My favourite "feel good" dramas
-
1. Baiser Malicieux : L'Amour à Tokyo
Japanese Drama - 2013, 16 episodes
Based on the famous manga. This version is a MUST watch if you want fun, fluff and, despite the usual Japanese playfulness, real deep love. Simply loved it and have re-watched it several times!
-
2. Baiser Malicieux 2 : L'amour à Tokyo
Japanese Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
Same as above - love this second season...
-
3. It Started with a Kiss
Taiwanese Drama - 2005, 20 episodes
Taiwanese version of Itazura Na Kiss. Again, this is a MUST see. Brilliant to see the difference in style between the Jdrama version and this one. I love both but this one has perhaps a little more "seriousness"/depth to it, in particular season 2.
-
4. They Kiss Again
Taiwanese Drama - 2007, 20 episodes
Same as above - season 2 is almost better (and those kisses!) Wish I could watch it again for the first time... Yes, it's one of those... :)
-
5. Kiss Me
Thai Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
Thai version of Itazura Na Kiss. I found this version very enjoyable despite taking some liberties from the manga. In my view, not quite as good as the above two versions but still really worth a watch!
-
6. Good Morning Call
Japanese Drama - 2016, 17 episodes
Loved this drama (also based on a Manga) for the pure silliness and fun of it all. I love the overacting in this one (and I don't always) but I think it actually added to the humour! plus, the main girl lead is just too cute.
-
7. Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days
Japanese Drama - 2017, 10 episodes
Second season of the above - I was slightly disappointed with this one as I had really high expectations, but still enjoyed it. And if you liked season 1, then it will be a pleasure to see all of your favourite characters again.
-
8. Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto
Japanese Drama - 2016, 10 episodes
REALLY loved this one! Again, i think it's a MUST see if you want light, fluffy and nice food! The leads are both amazing and have great chemistry. Plus Kento is just.... well you know. =)
-
9. Minami-kun no Koibito: My Little Lover
Japanese Drama - 2015, 10 episodes
Based on a manga. I found this story really really cute. Although not on the level of the ones above in my view, I would still recommend if you want some fantasy elements tangled into the romance and want to reconnect with your inner child!
-
10. Buzzer Beat
Japanese Drama - 2009, 11 episodes
I personally really enjoyed this romance and highly recommend (in particular if you are a fan of Yamashita - simply WOW in this one). I found the chemistry between the leads really amazing (oh and that kiss scene and the music...). There is much more than the romance in this drama and I loved the overall message - love makes you strong (and that includes friendship/family as well as your significant other).
-
11. 5-ji Kara 9-ji Made
Japanese Drama - 2015, 10 episodes
Again, based on a manga. Really enjoyed this one and I would also say it is a MUST see. Funny, even ridiculous in places (as only jdramas can pull off); a real slice of fun and happiness. love it.
-
12. Paradise Kiss
Japanese Movie - 2011
Love the manga... the adaptation was good and I really enjoyed watching it.
-
13. Zettai Kareshi
Japanese Drama - 2008, 11 episodes
-
14. Sumika Sumire
Japanese Drama - 2016, 8 episodes
I really loved the concept/idea/message behind this drama - love knows no age... It was very touching in a lighthearted sort of way. There is an element of supernatural in it as well.
-
15. Nodame Cantabile
Japanese Drama - 2006, 11 episodes
Again, based on a manga. This is really a MUST see in my opinion. The romance element is of course present and intrinsic to the character development but what I found really amazing was the way the leads' emotions were expressed through the music they play/conduct... Just something else!
-
16. Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score - Part I
Japanese Movie - 2009
Same as above - if you liked the first one then why stop? :)
-
17. Nodame Cantabile Special
Japanese Special - 2008, 2 episodes
Ditto
-
18. Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score - Part II
Japanese Movie - 2010
Ditto
-
19. Bromance
Taiwanese Drama - 2015, 18 episodes
This was a real gem for me... although the story is rather cringy sometimes, the chemistry between the main leads is just phenomenal (some memorable kisses). I loved the great work the actors did, particularly Baron Chen's portrayal of his internal conflict about falling in love with a man (or so he thinks =P). Wish I could watch it for the first time again!
-
20. Boys Over Flowers
Korean Drama - 2009, 25 episodes
Based on the manga Hana Yori Dango. I have watched most versions and the two I have listed here were my favourites.
-
21. Meteor Garden
Chinese Drama - 2018, 50 episodes
Again, based on the manga Hana Yori Dango. One simply has to enjoy seeing the main girl lead kick this arrogant brat in the face! Never ceases to make me laugh... I really enjoyed this cute faster paced version - likely because it was fast paced there were never any draggy moments.
-
22. Full House
Thai Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
Probably my favourite version of Full House. Love the chemistry of the main leads (despite not having much in terms of kisses...).
-
23. Just You
Taiwanese Drama - 2013, 21 episodes
Taiwanese easy going fluff - This is a very enjoyable watch if you're looking for something to get your mind off things. Nice chemistry and Aaron Yan is always nice to look at :)
-
24. Fall in Love With Me
Taiwanese Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
Same as above!
-
25. Murphy's Law of Love
Taiwanese Drama - 2015, 19 episodes
Same again... :P
-
26. You're My Destiny
Taiwanese Drama - 2008, 24 episodes
I really enjoyed this drama. It is not just all fluff and there are some more "emotional" parts to it but I liked the story line a lot and the chemistry was good. I haven't seen all other versions though so can't compare (yet)!
-
27. Devil Beside You
Taiwanese Drama - 2005, 20 episodes
Brother/sister (not really :P) love. worth a watch; it stayed on my mind for some reason...
-
28. Someone Like You
Taiwanese Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
Really touching story.
-
29. Oh My Venus
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Fun and just adorable.
-
30. The Heirs
Korean Drama - 2013, 20 episodes
Not anything crazy but still worth a watch in my opinion, cute and OMG Lee Min Ho ...
-
31. Coffee Prince
Korean Drama - 2007, 17 episodes
Another classic and a MUST watch. just love the bromance!
-
32. You're Beautiful
Korean Drama - 2009, 16 episodes
I surprisingly really enjoyed this version!
-
33. Cendres d'Amour
Chinese Drama - 2018, 63 episodes
Long but worth it :) and... OMG Allen Deng... :)
-
34. Love in the Moonlight
Korean Drama - 2016, 18 episodes
Fluff, fluff, fluff overload! I loved the chemistry between the leads and the cuteness generally, and of course Park Bo Gum ... his looks and smiles make my heart melt...
-
35. Moon Embracing the Sun
Korean Drama - 2012, 20 episodes
Great historical drama. It is not exactly "feel good" and there is a fair share of tragedy but it still left me with that feel good feeling at the end.
-
36. Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People Prelude
Korean Special - 2017, 1 episode
Loved this version of Robin Hood! Not exactly a "feel good drama" but still leaves you in that state at the end.. don't hesitate, just watch it!
-
37. Splash Splash LOVE
Korean Special - 2015, 2 episodes
A little gem! If you're looking for a short time travel/historical romance, go no further!
-
38. Goong
Korean Drama - 2006, 24 episodes
Classic...
-
39. Love Sick: The Series
Thai Drama - 2014, 12 episodes
This BL drama is a MUST see for me. There may be a lot wrong with this drama - low budget, inexperienced actors (at the start at least), too many story lines and product placement - but there is something just sensational about it too. As I said on my profile, I think the world would be a better place if more people understood and felt the simple and pure love that Noh and Phun share for each other - OMG those looks.... priceless. Don't stop after the first couple of episodes, continue, it is SO worth it.
-
40. Love Sick 2: The Series
Thai Drama - 2015, 36 episodes
Same as above and more!
-
41. Together with Me
Thai Drama - 2017, 13 episodes
Great prequel to Bad Romance (BL). The chemistry between the two leads is phenomenal and omg they go for it! Max & Tul... :)
-
42. Make It Right: The Series
Thai Drama - 2016, 12 episodes
Very cute BL series. Not Lovesick but it grew on me to the point that it is in my top BL dramas now.
-
43. Make It Right 2: The Series
Thai Drama - 2017, 14 episodes
Same as above and really great second couple!
-
44. HIStory2: Boundary Crossing
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
My favourite of the History BL series.
-
45. Love by Chance
Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes
Really enjoyed this BL drama - although in my view the first half is the best. Perth and Saint have great chemistry (and I have a soft spot for Perth's eyes and smiles)...
-
46. 2 Moons: The Series
Thai Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
Very entertaining. Not the best BL couple or drama but definitely fun, fluff and feel good!
-
47. 2 Moons 2: The Series
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
This is another version of the above. Same comments apply :)
-
48. I Am Your King
Thai Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
I surprisingly quite enjoyed this very low budget Thai drama. It reminded me of Make it Right. it's a bit all over the place but the friendships and main couple are fun and cute.
-
49. Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi
Japanese Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
Really recommend this drama about a teacher/student love. Not creepy in any way - fun, cute and just adorable....
-
50. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
wow... just wow... a must watch.
