So, I was needing a quick fix of BL and just watched the cut of this series. This review is going to be short and only for the BL storyline. I have no idea what happened in the rest of the series. That said, I really liked how the BL storyline played out. I like how naturally they were drawn to each other and then the seme's anger the next day, but in the cut and I assume the overall series they didn't explore that very much and it just faded away. Of course, they kiss in front of the entire wrestling team and loudly declare their love which earns them a thousand stars in my book, and then they took drool-worthy photos of the entire club to raise money for practice equipment, so, yeah, this storyline definitely did it for me lol.

I really, really liked this series. I don't know what made it stand out from the rest in my mind, but something about it just stuck with me, and I absolutely can't wait until season 2.Maybe it's because it doesn't take place in a school, or because the characters are all so unique and well done, or maybe it's just because of how in your face everything is, but I just really enjoyed every moment of this show. It is very funny, very authentic, but also tackles a lot of issues like bullying and consent and makes you feel a lot of things.
The side story I could have done without, though. While it starts strong (and like, whoa, what an introductory scene) it sours very quickly and the remainder of their story is just so incredibly sad and frustrating. It's kind of an odd choice to pair such emotions with the almost lighthearted and sweet love developing between the main couple. It was barely tolerable, but the main storyline just had me at hello and there was no way I wasn't going to keep watching. Also, while their story was intense and heartbreaking, I think they also touched on a lot of topics and explored a lot of important things, even if it was while one or both characters were sobbing uncontrollably.
I guess overall it was a bit more mature than I have seen in the BL shows I watch, and the story was super complex and pretty well-written. It produced a wide range of emotional response and conveyed a lot of important messages and came to a really good conclusion.

This may be the best Thai BL series I have watched, and I've been watching a lot lately. It is the complete package. This series has all the things. It satisfies all my needs as a viewer. The story is complex and engaging, the characters are amazingly developed and have incredibly chemistry, and it has all the moments. It makes me laugh, it makes me blush, it's overall just a great series and doesn't have flaws.
It could be a bit more, I won't lie. There could have been another pairing, but honestly they gave the couple exactly as much story and screen time that was needed without any unnecessary drama or tropes that you see in other series. I'm just greedy and want more. :)
Kongpob is just the smoothest. His lines will have your heart falling to your feet. Every episode. He has epic game, endless mojo, and just sweeps everyone off their feet. He could make me his wife any day, and he could take everything I own. Seriously. And Arthit just crumples (in real life, watch the special!) at his every move and it's just too much for my heart to take. Their chemistry is next level.
Also, their relationship is so mature. Which I haven't seen before. I've watched a lot of these where the jealousy and uncertainty and insecurity is exaggerated and it is irritating. They don't have that. They are clear, take time to consider each other, and really respect each other in a way you don't see too often in these dramas.
It's just the best. The best one I've seen so far. I would give it more than a 10 if I could.

This was a very cute miniseries and I enjoyed it a lot. It had a decent amount of scenes that made my heart race, along with some well-placed conflict and intriguing drama. It all fit very well within the time allotted - it didn't feel like too much or too little, at least for the most part. The acting was great, the story was great. I was disappointed that the third pair was left very oddly unconcluded. Hopefully there will be a season 2 and that will be figured out! It is definitely a great watch, a few hours well-spent. Overall, this was a solid, sound story with absolutely AMAZING characters and actors. I loved every minute of it, and the main storylines were well-written and excellently portrayed and I was incredibly invest in them - all of them EXCEPT Phubet. But we'll get to that later.Knock and Korn might be the best characters, or best actors, that I have seen in any BL so far. Their chemistry and the emotions that they have the ability to portray on screen are captivating. They go through so many ups and downs and are the victims of the juiciest evil subplot I've ever seen and their intensity at every twist and turn shows on their faces in a way I can't explain. They move through the expected phases of their relationship so naturally, unlike so many other dramas where things always tend to feel forced, or they are put into super weird situations to alter the plot in their favor. Their love seems so genuine and their decisions make so much sense. I never got mad at either of them for their reactions, like I have at other shows.
I feel like I need to give Yihwa like... And entire page? An entire novel? But at the same time, there aren't enough words? Yihwa is... The best friend anyone could ever ask for. Her personality is amazing. She is absolutely stunning. Supportive. Caring. Passionate. Kind. Smart. Just perfection.
Farm and Bright started off pretty well, and I actually really appreciated the poly angle, although I don't like where it ended up. I do see that where it went is where it could go, though. As much as I'd hoped for a healthy poly portrayal, Farm is that character and that was the only outcome given the situation he was put into. I don't know where it goes in Bad Romance, but I'm not looking forward to how hard it will be to watch. Even the last episode was cringey, seeing the innocent Farm so dark so suddenly. Ugh.
The antagonist storyline in this show was EPIC. I've not seen such a good, dramatic, well-thought out antagonist in ANY of the series I've watched, this is completely a first. Especially because it lasted the entire series. There were some antagonists in other series that would last an episode or two, but then fall off. This bitch, however, was not exposed until the end, and was even expertly and slowly disclosed to the audience. Like, even we didn't know she was an evil bitch until well after she had been an evil bitch. It was excellent. I was so here for it, the entire time.
And now I'm gonna talk about Phu, the handsome playboy who sees something he likes and will stop at no end to get it. Aka EW. He's not supposed to be disliked, I don't think, but I sure dislike him. He gave me the creeps the entire time, and there was one episode where I just legit yelled at my TV about his toxic ass being toxic. He 'falls' for the teacher who he barely knows because she is hot or something and then he won't take no for an answer. She is firm and clear with him and he doesn't respect her at all - he risks her career and never even for a moment considers her feelings as he continues to pursue her and manipulate the shit out of her until she gets with him. He blackmails her and ambushes her and even yells at her once that she is running away from her problems when she bans him from her class. Like, no you rapey asshat, she's running from you because you are a toxic monster. But she caves when he says that and is legit tricked in such a stereotypical way, again and again, until she thinks it's her idea to get together and I'm just like this is a case study on toxic relationships right here. Ew. So much Ew.
I really wonder where that is going to go. I didn't watch Bad Romance first, but I wonder if their relationship is toxic as hell in that one, and if that is the case, and they wanted to show how that toxic relationship started, I will come back here and give this show ten stars. If it's intentional. I hope it is, I hope that that isn't a standard for love anywhere in the world, because that shit isn't love.
Anyway, I loved this show almost as much as What the Duck, actually maybe more. Maybe. We'll see.

I was really into this show from the very start, especially because of Pan being a lesbian. Of course, when that changed, I was slightly apprehensive but I accepted it, since I guess some of the characters are bi/pan and I can't be mad at that since it's still gay af. :)I really liked the main couples chemistry, although it seemed forced the first episode or two. I will say, there was that one scene, and for the first time watching a BL show, I understood why one person was pushing the other down. Usually, it's nonsensical to me and seems like a forced way to get us fujoshi's hearts racing, but this one wasn't like that. I was uncomfortable with Coach Tee and Kan at first, because that's hella inappropriate and like, yeah, but I really felt it SO MUCH when Waii lost his shit and was like 'how is it worth it to be with a man when it tears everything else apart?!' Damn, that was some good writing. That storyline was so complex and so good, honestly this show in general had really good characters and writing, especially when put up against other Thai BL shows that I have watched. I get off on emotionally mature and complex storylines almost as much as I do the boys doing the dirty so this was definitely a good one for me.
I also really liked Wan. Like, a lot. She wasn't typically pretty or vapid or controlling like you see with female characters in these shows. She was grumpy and weak and strong and vulnerable and honest and quick-witted and just a really well-written character. I like that she didn't take any of Min's shit and forced him to actually take a look at himself and be real.
The Pan and company storyline was extreme and I honestly couldn't vibe with it. I liked that we were getting some lesbian representation, but didn't necessarily like how it was handled. Really wish she would have stayed with her GF and that her and Fah would have just stayed friends. But whatever.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind Achi and Kluay getting a spin off, as I really liked their relationship even though apparently they still hadn't gotten together in the epilogue. Sounds fake, that was true love right there.
Fuck Coach Mai and all her bullshit.
Also, where tf does Apo even live? They could have put like ten minutes into establishing that better instead of just sticking them all into the coldest hotel they could find. Like in Make It Right 2. Like damn guys a picture on the wall would at least not have me distracted from the story. You know who lives places like that? Psychopaths. That's a psychopath's home, guys. That's all I can't think when you throw my well-written boys into these lifeless hotel rooms.
Overall, it was great. Very well-written. All the feels. Some serious detractors like lesbians not really being lesbians and some of the world's most unprofessional coaches, but all in all I really liked it.

Okay, everything about this series is absolute perfection EXCEPT for the two random subplots that make no sense to me whatsoever. Which would be the brothers whose names I can't remember, and the football team captain and his little brother's classmate or something? THEY COULD HAVE REMOVED THESE ENTIRELY AND FILLED THAT TIME WITH THE COMPLETION OF FUCKING TIN AND CAN! I'm not even going to go into why these stories are unnecessary. They are confusing and half-baked and out of place. Also, the latter of the two is HELLA NOT OKAY. And I normally don't mind me some fictional lack of consent here and there, but it just wasn't okay in this case. Let's just erase these two from memory and focus on the rest which is entirely made up of PERFECTION. Gosh, it started so long ago I'd almost forgotten what happened at the beginning. Ae and Pete literally collide in front of their school, and then become fast friends. Pete is gay, and is being blackmailed by a jerk guy, and when Ae finds out he gets fiercely protective of Pete and saves him from the situation. They become closer, and while Pete already knows he is all gay for Ae, he knows he can never act on those feelings because Ae is straight. Or he thinks so, although Ae has never actually been in a relationship or had feelings for anyone before... Until now. And I love that it is him. That Ae goes through all his confusing feelings and is the one to pursue Pete. Their relationship develops so well, and it establishes itself solidly in the middle and they just love each other so wholly throughout the remaining episodes.
And then we have Tin and Canteloupe. Oh. My. Goodness.
Healthy, mature relationships are always going to get a ten out of ten from me, but for some reason my poor fujoshi heart just can't stop doki doki-ing at a toxic tsundere pairing. ESPECIALLY this one, because it takes it to a new level. Can hates Tin right off the bat, and Tin just loathes everyone, so it's like tsundere times ten up in here and I've already died. I love that they come together through so much negativity. And I like how it happened. There is a moment when Can let's his hatred get out of hand and he essentially cusses out Tin after Tin tells him a story about his life and then pulls back and pretends it isn't true because he doesn't trust people, and then Can feels so guilty and goes out of his way to apologize to Tin. I really liked this because it was so much character development in one scene, and was the turning point in there relationship. Literally, Can had to childishly become the villain in order for them to become friends, and then more. It was just well done, overall, and even if it wasn't finished and will never be finished, obviously they were intended to be together. I like how uncertain Can was, even though he agreed to be courted, consented to kisses, and even got jealous, and I like that he was so overwhelmed by all of those new feelings that he broke it off in the last episode. I know he just needs a minute to sort it all out because the feelings are there and they are strong and unfamiliar, and that he would have pursued Tin relentlessly in season 2 and that they would have been together forever.
I hope that whatever drama happened between whoevers managers can be put aside and they can do a second season, or at least that they do a spinoff series to focus on Tin and Can and maybe even explore the other two storylines, make them less useless. It would actually work well, because Ae and Pete are as established and as solid as they would ever be at the end of season 1, their story could easily be closed there. Here's hoping.

This series was adorable. Porsche is just sweet as heck and his attempts to woo Emma are super cute. I think the premise of Emma being afraid of dogs seems kinda silly at first, until we learn why and then it's like, yeah. Poor AnAn!The attempts Porsche made to get them to join the club were kinda icky, and I didn't like how far he was willing to go to make that happen. It was a serious flaw to his character that was brushed over when it came out because he was charming and persistent, which is kinda icky in my opinion. I wish he had been held more accountable for that.
The real reasons we are here, though, is Pik and Rome, so I'll get to that.
Pik doesn't deserve Rome, as so many of these storylines go, and they don't confirm their feelings in this season at all. They were still cute, and their storyline developed well. That candle-lit evening, I love how genuinely confused Pik ended up being. They end up spending all of their time together, and grow super close, to the point where they are almost, technically dating, and it's enough to keep me clicking to the next episode to see where they end up. Their story makes up for every flaw the series has.
Season 2 is worse for Porsche and Emma but worth the watch because of Rome and Pik!!

This story started off with great promise and excellent characters. Mork was just about the cutest guy you've ever met, and initially their dynamic actually surprises you. Their relationship shifts back and forth throughout the first few episodes and it's very well-told. You don't realize who has what intentions for quite a while and it's surprising when you determine who wants what, and who wanted what back when they were 14! I'm rarely surprised, so that gave this story such a high potential for me, only for it to just fall apart from there. There are so many plot holes, it's unmanageable. And the story takes some odd turns, for no reason, and there are a lot of things that aren't explained at all. They are on and off to the point where I actually wondered if the videos I were watching were listed out of order or something. The production value was low, as it is with a lot of these LINE dramas, but I feel like they could have done a lot better given what they were working with.
And, there is only one couple, which after watching other BLs where there are many pairings, was almost disappointing, especially since the brother and his friend are definitely gonna be together eventually. That plot is also riddled with holes and is confusing in a lot of ways.
Honestly I lost interest, especially when the unnamed sickness struck one of the characters and put him in a bed with a taped piece of bloody gauze on his head for two episodes. That was just ridiculous.
I could have stopped early on, after they kissed, and everything would have been fine. It would have been a great show. But it just unraveled after that.
Still, the actors are adorable and have great chemistry, so it's decent if you are out of other stuff and just need something to pass the time that will make your heart go doki doki.

This drama follows the romance between several couples, but the main one is Tee and Fuse. Their story is complicated and at times unclear/inconsistent, but overall it will make you doki doki for sure. Besides the nonsensical love triangle that really doesn't track with the very first scene of episode one, their story is fine. Tee deserves better than Fuse. Now onto the couple that really matters. Frame and Book. The start of their story is barely consensual and uncomfortable af, but soon you will discover that their love is all that matters in this world. I hate that the writers gave them that start. But in the end, Book and Frame are everything and more.
Wit, Es and LookMo are stereotypical side characters, obsessed with porn and providing support as well as a lot of heckling from the sidelines. It's hard not to talk about season 2 here.
I absolutely love Rodthang and Nine. In season 1. Because that is what we are talking about.
There is also some FEMALE representation this season that matters. I mean, I'm here for the BL but I seriously appreciate the shout out to girls in this series.
There is plenty of romance, bromance, and sex in this series. Lots of drama, complex characters and some seriously genuine connection.
Some of the kisses are not real, which I read was because of the cast's varied ages. Whatever, boys, press your mouths together, it's all the same to me.

Season 1 was so much better than season 2, but it does give us the closure we need, eventually.Where do I even begin? So, first, they randomly decided to throw LookMo and Yuk together, and it's so weird it takes like half the season to warm up to the idea.
Another thing is that the characters themselves CHANGED. Wit and Es, who I think are different actors, have completely different personalities and habits. They changed the actor for Nine, and cast it horribly (he went from really tall to really short), but most of all they changed his personality completely. He was dumb and bullied Rodthang in season 1, but in season 2 he was this weird, quiet, subservient short dude who spends all his time quietly gazing at Rodthang. Like, what? Ruined all that for me. The sister no longer is with or even knows her best friend/lover, and also doesn't have the same career. Yuk went from a very flashy, strong, proud character to a much less flashy version of himself. LookMo changed entirely with his adoration of Yuk.
Tee is the same, and he still deserves way better than Fuse. Fuse, who keeps trying with Jean and just hurts everybody over and over because he is not a good dude. Ugh.
There is a super uncomfortable side plot with Wit and Yuks homophobic mom that is hella weird.
Oh, also, the setting has changed entirely. They all reside in completely different places and go to a different school and don't even go to the mall anymore which is where 90% of season 1 took place. Like, they rented one loft in an apartment building and made it so they all lived there and just redecorated for each persons 'room.'
And now, why we are all here. BOOK AND FRAME. The real fucking deal, the cutest and most genuine couple, with the most complex character development and cutest storyline overall. This season, their story is like actually canon with season 1, unlike all the others. Book is put into an awful situation and Frame steps up to the freaking plate and helps him through it. He makes a few mistakes, and so does Book, but overall they are the reason why I stay alive. Oh, and they cast some 25 year old dude to play Book's dad and that was weird.
Overall it gave me conclusions that I needed and some that I didn't (Wit and who?), so it was worth the watch, but could have been better. I wouldn't watch it again.

Love Sick: The Series

Of all the BL I've consumed recently, this one is definitely up there in terms of the actors and their chemistry. The main couple is outstanding when they are together, and all the flaws in the plot are outshined by what they bring to the table as actors. That said, there were some things about the storyline that bothered me, and season one fell off for me around episode 8, and I really struggled to get through the remaining episodes.Episode one was also very hard to get through, as the version I found online was low quality and it starts kind of out of nowhere, and doesn't provide much of anything except confusion and not a hint of BL until the very last scene. I could have skipped it altogether, to be honest, and wouldn't have missed anything important.
The cast of this show is large, and there are straight storylines in addition to the main BL pairing. There is also some representation (questionable, but representation nonetheless) for the 'ladyboys' from the Angel squad, who provide comic relief but also some valuable moments in the background as the show progresses. One moment in particular really impressed me, as one of the characters was advocating for the Angel squad, and made a comment about how we can't judge people based on their gender identity. I really think that scene was important, especially since this came out in 2014. The other straight pairings are really simple side plots, with little outcome at all by the end of the first season. I think they were just there to balance out the BL, considering I've read that this show was kind of the pioneer of BL series in Thailand.
The main couple developed well, genuinely, innocently, and beautifully. Their chemistry is excellent and I love that they take some time apart after almost kissing to figure out their feelings. It's so well-done, I give their relationship a standing ovation.
The only downside is that they both have girlfriends throughout the season, and that drives me nuts. It's a theme I see in a lot of series and it just tears me up inside and ruins a lot of stories for me, but it's definitely personal. It's more tolerable in this series than it was in Make It Right (oh my goodness that one was so much), but they are all still together at the beginning of season 2 and I wonder how long I will have to suffer through that.

Just to clarify, the Porsche and Emma storyline brought this season down, even though it was excellent for Pik and Rome.Porsche has moved to a faraway(?) countryside veterinary hospital to do an internship that he didn't have to go to at all and for no reason. He can't tell us why he decided to do that, but he also has stopped answering his phone (which makes no sense later on) leaving Emma feeling frustrated and lonely which leads to their inevitable break up.
As soon as they officially break up, Porsche suddenly had hours out of every day to socialize with this other chick whom he has no romantic feelings for but decides to lead on anyway. Damn, if only he had all those fucking hours when he was not answering the fucking phone for Emma. Like, he meets Friend every day after her classes and takes her to dinner and walks her home - he spends like 3 hours with her daily while he couldn't find time to respond to Emma's texts. I'm not against him leaving - I think relationships should be respectful and allow for these kinds of things, I'm not for possessiveness in any way, but still - he legit neglected her and then found time for someone else. It's sketch.
Also, his character is different. He's depressed, which goes against everything we saw in season 1. He was the leader of a club, determined and tenacious and charming. So I don't know what's up with him, but their whole storyline was hard to watch.
Emma jumps into a new relationship with some rando named Night (WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE AND DOES KONGPOB KNOW WTF YOU ARE DOING?) and it's like, sweet, but also odd and a weird choice for the storyline. Although, (if he wasn't already taken by my sweet Kongpob) I would a thousand times ship them over this new, neglecty, depression Porsche situation. It's not healthy.
And now, the reason we are all even watching this show: Pik and Rome.
It's been an entire year and Pik and Rome have not figured their shit out. Rome knows what's up, and is forthcoming and honest, but Pik is kinda mean and won't acknowledge his feelings. Rome is casually intimate (like hand-holding, sweet words) with Pik, who accepts it, but still keeps him at arms length (although spends every waking moment with him). It isn't until... I forgot his name. Din! Psycho Din comes into the picture and makes his feelings for Rome clear, and Pik turns into a raging, jealous psycho. He acts completely insane on their camping trip out of jealousy, and when they get back it's all forgotten because he instigates a kiss. This show has a history of brushing over some seriously crazy behaviors from our cast.
Anyway, after that, Rome just gets more comfortable up until Din's diabolical plan almost works and creates a wedge between them. But then, it all comes to light and they SORT IT OUT and Pik confesses his love and they live happily ever after (or so we'll see in Our Skyy).
Rome and Pik's scenes are great. Honestly. Every single one of them. Their chemistry is amazing and their intimacy is adorable. I would re-watch their story alone. Actually, if they had condensed their story into season 1 and had two happy endings, it would be ten stars all the way.
Porsche and Emma end up back together, but I wasn't feeling their storyline, so whatever.
