I didn't expect anything less!

Well, I don't exactly know where to start with this one to be honest lol. I guess I'll start by saying that anyone who's a fan of the Boys' love genre probably already knows how good of an actor Ohm is. This is his fifth BL series and it's definitely his best. BUT when it comes to Nanon, it's his first one and he did exceptional. I have no complaints about his acting at all. In fact, him being casted for a character like this seems almost perfect because Pran is similar to characters he's played before and played very well. I think that the two of them together made/left such an impression on everyone who watched that none of us can even imagine anyone else doing it. I know they're really good friends in real life but if someone didn't know that, I'd think their a real couple. That's how good their chemistry is on screen(probably off screen as well tbh). Tension, anger, sadness, true love, happiness, fondness, friendliness... all emotions that BOTH of them are able to express without any words being said. JUST PURE TALENT.
I wasn't exactly super impressed with the plot of the story AT FIRST. I honestly didn't see anything super interesting or unique about it. Enemies to lovers isn't a trope I dislike but it's been done so many times in so many ways that it has to be really good to keep my interest. Well... this one was really effin good. I still think the relationship between the parents of Pat and Pran was pretty petty and extremely immature, especially when your emotions as a parent are being pushed onto your children for no reason. But I still think that even though this annoyed me, it wasn't even a huge focal point of the drama til pretty much the end. I appreciated that. I think the focus for the most part was on the development of two college boys who never really even hated each other and learning that their feelings are much beyond what they thought. Feelings are really complicated and I think this drama showed that perfectly.
As for the side couple/characters, all wonderfully done. I don't think that I ever really had a dull moment. I enjoyed watching the growth of each character.
OH AND THE FREAKING OST IS A MASTERPIECE. Come on Nanon. You are one talented dude.
I can't watch to rewatch this again in the near future and show it to all of my friends.

JUST WOW, I HAVE SO MANY WORDS AND YET NONE AT ALL!!

I didn't have any expectations going into this because I hadn't read any reviews myself nor had I really seen anyone talk much about it. I just saw someone recommend it on tiktok and decided to take a leap of faith and give it a try. I really didn't think it was going to be that interesting and it was my first time ever watching a Thai drama. Most of the one's I had watched before were Korean dramas so I just wasn't sure if I was going to like it. BOY WAS I SURPRISED. I really need for my fellow friends that enjoy this genre to watch this. I watch a lot of Boy love, LGBTQ+ or whatever you wanna call it, in both anime form and live action.. and this is by far one of the best ones I've seen. Like probably top, number one. It didn't have any overly toxic characters, no boring side stories, no fillers, and no uncomfortable sex scenes(as in borderline rape scenes cause I've seen that in a lot of dramas but don't get me wrong, there's a little spice in there. Just not uncomfortable spice lol). Not to mention the main characters have a pretty healthy relationship, unlike most other BL's I've seen. I mean literally whatever little rivalry they had in the beginning was squashed in the first episode. This series is just so sweet and heart-warming. The crying scene's aren't sugar coated or made to look pretty. There is just so much pure and raw emotion involved in this series that it's hard to look away. I binged the whole five hours of it and regret nothing.
MANY things about it really drew me, even from the very beginning. A lot of the dramas I watch are kind of short and rushed but this one was completely opposite. They took their time telling the story(which is a great plot) and it starts way different than other ones I've seen. The build up in their relationship, exploring their love, their sexuality, and feeling the heartache they share of being LGBTQ+ in a society that doesn't really accept them is just so beautiful and relatable it hurts. It shows that its okay to be confused and its okay to be who you are. There are always people who aren't going to accept you but there are always going to be people who WILL. I appreciate that there are very supportive side characters(like family and friends) which is awesome because it makes them more relevant in the story. I have re-watched this series about 6 or 7 times now and I plan to continue to re-watch until I literally can't stand it anymore.
This drama is in another league than others I've watched and it makes me hold everything else to higher standards.
I'm so insanely excited for Part 2 that I've pretty much decided to wait until it's fully released to watch it because it's agonizing to have to wait for it every week lol.

What a wonderful series

I went into this series pretty much guaranteeing myself that I wasn't gonna like it because I don't usually like drama's where one of the main characters is basically being emotionally tortured by watching their secret love sleep around with someone else(or in this case, multiple people). Although I know it is a reality some live with, it's not particularly something I like watching. But when I pushed past some of those parts, I did really enjoy this series A LOT. I enjoyed the fact that the series took it's time, it didn't feel as rushed as some others that I've watched. The acting was really good and I can relate to a lot of the interests of some of the characters. They're all so funny and creative and that's something I appreciate. I've said this before but I do enjoy stories with characters who don't exactly know their sexuality yet, or at least their unaware of their feelings for a specific person, which doesn't necessarily mean they have to change their label or call themselves anything they're not comfortable with. This series has that and I think it makes for an interesting plot. I liked the fact that prior to them ever getting together, they were best friends... which to me makes their relationship more precious. It's kind of something that everyone secretly wants. It's very comfortable love. I also really appreciate the dynamic between the 4 of them as friends. They're really good friends to each other and have genuinely good intentions to help and support each other. It's very cute.
Oh, and not to mention that I'm a fan of film so some of the movie references in this series was really awesome to see. I honestly would watch it if they made a sequel or a spin-off. but even if they didn't, I'm very satisfied with what I was given.
I would watch this series again. Maybe not back to back but give me a month or two and I'd totally binge it again.

What a beautiful moon <3

As expected, I loved this pretty much just as much as I loved I Told Sunset About You. ITSAY has a very special place in my heart so when I found out it was getting a part 2, I was so excited. I was so anxious to watch this series that I literally told myself I was gonna wait until the entire series aired before I watched it so I didn't have to torture myself with waiting every week for an episode.
So, I think it was a couple days after episode 3 aired and before I had watched it, I had heard the news about Teh's cheating. After that, I was upset because I was worried about not only how the series would end, but if I was even gonna like it or not. Cheating isn't a foreign thing when it comes to a BL series. I mean usually it's someone forcing themselves onto the main character, but still... it happens quite often. However, that is NOT the direction I ever thought this series would go. Finding that out made me lose faith in the plot of the series even being any good at all.
BUT I honestly should've never doubted this series though. I may have been upset as hell with Teh's character for cheating and really sad to see Oh'aews character in pain but the ending was exactly what I wanted. I still wanted them to be together no matter what. I think that there is always room for a relationship to grow, recover, and succeed if both partners are willing to just try. I think that the love between Teh and Oh'aew is so pure and strong that they were able to overcome their flaws. I will never say it's okay to cheat but I think like Oh'aew said at the end "It is impossible for us to not have problems." All couples have issues and it's normal to sometimes have feelings for someone else. It's you being a human being.
With the history the two of them have together, the memories, the love, the happiness, the laughter.. I just think that the bond they have with each other is too strong to break. Especially when there is time given to heal.
It's okay for people to change and to go their separate paths. Sometimes it's necessary for people to become stronger when they come back together.
Overall, this series was amazing. The only thing that upset me sometimes is I felt like there may have been a little too much screen time for the side characters and not enough for the main couple. I mean, in ITSAY they were the main focus pretty much all the way through but for this part, I don't feel that was so. But other than that I really can't complain.
I loved this so much and I recommend this entire series to anyone who is a fan of BL and coming of age stories.

I don't believe in heaven but I believe in this drama ?

Ok.. so as someone who is pretty much just now branching off of the BL genre, this is the first review I've done on just a regular K-drama. Normally when I watch a drama that isn't BL, it has to be related to something I enjoy. For example, Horror/Thrillers. That's why I really enjoyed Strangers from Hell and Sweet home. But this is pretty much the first time that I ignored all those things and went for something I wasn't even sure I was gonna like lol. Tbh, when I first read the synopsis it made me really confused how this is ranked #1 on the top dramas list. I thought it sounded quite boring. How could a drama about moving peoples things be good? Damn.. I was WRONG. To me, this drama was anything but boring. Not only is pretty much every single character likeable but its exactly what it says it is, a freaking tearjerker. I cried in almost every episode. It was cool to see the lives and stories of the dead. Especially when typically people just end up forgetting them. It definitely also had lots of comedy, happiness, suspense, action... just everything. I wasnt sure how I felt about the uncle at first just cause he seemed to be really petty but he grew on me super hard and ended up becoming one of my favorite characters. His slowly developed relationship with Geu-ru was so perfectly executed. Geu-ru is also an extremely likeable character. Hes so smart, talented, and very high functioning. I know that one of the symptoms of Asperger syndrome is that people with it seem to lack emotional expression and yes, maybe Geu-ru didnt physically show his emotions much but he definitely expressed his emotions through his actions and words. The things he would go out of his way to do for people was insane. I seriously cant get over how good this series was. I will be rewatching it again soon lol. Im grateful for everyone involved in this drama.

Where to start..

This may change in the future for sure, but as of today as I'm writing this, this is probably going to be one of my longest reviews I've done yet. I have sooo much to say about this drama, good and bad. Instead of individually reviewing both season 1 & 2, I'm just going to include it all in this one review. Starting off, I think Love Sick is definitely the longest drama I've invested myself in so far and even if at points I wanted to drop it, I'm very glad I powered through. It doesn't feel like wasted time.
So, season 1 was amazing. I think I may have enjoyed it a little more than season 2. But I appreciate them for different reasons. I like how season 1 focus's more on the main couple, Noh and Phun, and not so much on other characters. But I like season 2 for that very opposite reason. I did enjoy watching relationships apart from the main couple develop as well. I will say though I was a little confused why season 1 had a actual physical kiss scene and yet season 2 either cut all the kiss scenes out, or they were staged kisses. It doesn't bug me too much or take away much from the story but I would've liked to see actual kisses between some of the characters.
I think one of the main complaints I had was that I didn't enjoy most of the female characters in this series. I think the only one's I liked or could even stand watching was Yuri, Nongnan(mainly cause I love Samantha), Lhew, and sometimes Mo(when she wasn't arguing with her stupid boyfriend). I had a really hard time watching the parts with Jeed and Grace specifically because honestly, they don't have much character depth anymore, they're just bullies the whole time.
Most of the male characters were great to watch, I think one of my absolute favorites was Phun. I think White is a really good actor and I actually watched him in Theory of Love before watching this so it was interesting to see how his acting was before he hit 20. I really loved watching the relationship between all the boys in this series. All such good friends who have each others backs and try to give advice when they can. For being such young teenagers, I was sometimes surprised by how good the advice actually was. and even if they had no advice, it was still sweet to watch them comfort each other in silence.
I will say I know that this drama was released back in 2014-2015, so it's definitely older than most the BL's out there today. That's why when some of the drama started to seemed extremely childish and unnecessary, I gave it the benefit of the doubt because I know that not only are all the actors actually pretty young but they're supposed to be high schoolers so it makes sense for them to act like angsty teens.
I found myself questioning if a lot of the series was necessary to make and why it had to be as long as it was. I think there were some characters that were not needed and some relationships I didn't care to watch but I think overall I really did like this show. It surprised me to be honest. I had tried to start it a while back and just gave up because I couldn't find it in good quality and I felt a bit weird watching actors so young but I'm glad I gave it a second chance. Although I liked it a lot, I still want to say that had I watched it the year it came out, I probably wouldn't of complained as much as I did. It's actually quite perfect for what it is and when it was released. I know it's one of the first popular boys' love series to come out in Thailand and for that alone, it deserves praise.
I'm not sure if I'll ever rewatch it but you never know. I might wanna come back to these boys one day.
It's been a long journey for this one and I'm grateful for the ride.

You're crazy if you didn't enjoy this.

I think it was fate for me to watch this series. It was amazing.
I'm not very good at writing reviews and I don't really know how to put into words how much I enjoyed this. I don't really know the fundamentals for making a good drama. However, I'm going to review this based on how this drama made me feel and OH did it make me feel MANY things. I feel like I felt every single emotion there is out there when watching this series. I really appreciate a BL with a good story or plot because sometimes, they can really lack that. A lot of companies make BL because its very popular amongst young girls and usually all they care about are the kiss/sexy time scenes. This series has so much more than that. I really like the idea of reincarnation, though I personally don't believe in it. But it fascinates me. I like the idea of love giving you a second chance in life. I also think mental health and suicide are things people need to talk more about. I mean it literally had a double suicide and had me crying within the first 7 minutes(I'm a baby though). The thing is, suicide is a very touchy subject but its definitely not a foreign idea when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community. Its taken a long time for the community to come as far as it has and for people to live their lives comfortably in their sexuality. This series really shows the progression of society, even if it is only 30 years. Time can heal a lot more than we think it can. If you want to watch a series that has love so strong that it really overcomes all obstacles, this is the drama for you for sure.

Lovely series

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I think anyone who rated this any lower than a 7 is crazy. I didnt see any problems with it. I can get why maybe some would find it a little boring in comparison to some other BL's but overall as a whole, it was pretty entertaining. I loved the difference in personality of the two main characters. Ones a little more outspoken, rambunctious, and fiesty. The other is cool, calm, and collected. It makes for a really good dynamic. I also appreciate how in learning to love each other, their relationship was never abusive or toxic(at least in the ways I'm thinking of). I would watch this again. I caught myself laughing and smiling a LOT. I think it's worth giving a shot depsite what others say about it.

Great Boy love <3

I genuinely enjoyed this series all the way through. The only reason I didn't rate it higher is because I do feel as though it may be lacking in story just a little bit. I would've loved for there to be more to the plot than what there was. I like what plot is there though, I like the idea of them pretty much being rivals their whole lives. I just wish we could've gone more in depth with it. I still really liked it a lot and stayed very entertained throughout the series. The way the relationship between the two main characters blossoms is something that I can really appreciate because not all gay relationships start off with both partners liking men. I think it's possible to not completely understand your own sexuality, especially when you grow up believing and being told one thing is right. However, I'm very happy that they both can realize their feelings for each other. I would talk about the second season on here but I think I'll write a separate review on that because although I still enjoyed season 2, I don't think I liked it quite as much as this one.. which I'm pretty sure is how most people feel lol.

What the fluff did I just watch?

I dont even really know where to begin. I guess let me first start out by saying if you're reading this review so that you can decide on whether or not to watch this, I'm going to warn you right now.. this movie is not for the faint of heart. Not only is there very homophobic bullying by students AND teachers, but there is also a rape scene. Two of the main characters are pretty much destroyed emotional and physically by this gang and its absolutely heart breaking. I genuinely wanted to hurt some of the side characters in this.. and I'm not a violent person. I will say though, I think the ending was decent enough and the rage scene that happened in the school was actually pretty cool. Every single one of them deserved what they got. The plot was honestly pretty interesting and I didn't really ever get bored of it. I didn't hate this movie, although it has very triggering topics, because I think that sometimes it's important to show this side of things... considering this does happen everyday in real life. Despite that, I dont think I would ever put myself through watching this again. It hurt and this is definitely not the type of BL I prefer to watch. I think its good to watch through once just to get the expierence but it's not going to be something you're going to want to return to.

Only pretty good but only cause it's my fault

I have nothing in particular against this series to be honest. I think my mistake was watching this without watching Kiss or Kiss me again before hand(even knowing that they're the parent stories), but I just wasn't interested in anyone else's story besides Pete and Kao's tbh. However, It kind of fucked up the series a little bit for me since this series starts out with them already being a couple(which I literally couldn't tell because all they act like is really flirty friends most of the time). I just felt like this was lacking somehow but I still think that it's my fault I couldn't build an attachment to their characters considering I missed out on most of their story. Because of this, some parts with Pete and Kao almost bored me. I still really liked their interactions and relationship but I found myself a lot more interested in Sun and Mork's relationship. It's pretty much the reason I was able to finish this all the way through. I didn't hate it, I didn't love love it either. I think it's probably a good idea to watch Pete and Kao's story from the very beginning like everyone said because I feel like I would've liked this a whole lot more. I still think the show was well done and it definitely had it's curves and twists. I think PeteKao is really cute and I've always liked their ship, even before I watched this. They're cool dudes. Maybe I'll watch the parent series and then come back to this again and change my mind. I think for what it was to me though, I still enjoyed it more than you would think I would. I think New and Tay are something special.
*EDIT* I changed my rating on this from a 7.5 to an 8.5 because I went back and actually watched Kiss and Kiss me again. Now that I have the WHOLE back story on Pete and Kao, I do really like Dark Blue Kiss more than I did before. I still wish that sometimes we had a little more intimate scenes because I genuinely think that Tay and New have the potential to produce real raw and intense chemistry(just from seeing them in interviews and hangout with each other) but I'm not going to blame or rate the series lower because of that. I know that sometimes the actors aren't exactly comfortable with that kind of stuff and I respect that.

*So much potential, it makes me mad*

I think for this being a fairly short series, it was pretty good but I'm still a little disappointed based on it's rating being an 8.0. The teenage versions of the main characters were honestly great, it's not the first thing I've liked Edward in(Your name engraved herein). But I felt that the adult actors fell a little flat.
They pretty much had no chemistry and hardly any contact at all. I think that the fact that most of the series takes place in the past when they were teens is one of the only reasons I could finish it. I really do feel like just a few changes to this series and it could've been TWICE as good as it was because it already had pretty amazing potential.
Like no lie, the series still had some very nice shots and it had some very hard hitting, thought provoking topics... I appreciate that more than anything. I also thought that some of the dialogue was written very nicely and the music was beautiful.
Overall, it was decent for what it was but I know it could've been better.
Still a solid series and I do recommend giving it a watch. I just don't know if I would ever watch it twice.

MY BOYS :)

This was an absolutely amazing movie, like better than what I was expecting. Gameboy's was a series that I watched on a whim and really didn't think much of because most Pinoy BL's I've seen have been pretty average. BUT I actually thought the series was really well done for a series that takes place during Quarantine AND most likely on a tight budget. It had a very very cute story and the acting is just superb. Kokoy and Elijah have really good chemistry in my opinion. This movie was EVEN BETTER than the series itself because now we actually got to see how the actors physically interact with each other in person and it did not disappoint me. I feel like they fed off each others energies really well and it seemed like they had all actually been friends for a really long time.
Let me not forget about the sex scene between Kokoy and Elijah. It was honestly one of the best sex scenes in all BL. I haven't seen a scene like this where they switch roles mid sex. I like that they put something in there like that because it's a bit more unique to the BL drama scene. Plus, the way it was filmed was absolutely alluring and beautiful.
I really enjoyed this entire movie from beginning to end. The music was great, the acting was great, the filming was great, the location was great, the lighting was great. I really don't know how else to express it.
I will be watching this again.

AH WHYYYYYY

Okay so I want to start off by saying I did not, by any means, dislike this series as a whole. I just disliked things about it. I really thought it was good and I also enjoyed that it was a bit longer than some others I've seen. I like a good 12-17 hour series. However, with it being a 12 hour series, wth was that ending? I appreciate that the two main characters had their happy ending but there was SO much left unanswered. I mean, Aey is an extremely unlikeable character(emphasis on character, the actor is great) who spends 90% of the series causing drama for the main characters and then crying about it... which is annoying. Despite that, there are parts of me that felt bad for him and felt he deserved a better ending than what was given to us. It just felt so rushed towards the end like they didn't care and wanted to get the series over with. A little disappointing. Also I'm assuming the character at the very end is just the author/writer of the ACTUAL series but it was so confusing. It felt like they were going to set up for a second season but I don't think that's the case. It was just weirdly thrown in there out of nowhere.
Overall, I liked it a lot and it's still better than most BL's I've watched. I enjoyed the drama and the relationship between the main characters. I loved the humor that some of the side characters had. I liked the plot, I haven't seen many plots that involve making a series inside a series lol. I really would've rated this higher if it weren't for the things mentioned above.
Though, I really don't know if I'd ever re-watch it unless it got a sequel or a spin off. I'm just a little too disappointed in the ending, which is so unfortunate considering how much time goes into watching a series this long. I wanted more answers, which isn't a bad thing. It means people are genuinely enjoying what they're watching. However, ending a series with almost no answers revolving around a specific character is just a little frustrating. I hope they make a spin-off or something of the sort. I'd watch it.
