ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo might be the leading man of Go Min Si in a new Hong Sisters K-drama.
On January 10, Cha Eun Woo's agency officially responded to the idol actor's casting news for Hong Sisters' new K-drama.
According to media outlets, Cha Eun Woo has been picked to be Go Min Si's male lead in a new K-drama by famous writers Hong Sisters (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran).
Fantagio confirmed that Cha Eun Woo received the offer to star in the new K-drama. The agency also shared that the ASTRO member is positively considering the offer to be Go Min Si's male lead. The agency also revealed that Cha Eun Woo is currently busy filming for his other upcoming K-drama project.
According to reports, the new K-drama of the Hong Sisters will be directed by Oh Choong Hwan. The three previously worked together in the hit tvN K-drama Hotel del Luna. There were rumors that the new K-drama would be the second season of Hotel del Luna but it turned out to be another K-drama that the writers and director will work with.
Meanwhile, Go Min Si has already confirmed her casting for this much anticipated new work of the Hong Sisters.
Cha Eun Woo is currently busy filming for his upcoming Netflix original K-drama The Wonder Fools. The idol actor will work alongside Park Eun Bin, Kim Hae Sook, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Sung Jae, and Son Hyun Joo in the upcoming series.
The ASTRO member is currently appearing in the variety program Rented in Finland with actors Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hwi, and Kwak Dong Yeon.
Last year, Cha Eun Woo led the MBC K-drama Wonderful World with Kim Nam Joo, Kim Kang Woo, Im Se Mi, Won Mi Kyung, and Kang Ae Shim.
Aside from being active in the acting industry, Cha Eun Woo remains a member of his K-pop boy group ASTRO.
