This is what I call a perfect ending...
You might think I'm overrating this because I'm still in the TharnType fever but tbh that's not the reason it gets such a high rating. I thought about it and decided it did deserve the 10 points. Let me tell you why though...Story: The story of this "special episode" keeps true to the original series, recaps some of our favorites from before and gives us new stuff to fawn over. They managed to include the perfect amount of humor and cheesiness, mixed with emotional turmoil and so much romance, you will have hearts in your eyes. The comedy scenes are full of humor and clearly separated from the serious stuff and the serious and heavy scenes are made even more exciting through high production. The story in itself gives us a new chapter of Tharn and Type we didn't really explore in the series: Type's family. And it is definitely worth delving into.
Acting: The acting, with around 2% of exceptions, is great and the characters did not lose any of their charm from the series. The chemistry is still going strong, maybe even stronger since this one is not so much about Tharn and Type learning to care for each other but learning how there love fits in with the world around them.
Production/Music: Every show out there, that messed this up, please go watch this. It is perfect. Perfect volume, perfect timing. There were two scenes that were done so powerfully, I won't forget them anytime soon, I swear.
Overall: A definite re-watch and a great milestone in BL production. It was done amazingly and fits together perfectly, that's why this deserves such a high praise. Beware though, as it will give you serious wishes for a second season and hopefully we will get it!

Most of the time with Thai BL drama you find it cringey to watch new actors acting but never on TharnType! I love how each actor's acting are super natural! Very well done to P'Mame the author of the series for creating a masterpiece! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

TharnType comes back to annoy us all for a very special episode of ignoring all its real issues. Our main couple declare their undying love for each other over and over again in what is nothing but embarrassing fan service while making sure to emphasise that Type is Definitely Not Gay (while everybody else around them is).
Type's big moments of coming out to his friends, family and Kom happen either offscreen, for laughs or in rushed broad strokes with all the emotions stripped from them. I should probably just be happy the writers dealt with those issues at all. They certainly didn't mention Type's trauma, apart from an impetus to his - apparently ongoing - hatred of Bad Gays.
Speaking of Bad Gays, Lhong wanders through to be forgiven by Tharn's brother in a truly disgusting scene that reminds us that Thorn is fine with San being in his brother's life too and therefore clearly doesn't actually care about him. He may as well hang a shingle on his door saying, "All Tharn's abusers are welcome here".
Essentially this "special" consists of random scenes with no real narrative thread or thematic underpinnings. It's basically "stuff fans might like to see" and I'm sure a lot of fans loved it. Even the weird cat/dog scene I'm scrubbing from my mind as we speak.
I guess if you sat through the first 12 episodes you may as well watch it. It changes nothing and adds nothing, except to my annoyance.

With how little time they spent on developing any type of relationship between the "Korean" guy and his roommate, did we really have to get any scenes reminding us of what did not really happen? Probably not. We are still left with no closure, and one could argue, there was no true beginning either.
I did enjoy Type and his mother's relationship and the fact we got to see the serious talk Type had with his best friend. After I finished TharnType, I felt extremely not happy with how they just left it. The fact we got to see them resolve the argument did put a smile on my face. I can easily say that Khom was the best character.
We got to see some aesthetically pleasing scenes, like the beach/sea scene of Type and Tharn, that, I must admit, was shot quite well. Overall, except for maybe 2 scenes, it was quite an "empty" episode, pure fanservice. At the end of the day, they simply gave the fans what they wanted to see (except for Lhong being in prison, even though everyone would love to see that). I can easily see how someone who loved Tharntype would be extremely pleased while watching Our Final Love. Since I was not attached to the show, I sadly could not share the excitement.

Very funny
First of all I have to give a round of applause or mew & gulf for that chemistry & very natural acting. U don't feel like watching drama but some couple in front of u. I thought this special episode is nothing but clips of previous episodes or dragging old story but it's pretty FUNNY. I can't stop laughing till the end.The way gulf's dad pass out on finding abt them & his mom supporting him, defending tharn infront of her husband. This is so real. Some may feel the love scenes awkward or too much but in my pov it's exact & good. All the love scenes in tharntype aren't ugly, vulgar or uncomfortable. They're just lovely. It's not dirty. It's my fav BL series of all time. U can feel some scenes not right atfirst but plz keep patience & u will slowly learn abt everything. This is a really good drama & touches some concepts of our society. Plz give it a try.

This series really is a work of art it touches on mental health, sexual assault, pain, abuse, toxic relationships, and more. People may hate type and Tharn but not all couples are lovey dovey like love at first sight.
Type suffers from alot issues with his sexual assault and Tharn is just as messed up as type who was also taken advantage of as a kid and constantly hurt by those he loved.
However as the story goes on y'all can tell that by these two meeting they're changing into better people. Type is getting better at expressing his emotions without acting violent and Tharn is learning how to genuinely love and trust someone without force. What a lot of people don't understand is that this may be reality for a lot of people. Life isn't perfect but when you find that someone who's worth it then your willing to work things out through all the hardships until you reach that perfect place.
(Ctto, Saw this on youtube) and yes i agree, and i will add more, their chemistry, their acting skills, the potrayal of their characters is just superb?? hands down, gulf is not the typical bottom you would see in a bl series he is an aggressive wifey and has that aura he can only make same as mew. So THARNTYPE is definitely ONE OF THE BEST. because they deserve it and did i mention the show was only funded by their director (P'Mame) and has no sponsor but it was successful

Story: its basically a flashback to when tharn met type's parents for the first time and honestly it was hilarious.
Acting: The chemistry of MewGulf as always is amazing and that sex scene tho. Also type's dad was so funny and his mom was the cutest
Music: they sang the main opening credit song and as always it was amazing. Other music was also really good.
Rewatch value: So! many! times!
Please support the actors and the whole team by purchasing the episode on vimeo and report any illegal recordings of the special.

A ray of light within this terrible story.
You know what? This one was actually good.I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue watching this series after how terrible the main story was, but someone told me this special was the most passable part of this show so I gave it a go and they were totally right. Honestly, if the show had gone through this lighthearted comedy but a little dramatic path, everything would have been so much better and enjoyable.
If I were to write this story I would have focused on Type coming into terms with his dark past and develop him into a mature and more understanding character. This could have been a story of self-discovery, with a beautiful message to help you move forward and learn how to let go of those things that haunt you (specially if you happen to be a victim of sexual assault), but well. It is what it is. And it is NOT good. Don't watch it.
Going back to this special, I was happy that we had an entire episode dedicated to parents. For a lot of people in the LGBTQ+ community parents play an important role in their own acceptance, and even though some parents are on defense at first, they also learn how to accept and love their children for who they are. I think Type's parents really represented that side of being LGBTQ+ surprisingly well and more realistically than Tharn's! One scene that stuck with me even days after watching the episode was when Type's mother tells him something along the lines of: "do I agree with this relationship? No but, do I want to see you sad? I don't, so I'll love you regardless of your decision." She didn't exactly say it with those words, but you know what I mean. I think this was the most realistic answer I have heard from a parent on a BL series and it was pretty damn emotional despite the comedy stuff we had afterwards.
I would prefer to have Type's parents above Tharn's at any given moment. I don't know if you noticed but his family was always acting like the families on tv ads that pretend to be so happy and wholesome that just feels completely fake. I wouldn't trust them AT ALL. They kinda look like the Cullen family from Twilight pretending to be normal humans. Too damn staged.
Now I was pissed when the best friend told Type that he should not apologize for anything. I mean, EXCUSE ME?! Type needs to apologize for A LOT of things, sweetie, let's get that apology video for being an abusive and unreasonable asshole.
All in all, this is the only episode of this series that's worth your time. The pacing, the writing, and the acting were really good and cohesive compared with the main story.
