Best Squad Groups
I made this list so I could put together all the dramas I've watched with the best squad groups I've loved. It could be a group of best friends, workmates, or even just a group of people that have the best chemistry that are always hanging out.
-
1. Crash Landing on You
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
In this drama, the fl ends up stranded in North Korea and throughout her time period there she meets the ml and his squad members in the military. I loved to see not only the romance between the ml and fl (which was simply amazing and breathtaking), but how she discovered best friends in North Korea as well. When they all ended up in South Korea together, and they all gave us that reunion, it was so perfect. Especially after seeing her all alone in her "home", but as soon as they all reunited with each other, it was like her family came back to her, and I can't describe this without physically becoming emotional, that's how big and real their connection transferred through their amazing acting.

2. Goblin
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
This drama involves reincarnation as well as bulgasal, but the drama was definitely different. It has a goblin who used to be a warrior, a grim reaper who used to be a king, a restaurant owner who used to be the warrior's sister and grim reaper's wife, the goblin's bride, and the goblin's long time family member. The whole dynamic is what made the drama even better, because as strange as it was, it was such an amazing group of people. I love how in dramas like this where they have this tragic past but then in the next life, before they realize who they truly are, they form a tightly connected bond that is mixed with hilarious, lighthearted, and just heartwarming moments that you can't help but love and treasure. Honestly, all the actors were so amazing and had such fantastic chemistry that when they were apart, it just wasn't the same. I will forever love all of them.

3. Immortal
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
This drama dealt with a lot of reincarnation, and through each reincarnation, the same people would meet again and again, just simply drawn to each other. I loved how different yet similar their past lives, present lives, future and more future lives became, and how they just reconnected in such different circumstances. The chemistry amongst these actors was no joke, it was completely heart warming and gentle. I was trying to explain about the different lives, and I just couldn't. It's so confusing, even as I know what happened, but to word it makes it feel like a blubbering mess. I loved all their characters in every life they had, but the present life was the most heartwarming. With the ml as a bulgasal, the fl reincarnated, his wife reincarnated to the fl's sister, their son reincarnated as an orphan child, his father as a detective, to the fortune teller as mother figure. It's so strange yet beautiful, because each life they lived, it seemed like one person changed slightly to the better. How the fortune teller was this enemy and then becoming their closest friend and mother. I loved how the daughter and son were always having a tightly close connection, whether they started as siblings, to mother and son, to just best friends that were as close as family. How the father was always this heartwarming father figure, and how the main leads had this connection that in no matter what life they lived, it never wavered. I loved all the characters. And the way they created this warmth when all of them were together, it was simply amazing.

4. Suspicious Partner
Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes
This was such an amazing drama, with the most perfect squad. Honestly, I never thought of the term "squad" until this drama. Their whole dynamic was so perfect. I loved all the meetings they had and how they were always arguing and just being this whole family that made me smile and laugh and just feel such warmth.
-
5. Proposal Daisakusen
Japanese Drama - 2007, 11 episodes
This drama was about how the ml goes back in time to the past and tries to make things better in order to confess his feelings to his one true love. Throughout these time travel experiences, he'd go back to his high school and college days where it involved the girl he loved, as well as a group of other best friends they always spent their time with. Honestly, the connection between these five made me heartbroken most of time just because how happy and full of life they were. It was so beautiful, and I felt so envious for them to have each other, especially at a time I wished I had best friends just like them. I loved how different each character was and it made them all seem like the most imperfect perfect family.

6. Another Miss Oh
Korean Drama - 2016, 18 episodes
I loved the close little group of the ml's brother, sister, best friend, his brother's girlfriend, and the fl. Every time they all gathered together it was just simply hilarious and heartwarming. I just loved all the chemistry they created, and how they just turned into this big family together. I also loved the fl's parents and amazing and caring they were, which when I describe it in those words don't amount to anything, but they had specific ways that were not regular in k-drama, and made me feel the love they had for their daughter. This drama was simply amazing.

7. My Mister
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
My Mister was an amazing series, and the chemistry with all the characters was nothing but that. I loved the chemistry and connection between the ml and fl, their friendship and love, and just the way they are drawn to each other was simply beautiful and I honestly don't think I've watched such a connection between two leads quite like these two. Then you bring in the ml's brothers, and all of the people from the local pub they go to, and it's just this heartwarming and beautiful group of people that you don't want to separate because it hurts to think about. I truly loved all the actors and thought they all had amazing chemistry for this drama.

8. Thirty But Seventeen
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
This drama dealt with the two main leads being stuck in the past when they're in the present in an emotional sense. The two leads had such beautiful chemistry, it was just perfect. And then you threw in his nephew and his nephew's friends, and the housekeeper... Honestly I loved all of them so much, it was the drama that made me fall in love with Ahn Hyo Seop's acting, and honestly it wasn'just him, but all the actors. They had the best chemistry together and just connected and it felt like home.

9. It’s Okay to Not Be Okay
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This drama had the ml, the fl, and the ml's brother. And honestly, that whole dynamic with the three of them was just so perfect. They were this cute little family. I loved how she truly loved his brother and treated him as her own brother, it was just perfect and I get emotional when I think about these three together.
-
10. Mr. Queen
Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes
I wasn't sure about putting this drama in this list, as there wasn't a big dynamic like the other dramas I know of. But in the end, I chose to add it as I loved not only the fl and ml (or ml/ml?), but also the fl's court lady and maid, as well as the royal palace's chef. When they came in the picture, I just couldn't not add this drama to the list. I also loved how later when the king leaves the castle, they all reunite out of the palace, and idk, I felt like it really solidified their relationship and connection, and showed how close they were.

11. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
This drama was so heartwarming, and the best "slice of life" k-drama I've watched. The chemistry between the leads was so perfect, and I loved the fl's best friends, and her whole weightlifting team. With all these characters, it turned the drama into something amazing.
-
12. Oh My Venus
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
This drama was such a sweet and hilarious drama I really loved it. What made me put this drama on the list is the connection between the fl, the ml, and the ml's friends who are in in boxing or wrestling, and the bond between the four of them was simply heartwarming. I just loved all of them together, so it was saddening whenever they'd not be around. It was so perfect.
-
13. Romance is a Bonus Book
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
This drama had a lot of friendships in the workplace, and although it wasn't necessarily a squad or group of friends that always were hanging out with each other, I felt like the interaction gave this warmth and bond that couldn't help you not fall in love with them. I loved how slowly they created these connections, and it's not until later you realize how much you love these group of people and you'd be heartbroken if any one of them left.
-
14. Nevertheless,
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I loved the connection between all the art students. They all had their own story but I loved their interaction with each other. It was hilarious and heartwarming at the same time.
-
15. Our Blues
Korean Drama - 2022, 20 episodes
This drama had so many different stories, but the stories connected each person on the island to another and together they created this sort of family that made you almost want to cry. I loved how heartwarming, innocent and pure their love was for one another. And the loyalty was amazing. They would go through hell for one another, and I couldn't help but be drawn to them and feel envious of them. I will forever love all of them <3.
