(the overall review was a deduction or summary of ll the other reviews below me)
1. story the story from my point of view was okay from the first 32 episodes but then all of the sudden the plot fell apart which distroyed my interest in the whole story ( am keeping the review short)

2. the acting for me was very poor the actors weren't interacting at all luhan was meant to play a pure and honesty and modest role but as i watched the story develop the love just seemed a bit.. fake the love didn't take time to develop they just out of no where feel in love . as for the actress bextiyar gulnezer is a very good actor as i admire her from "chinese paladin 5" and " the classic of the mountains and seas"
but this was not one of her best works so i rate it 7.5.

3. though i never really payed attention to the music in chinese dramas the music was i bit different from the fantasy element and story of the theme but i added all the reviews for the music and multiplied it by how many people that reviewed the drama below and got 11.5 and i ration the number to what i think it should get is 6.5

4. i never rewatched the drama because the story element fell apart during ep 32-the end

5. overall i got 6.5

Poetic in format

Ancient love poetry indeed exceeded my expectations. I am a very familiar fan of Zhou Dong Yu and Xu Kai’s work, so it came to no surprise to me that their acting and chemistry was indeed spectacular. I want to try and do this review while minimizing spoilers but it’s showing to be increasingly difficult. So disclaimer: spoilers are ahead.
Acting;
The acting was indeed poetic. Xu Kai was a man of shedding beautiful tears. He portrayed the ice cold Bai jue and affectionate Qingmu really well that you could indeed tell they were of two different beings. Zhou Dong Yu did the same aswell in reference to Shanggu and Houchi. Shanggu’s character was extremely soft. She’d often smile alluring brightening up my entire screen.

The makeup and the dressing of the characters also helped with their portrayal aswell. Shanggu often wore white clothing to emphasize on his goldly and poised standing. shanggu also did the same. Qingmu and Houchi, their counterparts often wore baby blue traditional dressing which highlighted their youthful nature.

Character development:
Zhou Dong Yu plays Shanggu, a quirky, spoiled, yet kind hearted young girl born as one of the three true god yet possessing little magical prowess. After thousands of years of being pampered She goes under the care of the cold true god Bai Jue to master her powers. The two grow much care for each other and fall in love.
The storyline follows the typical heroine “save the world” phenomena in which the main protagonist will have to sacrifice greatly for the greater good. What I found rather interesting is that our heroine isn’t born with the innate selflessness that has to be present in order for a sacrifice as such to be made. Rather she learns through thousands of years of cultivation, her destiny and why such sacrifices are necessary. She learns that such an action is not predetermined but rather is a a necessary choice of action needed to protect the world and those that she loves.
Shanggu’s selfless sacrifice then gives birth to Houchi, who is of separate existence possessing Shanggu’s spiritual essence. Similar to Shanggu’s, houchi also has little prowess. Houchi’s demeanor is similar to Shanggu in the sense that they are both kind hearted and quirky but Houchi’s temper showed to be much more calm. She was stigmatized as a child due to being allegedly illegitimate. Initially, I had much love for Shanggu but once the story began to unravel and I began to shed tears for Houchi. I felt like i had much empathy for her. Houchi’s character ultimately suffered a great deal more than Shanggu. The complexity of these two characters was something I loved of a great deal. It greatly held the plot. However, what dissatisfied me was that Houchi’s character suffered a great deal under the hands of others.

Another character that had great development was Wu Huan. Shanggu as a true god required a spiritual beast.
Inexplicable, Wu Huan was given the position out of kindness from Shanggu. Wu Huan would go on to serve as Shanggu’s spiritual beast climbing up the ladder from taking care of her imperial hall to becoming the Heavenly empress and the first female demon god.
Her villian origin story formulated from constant mockery due to her low status of birth in her pheonix clan. She sought to not let her status defeat her and stood out to Shanggu, earning her position as spiritual beast of a true god. Wu Huan’s character showed great jealousy for Yeu Mi, Shanggu’s best friend, envying her prestige as a goddess. At the time Wu Huan had took charge of Shanggu’a imperial hall and the little power she was able to grab a hold on threatened by Shanggu’s soon return. Her return however was short lived as a sacrifice came not too far soon. Once all the god of the immortal realm were being whipped off one by one by the chaos that came along, Wu Huan and lower ranked immortals and lord were left to take over the heavenly realm. Wu Huan seized the opportunity marrying The heavenly emperor, Mo Guang. The heavenly emperors character was that of a self righteous and courteous man. He loved Wu Huan developly and often showed a blind eye towards her scheming deeds.
Not much was said on this however, to my beliefs, she most likely had a love affair with Mo Guangs companion, Gu Jun. As they spent a lot of time together in Shanggu hall cultivating. She wanted gravely to get a hold on power and was able to dismiss her feelings before it was too late.
Wu Huan was able to enjoy her status as empress giving birth to three children and gaining respect amongst the three remaining realms. However, the return of the true gods gravely scared her. Her greed for power led her towards the demonic path. She feared as though once the true gods arrived she would face the same humbling that she had experienced in her childhood. Wu Huan also had commuted atrocities during the great battle, one of which was killing a god. So to hide this she devised many schemes which eventually caught up to her. She also decimated her entire clan to keep her status of power. I really loved the independence her character portrayed. She rarely relied on anyone, including her husband. She felt as though the only one she could rely on was her self and this attitude led to her being able to amass a lot of power as a female cultivator. Though however, her character was evil and she did end up becoming a devil. Her grit was incredible.

Overall:
This drama indeed has great rewatch value due to how dense the plot is. It gives room to further interpretation through deeper comprehension which can only be grasped by rewatching. The protagonists go through three lives together and which each life comes a different storyline surrounding a different character. Each character comes with their own unique back story and challenges which drives the plot. This drama most definitely ranks in my top 10 list of xianxia dramas.

SPIOLERS AHEAD!!!!!!

the story was well plotted and acted for a plot that only had a few epiodes frankly to be honest the only thing that i didn't like about it was the fact that it had only 12 episodes which gave me dram fever as to it was very interesting.

the story was just the usual kwon shi yeon is an overweighted teen who is bullied because of her weight and envies her sister kwon si ah who is a member of girl group miracle girls and is known for her for her beauty and her, when shi yeon comes upon a mysterious tarot and gets a wish and she wish for shi ahs body
OK THAT ENOUGH SPIOLERS

kwon shi yeon played by hong yoon hwa was ell fit for the role as she was well not to offend her but she was fat enough for the role and had the charisma but kwon shi ah's (kim na hyun) atitude was best fit for shi yeons visual so if the really switched bodies forever there might be a benefit shi yeon can lose weigh because shi ah goes on diet's alot and shi ah can have a better vioce and not be tone deaf

2521 is a poetic adaption to our daily lives

This melodrama revolves around the life of once three time gold fencing medalist of South Korea, Na Hee Do.
Hee Do, now in her mid 30s is raising a daughter who is currently at the rear edge to quit ballet. Her daughter stumbles upon her diary containing memories of Hee Do from her adolescent years. I loved how the cinematography had flashbacks parallel to the current events. It helped highlight one of the overall themes of this drama which was the importance of memories.

The female Leeds character was quiet alluring to me. Her character upheld qualities similar to myself, such as her integrity, quirkiness, and majestic attitude. She ends up meeting our male protagonist Baek Yi Jin, who just moved in town after his family went bankrupt. At that time they were both 2219. The two grew a platonic relationship that would later blossom into something more serious. Hee Do would end up being the influence that pushed Yi Jin to keep going in life and eventually earn a position as a reporter, and Yi Jin would be the person that taught Hee Do what love was, as well as what a breakup was.

The love they had for each other during the period of episodes 7-11 was very evident as they showed they deep cared for each other. Around the latter episodes however, Hee Do got open about her feelings and Yi Jin seemed pretty taken aback. From the beginning it seemed as though he wasn’t ready for the relationship. He told her he loved her but didn’t quite elaborate on what kind of love specifically. so towards the finale, the question erupted from Hee Do if he really loved her. Hee Do however, told him frankly of her feelings and that gave him the courage to open up. Their relationship from then on seemed happy. They spent time together and made lots of memories. Hee Do would go on to win one gold medal in Madrid and Yi Jin would climb the ladder from a reporter to a news anchor after receiving a position from New York.

That situation was what really tested their relationship. Whether or not they could be long distance. However, their relationship first shattered when he accepted the position without telling or considering her feelings. Then he took a cowards approach to hurrily leave. Yi Jin had a lot of personal problems and it seemed as though their love, or specifically, Hee Do’s love was not enough to sustain the relationship. They went through a series of three stages of breakup. First being denial, Hee Do already felt Yi Jin drifting apart once he was in New York however, in a way Yi Jin still held onto the relationship. The second stage, which was anger occurred when they came together told each other mean things to express how hurt they were. The third was acceptance, they knew that the paths they were to take would require them to let it each other go. They knew they were made for each other but it just didn’t seem to be their time.
The messages they left for each other towards the end really touched my heart. I couldn’t help but to shed tears. All though their romance came to an end, they recognized and highlighted the good they did to each other’s lives. They did this while being teary eyed and I couldn’t help it. The ending was pretty satisfying to me. It was very realistic because not everything in life will be a happily ever after and their breakup was portrayed in a very healthy and poetic fashion.

This drama has definitely topped as one of my favorite kdramas of the year.

Your Lie in April, known in Japan as Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (???????, lit. April is Your Lie) or just simply Kimiuso, is a Japanese manga and anime and movie.

K?sei is a former child prodigy in playing piano, dubbed the "Human Metronome" for his near-inhuman mechanical accuracy, a product of his mother's overly strict methods of teaching. His ability to play the piano with unparalleled precision led him to win many competitions across Japan and even be invited to play abroad. When his mother died, the resulting psychological trauma caused him to be unable to hear the sound of his piano playing, and he gave up on it. Two years later, he takes up the piano again after being convinced by Kaori Miyazono to become her accompanist. Influenced by her emotional and unrestrained playing style, K?sei eventually finds himself falling in love with her. He, however, does not confess his feelings due to him thinking she liking his best friend, Ryota Watari.

I PERSONALLY LIKED it very much because the actors were able to convey there feelings very well kento yamazaki who i personally love and adore the way he act and shows he's charisma i have watched his movies l dk. herione shakkaku, orange, and wolf girl and black prince and am planing ti watch his next live action move the disastrous life of saiki k.

Don’t watch whatsover; A waste of time

Show was a mess: multiple things rly frustrated me.

1. The main plot was murder mystery but the murder got put on the back burner and it became more of a melodrama of rich kids and their complicated parents and lives.
2. how can you come for revenge for your brother and end up falling in love with the enemy. It really pissed me off, a brother was not standing on business.
3. The teacher-student relationship was gross and did nothing for the plot. Babes rly was just screwing student and got a free birkin bag. It did NOTHING for the plot.
4. I feel like plot twists are necessary for muder mysteries but you can’t be romance twisting. One moment I can’t be thing the FML is gonna end up with KH then the next minute RA. There’s no consistency there, and realistically feelings tend to be consistent, you can’t be pulling strings with romance like that that’s what you do with the plot.
5. 6 episodes in I checked to see how many episodes were left and I couldn’t believe it was only one. The plot was very stagnant for episodes then rushed for the last one. Again, a MESSS.
6. The only true character I saw that was not worthy and well written was He Ra. Her character development from the beginning to end you could really see it and how it fleshed out. It may not have been in a positive way but it helped with developing some type of storyline. Her bickering with the FML was really one of the main things carry this messy drama.
7. Overall, just don’t watch it’s not worth your time AT ALL

2022’s Most Highly Memorable

Upon finishing Alchemy of Soul season one last week in just three days I must say this drama had me in ropes. This drama had all my favourite genres: the fantasy, romance, with a tad bit of historical fiction. Genres I really enjoy primarily in Chinese dramas so I would say there was a bit of hesitation in terms of watching this drama because I was worried that this would not be executed properly. But I must say this drama exceeded my expectations and even topped some of my favourite cdramas.
The storyline of Alchemy of Soul centers around the young notorious assassin Naksu who soul shifted into the body of Jin Bu Yeon, a blind girl who possesses the powers of a great priestess. In the body of Bu Yeon she meets Jang Uk, a young lad who had his torrent of energy sealed at birth. Together they pioneer on a relationship to gain access to their powers and through that end up brewing romance in the mist. Sounds pretty linear right? Well that’s where things get tricky. Through a series of twists and turns, we begin to see the plot unfold in ways unexpected; finding out the back story behind Naksu, Jin Bu Yeon, and Jang Uk. How their childhoods were all interconnected and stemmed from a singular event. The Hong Sisters through pulling out many wild cards in the story we’re able to simultaneously pull on the heart strings of the audience every single episode.
In this season the character of Naksu in Jin Bu Yeon is played by Jung So min who exceeded my expectations. The way she was able to portray her emotions through a variety of facial expressions made me so involved in the storyline. The same can be said about Lee Jae Wook aswell. Allthough, I would say their chemistry could have been a bit better, but this was mended in season two with Go Yoon Jung taking on the role of Naksu.
Overall, this drama is a must watch. Thanks to the Hong Sisters, I was able to let go of my prejudice and found a really great drama that I enjoyed.

i really really loved this drama it gave me drama fever for 4 days straight the plot and story fit together perfectly but i think the drama needed more than 20 episodes to express the true means of it. i also have to be completely honest i really don't think that gong seung yeon really portrayed the character song soo jung that well she didn't seem to have that bad rich girl feel i expected but lee jong hyun did ondal perfectly he espressed how money was just a hobby to get over his mother that was sold to people

i really didn't pay attendion to the music but hey the drama is called my only love song so yeah there should be good music am i right?.

princess pyung gang and moo myung were a couple you could tell from a start that they were going to fall in love as moo myung had great care and loyalty for her and he would always do what she said but from the start moo myung fell for her first but he couldn't understand his feelings for her which left the romance complicated but over alll

this drama was GOOD THANKS FOR READING MY REVIEW
