Red is for errors and Jang Jae Young.
I found out about Semantic Error TV show adaptation by total coincidence while browsing YTB and it was the best coincidence of this year, because I fell for Park & Park duo so quickly I almost got a whiplash. It is not as *spicy* as the manhwa, but it still has such magic that draws you into it... So I'm probably gonna re-watch it for the fourth time during this weekend.N O T S P O I L E R F R E E / N O M A J O R S P O I L E R S
Chu Sang Woo loves routine, loves things that make sense and is not afraid to go against the flow. People may thing he's a robot, in reality he just wants to live his life in peace. That being said, ratting out on his team matesnot helping him with their final project was probably not the smartest idea - he did not count with one of the freeloaders taking a revenge on him, because now said freeloader can't graduate. The error's name reveals to be Jang Jae Young, graphic design senior, which decides to repay Sangwoo by making his life miserable by constantly crashing his schedule and habits. But in the end, he also crashes into his heart and Sangwoo can't get rid of this bug no matter how hard he tries...
My unhealed trauma freaking loves enemies to lovers trope. Semantic Error is definitely not the first TV show with this trope I've seen, yet it became my no. 1 among Korean BL dramas, sharing first place with We Best Love (chinese) and Sotus (thai) in "enemies to lovers" category.
It's good to see that Korean BLs are stepping up their game. There's been demand for BL dramas for a while, while Thai dramas are thriving, Korea is still kinda shy, but slowly getting there. Semantic Error is proof of that, it has great cast, great OST, good writing, I love the details and how they follow the manhwa. Seoham and Jaechan chamistry is something, that makes this drama *chef's kiss*, because they have awesome chemistry not only on screen, but also off screen and I'm really hoping they will consider making season 2 when Seoham gets out of the army. As far as I know, both of them are interested in that idea.
I'm also really happy that SE got KNK and Dongkiz (DKZ) the attention both boy groups deserved. Finally after all those years! Watcha is slowly putting subtitles on all their SE videos, which are worth watching, there's also a photo book coming out on March 22nd, just google Semantic Error Photo Essay Book... Already ordered mine and can't wait to put my hands on it. :)

An Error Not To Watch This Sooner, My B
I didn't know this series was happening. Which seriously sucks XD because it was really good! Korea continues into BL and it keeps getting better and better.First off. Jae Young during the first part of this series was so extra! Dude's going a longgggg way to get "revenge" lmao. He bought an APARTMENT to be near Sang Woo just to annoy him. When it's literally his fault that he failed the class XD I wouldn't of put his name down either freeloader! However, his character gets way better. Once we see him stick up for Sang Woo because of the drunk af guy, the whole tone of the show changed. Jae Young starts falling HARD. Even telling off his own friend for making fun of Sang Woo because he's just "being meticulous" with the project. Oop, what a change. He's also not too pushy. It's actually Sang Woo who makes the first bigger moves towards a relationship which was nice.
Sang Woo at first was boring. Which is the point, but I was afraid he'd continue on like that. Nope, not at all! It's shown that he likes/is attracted to Jae Young pretty much immediately. Which was cool to see. There was also a lack of emphasis on the fact that these are 2 guys liking each other. Sang Woo starts to loosen up a lot around Jae Young. Like when he starts not wearing his hat, the hair reveal was so funny. Jae Young's heart skipped a beat that day lol. Then he starts drawing him and stops wearing red XD. I also gotta says these two's height difference was adorable. That scene though at the bar made my heart flutter. Jae Young asking if Sang Woo finds him attractive. And while looking at his LIPS he says he's really good looking. Then the back and forth kissing, UGH! Thank you "Semantic Error"! It's that and the interlaced hand holding for meeee.
Final side notes. The visuals in this show were insane but cool. Also the soundtrack was pretty good. Let's keep supporting these KBL's so they keep getting made!

A Few Errors in this Too-short Drama
The story is simple enough, enemies turned lovers in this case, Chu Sang Woo (played by Jae Chan of Dongkiz) was wronged Jang Jae Young (Park Seo Ham) who left Sang Woo doing all the work on a school project. He files a complaint against him which means he can’t graduate. This not graduating business is not resolved and the plot advances to the revenge portion of drama where Jae Young taunts Jang Jae Young with red track suits and coffee hoarding. Until at some point Jang Jae Young’s feelings change, and he starts to like this uptight, rigid programmer. Long story 8 episodes short, love blooms between lines of computer code and graphic design.I was surprised by how good Jae Chan’s acting was since this was his first role. There was no stiffness or awkwardness in his performance. He could have played a one-dimensional character but he had some great subtlety in his dialogue and visuals. I really commend him for taking on this role. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in Korea and I know that there is not much tolerance for the LGBTQ community. Even veteran actors like Park Sung-woong took grief for his performance in Method. It’s a breath of fresh air to see more diverse dramas being made. I would love one day not to see a BL label though. Love is love.

Refreshing, simple and cute
From the moment I started watching the first episode, I knew this would be another one of those BLs with the little scenes worth repeating over and over again. Though the storyline is nothing new, I absolutely loved the polar-opposite characters of Jae Young and Sang Woo - seeing their interactions made me laugh, smile and die every single time.Definitely a step-up from the previous Korean BLs I've seen, probably even surpassing To My Star in my opinion. It doesn't help that Jae Young is so charismatic in all areas, and Sang Woo is adorable even when he tries to act mad or grumpy. Just the perfect dose of cuteness and fangirling moments that every BL watcher could hope for.
If you're still reading this, don't know why you're still here - go watch it now!

Love on the Spectrum
I have a huge soft spot for this series. Maybe it's because I'm an autistic adult but it makes me squee that Jaeyoung respects that Sangwoo doesn't like to be touched unexpectedly and warns that he's about to kiss.Sangwoo is absolutely coded autistic. He needs routine to thrive, has a strong sense of justice, sensory issues, can fixate on one thing, etc. It's a relatively stereotypical autistic depiction, and yet it's not stereotypical to the point of getting it wrong.
Sangwoo is thrown by Jaeyoung but also adapts. He has fixed views, but is more flexible than he allows himself to be. He grows over the story and yet is still himself.
Jaeyoung was a complete dick to start with, but he realised he was a complete dick and tries to reverse this.
Jaeyoung and Sangwoo seem like an odd couple, but that's true of many real life couples. Perhaps I'm being too biased because I love this series, but it feels believable that they would grow close despite their differences. They complement each other.
Sangwoo's confession to Jaeyoung ("You're like an error. Bad personality and have no sense of time. You're also capricious and irrational.") is the sweetest and most romantic moment in any BL I've watched.
This gets 10/10 overall and especially for the three most standout scenes:
The drunk kiss
Sangwoo's confession
The end post credit scene
The post credit scene is the most realistic depiction of two people in a relationship. They are comfortable in each other's presence. Jaeyoung just leans against Sangwoo as the latter works. They're supportive of each other, even with disagreements. They sense each other ("We won't finish today if you keep looking at me like that.") The scene shows what a real non toxic relationship should feel like.
Semantic Error is my comfort watch series.

Overall I absolutely enjoyed it and though there are some parts of the manhwa I wish they had added like the detail that Jaeyeong is in fact bi and not just some straight dude and also that he has a twin it was still a great watch and I totally plan on
rewatching it again.

Korean BL is a gift that keeps on giving.
Even though it is a cliched enemy-lover story but we all know how exciting those kinds of storylines are and Semantic Error reaffirmed that with its delivery. Having a bisexual lead fall in love with a robotic and stuck up maybe-straight man was thrilling and the visuals of both actors was enchanting. I was stuck on it and I have rewatched it, you should see it. The kisses were not the 'chu' kind, you can feel the chemistry and the passionate atmosphere between the leads. No toxic person here just two smart and handsome boys in love and selfless about it with an interesting support cast as well. Go ahead and binge, you won't regret it!Cet avis était-il utile?
One Of The Best Korean BL Drama In 2022! Wish It Was Longer
I finally completed watching this Drama I started watching when it first aired in Mid February 2022,I did not have alot of time to watch alot of Dramas at the begenning of the year so I put this on hold and I am
so glad I finished watching it. This Drama is so freaking cute and wish there were longer episodes.
I feel that the writer was testing the waters with the style as it was more cautious with not over loading too much romance.
This drama is watchable for anyone into BL drama, it's also recommendable for first time BL fans.
The two MLs are opposite of each other, one is a fun and happy cheerful and handsome Designer while the othe
is a serious bossy type but cute and over thinks everything that he think the other lead is ERROR! ERROR!!
But the only error was not having more episodes, it was the right amount of everything. Sometimes watching these
clean romantic shows are just the ingredients we need to laugh a little.
My ratings at the beginning was 8/10 and after finishing I gave it a full 10/10
because the only Semantic ERROR was not making more and longer episodes.

a must-watch for all BL lovers <3
Everything about this series is perfect! The simple story line, the cast, the OST, every moment watching this is bliss! The butterflies were real and every shot were perfection. It really drags you into that moment and that is a definite must for a BL series. I'm definitely hoping for a season 2 but until then, I will surely re-watch this series for the nth time. Kudos to everyone who made this BL soooo exceptional and I also hope that Korean BL series will have longer episodes such as Thai BLs. Nonetheless, I still love them both!Cet avis était-il utile?
Stop this was so cute!
This was an adorable, bite-size drama.Story: This was a fun watch. Cool concept and overall entertaining. I did want more from this, I felt like it ended right when it got good. I wish we had an epilogue episode or something.
Acting/Casting: Perfect. I loved everyone! They all played their parts well and I could really feel the chemistry between the main characters!
Music/Visual: This part was well executed. I loved the special effects in each episode. They were such a nice touch!
Re-watch value: I can definitely see myself coming back to watch this one day!

Work of ART!
First of all...i want to take a moment of silence for the people that didn't discover this gem yet! 🙏I keep coming back to it for the Nth time, and each time i discover new things I haven't seen before and enjoy it even more than the last time. i have no idea how it is possible. Seriously, this one is THE Korean BL genre work of art. I mean, "To my star" will always have a special place in my heart, ngl... But this one is right there, a small step higher on the ladder. And i wish so badly for a second season, but I swear "To my star" makes me fear it though :)) Everyone in this drama created such a great environment, everyone had their place and purpose, no one gave the filler feeling or anything like that. The chemistry of the characters was beautiful... Not only the MLs but everyone. So yeah... I doubt there's gonna be other drama to surpass this one. Chef's kiss👏🏻

I dont even enjoy kdramas that much....
