There were some choices made.
Let’s be honest. This mini series left me quite disappointed. As someone who is a big fan of OnlyOneOf and specifically Nine and Mill well…What I liked: obviously I was super excited about Nine and Mill. They have always caught my attention. They have such natural chemistry and they always have me on the edge of my seat. The soundtrack was obviously 10/10.
What I didn’t like: Not a huge fan on the writing. I’ve seen many people say they didn’t like the acting when tbh it wasn’t even that bad. I’ve seen worse acting trust and believe. I liked how they incorporated the band mates but my god could the writing not have been just a little better?
Honestly we could've scrapped the angst storyline they wanted to give and just gave us more bonding moments and scenes between our two male leads.
I really hope this mini series won’t deter people away from this amazing group and for the future projects they will give us. There was a kiss scene and I wished it was placed differently with different circumstances revolved around the kiss but I’ll take what I can get. I’m not sure what budget they were running on but the main few issues I had with this mini is for the exact fact that it was a mini series and not long enough episode. If it was longer than most of the problems could’ve been fully fleshed and I’m sure the show would’ve had a better outcome with the watchers.
Overall, it’s a very short mini series with an amazing cast so it won’t kill you if you do or don’t watch the show. Anyways regardless stream OnlyOneOf music!

Definitely a watch one time kinda show.
To say that this drama was a let down would be too easy. It’s been a hot minute before we had good back to back consecutive kbls since blueming, to my star and semantic error. I had some expectations considering we’ve gotten some of my favorite kbls in 2023 with our dating sim, the eight sense, and unconditional love. This is my fault I guess for thinking this drama would also make the same ranks. The acting. Nothing wrong with the acting in fact it is some of the best in BLs that I’ve watched. The only reason this show wasn’t a complete bust was because of the decent acting.
The plot. Classic plot with best friend falls in love with other friend and then they disconnect but we all know they’ll reconnect and the roles of who is falling in love will shift. This could’ve have been the only plot of the series and it would’ve crept on by being an average typical bl story. But ofcourse in the last two episodes they throw in the “drama.” I was expecting one of the parties to miss the date because it’s the most obvious conflict for this type of plot but I really hate how they decided to add all this extra fluff of conflict with one of the protagonists mother. The writers really thought “hey lefts give this single mother a sickness in the last episode and have her not tell her son she moved and was running away from debtors.” The issue I had with this was because we never even heard why she needed surgery. Most people might be okay with this but I actually watch a lot of these dramas for the plot. Not just for some lovey dovey gay moments. Which by the way we barely got that in this drama anyways. Why even introduce this women’s struggles and not elaborate on it in even the slightest bit. You have slated this show for 8 episodes and 15 minutes long. WHAT WAS THE REASON?
Don’t even get me started on the chocolate scene. So one of our protagonist has a single mother who does her best to provide for her son. The son feels the struggle and does what he can to save his money which even means skipping meals. His best friend knows this and during the love confession takes the box of expensive chocolates that the poor friend used his money on and threw it down like it was garbage. He was mad his friend bought expensive chocolates on him when he knew he skips meals. This part really irked me because the writers wanted us to move on from this given the fact that when the guys reconcile they have us see the friend who bought the chocolates originally kept the broken box of chocolates in his room. When both guys met up again the douche bag dude who broke the chocolates ended up throwing the same box of chocolates that he broke originally away in the garbage in front of his friend. LIKE CMON. You know this dude skips meals but wanted to buy you something and you showed gratitude by throwing it away knowing he used his money on you. A simple thank you would’ve been sufficient. This part was hella triggering and thinking about it again is making me angry.
I don’t even want to talk about the kiss scene. You know what though let’s actually talk about it.
The first kiss well Can we even call it a kiss? I guess I’ve just gotten use to being spoiled with decent kiss scenes for this year with our dating sim and the 8th sense but damn if we’re going to get a cheap ass kiss the rule is to have a minimum of two cheap ass kisses. The perfect set up for kiss #2 was the chapstick scene. I’m really confused as to why they even had that as a gift from one of the guys to his partner for an anniversary gift if he didn’t mean for him to use it on the spot for convenient reasons such as getting your lips ready for a smooch. I for sure thought anyone with a knack for dramas in general would’ve wrote and directed that scene as after he puts on the chapstick that his partner gave him he would ask him if he would also like some. Or to also try it. No? Like anyone who watches dramas would’ve thought that’s what was going to happen.
If you didn’t want another direct kiss scene you could’ve easily slid by with an indirect kiss scene by having one of the protagonist apply the chapstick to his partners lips then use it on his. It’s giving the directing lacks effort.
The ring part after that was cute so I’ll say those two moments cancel each other out.
Most of the show was more intense and angsty. Honestly would’ve been okay but the last two episodes really threw me off.
I did like how after they both finally got their shit together they went head first into the couple thing and we’re cute or whatever.
Overall it’s a quick watch nothing more nothing less. It’s definitely not making the top 8 BLs of this year list but I wouldn’t rank it with others like Check out or what the duck so I guess it’s just meh. Go in with no expectations and you’ll be okay. If you don’t mind useless last minute conflicts that make no sense then this is for you. I didn’t waste my time but I wouldn’t rewatch it again.
Honestly people these days think they can have a good looking cast and slide on by nowadays with some nonsense writing and directing. Anyways I’m done ranting. Happy watching and pride month^ - ^

Just watch it my guy
Let’s talk about the obvious first. The cinematography is beautiful, Thea acting is superior and the storyline is not your usual run in the mill bl trope. I found this on the day it was released and I’m so excited because I had heard nothing about the series before hand. To my pleasant surprise the episodes were almost 40 minutes long. This was perfect for this story in particular because one of our main leads has unresolved trauma. We get to have snippets of his therapy sessions which gives us an insight of what he’s feeling and what he’s been through. The length of the drama is perfect because normally traumatic events in BLs are usually rushed to push foreword the story. Having the “conflict”start with our two main leads and then resolving it in the second to last episode is perfect because we get the last episode as a fluff. More dramas should do this in general because it’s obviously more satisfying to have the last episode with them being secure and loving than just say the last 10 minutes. Now the actors as individually. Oh Jun Taek did great ofcourse. He really played Ji Hyun perfectly. Im Ji Sub now is just wow. The way he was able to capture Jae Won and display a character with trauma and depression is top tier acting. Not once did his performance fall flat. And together their chemistry!?!?!?!?! Yea overall it’s something new and fresh and you should watch it because I have superior taste when it comes to dramas and if I say it’s good then the source is trust me bro. Watch it.Cet avis était-il utile?

WATCH IT OR DIE
Where to begin? The cinematography is outstanding, the OST had me feeling like I stepped into heaven and the acting is top tier. The love the way I can feel the love with the prolonged glances from Wen and Zhou. One thing about a CBL is we’re gonna still feel the tension and love between the character regardless of censorship. The amount of times I was crying during this show. Oh man and the epilogue episode. The beautiful song and montage of the beautiful ride we went on and the special scene at the end. Literally one of the best shows out there.Cet avis était-il utile?
Watch it DUH
I was in fact completely consumed by this show. The scenery, the acting, the storyline is just giving. I remember the agony of waiting for the next episode and when there was the last episode left and how I felt unhinged. I feel like this series probably should have been at least a 7 or 8 episode series to fully flesh out their problems but nevertheless I wasn’t disappointed. You know though what they say “ all good things must come to an end.” What heartlessness person ever came up with that? Nah I say we continue until we can’t no more. Anyways I love a good ole quiet BL. I still can’t get over how good looking Suzuki Kosuke has gotten since Takara-kun to Amagi-KunCet avis était-il utile?

Quick watch you should watch.
Honestly people are being way too harsh on this drama. The acting was really good compared to many dramas I watched. Yes the recaps could’ve been shorter and yes it felt a little fast paced but when the budget is only so much then that means the drama is also gonna be so much. Many people didn’t like the ending which honestly I’m not sure why. Yes there could’ve been maybe one more scene to solidify it but the ending left us feeling optimistic. It is insinuating that they’ll restart their story over but with more of a solid future. Overall the main leads were great and so was their chemistry. You can’t please everyone.Cet avis était-il utile?

Very nostalgic
I just love this drama. I’m a sucker for cinematography. I just love whenever I watch a drama and the flashback scenes are done in a blue hue and have a hazy look to them. The shot automatically becomes nostalgic and warm. I love the main leads. Their chemistry was great and so was the acting. If you have a good story but no chemistry then it’s not good. If you have good chemistry and bad plot then the show is meh. But when you have a good plot and great chemistry then you get a 10/10.I love how there wasn’t no unnecessary drama with any other characters. There was a moment whenever I thought maybe another character was going to cause an issue however the writers of the show didn’t do that and instead introduced a possible love interest in the future for them instead.
Anyways you should watch it because it’s quick and visually appealing.

Wonderfully messy
I like many others have been counting the days for this show to air. As usual GMMTV has another iconic show on their hands. The acting: I already knew the acting was gonna be good because of the beautiful pairings we had for the casting but I was still so pleasantly surprised at how much more everyone had gotten even better. Khaotung and First blow me out of the water every single project they do but this one right here is the one! Just breathtaking. THE CHEMISTRY.
Force and Book are another pair that have stolen my heart. Book has really shown how versatile he can be going from a boss and a babe to only friends. When I heard Mark and Neo we’re gonna be paired up I was so excited. People were upset that Louis wasn’t going to be with Neo but I just knew Mark was gonna be such a good pair with Neo and give us what we needed. And I was not wrong. Like I was nowhere near wrong. Like at all *insert the blushing emoji.”
Finally GMMTV has given Mark his time to shine instead of giving him the side character treatment.
The story: the story is messy as hell and so scrumptious. This show does a beautiful job at discussing difficult topics and showing the process of not so pretty consequences. I really just want to highlight GMMTV for not giving all of the couples “happy” endings just because the pairs have wonderful chemistry. One of my favorite things to come out of this show is you should love yourself and not lower your standards for no one. Absolutely gonna miss this series forever hoping for a season two.

Historians will say they were roommates
There is something about JBLs that just take the cake. There’s not much that I don’t like about this drama tbh. I say I’m not a friend of friends to lovers but lowkey it’s growing on me. Maybe I’m just not fond of Hetero friends to lovers lol.Anyways, the vibe you get is that the friend who seems so perfect can’t keep a girlfriend well bc it’s kinda obvious that he doesn’t want too. He swings the other way ya know. And he high key is in love with his roommate/friend and probably for a while now.
They have such a raw, natural and caring friendship which makes it a healthy journey for them both when discovering if they are ready for more than being just friends.
Anyways, the height difference is killing me in a good way and they’re so cute together.

It was okay
There’s some good and bad qualities about the show but honestly I’m not even bothered. The main couple got me giggling and feeling all cheesy so I’m hooked *insert blush emoji*.Genuinely, this show could have the trashiest plot, and I wouldn’t even care because of Wela and Khemthis *blushing emoji*.
I love Seji and Japan but I hate a love triangle (nothing personal for the character Ken).
Honestly I got bored often and felt like some storylines were unnecessary and lack luster.
Overall the drama was okay. It wasn’t terrible but not the best also.

Should’ve watched it sooner.
When I first heard about Dark Blue Kiss, I saw many mixed reviews. I saw more negative than positive so I put it off. Boy what a mistake that was. TayNew really has been that pairing since the beginning. The natural chemistry and comfortability. It’s genuinely something you cannot fake. The story- gworl I laughed, cried, threw my self against the wall (mentally) and left at the end with a fulfillment that I should’ve experienced sooner.
It would be crazy if I didn’t mention Pond and Gawin. They’re acting when it comes to their characters as Sun and Mork *insert giggling emoji*. The flirtatious eyes were all I needed.
Anyways it was good and should’ve watched it sooner.

Watch it for my sake
Absolutely love this drama! Yes there were times where I was like “what is actually happening” lol but it’s was not in vain! The acting is great, the story was good and the camera work was beautiful. I laughed, I cried and overall was left with fulfillment. There’s really nothing better than a good story line, good acting, some great kisses*insert smirking emoji* and a happy ending! One of my favorite BLs and will surely be even years to come!Cet avis était-il utile?
Absolutely watch!!!!
I love this drama. There’s something about Jbls that make my heart flutter. The perfect mix between sweetness and angst. This drama right here is so captivating with not only an attractive cast but one that can ACT.The actor that plays Kai plays his roll a little too well *insert crying emoji* and so does the actor that plays Hiro.
Actually the entire cast is really good and the scenes feel natural. I really like the cinematography of the film.
Ofc the downside of jbls is they’re too short in length and episodes.

Shout out to Hosaka
This was such a cute little drama. Starts off rather fast which I liked because it gives us more time with the characters to see their growth and feelings evolve. Both main leads are crazy beautiful. Saw some reviews who didn’t like the acting but honestly it wasn’t bad. In fact I think they did well. I am not a fan of friends to lover trope but I swooned over these two.I love Hosaka who gave solid advice all around to our main leads. I remember that actor from Jack o frost! Hopefully he can land a main lead in the near future because he’d be so good!
The drama was short, sweet, and will leave you wanting more.

Silly goofy lil drama lol
Look it is not perfect but at the same time it is lol. Ye Chan comes off as silly in the most possible way but I would go to battle for him *insert crying emoji*. This is a cute lil drama that you can watch if you need something light and fuzzy. The only thing that kept throwing me off was Ye Chan calling Yul bro which in his dialect made it sound like he was calling Yul “ham” all the time at least to me TT. The main leads are so adorable together and hopefully we can see more of them! Ye Chan literally is like a life sized golden retriever. You should watch this if you want something light and easy.Cet avis était-il utile?
