his death. The accent is put on the life of a family after one of the brothers dies and even if he has a noble soul, he still have to pass through 7 trials corresponding to human sins. He had a complicated life just like any of us, and that's why this story is also relatable.

I also loved the relationship between Won Maek and Duk Choon, cause they reminded me of a big brother-little sister relationship. Even if Duk Choon is the youngest, I find her character to be a wise one. The actors did an amazing job portraying the dark, yet guiding aura of the grim reapers.

A Taiwanese Gem

One of the most beautiful dramas I have watched in 2020. I truly want to rewatch it soon because it was amazing. The story has a truth to it, being inspired by the tragic fate of the „ghost brides” and I was glad I could learn about something new and also be amazed by the wonderful story. It is also true that there were some aspects which did not respect the Malaysian culture, yet this fantasy show combined with adventure, romance and mystery was wonderful and I couldn't let it go. The chemistry between the leads is also spot on. It has good actors and the music is also beautiful.

Beautiful, but too short

Oh, I really liked this mini-drama! I missed seeing Lee Soo Hyuk as the main protagonist. It was my first meeting with Lee Su Ji and I can not say I was really pleased all the time, but I liked her character. I loved the cinematography and the music was ethereal. Unfortunately, Handmade Love was too short and some scenes were a bit boring, others were epic tho. The concept was so interesting and I think they could have done so much more (not just 8 episodes of 10-20 minutes).

If you are looking for something interesting and relaxing to watch, I really recommend this! It felt like a light and easy movie. And the soundtrack is magical.

This isn't  a movie about a ghost. This isn't a movie about a boy who can see ghosts. This is a movie about bullying, about violence in school. You won't find this scary, but you'll like it because this is a movie about two friends who want to bring peace upon a lost soul. This has jumpscares and blood and all of that stuff, but what is scary here is the story itself. Things like that happens and this movie wants to show you the truth about the reality.

The story isn't finished. The characters could have been a little bit more complex, but if you'll take 90 minutes from your time, you'll find that you needed this movie.

Dropped

Everything is very boring. The plot is practically non-existent, we only see how some rich people interact with each other and how the poor are mocked. There is nothing else. Also, these "high school teenagers" behave as if they are full-grown adults, actually I can't see them as 17-18-year-olds, but 25-30-year-olds because they behave very mature as if they have a thousands of responsibilities and secrets and it's not realistic at all. I don't know, maybe if it was a college drama, their behavior would still work, but not here. Some of the actors act well, but others have the same facial expression for three whole episodes, like they're confused vegetables. I had high expectations, but it's not worth your time.

It is a funny drama with some romance that will make you to wonder ”why this girl is so stupid?”. That was my opinion about her, she was stupid. ?he is overthinking everything. (in a negative way) I wanted her with the second male lead and for him I watched the whole drama. Asao Yuu is  a man who knows what he wants and knows how to get what he wants, while Tanokura is just a flower boy (her first love in some way, cute and all that stuff) who (yeah, he is good because he protects the female lead and knows how to make her happy) can not decide what he really wants. This is a good drama if you are bored, but if you are not, you can watch something else.
