Do Bong Soon, une force de la nature

I really do not get the hype
Look I know I gave it 5 stars but that was just because I ADORE the main couple I think they're genuinely so cute and Park Boyoung and Park Hyungsik knock it out of the park with their characters and acting. Park Hyungsik really proves himself as one of the best idol actors and he brings so much life to a character who could easily be just this obnoxious, male lead prick. And ofc Park Boyoung is just so much fun to watch on screen and kills it. I love Bongsoon and Minhyuk as characters and I do think they work so together as a duo, and later as a couple, but idk. That's the only thing I like about the show but since I do love that aspect so much I had to give it credit. That being said, this is not a good show. The tone bounces all over the place and it has no idea what it wants to be. The concept is superfun and almost comic book like and sometimes it feels like thats the vibe it wants to go for, but then it introduces a weirdly really creepy thriller aspect? And then the moment later some really gross joke will happen that just makes you so uncomfortable like huhhh??? Also the second male lead was such a pain I hated that guy how was Bongsoon ever attracted to him I do not understand. Idk overall it just felt very uneven and I just really did not care for the plot. And yeah... theres a lot of just... weird humor in it. Idk I'm sure a lot of people found it funny but it's really just not for me I found it really out of place and bemusingly unfunny. It's kind of sad, like I love this couple and their characters so much they deserved such a better show.Cet avis était-il utile?

I'm so in love with this show it's not even funny. Yoonseo and Jungrok are so disgustingly in love and I hate them theyre so stupid <3333 Yoo Inna shines as this ditzy, terrible actress who somehow falls for a man who literally spouts out legal jargon when he's drunk HES SO PATHETIC I LOVE HIM DEARLY. And the whole law firm is just <333 This concept is just so ridiculously silly but I loved watching Yoonseo becoming more interested in her job and wanting to help out the clients she was just so sweet <33 Definitely what this law firm needed when your star lawyer is incapable of emoting. Also Lawyer Dan and Lawyer Choi are the loves of my life I love my silly, hopeless romantic Lawyer Dan and absolutely pathetic mama's boy Lawyer Choi and the ridiculously campy music that plays whenever theyre together THEYRE INSANE. And as we all know Oh Jungse is the actor of all time, I'm absolutely obsessed with him as this idiotic, fan boy CEO what a guy. This show is just SO FUN <33 like yeah the plot with Yoonseo's ex fell a bit flat and it does take the show a few eps to really get into the groove but once it does its so enjoyable. Jungrok becomes such a more likable character and the way he asks out Yoonseo is my favorite kdrama confession of all time just behind her drunken confession like !!!! HER DRUNKEN CONFESSION IS EVERYTHING I LOVE HER SO MUCH. And him just being like ?????? I'm sorry but if a man that pathetic handed me a note that just said 'lets date' after I drunkenly confessed to him it's over I'm marrying that man. Yeah the whole 'breaking up for her sake' trope is SOO OVERDONE and im glad he was depressed because of it he deserved it but as always it worked out in the end. Ugh Yoonseo and Jungrok are really just one of the cutest kdrama couples ever THEY DID THIS FOR THE GOBLIN FANS <333 Cet avis était-il utile?

Hm. So I love the first half of this show! I'm a sucker for secret identities and I was fully rooting for Dalpo to expose the truth and all that. But idk, after the arc with Dalpo's brother wrapped up the plot got a bit weak in my opinion. They opted for a twist villain in the second male leads mom? Which, I should've seen coming for the beginning cause you don't just cast Kim Haesook in your drama and underutilize her. Which, OHHH KIM HAESOOK <333 ACTRESS OF ALL TIME <333 Unfortunately I didn't care for her character here but I just think worth mentioning that literally no one has ever done it like Kim Haesook the queen herself <33 Anyway, the first half of this show is so fun ! I love the dynamic between Inha and Dalpo (even if I dont care for them as a ship) and I love getting to watch them fight to become reporters and for Dalpo to get his voice heard. I loved the tense moments when his situation would get brought up and he would defend himself and ofc no one knew who he really was AUGH i just love secret identities <33 And acting wise, I think this is my favorite thing I've ever seen both Lee Jongsuk and Park Shinhye in so color me impressed. Although I was annoyed that they really didn't do anything with Inha??? Like the story is mostly about Dalpo and his family's story and cover up, yet it's named based off of Inha's condition??? Idk that was weird I wanted to see Inha do more and there be more of a focus on her, esp in the second half. Also I love Yoorae <3 She's just the cutest ever <33 I do really think the show peaked with the brother arc and never really knew where to go after they resolved it. Which the brother arc was INSANE. That was honestly the thing I cared about the most I loved the dark turn it took and they didn't turn the brother into this monster like the guy was so nice he was just full of anger and those guys did have it coming so.
But yeah, overall, the vibes in the first half are so much fun like it's just so enjoyable and easy to watch. I didn't really care for the romance though, but it wasn't awful or toxic or anything.

Fellow Im Jinjoo Kinnies Where We At????
UGH THIS SHOW !!!! MY ABSOLUTE BELOVED !!! I feel like a lot of kdrama comedies who try that 'quirky' 'goofy' style come across as really stale or 'try hard' but this show just exudes natural charm. Literally EVERYONE in this show is INSANE and off the walls weird and I love them for it. It never comes across as forced, like all these characters are just so REAL. The writing just feels so fresh and natural and ugh I love slice of life done right. There's just a breezy feel to watching this drama, the dialogue is sharp, the characters are full of depth, the chemistry between the characters are so fun, and the show is full of bright colors and its very easy to watch. Yeah, the first ep is a bit depressing as it goes into the backstories and motivations of our three leads, but it's incredible how invested I became in these characters and their friendship. I love this silly found family so much they're so <33 Hanjoo, Jinjoo, and Eunjung play off of each other and balance each other so well its not even funny. I especially how Hanjoo and Eunjung and how they work as foils to each other. Hanjoo being the one who, on the outside, seems the weakest and most vulnerable but is full of perseverance like idk how she does it, and Eunjung being the first to want to kill anyone who hurts Hanjoo but who's also bottling all of her issues up and ignoring them like I love the contrast in their characters and how well they work together as besties. And then there's Im Jinjoo.
Where do you even start with Jinjoo? She's the PERFECT protagonist for this show. I would say personally I think Eunjung and Hanjoo are the most likable of the three leads, and I think that's why Jinjoo works as the protagonist. She's messy, self centered, and just all over the place. She's incredibly stubborn but also fiercely loyal and I do love her for it. She's a hopeless romantic who lives for the drama and can't stand being rejected by someone she dumped a gazillion times but kept coming back to even though she hated him. She's a complete mess of contradictions and she's always trying to rationalize her insane behavior and it's insane how relatable she is. I love getting inside her head and her thoughts about the world cause I just find her so incredibly relatable ugh I love her <33 She's also so annoying I love how annoyed she gets by Beomsoo and decides to clown him through the song he hates and literally mocks he past love through out of key singing in the middle of a public building. I LOVE HER. But I'm with her Beomsoo was an arrogant prick and he and Jinjoo were literally made for each other. They're like the same person and they're so the kind of people who just need to be arguing constantly for no reason and they can so provide that for each other. I love how awkward their loveline was and just how incredibly stupid and cynical they are i love them <3
As other characters go, I loved the rest of the supporting cast, like Somin my BELOVED ! I love her shes so fun as the ditzy actress type and her and Eunjung had such a fun dynamic. Minjoon was a fun love interest for Somin and obviously I can't go with out shouting out Son Seokkoo <3 His weirdo director character was just so ??? Like that guy was actually mentally insane I'm obsessed with him and I love him and Eunjung's dynamic so much they weirdly worked together. I am so glad they kept them platonic though <3
And UGHHH ohh the plots in this show <33 They're just so heartfelt and it's so easy to root for the characters. Like you want to see Eunjung finally tell everyone about what she's going though and stop bottling up all her pain and ohh her backstory broke my heart 3 As did Hanjoo's, like what an incredibly strong woman I can't even imagine being left with a kid like that and I just love the support system found family they have living in Eunjung's house and how much they care for each other <3 Like Eunjung's brother too I loved how close he was with the girls and how he was always there for them too like ugh <3
There is really nothing like this show like the slice of life vibes have never been this FUN <33 I really just love love this show and all its characters ugh <33

Ok let's get the negatives out of the way first, this show is not for everybody. The acting is pretty bad- you can so tell most of them are idol actors- and yes, it can be cheesy. I'd say the bad acting is the biggest flaw of the show and also, warning, it does have JYP in it and he's basically playing himself but like less creepy. But idk guys the vibes in this show are SO FUN I ADORE IT. I love it when a lovable band of the most annoying losers you've ever met have to group together in order to realize their dreams its so cheesy but idk it gets me. I love their little group so much and them all living together and taking care of each other like the most loser family ever i love them I LOVE THESE SILLY KPOP IDOLS FOUND FAMILY. And honestly its the teacher who really pulls it together like youve got this underdog, complete loser of a teacher but he believes in these sillies despite what he has to work with is the most emotionless complete prick (go hyemi my beloved <33), this country bumpkin, taecyeon doing his best attempt at a bad boy character, and IU playing an absolute sweetheart with perfect pitch. I love this group of misfits so much and it's so easy to root for them despite Hyemi putting up her uncaring front all the time. And speaking of Hyemi, I adore her. Like yeah, okay, Suzy is not a great actress but I think it's clear Hyemi's really guarded and prickly not because she's an uncaring sociopath but because she has to be to survive cause her dad is the worst and she has a family to take care of. Idk she's kind of a girlboss and I love how as the show goes on its so obvious how much she cares and how she looks out for the rest of the group despite everything. She's such a fun protagonist and such an interesting one for a 2010s character like shes not this wide-eyed, flighty, candy girl, she's snarky and rude and does not hold back. I ADORE HER. That being said I also love Baekhee, I cant help it, I love a good loserwoman. She's your typical 'was treated poorly by the rude, egotistical popular girl and now wants to take her place' character and yes she's really desperate but idk i do feel bad for her. And I am kind of surprised she didn't end up with Taecyeons character- which I actually really loved their bond. Taecyeon still looking out for her despite being in love with Hyemi was actually so sweet he's such a good guy and I think that's what works about his character. He's not this bad boy stereotype, he has an actual soul and heart and just like Hyemi is just a bit guarded on the outside. And that's the shows biggest positive- it's so incredibly heartfelt. It's goofy and can be cliche, but wow is it just so full of heart. Ugh I just really adore this show, the characters just all fit so well together and I love how they ultimately came together to form one big group like i just love them so dearly. Like Kim Soohyun's country bumpkin character is just so earnest you cant help but root for the guy- although he does get a bit emo during the second half but I do like how he and Hyemi work through that and his hearing issues. Which, yeah, the drama in this show is insane but I adore it it's so ridiculous <33 And then ofc theres Pilsuk and Jason and Jason is just so well named like that guy is just such a Jason. Those two were actually so cute together, and honestly... For a 2010 Kdrama I was actually surprised with how they dealt with Pilsuk's character and her weight loss. I do think that she ultimately did it for herself, which I appreciated, and I also how appreciated how Jason didn't want her to lose weight because he thought she was ugly, but because he hated seeing her getting bullied and looked down upon in the school because of it. It's def a touchy subject - esp with Korean beauty standards- and for the most part I do think they handled it pretty well. I also found it interesting that they didn't try to glamourize the weight loss, like they showed the reality of it and the side effects of weight loss. I just found it interesting how they handled the plot considering the beauty standards there. But other than that Pilsuk was SUCH a sweetie i loved her so much and I loved her dynamic with the rest of the group they just had a realy fun group dynamic idk guys I just really love this show. The music is peak 2010s kpop and I love it too. It's just such a sweet show and I acknowlegde that it's def not for everyone- I just love shows about people going to arts schools idk what it is. But this really is just a heartfelt show that makes you root for this stupid losers and their little group <3 Cet avis était-il utile?

Korean violence censorship at its funniest
This was actually such a fun time (until the end what was that????) Like I love the White Collar/Leverage-esque concept as always <33 And you really can't go wrong with Ma Dongseok (who's incredible in this by the way like I adored his character.) The plot for the most part is fun, it's this traumatized cop rounding up violent criminals to help him solve crimes and the main protagonist was actually such an interesting character like the scenes where it would go to the flashbacks with his daughter to his empty, lifeless state in the present was CHILLING. And ofc my crime found family's dynamic is also so fun, I love the minor details of their characterizations. Like how Ma Dongseok's character was a gang leader so whenever he tries to solve the crime he just pulls together a group of cronies and impulsively barges right into the problem (and is usually right like give this man more credit!!!) And then there's the hitman who will analyze the scene and think about how he would've pulled it off and is very analytical and smooth about it- everything about him, his appearance, his mannerisms, his speech- it's all very to the point and smooth. And then there's Park Haejin's character who just kinda zones out and is super OP? Idk but good for him. Idk i really enjoyed all of those characters and I actually enjoyed the writing on them and all the minor details, which is something that doesn't happen often for me when I watch an OCN drama. And the individual cases and how they got solved was also really fun. But idk... something about the plot as a whole and the main character's own vengeance based path didn't sit well with me. Also I'm sorry but why did they make the one female character so annoying??? Like she was just unnecessary first of all and it just felt like they were just shoving her in there just to have a female character? Why wasn't one of the 'bad guys' a woman or something instead of giving us this annoying character who really did nothing. Also my favorite thing about this show is how unintentionally morbidly hilarious it is. Like hitman going into detail about how he dismembered the woman he liked's husband right to her face was the funniest thing I watched last year. WHO JUST SAYS THAT???????????? Like I agree she deserved to know that he was the one who killed her husband but my man was going into unnecessary detail FOR NO REASON??? Idk it was funny to me for no reason. And then there was the part where they blurred out the bloody organs so all you can see is a bag of blurred blood. Which that also shouldn't have been funny but for some reason it took me out.

Yes but did you know she has an Olympic record for dart throwing????
This show is so funny like Nana's character takes every opportunity to flex her dart throwing skills while Jang Kiyong just stares at her like '😐maam this is a wendys.' But yeah actually this show is not funny at all its extremely depressing and idk I kinda loved how it ended like that guy so deserved it !!! And yeah, is this a good show? No, not really. But wow I had the time of my life watching it I binged it in one day. Sure, the characters aren't really fleshed out and the plot is just.... fine, but idk the action can be fun and it did keep my attention. ALSO SEULGI??? Oh Seulgi.... She was so sweet I adored her dynamic with the male lead they were so sweet <33 She was the best thing about this show. Nana and Jang Kiyong also had a sweet dynamic and I do like a good cat and mouse game. Would def rewatch this its just a fun time but don't expect too much meat out of it it's an OCN drama from 2019. Wait but Nana did eat in this I'm so interested in checking out more of her shows now like how do you go from Orange Caramel to THIS? What range, I love her.Cet avis était-il utile?
Ok downsides, the plot with the 1992 stuff can be so confusing sometimes and sometimes the plot is just ???? the end is kind of draggy and the ending is just ????????? Like idk the climax just wasn't climaxing for me but thats ok because the heart of this show is truly in all of the perfect dynamics and relationships like ohhh <33

Marriage, Not Dating

The negatives first- Most of the characters are either extremely irritating or just really boring. The second male lead was just boring and I’m tired of pointless love triangles that make no sense. I actually enjoyed the main couple I didn’t need this boring other guy pining over this psycho woman- like dude I get it I love her too- but it added nothing to the story and I didn’t like them as a ship. The second female lead was also really weird??? She had major baby fever and I also get that but there are many ways to get a baby idk why she was so adamant on having one with the male lead. She was just a boring character who also didn’t add anything. And then there was the female leads ex who was just an annoying prick most of the time.
And now to the negatives- THIS SHOW IS SO FUN AND WACKY LIKE 🤭🤭 it’s actually SOO campy and zany so if that’s not your type of humor you’re probably not going to like this. There’s lots of physical humor and Han Groo commits so fully to all of it like her character is this constantly emotionally involved, really sweet character who’s constantly drinking and trying to get involved with everyone’s business (cause she cares) and she plays into it SO WELL. Jangmi is so INSANE and I love how Han Groo plays her like I adore this psycho so much. And her and the male lead are actually so cute! I love a good old fake relationship and these two play into that trope in such a fun way. It’s your typical, they bicker all the time but the more they hang out with each other they more they understand and empathize with one another and then they fall in love ofc and they’re actually so cute. I love their bickering and chemistry and idk they really made the show I loved watching them fall in love. The male lead is your regular arrogant male lead idiot and I wasn’t crazy about his character but he was a good match for Jangmi and all her chaotic energy as this guy who likes to think he’s got it all together but in actuality he’s just as insane.
But as cute as this show is, my favorite thing about this show is the queen herself Kim Haesook, who plays the male leads mom. She’s knees deep in marital trouble of her own and Jangmi with all her good intentions is always trying to help out while Kim Haesook just stares at her like ok girl 🤨. But as the show goes on ofc the two start to bond and genuinely their relationship is SO SWEET. I loved seeing the two of them grow closer and Kim Haesooks character start to accept Jangmi. Augh, it was just a lot.
Overall, there’s a lot of weak elements to the show, but the leads slay, the romance is cute, and Kim Haesook steals the show as always <33 I had a really fun time with this show but it is REALLY campy so it’s def not for everyone

SO RIDICULOUSLY HEARTFUL ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY
I LOVE FOUND FAMILY. I REALLY DO. I really don't know what I was expecting with this show, but I was blown away with how much each ep had me grinning like an idiot. There's something so nostalgic and breezy about watching these country teenage athletes really meld into a functional badminton team like ill always eat up a good sports story !! And this is so much more than that. It's slice of life and coming of age at its purest form and UGH what do you even say about this show?? It's just so warm and full of heart and it just really got to me idk. Ok yeah, some of the plots are not very interesting- esp the ones that were like the village politics- and there were some... interesting choices made in the writing but the characters and dynamic absolutely SHINE. You root so hard for these stupid boys and their weird little badminton team and it actually made me so interested in badminton? I loved watching the matches they gave me the usual 'watching sports anxiety' which is always a good thing cause it made me feel like I was actually watching a match. But yeah, the characters really make this show. It's so chockful with characters full of personality and I adore almost all of them. Tang Junsang continues to prove that he's a force to be reckoned with acting wise and should be cast in every show ever from now on. Seriously, Yoon Haekang on paper seems like such an annoying character. He's a BASEBALL PLAYER first of all and he's an egotistical complainer who likes to keep to himself (at first, of course) but I love once we really get to know him we see that this guy just sucks at showing his emotions and has an incredible heart and its so sweet to see him warming up to his teammates and acclimate to life in the country and going back to badminton. ALSO HES JUST SO AWKWARD I LOVE HIM. And his dynamic with the rest of the team <33 Honestly thats the highlight for me. The teams dynamic with each other and ofc their dynamic with Seyoon and Hansol. Which, ohhhh the girlies in this show <33 I LOVE SEYOON. She's just as awkward as Haekang (they were literally made for each other) and just such an interesting character and her and Hansol were just adorable I loved their friendship. (Ok quick sidenote, Seyoon and Haekang were such an adorable, dorky main couple and they really highlighted just how silly teenage love is I adore them)
And the other characters were just <33 I love Yoondam, Yoochan, Yongtae, I adore all of them and their bond with each other, especially Yongtae and Yoochan their brotherly bond was literally so sweet.
And now we get to singlehandedly my absolute favorite character in the entire show and one of my top kdrama characters of all time, Jeong Insol.
Ohhhhhh, Insol. Literally what do I even say about this man. He's top of his class, his dad is like the principal or smth in the school, he has no friends, he's super annoyed by Haekang and the others, and he so badly wants to join the badminton team and be friends with them. WHAT AN AWKWARD LOSER I ADORE HIM DEARLY. Idk seeing his growth just kinda got me. Like him working so hard to be able to be on the team and him genuinely growing to love it and being apart of the team and really becoming apart of the friend group like ..... AUGH I LOVE HIM. And yeah he and Haekang have my favorite dynamic in the entire show. I love how they go from bickering with each other and being so done with each other to being besties THEY MEAN THE WORLD TO ME. Haekang standing up for him and Insol being the analytical one and doing everything to try to help Haekang strategize for matches.... THEY !!!! THEYYYYYY. Literally I could go on and on and on about this show it means the world to me and makes me feel just so AUGH <333 THE VIBES ARE SO <333
This is what happens when you put the queen herself Oh Nara in your show like !!! SHE !
And ofc, as a Prison Playbook fan all the cameos ended me like the Park Haesoo Anysong one took me out and OFC HANYANG GETTING HIS HAPPY ENDING!! I'm pretty sure every Prison Playbook fan lost their mind watching that like.... LIKE !!!!!!
Anyways this show is extremely heartfelt and such a fun watch to take you back to silly high school sports vibe with an adorable found family <33
