Both dramas:
- are about comic book characters
- have characters becoming self-aware and trying to alter the comic's plot
- have leads who fall in love despite the comic's plot not originally intending them to
- have a FL who is not supposed to be the lead of the comic
- have a ML who is originally just a side character of the comic but becomes more integral after tampering with the plot
- have a smart FL who tries to dissect what is going to happen next

In I Want to Live to the Finale, a woman accidentally enters a (comic) book world and is replaces a character who falls in love with the ML.
While in Night of Love With You, our FL is usually assigned to enter these worlds, they share the similarities in the sense that both FLs in IWTLTTF and NOLWY are not from the book worlds. They both fall in love with male counterparts in the book worlds.

In both dramas the story keeps resetting so the main character can survive the incident. In Night of Love With You the female lead tries to finish the comic by putting the story back on track after entering the story in the wrong character. In The Night of the Comet II the male lead tries to survive getting killed by figuring out who the killer is.
