It was fine but the feels isn't the same

It was really difficult to talk about this season because isn't bad. What I thought abt this S2 is that the same things that was good was bad for me as well. The good things: we could see a development of Nanno's personality and the gore and cinematography in some episodes were better than S1. Yuri's connection with Nanno gave a "fresh air" to the series too because we never thought abt the legacy of Nanno's power and the possibiliy with someone replacing her in the future. But this good things also have a bad side for me as well and I'll explain more abt it below.

What I liked abt Girl From Nowhere was how Nanno was unique and powerful, her character was the ONLY ONE like that in the season. The messages behind each episode were really good too and I remember finishing an episode with a "OMG THAT WAS AMAZING" feeling but this season I didn't have the same feeling. The stories in each episode here wasn't that strong as S1 and I think it's due to as the writers wanted to introduce a new character, the purpose of S2 wasn't passing messages throught the episodes, it was only about schoking visually more the viewers and introducing the new character. It was like a "bridge" season to connect what we already saw from Nanno in S1 with a new "nanno" in S2 that may follow her footsteps and replace her. This new perspective can be good as I said up there but the problem is in Yuri's character. Her story with Nanno is what it is interesting, not her character. For me, besides having different thoughts abt revenge her character is really boring and it's like a worse version of Nanno. I understand the perspective of wanting to create a "nanno sequence" and create more people to "continue her journey" but as Yuri isn't an interesting character I ended up not enjoying her introduction that much. I think I would prefer they working together than being enemies. The thought of having a new season focused on Yuri really worries me too lol

As the writers choose to focus more on this "new nannos" this season can also be less impacting for u If u expected something more similar to S1 (like I did) of If u wanted episodes with good messages behind. Ofc we had some good episodes in S2 but the stories in each episode wasnt strong as S1 and the messages in some episodes seemed similar to S1 as well. Because of that, we already know more or less what to expect and this give a "well it was fine i guess" feeling. We had some good episodes with some plot twists too but in general, the portray of the messages wasn't that great as S1 so this can be a disappointing thing for you, keep that in mind.

Like I said, everything in this season have two sides, it will depends on you If u like this two parts or not, it's really about what you want as a viewer. Therefore, I think that If u liked S1 and If u like Nanno you should watch S2. Just don't expect too much If u liked S1 because it can't be a little dissapointed for you like it was for me. Or not.

No development, no depth, no meaning, but nevertheless, love, I guess...

What a waste of potencial, seriously. I don't understand how they took 10 episodes with the FML being the same as she was in the beginning: a girl with an insecurity about relationships. I liked Nabi in the first episodes because for me she's a real character and her emotions are really genuine. But we're talking about a drama, and us as viewers, especially women's, wanted a good development for her. Every character in any drama needs to be developed because we have to know that these characters learn something about the difficulties they were into. What Nabi really needed was a good time ALONE, to focus on herself but it seems like the message that this drama wanted to pass to us is that even Nabi being insecure about Jaeeon`s feelings and even him hurting her in many ways she just likes him so fuck everything. Ofc we can all have insecuritys in any relationship but I think that Nabi ending up with someone she's insecure about and almost went crazy for, was really wrong. At least they could have waited a little more and then, years later, when both characters matured, they could think about being together.

And omg, it was so hard to empathize with Jaeeon. Sure, Nabi knew what she was into and Jaeeon not wanting to date isn't the problem, but a normal person who have a different thought about relationship wouldn't be chasing a girl that thinks way different than him. And beyond that, this character seemed so cynical for me... when answering Nabi's questions about the women he got involved with, he always blamed them, as if they were the ones who were chasing him. When Dohyeok tells him to stop fooling Nabi, he wonders if he could mess with her that much, as if he didn't knew he messes with her. I seriously couldn't understand him at all, even when he seemed to care about her and changed for her. Knetz blamed Song Kang`s acting but actually I think its the script fault as we saw before that Song Kang is in fact, a good actor. The character itself just don't have depth and it doesn't look genuine. For me, we end up not knowing important things about him and thats why I end up not liking him and not understand him. (and the script putting that scene with his mother to try to justify his personality was just cliche as well and not enough for me to understand him, he stills end up with no depth).

Dohyeok for the other side was perfect, but just another perfect SL. Altought I really liked him and preferred him over Jaeeon, Nabi ending up with him would be too forced because she never liked him or gave him any type of signs that she could like him. He really was there just to make Jaeeon`s character jealous. The side characters were definitely more interesting that the main characters and I really liked that we had a LGBT couple, I think that this is the first time I see a LGBT couple in a drama who isn't mainly LGBT.

Nevertheless had interesting topics such as the perspective of not wanting to date, abusive relationships and insecurities, but with main characters not having a good development and being persons who is difficult to empathize, its really hard to enjoy this. We can't say that the main leads doesn't have chemistry, because they really have an insane chemistry, but when we see how this drama is going, even the hot scenes with the main leads and even Song Kang being a really attractive character, things just won't be interesting anymore. And altought the drama tried to portraiy real things, the ending was just cliche as we had one more "problematic"guy who changed himself for the girl he likes. It’s a shame because for me this drama had a lot of potencial. Nabi`s emotions was real and I liked that Jaeeon was a different main lead with a different vision of relationship. They just wasted everything.

PS: One thing I really liked was the cinematography and the OST, they were really good. Besides that, the acting wasn't bad but not the best as well.

It’s ok, nothing amazing

I understand the whole Hell/Paradise concept and this was ok for me but at the same time as they were in a isolated island, they couldn’t do much and the dates for me was pretty boring, especially the hotel ones.

Plus, I found difficult to like the cast and only liked a few people. I also think that the cast didn’t have the much of chemistry together and the final couples didn’t excited me at all. It seemed like Hyunjoong liked Jia more than her likes him. Sehoon and Jihyun could be cute but his attitude isn’t cute at all. Jintaek and Soyeon could also be amazing because I do think they have chemistry but idk I just don’t like the guy. AND OMG I’M NOT EVEN GOING TO TALK ABOUT SIHUN BECAUSE HE WAS SO DUMB! I actually think the show gave too much screentime for the wrong people because OMG Yewon and Junsik were SO UNDERRATED that it hurts! And Yewon BEST GIRL seriously I just don’t understand why all the guys wasn’t chasing her.

Well talking not about the good points, I do think the show can be exciting because we tend to guess who is going to be paired with in each episode. And the other good point is that the episodes it’s not the long and the hosts don’t talk that much all of the time (I watched others shows and omg the hosts talked A LOT)

So yeah. For me it’s a watchable show because it’s a easy one to watch and if U like this kind of dating shows I do recommend this one but for me it’s not the best, actually a little weak if compared to others and I’ve seen betters (as for example, Love Catcher)

It’s not perfect but it’s interesting

I think the best thing in this drama is the main plot. It was interesting for me and each episode made me even more interested in what was happening. Some things were a little forced but I understand that it happens for the drama to move on. I also liked the scenery and some unpopular opinion but I didn’t find the CGI a big problem, it was ok for me.

The thing I didn’t like that much was the characters, most of them weren’t that interesting (I guess the best of them was Bae Doona’s character and maybe the doctor). I was a little disappointed in Gong Yoo’s character because ok HE’S HOT but being the leader of the team I expected him to be more charismatic idk. I liked him more later tho but still, didn’t love. Lee Joon’s character seemed lost in the beginning but he grows up in the story. I didn’t love him either but he was pretty good in the role. The others characters weren’t that interesting for me or were annoying. I think that a drama with 8 episodes (45/50 min each one) was too little to develop that much of characters.

Still, I recommend this one if u want something different from usual kdramas and if u are looking for something short and interesting to watch. It’s an immersive drama :)

Likeable but they messed up really hard with some things

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is an enjoyable drama, especially in the beginning. I like that they showed how normally Youngwoo can live, she can work, she can date. After all she is not a sick person. Her relationship with Junho was also one of the best things in the drama, it’s well made and it’s good to see a representation of autistic ppl dating and this not being an issue. Also, most of the characters have really great chemistry with each other, they’re really charismatic and lovable as well. Junho is one of the most perfect guys I’ve seen in a kdrama. Some cases were good too and in general the show can entertain us. I’m also very happy with the cast, love all actors and all of them did a great job. But, I must say I liked more in the beginning, after EP12..not that much. And even with these good points I talked about above, we must talk about the really serious problems that the drama have.

I love Youngwoo but we can’t deny that her character is REALLY stereotyped. She is dorky, super smart, and is put off as a different person from others. The drama really tried to put her as a “weird person” and this is contributing to the stereotypical view that people have of autistic people. (even the korean title of the drama is “weird attoney woo” which is MADNESS). I also saw a lot ppl commenting on how her autism is "docile" and that made me realize that Eunbin changed her tone voice to be more high/cute (which I really don’t understand why this was necessary). I love her, she’s a great actress, and I think this was the direction she was given to by the director, but like…why? Also, when the drama tried to bring another autistic person (EP3 and EP10), they also filled the scenes with a lot of stereotypes. Don’t get me wront, I liked both episodes, EP3 for example was really good, it just that the way they’re choosing to show and represent autistic ppl here is a turn off sometimes.

I also feel like the drama had a hard time talking about Youngwoo, her personality, likes and stuff. Everything about her is connect to the fact that she is an autistic person, and that’s because the drama is showing and talking about this too much. We know that she likes whales (it’s her hyperfocus), and that she is a strong-willed person who wants to live independently. But I wish we could’ve seen more.

I also just don’t know what the hell happened after EP12. Youngwoo breaking up with Junho was really unecessary for me. Youngwoo’s boss being sick like WHY????? And who thought it would be a great idea to put Sooyeon falling in love with Minwoo? I would’ve understood if this was put in the beginning but after all the things he said and did? We’re talking about a drama that is showing how bad society treats autistic ppl, we’re all seeing how the main lead suffers a lot with it, so what is the reason to put the main lead friend to fall in love with a guy who is an ableist? Literally, it just don’t make any sense. It’s ridiculous. I knew Minwoo would have a redemption arc later but it was TOO LATE, like literally in the last two episodes. In the end, he didn't even had a decent or well-constructed redemption arc, everything felt extremely forced.

So yeah. I think overall, it’s a entertaining show with enjoyable characters but I don’t think it’s the ideal show to lean more about autism because if you look deeply about the perspective of autism, still have a LONG way. They’re still contributing to stereotypes and misinformation. And it seems like the writers lost their way in half of the drama, which is unfortunate. It could have been a 10/10 show for me.

Definitely one of the best Jdramas I’ve ever seen!

I’m so happy that I found this one because the story, characters and the chemistry between them are SO GOOD!

First let me talk about the story. Althought simple, the plot can be very captivating and didactic. I loved Hamada Yutaro’s scenes and how they put a real representation of someone who is blind in real life! I learned a lot of things about visually impaired people in his scenes that I didn't know before, it was really interesting.

The relationship between the main leads is also beautiful. Azaka gave the "vision" for Kurokawa to see the world differently and Kurokawa himself did the same to her. Their relationship is purely based on mutual respect where both characters grow during the drama while their love also grows. I absolute love them and they’re one of my fav couples of the year. They’re too cute :(

Talking now about the characters, everyone here is likable. Maybe some ones in the first episode can be a little annoying but they grow on us later. I loved Azaka’s relationship with her family. And loved how Kurokawa’s friends embraced her easily. I also LOVE Azaka’s friends and it was good to see how different they’re from her. Azaka is omg..so cute I loved her :( She’s bright, strong and SO hardworking. I cried a lot in her scenes. And omg Kurokawa is seriously perfect. He’s sweet, caring, cute, funny, respectable. Definitely one of my fav male characters, ever.

The only few things I didn’t like that much about this drama was Azaka’s old lover in EP9 and I found things a little too rushed in EP10. Also, Shishio’s relationship with Azaka’s sister seemed a little forced because we didn’t see the grow in their relationship. But well, I still liked them together so it’s ok.

So yeah, I TOTALLY recommend this one if you’re looking for a good Jdrama. It may not be perfect for you but I think it’s impossible to not like this one.
And Koi Desu definitely become one of my fav Jdramas!

A love that I hope to have one day...

First Love is a really beautiful drama. The cinematography is perfect, the transitions of the scenes from the past to the present are very clever (although I wish they would put the year because at times it can be confusing). and most importantly: the actors' chemistry is phenomenal. I'm a fan of Satoh Takeru so I knew he would please me easily but Kido Taisei stole the series for me on several occasions. Of course, Takeru is still Takeru, an excellent actor and his chemistry with Hikari was perfect (I also love Hikari, she was amazing as always here), but we really need to praise the younger actors here. Mainly because most of the romantic scenes came from them and if they didn't convince us, it would be difficult to buy the couple further on and the overwhelming love they have for each other, something that not even years apart could destroy. They may have fallen in love with other people but as Harumichi says, it was fate for them to be together. And a love like this is really rare, that's why it's so beautiful to see. So yeah, besides Takeru and Hikari`s amazing chemistry and acting, kudos to Kido Taisei and Yagi Rakiko.

I have nothing to complain about the personality of the main leads as well. it's very easy to love both, in the past and present time, because besides being cute and fun, I felt that they were characters very close to reality. It's easy to root for their happiness. The OST was very well selected too but of course we have to highlight First Love and Hatsukoi, which are very beautiful and emotional songs, even if you have never heard these songs before. The power of both songs is so high that no matter how many times it is played in the serie, it manages to thrill us every time.

In addition to the main couple, the secondary characters were very interesting. Yae's relationship with her mother was a beautiful thing, and later her relationship with her son too. Another thing I liked was his involvement with that female dancer. I found their scenes very beautiful and inspiring.

My only "negative comment" for the drama is that I wanted more scenes of the main leads together in the present time. They basically only stay together in the last few minutes, which makes us wanting more, because the drama has shown us several times how cute they were together in adolescence.

Anyway, in general it was a very captivating and beautiful drama to watch. I believe that even those who don't like Jdramas will be enchanted here. and I hope that with that, more people will be interested in Jdramas because there are several amazing ones and I feel that few are acclaimed.

PS: I'm looking forward to seeing Kido Taisei in future works, I completely fell in love with the actor here.

Now this is how you do an interesting and good dating show!

Love Catcher has one of the most interesting concept I’ve watched in dating shows, that’s why i’m a big fan since Season 2. This whole idea of choosing between love or money is really good and make us feel suspicious about every one until the end. Throughout the entire show, you will be gripped. Also, altough the concept is the same in every season, Love Catcher in Bali made a lot of changes, which is good because it shows how the production team it’s thinking about surprising the viewers even more, and also makes the show more dynamic compared to other seasons.

Most of the participants is likeable and it’s easy to shipp them, especially because the show it’s always creating environment for this. I also like how the show tries to form different couples sometimes because this made everything more dynamic and we’re able to see differents pair of couples, even if we don’t shipp them. The scenario was also beautiful and they had a lot of great dates. The hosts were kind of annoying sometimes but in general they were funny. I liked them.

In conclusion, for me this is one of the best dating shows in Korea and I wish more people could watch. It’s a great mix of romance and mystery. If you never watched please give a chance!

PS: I can affirm that this season and Season 2 are my favorite ones.

Simple but really enjoyable!

Gosh, I must say that Japan romance/comedy dramas are my favorites nowadays, more than Korean or Chinese ones.

Animals is really a good example of a drama with a simple plot but with good execution. I really don’t have bad things to say about this drama because most of the things were pretty good. The plot is nice, the characters are really fun and even the love triangle didn’t bother me that much, actually it was ok. So if you’re looking for a good Japanese romcom, I really recommend this one!

Umi is a really great character, not the annoying type, I loved her. And she really grew up over the episodes. Kazuo is SO MY TYPE OMG, I think some people might find him annoying but for me even his imperfections were perfect lol Also besides being childish sometimes, I really liked the way he treated Umi. I felt in love with this actor as well. Keisuke was also nice, altough he’s really the second male lead type, always nice and perfect. Hina was also nice. I liked that she didn’t turned out to be a bitchy with Umi. Satoru could have been more annoying but hopefully he wasn’t. I pity him a little because it seems that he liked/likes Keisuke.

The chemistry between the cast was also really good. All characters had good chemistry with each other, although my fav pairings were of course Umi with Kazuo, and Umi with and her sister. Umi and Kazuo had an amazing chemistry together omg, they just matched each other.

I think the only thing I didn’t enjoyed that much was the last episode, I wish we could have seen more scenes of the main couple being together ? I just don’t understand why they had to put this thing of Kazuo wanting to live overseas. But well, on the other hand, they gave a little more of development for the character and showed that he also wanted to do something with his life.

PS: The episodes were so short omg, it was so good that I wish it was a little longer :(

Charming but the inconsistent plot and pacing made the drama less wonderful

Silent had a great opportunity to make an amazing drama about Sou's hearing impairment, they could have focused on that and shown Sou's development about his disability, also developing the main couple. I know the drama made an effort to show the prejudices that the hearing impaired people suffer in society in some episodes but I feel like the drama wasted too much time on less important things in the beginning and then tried to rush everything later.

Seriously, what the relationship between Tsumogi and Minato was about? For me it didn't add much to this drama, only took precious time to develop and show most important things. The development of Tsumogi's relationship with Sou was completely affected by this and was poorly done and rushed later. Also this whole thing made the relationship of the three of them so awkward to watch. Tsumogi broke up with Minato but was already going out with Sou in two episodes later because the drama had to develop the main couple relationship. But for a character who said who was in love with Minato, it was so rushed. I felt awkward watching some scenes of Tsumogi and Sou because the pacing was just off and it felt too rushed (altought the actors chemistry makes me find them cute together). Also I think that the writer made things too subjective and it was difficult to understand the characters feelings, especially Tsumogi's and Sou. I could see her connection with Sou but I couldn't see her love for any of the characters in the beginning, especially for Minato, even the character saying she loved him.

Not to mention that besides liking the characters, they do bothered me sometimes. They take completely selfish attitudes and seem not to care about the feelings of others besides themselves. In their heads they think they are taking good choices but in the end, the decisions they make are nothing but selfish decisions. Minato breaks up with Tsumogi without caring about what she thinks and even says that Sou could get back with her, without considering Sou's opinions of this. Sou already being with Tsumogi, decides to want to get away from her because it would be too difficult for both of them. Tsumogi was also a character that annoyed me (even more than the others) because sometimes she just said thinks without thinking and I was like GIRL? how can you say this to Sou?

One more thing that bothered me about the drama is the importance given to the voice by the script. I understand the connection that Tsumogi and Sou have with music, and both characters got closer because of that. But I feel that the script gave too much importance for this and made it seem as if the characters didn't have anything more important in themselves. Tsumogi became obsessed with wanting to hear Sou's voice, the same thing happened to Sou. It's normal to want to hear the voice of the one you love, especially since in the past relationship of both they listened to music together, made calls and etc, but I felt that the script dragged this theme too much until the end and made me think that the characters only liked each other because of these details. As if their personality itself wasn't even important.

But besides this all, the drama do have their positive things. The chemistry between the characters are good, we had some good episodes with beautiful scenes and touching writing (especially the ones with Nana and Sou), the OST also is very good (probably one of my fav of this year), and the acting of the actors were very convincing. I talked about the characters annoying me but they aren't essential bad characters. I loved Sou. Tsumogi annoyed me but I felt that in the end she changed a little bit. Minato and Nana were both characters I really liked in the end too, they were so charming and cute for me. I also liked Sou's sister and Tsumogi's brother.

Silent isn't a bad drama. The characters are charming, they have good chemistry and the acting is amazing but unfortunately, I feel like the writer took too many bad choices in the drama that made the plot inconsistent and made the drama have a bad pacing. It's impossible to hide the fact that the scriptwriter did not seem to know how to develop the theme and got lost halfway through. I don't think it's an awful drama at all but it was disappointing in many things and had so much more potential. In the end seemed like the writer did not understand her own work.

PS: Also, what the scriptwriter said about not wanting the drama to be marketed internationally was so wrong. I understand her in parts but you're writing a drama about overcoming the boundaries with communication and yet gatekeeping people who doesn't speak the language and not wanting to other people besides Japanese to watch it? What a terrible impact to give to the drama.

Almost a masterpiece

Not me has so much positive things, omg. First, the direction of the scenes, the OST, the development of the main characters, everything is well done. The topics addressed are important for today's society and they deal very well with the topics. There are also symbologies in some scenes that makes everything so poetic.

The couples are also good. First OffGun, as always, had an amazing chemistry together and their acting were on point. I've known them since Theory of Love and for me they just outdo themselves. I also loved both characters, Sean and White/Black. Their scenes were beautiful. But for me, YokDan were scene stealers in a lot of moments. FIRST WAS JUST AMAZING!! He threw himself completely into the character and it didn't even feel like he was playing a character. Everything felt so true. And oh my god, YokDan scenes were perfect! The relationship of an activist and a policeman, the morals of both characters and how they handled things was perfect. The scene when Yok draws Dan, it was a symbology and a clear reference to the painting of Lucifer being expelled from heaven, and it blowed my mind how they even thought about doing this because if fit so well with the characters, it was just amazing. I also loved how this couple revolved around art, it made all their scenes look extremely poetic to me. And honestly, if OffGun weren't the main leads, First and Gawin would have stolen the scene completely and would have outshined the main leads from the series.

Now talking about the things I didn't liked that much, its a few things but yeah. The relationship of Gram and Eugene seemed so forced. I didn't feel chemistry between them at all and they were just flat. Its funny because I shipped Gram with EVERYONE but Eugene lol. Todd`s ending was so cringe to me lol I actually thought it was a little strange that nobody died in this series because they were dealing with heavy topics and strong people so the ending it was kind of...too light I think.

Also, 14 episodes felt short...episode 13 and 14 seemed SO RUSHED. YokDan`s scene was beautiful but like...a little abrupt. Dan just said sorry, Yok punched him and thats it? lol We should have seen Dan's perspective about things, him leaving the police and a little more of a conversation about everything that happened. I know this couple doesn't need necessarily to speak because both of them have THAT CHEMISTRY but come on, Dan betrayed them and Yok almost died. So yeah, I wish we had more scenes to give a perfect ending for them, as they deserved. But I have to say..even with this unsatisfactory ending, they stole the show in the last episode. A lot of people were disappointed about the politic thing but for me it was fine and even realistic. They will have to fight for a long time because the problem is in the system so the open ending seemed right. But I do agree that maybe we could have seen more things about Tawi and stuff.

So yeah, for me Not me it was.a big and satisfying surprise and unfortunately a little underrated. But I do hope people will give a chance and watch because its really deserving!

Being obsessed by this drama is the only correct answer

This is one of the dramas until now that I found myself most anxiously awaiting the episodes on a weekly basis. The story captivates you from the beginning and the characters are super interesting, in addition to an excellent performance by the main actors. The female lead of this drama is incredible and it’s very easy to sympathize, root and adore her during the drama. We crave for her revenge and gosh it’s amazing seeing the characters paying for their wrongdoings. The male lead is also not far behind and both characters exude strength, intelligence and respect, both with each other but also with the people around them. Fang Fei and Duke su were an iconic couple for me. Also Duke Su OMG this character made me go insane a lot of times like…he just has this sensuality that is crazy. On the other hand, the antagonists are selfish, annoying and unable to see others being happy. But the story does try to show us that besides all of that, these characters also had/have feelings and were destroyed by someone or something.

The main couple has incredible chemistry and we could see the romantic and sexual tension between both characters. I felt that their relationship was very mature and neither of them dragged the other, on the contrary. Duke Su was an ideal male lead for someone like Fang Fei and I didn't feel like he judged her even when he suspected her identity. And when he finds out more about her, he embraces her story and her way of dealing with things. One of my favorite phrases of his was "In the past life and the present life, live to the fullest. Never compromise yourself to become someone else just to please others, including me”, this made me 100% sure that the character was incredible and deserving of her love.

I need to point out that despite the relationship between Wanning and Yurong being really toxic, I found their scenes super engaging and the actors gave a great performance, especially in the final episodes.

For me, this drama had a good story, incredible characters and excellent chemistry between them. The story progress quite well too and I didn’t feel like it was draggy. Besides, the direction also caught my attention in a positive way, although some people may find the close-ups scenes a bit cringe (I thought it was a bit cringeworthy at times too, but in general I thought it made the drama and the characters more immersive). But in so many positive points, if I had to pick out some flaws it would be that I found the last episodes were a bit rushed, everything practically happens in episode 40. Also, some deaths in episode 40 was kind unnecessary to me. Finally, I do wish we had more scenes of the main couple because I felt that when both of them were finally in love we had too little scenes of them together.

So yeah in general I really recommend this drama. It was my obsession and for sure it’s going to be in my list of one of the best dramas of the year!

PS: I’m totally in love with Xing Yue like GOSH why he is so attractive? I don’t know if I will find another character that attractive this year lol

Unexpectedly good!

This drama really surprised me. The story is simple but quite interesting and manages to hold us sufficiently to keep watching and the characters are very charismatic. The “error” idea with Sangwoo was really clever. The chemistry between the actors is good and in general I thought the story was developed satisfactory within the limits of the drama. The main actors were really good and cute together, and they fit their characters. I didn’t feel a awkward performance at all between them.

Of course, the fact that it's only 20 minutes in 8 episodes means that the characters won’t be exactly super well-developed and we won’t get deep into their story and their emotions, but for me the amount they showed here was fine enough for me to buy their story and their romance. Unfortunately, I think Korean dramas will always have this kind of problem because the duration of each episode is too small for having a good development but among all Korean bls I've watched, this was one was definitely one of my favs and even though it wasn't perfect, it came pretty close. I thought the ending was satisfying and it was a good conclusion.

Overall I really liked it!

Beyond Toxic

They wasted all the actors' good acting with this script full of romanticizations.

First of all, Type is extremely homophobic, a consequence of child abuse he suffered, and mistreats Tharn several times. This character really needed a psychological help but he got none. I feel like a lot of people hated him for the way he treated Tharn and loved Tharn because the show keeps putting him as a "cute" character, but to me, he was just another abuser who went through Type's life. And worst of all, the script was romanticizing all of this.

Abuse is not just about the sexual act and Tharn abuses Type in several ways. The first one was in the first episode, with the excuse that he was "paying back" for Type's homophobia. Type’s friend even make a joke about rape. Later, even though Type sets limits on their relationship, Tharn harasses Type in the bathroom, and even though the situation is extremely invasive, the script put as something sexy. You can see that the writer wanted to make this scenes “hot” by the songs they choose to put in the moment. Even when Type tells Tharn that he was abused, in the bar scene, Tharn angrily press Type to the wall and try to kiss him (when he doesn’t want to). What a nice way to treat a boyfriend you know has been sexually abused isn't it?
I won’t even talk about the secondary couple because they’re also extremely problematic.

Many put the fact that the TharnType is "real" and “adult" as something to be acclaimed for and completely ignore this whole disgusting romanticization that happens to the characters' attitudes. I watched this serie until the end and despite bringing good chemistry and acting from the main leads, the series is really problematic and it’s not something to be acclaimed for. The writer didn't even bother to approach the serious themes (as a Type’s abuses) with delicacy. It’s just too toxic, insensitive and problematic.

Not for anyone but definitely one of the best dramas of the year

First, D.P. is definitely not an easy drama to digest. For those who like happy endings or things well resolved in the end, D.P. will not be interesting. I believe that this show wanted to portray a more grotesque side of a reality where things will not always work out and it will take time for things to be resolved. Having said that, I really liked the plot of this drama. For me it was so interesting, different and well made. I especially liked how they showed a negative side of the SK army that although I can't say that all the things mentioned in this drama happens in real life, I honestly don't doubt that at least some are real. And was interesting as well especially because us, as viewers who are consuming content from korean artists, constantly see the SK army being put as something awesome and here we saw a different portray than usual so it was really interesting.

The cinematography was amazing and I enjoyed the OST as well. The actors was *chef kiss* AMAZING. All of them did an amazing job in their roles. The main characters had chemistry and completed each other. And the actor who was the “nerd” from the army was seriously amazing. I am extremely happy that Hae In agreed to be part of this drama because I was tired of seeing people saying that he was only a “melo/romance actor” and I think after that, he showed his good skills in acting and how he can act in different roles. I just wish they had at least closed the story about Joon Ho because I feel that the relationship with his mother was too important to be forgotten in the story especially him being the ML.

D.P. is an amazing drama which brings up sensitive issues and a different perspective of the SK army that we are not used to see. With captivating characters and an impeccable direction scene, we dive headfirst into this story and are entertained at every moment. The ending of Joon Ho maybe becoming a deserter or just showing that he's going to rebel against the army was perfect. As well as the scene of the other soldier shooting at others to show that "something needed to be done", because yes, there comes a time when they start to think that they can no longer count on anyone but themselves.

I really hope there is a sequel to at least tie up some things that were left open, but I’ll understand If this is the really end because as i said above, in reality, things are not resolved easily and many end up not really being. Recommend this 100%!
