Both are historical dramas and have an intelligent and strong FL who solves the difficulties and hardships of her family.

Strong female leads both are trying to own their own life and destiny. They try not to rely on the men in their lives and end up opening their own businesses. You can't help but fall in love with all the side characters in both series.

in both FL are running multiple business to support their respective families. TLIBH has a mystery to solve while BA is mostly regarding Business and dealing with Extended family. The FL in TLBH is like a tomboy which is fun to see especially how she deals with rude people. In short both are good.

Its not a costume drama but if your looking for FL who was rich then became poor then she started her career from the bottom and back to the top, then you might like this.

Same ML but in different period settings.

The drama is entertaining as HYT really played the character, Gu Yanxi perfectly well.

Both feature smart, strong heroines in historical slice-of-life stories. Both contain great romances too.

Smart and business-savvy female lead. Both FL's have calm temperament and approach their problem and family matters/concerns with a composed attitude. Both are also have good relationship with their grandfather's. The male leads are both dependable men and apparently common with the double identity trope. The ML's hold high positions in society but have a complicated distant connection to the palace/imperial family. In short, both dramas are about, double identities (male lead) and business/merchants (female lead).

Both have smart and strong ML and FL. ML is secretly royalty and both are power couples that love and support each other. No annoying love triangles (if I remember correctly). If you liked one, you’ll definitely like the other. Overall very similar dramas!

Quite similar in main aspects, FL family got downed because of problem with government and FL took over the household affair, with sweat and tear leading the family to be one of the most wealthy family. Also, ML also join in political. HOWEVER, thought NGCS is a masterpiece and very very aspiring, it's needed brain power to watch, BIA is simpler.

Similar type of FL, with a similar mystery/ political intrigue plot hidden at the core. Similar story and characters throughout.
