BL MASTERLIST
This is a list of BL and/or LGBTQ+ dramas and movies i have watched.
Have been watching BL since early days, Takumi kun and Love of Siam times, so late 2000's early 2010's. I'll keep updating this rabbit hole as i get across to old series or movies i watched as well as the new series i finish. Always with a quick review/commentary.
This will help me to keep track but it can also be good for people that may find some content to watch so i'll make it public and try not to put spoilers (forgive me if i provide a bit too much once in a while, sometimes is needed) but still give a short input of every single one of them.
ENJOY

101. First Love for the Third Time
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
Meh. This is a pass if you aren't like me and watch everything no matter what.
They tried to make a complicaterd ode to forever love but it's just a mess, senseless and doesn't meet the expectations.
I felt nothing and care 0 about everyone and everything. -
102. Fish Upon the Sky
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Is a filler. Feels all kinds of short. Predictable plots, a ugly until he takes his glasses and brakets off, kind of early 2000 american teen romance movie style.
The actors are cute and all. Puwin lips are giving me everithing at this point. This is your upgraded basic BL 2021 edition, full of nonsense, stupid plots, cringe characters and actions... GMMTV has such a great production quality that everything feels better than low budget productions, but they still have a lot to improve when it comes to the actual stories. I really had high hopes for this one, so the slap on my face was harder. Comming after ATOTS, you can clearly see the downgrade. A cute mess that ends without leaving a mark on me.
I hate the shippers and their scenes, the motorbike/dogs one wasn't even funny, plain bad, weird and fakest chrome ever, shocked this quality came from GGMTV production. in general I'm so over this type of shipper characters and fake girlfriends in bl... please let's build a healthier place for everyone, this is making me feel like the frigid, act like a 5yo passive and submissive japanese FL on doramas, is toxic and painful. -
103. Florida Banjeom
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
Is a sweet short ride, worth it for a sweet sunday binge with ice cream and pizza on the side, but you don't really get all that much from it.
I never got really invested in their love story or gave me butterflies. I don't care about what happens next, and i don't feel a sense of sandness after it's over.
Honestly, Eun Gyu felt kdrama style overdramatic, and that's a bit of a turn off for me even when the hottest kdrama oppas do it LOL
Is still a decent show, just don't expect anything beyond that. -
104. Follow The Wind
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
Not bad but quite childish in a sense of unrealistic. I get that this sells but at some point i start to want more realistic portrayalas of guys in their 20's.
It's cute, just lacks. -
105. Forbidden Love
Japanese Movie - 2008
Your old friend from Japan.
Currently it's aged, never was good, but it was what we had.
It has good moments, i remember how blindly in love the older one was and how the other had a hella sad struggling past. -
106. Forever Summer
Japanese Movie - 2015
Sometimes i don't know how i remember all this old school Japanese movies, and more specially how i differentiate them. This is old school coming to end times, 2015. From 2018-2019 things are getting better.
It was your typical: What are this feelings, no, unsure, yes, fuck this isn't right, afraid, better not, sad past comes along, sickness, let's try, too late.
For a while 80% of Japanese BL was this plot line, and sad ending.
Pain and sadness, our gays cannot be happy.
I recall a sweet scene with photos and white curtains. -
107. Forget Me Not
Thai Movie - 2011
A sad but meaningful short.
Memories vs forgetting. -
108. Formula 17
Taiwanese Movie - 2004
This was one of my first Taiwanese BL movies.
Yes, it's quite absurd but for the times wasn't as terrible.
The issue is that the traumas are a bit... eh silly.
But has some comedic scenes that are a bit entertaining and the actors are quite cute.
I wound't say is a must watch but you can watch it as a filler or to go back in time to early 2000's BL. -
109. Fragile Souls
Taiwanese Movie - 2019
Liked the methapor a lot. Made me sad but happy that they could get each others hearts.
Worth every second of those 9 minutes.
Would have watched if it was elaborated into a movie, the plot has potential to look further.
-
110. Friend Forever
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
The start was promising but it went downhill.
The progress isn't well done, needs a better line of time and the characters act a bit nonsensical, specially the main couple. Oil is like, well, if my man doesn't get in line, may as well enjoy my popularity with males. He does some hard to explain out of character and questionable things while the other is struggling with a lot on his plate.
I enjoyed the secondary couple the best, the band singers.
The scene where they first meet (ep. 1), where one falls in love for the other while seeing him busking and then he tries his best to make him enter into his top music school... is cute as hell.
I was disappointed with the slow and badly put together progress and sometimes is hard to see how the other guy starts liking this guy as a man rather than as a friend.
But they have some fluffy cute scenes, borderline bromance tho. Still, i am happy i saw them.
The third couple feels like a filler.
Overall the start is promising but falls quite easily. -
111. Friend Zone
Thai Drama - 2018, 12 episodes
I enjoyed this one way more than i anticipated.
At first i saw Singto and jumped with my eyes closed, even knowing that the BL is a side dish.
The series is quite good, a group of friends that are far from put together, everyone is dealing with their ish, cheating, mental health, fresh from college what do i do, who i am, what i want... Struggling like all of us and making hella mistakes.
Is chaotic, you hate some at a time, then star to understand, forgive, maybe not... it leaves room for all of us to see ourselves in the mirror and use our morals and ideals to decide if some things are ok or not for us. -
112. Friend Zone 2: Dangerous Area
Thai Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Even better than the first one.
Tell me tell me baby... i still jam to the opening song.
We get to see their present after season 1, but most importantly, their past, how they meet, how everything started... it provides a lot of insight on every character and you get to understand and read them.
The feeling of redemption, finding themselves, being confident in their own skin, realizing their true feelings, their mistakes, being mature to let go... but still humanly broken, and making mistakes all over again.
Even if is not full BL is super fun and the BL plot quite a good one. Is one of those BL + LGBTQ+, no separation line. I live for that.
I loved it and still have hopes for a 3rd season. Everything kinda ends well rounded yes, but there's also room and an open circle, just as life evolves, they evolved and will keep doing so. -
113. From Now To The Past
Chinese Movie - 2015
Wet hot dudes, rain and alcohol, sexual tension, sadness and an hetero wedding.
This hardly ends well. Not an exception, be aware. Still, i kinda liked it. -
114. Fueangnakorn
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
It's a mess. Nonsense after nonsense, making inconsistent plots just to make a series that should be 8 eps into a 12 one... and the chemistry is very thin, even if they push sex scenes every episode after the 6 one.
Afer episode 7 i cound't go further, it was torture. Now after a while i just skipped thorugh the rest so i can call it over. -
115. Fujimi Orchestra
Japanese Movie - 2012
Our old school Japan.
Consent? we don't know him in this household, or should i say orchestra?
Teacher and student
Poorly executed, acted and directed. -
116. Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai!
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Kinda.
Feels like trying to jump into the 30 year old virgin is a wizard, but is more bland, the bl is forced and not there, a bromance but please don't touch me.
Japan, wake up. -
117. Futureless Things
Korean Movie - 2014
5 to 10 mins of this movie are BL...
And you can bet that those are the only ones i truly watched.
I saw a few more, but wasn't really interesting enough.
The BL couple are worth the search tho, for Korea 2014 and two now quite well known actors, is a fun ride.
They are cute and in love, military issue.
Those were 5 minutes of sweetness. -
118. Gameboys
Filipino Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
What a cute, meaningful and sweet ride.
This was powerful. A love that overcomes covid, sadness, loosings, distance...
It starts like a cute basic story of two teens , a new way of sliding in your dms, sliding in your streaming. Yes, during covid season, but as a fun game, playful. jokingly... Till you get to know them, their stories, their actual struggles... and everything is deep, as their love deepens as well.
A BL that it's also a LGBTQ+ story, no lines in between, just how i like it the most.
They are so lovable, charming, honest, sweet... is beautiful to watch.
The acting is great, specially from Elijah Canlas, Philippines has a jewel there.
Kudos for the production team, recording with phones during long lockdowns, actors working from their homes, acting in front of a computer... Superb job.
Side note, i watched this while both my parent were positive and i decided to be with them at their house taking care of them. Everything went ok and 0 symptoms, i didn't got infected. But imagine how this felt then, specially Cairo's story.
More than ready to watch the second season. -
119. Gameboys 2
Filipino Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Is just a recicled extended version of the movie.
Not even going an step forward with the ending.
I feel a bit cheated and the way they handle the international viewers wasn't nice either.
Just one or the other, we didn't need both. Let's see if they give us a 3 seasons that it's actually a continuation. -
120. Gameboys: The Movie
Filipino Movie - 2021
If you loved the series, you will love the movie.
Our babies are back!! As in love as we left them, ready to deepen their relationship!!
The acting was everything we could expect from this two talented actors. Being able to reciprocate in situ made the chemistry go even further, if that was even possible, they made it happen. The supporting cast delivered their roles, specially Pearl and Aquilles, they put the lightness and necessary fun, the breathing breaks so necessary in a few key moments.
Plotwise, we got what we knew and continued where we left it. The characters dealing with their new realities, emotions and the family issues, this time more centered on Gab's side. It was very well delivered, i would have enjoyed a bit more time for the main couple to connect and all that. After the series, we all wished and were really invested into them having what the pandemic didn't let them before, and i feel like i needed a bit more of that here, just for them, just a bit more prior to all the people that came at once.
I kinda felt that Terrence and Wes relationship was a bit rushed and needed more story in between, i wished they didn't give us the rush and focus less on that here in the movie, but let it develop more in the 2 season. I feel like i haven't been able to really be invested in their story or see their fellings for each others and emotions develop or flow.
The endind is well thought for us to be eager to see what's next and ready to jump into the 2 season whenever they give it to us, but not too hearbreaking to leave us on the floor bawling our eyes put. A bittersweet but hopeful endind, for now, and we all know is just a see you later.
Overall it maintained the level of the series, and we reinforced the fact that we have here a perfect pairing of 2 of the best young actors from the Philippines with a magical chemistry shy to none.
-
121. Gay OK Bangkok
Thai Drama - 2016, 5 episodes
LGBTQ+, Realism, Community real struggles.
The main couple are hot, good actors, part of the community for real... sad to see them so little on Thai BL.
Back then this was the best kiss scene and chemistry i saw coming from Thailand, now they dropped a bit on the rank but still great none less.
Waited for the second season like crazy, even dropped some coin for the project to come to light. -
122. Gay OK Bangkok 2
Thai Drama - 2017, 7 episodes
LGBTQ+, Realism, Community real struggles AGAIN.
Not as great as the first season, by far, it didn't went how i wanted or expected but still a good one.
Some new life hustle trying to find their happiness, new actors new couples...
Sometimes it wasn't supposed to work. Sometimes you can start anew.
Friendship. -
123. Gen Y
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Sometimes we need to know where to stop.
I was sad watching this. They made a whole ass mess here trying to bring back to life something that is as dead as my ancestors.
Let's not talk about Pi Pha, what a shitty love story they made trying to find a new ship for Bass. Is ok for the actor to move on, totally, but they should have made a new character for him, not break into pieces the love story, making our doc a cunt.
This is kinda like if they make a Titanic 2.0 and Rose learns that Jack told his friend that she was a fling and he was about to drop her after they landed. NOPE.
The secondary couple left us with a sweet tooth in 2 moons but here didn't maintain the quality either, still nothing compares to the main ones catastrophe.
i don't really think this was ever a good idea. Let's cast them in new roles an move on. I'll try to forget this. -
124. Ghost Host, Ghost House
Thai Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
It had some potential with the story, it tried, but never actually exploded the way i hoped.
Just a basic forgettable one. I really never had much idea what was going on because nothing impressed itself on my stongly enough for me to remember.
It lacks but at least the couple connected decently, even if still feels that it was half done. -
125. Given
Japanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Sweet, cute and japanese emotional style. So far on my top 5 of 2021. The main actor, Jin is hot as hell, his face is just right on my alley, but man, his hands, i never thought i had a thing for hands till now haha.
Love the entire casting and love me a japanese rock band drama. No other country conveys music based dramas like Japan, they really express all their emotions through the songs beautifully.I just wish they delivered on the love deppartment as much as in the music/emotional one, more like in the intimacy, touches, development and all that jazz between the lovers, it would be the icing of the cake, but most of the times, Japan is still Japan after all.
The ending credits song, Strange days by Panorama Panama Town is great!! Puts me on the best mood :) -
126. Go! Go! G-Boys
Taiwanese Movie - 2006
Another old school but Taiwan.
Fun at some point, desperately bad at others.
I remember liking the bottom a lot (is a cutie and a keeper) and not understanding why he was in love with his friend that wasn't exactly a good catch, his girlfriend will testify.
Quite eccentric, the trope trying to win the gay contest have some fun ones. Take it for what it is, a nonsensical ride with many queens. -
127. Going South
Korean Movie - 2012
Expected worse.
Not your typical sweet BL
SPOILER:
They went south... yep ;) -
128. Golden Blood
Thai Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
The cringe was hardcore this last episode, i really rolled my eyes every 5 seconds haha. The last scene when the pendants are glued while on their necks... i was about to pass out istg. They were cliché and full of tropes the entire series but the amount of fake sugar in the last episode was too much to handle till the point that i completely stopped enjoying and was an strugle to finish the series.
For me this series started very promising and loved many aspects of it, a good premise, production quality, great taste with the sets (the house was super aesthetically pleasing), cool action stunts for bl, good pairing... But everything went downhill quite fast, the tropes never ceased, their chemistry was lowering when it was supposed to be increasing with their feellings, the sexual tension was nowhere to be found and the romance and kisses felt forced... Added to continuosly repeating the same thing with the mafia trying to hurt Sky in stupid ways, poorly written, characters that made or said things that had no sense and were stupid there... and all this considering that even from the start i didn't took it super seriously, so imagine.
Started as an 8 for me and ended as a 6.5.
-
129. Gray Currents
Korean Drama - 2024, 5 episodes
a mess, frustration, nosense.
-
130. Great Men Academy
Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes
It's a nonsensical fantasy comedic series.
I am not the biggest fan of body swapping, way less with bl content. Sometimes i feel like they use it as an excuse to show bl without actually being bl. Here i am not feeling that bad, because is a magical ride all over, not only in that sense. but still... not my favorite thing in the world.
Didn't like how the handle the "If he likes to dress as a girl is a pervert" thing, at all.
The ending is quite open, it was cute the overall "no matter what", but i won't watch it again for sure. -
131. Grounded
Taiwanese Movie - 2018
Decent short.
Could be better but has some good points and an understandable struggle. The scenery is already worth the watch.
-
132. Happy Ending
Korean Drama - 2024, 3 episodes
It's ok, a bit of nothing.
-
133. Happy Ending Outside the Fence
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
It wasn't terrible but tried to hard.
They always looked like they were living a hell but never told us what happened to be that way just that "something happened".
The first love never looked like they were more than friends with some bad blood around.
The actual end game couple had no much chemistry but the guy that comes at his rescue has the cutest puppy personality and puppy face and man that sold the series for me, shallow here just wanted to see that beautiful smile eyes. -
134. Happy Merry Ending
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
So so. Rushed, i don't really get a build up for them falling in love.
But it's super short so.
Okeish -
135. Happy Together
Taiwanese Drama - 2015, 15 episodes
Quite fun. Family/friendship kind of sitcom.
The BL couple is hella cute. They have some ups and downs on the road, some issues to face after a long term relationship.
They are way different and want different things, are afraid of others... and they have to deal with all that common issues.
Enjoyed the drama but i would only rewatch a few cute scenes if so. -
136. He Says To Me...?
Thai Movie - 2017
An... Ok short.
It fail to get me. There is a bit of cuteness there.
We all been knew about the keys ;) -
137. He She It
Thai Drama - 2019, 3 episodes
The kiss and their cuteness helped sustaining this ship so they could make Ingredients the series.
This is a bad one, nonsensical, pointless.
Thank god they had a 2 chance. -
138. He's Coming To Me
Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes
One of the best series that GMMTV has put out.
The story is what is worth it, but that doesn't leave behind a beautiful OST and great acting from two of the`very best GMMTV actors, Singto and Ohm.
I am not a supernatural stories type of fan, at all, but this is something. The story feels strong, there's weight, deepness, each episode provides more and more insight, and how the love story develops is just... mesmerizingly stunning. Worth every single second. There are some scenes there that alone could outweight plenty of full BL series.
Get your tissues ready, and put the seatbelt in your heart, because this will be a strong ride of emotions. One of those that provides you with a lot of life meaning. -
139. Hello Stranger
Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
It was ok.
Liked the premise, felt that the plot was lost half of the time, stupid stuff to cover lack of story... and a hopeful ending.
I liked it, but not as much as i expected to. -
140. Hello, Stranger
Filipino Movie - 2021
Liked it more than the series.
Makes more sense and the storyline goes as it should. i would have put more meat in some of the plots and not in others but overall this was enjoyable.
The ending... sweet. -
141. Hidamari ga Kikoeru
Japanese Movie - 2017
Is a sweet movie, deals more with the hear impairment issue than with the bl love.
The romance is quite tin tho, if you don't watch one or two scenes you would think that it's a movie about friendship. Sadly, this only covers the first volume of the manga, and there are other 2 where the love truly develops.
Is nice, but if you are looking for a love story, is not quite the place.
-
142. Hidamari ga Kikoeru
Japanese Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
The story is as sweet and tender as i remebered from the old movie adaptation (goes till half of the series more or less), the acting specially Kohei was brilliand and he has those actor eyes able to portray emotions
BUT
I get that this is a great adaptation of the manga, but for me the story lacks a good pay off for the confesion time, for a love so tender, honest, sweet and unconditional, for the acting, specially of Kohei character... this needed a better pay off, is not about kiss not to kiss only, is about how to make the hearts of the fans move, and i just rolled my eyes and felt nothing romantic with that ending.
Overall is great till the last 3 episodes that got me saying, go boys give us nothing. -
143. Hidden Agenda
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
Has some redeeming qualities but a plain boring and poorly acted GMMTV filler.
-
144. His
Japanese Movie - 2020
The movie after the short series.
Japan got his shit together after 2018, they are doing great things.
This movie is needed, specially there, is a discourse, is an LGBTQ+ empowerment.
I just felt that i would have appreciated a bit more about their life together from the mid teens after the short series, till he leaves him to have an heterosexual marriage. It would have added a bit more deepness and layers. You can also watch this skipping the series, is not needed to understand the movie, but you would be missing out big time.
Still, this movie is real, important, their story is quite like the weather there, the gloomy sky but calmly breeze, not too hot, not too warm, just right. -
145. His - Koi Suru Tsumori Nante Nakatta
Japanese Drama - 2019, 5 episodes
This proves that Japan has more to offer than the old school bittersweet and poorly executed BL.
Is a very cute and realistic coming of age short series, a prequel of the movie. Sort but tasteful, the only issue is that the filler arcs get too much focus and sometimes the point should have been somewhere else.
The sleeping in two futons scene got me through it. I was there, trying to be as quiet as i could, stopping my breath.
I wished the ending had more deepness and soul, that's what lacked to most for me. It needed a bit more there, just 5 more minutes mom. -
146. His Cat
Chinese Movie - 2020
China. One doesn't need to say much more.
Potential ruined, barely any substance and you have to read between lines. No physical contact.Again, China.
-
147. His Man Season 2
Korean TV Show - 2023, 14 episodes
Best dating show season i have seen, ever.
SH AND SJ COUPLE IS TO DIE FOR
AND THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 200 DAYS NOW!! -
148. His Man Season 3
Korean TV Show - 2024, 14 episodes
Jungyoong king, You did not deserve what Hanmin did to you.
Youngjoon carried this season for me.
1. Being the one making the group feel confortable and get them out of the awkwardness at first
2. The drama with Myeongkyung where he showed realness (hate to watch everyone act perfect and proper all the time portraying fake personas, i much rather have someone with layers that also makes mistakes get angry, stressed... human). Both are my fave contestants because of that and i understand both.
3. Being straighforward with liking Hanmin and truly being intentional and wanting to make it work, Hanmin did the typical korean fuckboy reverse card, and sadly i saw it comming because of the way he acted from the get go (remember it was his idea to make couple rings on the first date, ear charmer), it came across as a bit trying to look perfect and tell you and do all the lovely things that make you catch feellings and you would think he is into you badly, but in reality he is just trying to look good but without actually being deep and personal, surface level fakeness, enough to make you believe there's a bond there. Because of that it's the only one i don't like.
The rest of the show was a bid meh for me, he gave me all the drama, romance and did all the talk to make the group have fun and all. -
149. HIStory: My Hero
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
The History saga.
A good friend that never fails you... but this one kinda, is just ok. The worst for sure.
I don't really enjoy the swapping bodies arcs, here is even weirder.
There are some cute things and scenes and the top is very handsome. -
150. HIStory: Obsessed
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
And History got better.
This is a toxic love, works for me. They are crazy, obsessed, irrational, powerful and hot.
The acting in the last few scenes... wow. -
151. HIStory: Stay Away From Me
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
My second last favorite from our friend History.
The story is a bit weirdly explained, lacks emotions on the delivery and they don't really feel that much in love.
There are a few nice moments and is watchable. -
152. HIStory2: Boundary Crossing
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
This History installment is completed, but it doesn't feel like it. I left it wanting more.
The 2 year of History was an upgrade from the first.
The stories here were good, cute, sweet, the chemistry was there, the acting, the eye candy, the building up, the moments, the butterflies... and the kisses.
I really enjoyed it. Sad that the movie will no longer be done. But happy that we got this good story. -
153. HIStory2: Right or Wrong
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
History coming through once again.
This 2 year was a good one.
This is an age gap story between a divorced uni professor with a daughter and his sweetie pie young student.
The story is nice, well executed, sweet, full of good feelings. They have a good love and finally everything feels right for once when they meet and fall in love. -
154. HIStory3: Make Our Days Count
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
History 1 and 2 walked so History 3 could run.
This is the best one. What a meaningful, sweet and sad ride.
Their love is cute as if, and the story and acting superb.
Let's give a proper place to the secondary couple, they delivered and hardly i like both couples equally and feel that they made a fantastic job with both in every sense.
This series has serious doses of lovely moments, great kisses and hot sex scenes. Enjoy.
The stories of both couples feel deep, interesting, with layers, just how it should be. Every character is well built, have their background and you connect with them, see them overcome issues and grow their love. Fantastic acting.
This is the first time that i cry my eyes out for a ball of rice.
I am on the shortest side, the one that loved the sad ending (be warned, ep. 10). The acting at the end is just... outstanding. The way those emotions are portrayed it just breaks you into million pieces.
Is not often when you see this kind of pain and absolute devastation without an ending redemption, a glance of hope. There's none, there's no way. I am in love with how such an inner core sadness was projected and we were able to taste it in all her glory. Is devastating but totally profound. This is the truth and realism of that kind of feelings, if you experienced that before, you know this was you, this will always be you. -
155. HIStory3: Prisonnier
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
History 3 is just it.
Both stories are great, liked MODC better specially because of the ending (call me masochist).
But, even with that, let's just state that this one is unique. A plot not seen yet in BL land.
A police and a suspected criminal, both hot dudes that know how to handle a gun (i saw a hard gun in someone's boxers at some point, you ain't lying there my pal), handcuff each others and fight. It delivered, as it should.
There was also love, deepness, interesting arcs, action, sexy moments...
The secondary couple is so cute and fun as well, the perfect balance for the dark side.
Can i just get any of them or all and a birthday cake? For delivery please. We all know what to do next. -
156. HIStory5: Love in the Future
Taiwanese Drama - 2022, 20 episodes
HIStory 3 peaked tbh, I have maybe around 15 bls with a 9 or + and both of those were. Even the sadness of MODC ending (hated by many but actually elevated the story for me) touched my core inmensly, it was very raw and with no redemption, just how real life loss really feels. I cannot watch the box of memories or the "he will always be 18" scenes without breaking my heart, but i did not felt a single scene here, neither happiness, sweetness, sadness... very below the bar and some ridiculous plots and scenes. I was out if it the entire time, 0 invested.
Not reaching me in any way or making me feel their emotions is the worst scenario to me. So along with the 1st stories, the worst ones in my ranking. I would say that it's a series that pass by like nothing to me, i won't recall about it or miss it. But i still hope they make a part 6 tho, i will take this as an slump.
Plot and scrip aside, I'm quite cold about the main couple, for me one of the worst from the entire franchise (just some of the first seasons could compete for that sad rank). I cannot sense their chemistry even when they are together in bed. I never felt like they are romantically in love, not even for a second. First and foremost for the script but in terms of the acting, from Hai Yi side, he at least somewhat tried, worked with what he was given and would like to see the actor in another role but... yes, sorry i do not enjoy He Bo Wei / Tai Che Ni. Nor the character, his personality, eye expresion, kissing and skinship... I don't know if it's the actor who cannot act well, that he did not take the character seriously or that the character itself is so bad that nothing could save it or make the actor try to act like he loves the other guy. -
157. Hold Me
Korean Movie - 2021
A super short. Literallly 2 scenes. It was cute, but nothing else.
5 minutes watching it as a sweet candy won't hurt.
-
158. Hormones 2
Thai Drama - 2014, 13 episodes
A continuation of the first one.
-
159. House of Stars
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
The series is a mess and i skipped half of it.
But there are some interesting things here and there. Also, hot scenes.
It finished with a clifhanger, so they may want to have a 2 season.
Would just watch it for the hot scenes, not gonna lie. -
160. I Am Your King
Thai Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
It lacks on every department. I would say that it's somethig to watch to kill time.
A bunch of early teens that play a card game where someone is a king and is able to tell other to do all kind of things, usually those are making out, wich is nice for us.
Mark did a decent job here, that couple with the crossdresing had some moments, like the bathtube one.
The main couple is a bit strange, friends to lovers but a bf on the side.
The ending is disappointing. -
161. I Am Your King 2
Thai Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
A bit beter than the first one, still badly ejecuted, and bad storytelling and pace of the plot.
This time the card game has less presence, but the scene when it happens is basically 10 minutes of a bunch of dudes kissing each others, pasionatelly but totally weird, like being sucked by a vacuum cleaner and fighting for getting your lips out.
The coupling is complicated and bad thougth as well. brothers liking the same dude, friend liking the friend, boy liked sleepimg with both brothers and changing his mind.
Wouldn't recommend. -
162. I Feel You Linger in the Air
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
This has been one of the best bls i have ever watched, straight to my top 10 no question asked.
The story is entertaining, unique, exciting... and their love story truly transcends
The acting and chemistry was amazing and that elevated it but the story carries all the waight for this to be a once in a lifetime type of series, one of those that leave a dent, a mark in my heart.
The only thing is a wished to get more details about the present time, how Yai gets to know about their past lifes, how he waits till they can meet again...see more angst there and love, see them grow together... but was one scene as usual.
If only the tribal times5 second scene makes me believe that we may have another season and maybe that one and the present life, or maybe even more are shown and talk more in deeep about their bond that transcends every period of time.
I'll be waiting for that to happen. -
163. I Feel You Linger in the Air Special: Scent of Memory
Thai Special - 2023, 1 episode
Kept everything light and happy.
Being completely honest, i missed the energy and feelling of the series, i wanted to feel more, a bit empty.
Also, they did an screening in thailand and we international fans have been waiting almost half a year, so that kinda cooled down the amazing feellings that the series left.
Still, i will always wish for a second season of the series where the present time ones can end up together as their love deserves. -
164. I Go To School Not By Bus
Hong Kong Movie - 2015
A cute short about 2 high school classmates that like each other, a comming of age one. The top is handsome as hell, the bottom looks a lot like Xi Gu from History Make our days count.
Is good. Nothing more mothing less. Sweet, take it for what it is. -
165. I Love You
Thai Movie - 2020
What in the world.
A mess. Pooly acted specially by the older cast. The story is all over the place, the plot keeps going on circles and at the end they open everything, but in a very bas and distasteful way, and there's no second movie / season. WTF? If you were about to do this, better do nothing.
Not recommended in the slightest. -
166. I Love You As A Man
Chinese Movie - 2014
Is one of those that i don't love but neither hate.
I had a hard time understanging how they fall for each other. But when they have kiss or sex scenes, they are into it, so that´s a plus for me to believing them.
The story is ok, a cool has it all guy and a nerdy one, the sencond is the one that follows the first and tries to make him fall in love, witch is fun and not that common in bl territory.
The family against it plot is not very well done,. -
167. I Love You As A Man: Part 2
Chinese Movie - 2015
Follows where the first part left.
They are together, having a tom and jerry relationship.
They make really hot scenes.
*Goship* : The top here has a huge scandal nowdays. He had a long term gf, aparently mentally unestable. They were contemplating marriage, but things went downhill. She "exposed" that he do drugs and cheated on her with shemales a few times. He said that he didn't do illegal drugs or anything and she lost her shit. Nothing added about the shemaless ;)
Back to the movie, the story is again, not very good, and they have some back and forth a couple of times, jokes misinterpreted... meh.
The worse part is how it ends, and leave us with that horrible clif hanger, no 3rd part. NO. -
168. I Saw You in My Dream
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Started with a nice premise but then absurdity came, going in circles when they could go straight, nonsense of explaining everything serious to friends but not to the bf and person who really could make a diference, not making us see or understand how they catch feelings...
I'm so tired of this sloppy bls... they are ruining the genre to me.
I'm not here just to watch two cute guys kiss, i want a story, layers, cohesive plots and to feel the love and emotions.
-
169. I Secretly Fell in Love with the Student Council President
Taiwanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Not bad. The story is your basic teen love but it's well done and very cute and sweet.
No artificial, no acting like caricatures, real kids with their real strugles.
I wished to see more. -
170. I Told Sunset About You
Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
THE MASTERPIECE
No words here will provide enough justice to the greatness of this show. The must watch of the must watch BL and LGBTQ+ series.
I am absolutely flabbergasted, mesmerized... I remember start watching the first two episodes on a row, went to see my family with tears in the eyes saying how i never felt like this watching a show. Because i felt every single thing.
This is one of the most realistic coming of age stories I've ever seen. Is beautiful, has layers, Deepness... You feel what they say, what they don't, what they do, what they don't. You feel every glance, every touch, every breeze, every tear...Every trace on a paper tells you something, the coconut smell comes to you as well, the red color becomes very important, your knee feels a touch.
It has so many deep emotions rooted there that i even felt drained in the most beautiful worth it way possible. Totally rewarding.
The story, the production, the photography, the landscapes, the colors, the way is directed and filmed, the narrative, the acting, the OST... There's no better BL out there. -
171. I Told Sunset About You Part 2
Thai Drama - 2021, 5 episodes
My heart was acting out before even playing press on episode 1.
This show tugs with your emotions in every way possible mainly due to how real, intense and well done and acted it is.
I think that both have valid fears and struggles and they just happen to be on different sides of the coin. Sometimes Teh makes mistakes and so do Oh. Mistakes that we all have commited sometimes. I wanna scream; communicate... Lean on each others!!
At the end, i think that Teh character is real and amazing, super caring and a helper, will do anything for Oh, he overcomes things and is a fighter, loved how he realized his sexuality and in a short time he overpowered the fears and look how open and proud he is now... he is just human. If Oh wanted the moon, he will get it for him, quite sure about that. His issue is that he botles up. I do that as well. He was at a point where he lost his inspiration, his dream, and his old relation with oh-aew. So when he found a perfect source for his lost confidence he clung himself to it. It was more like his dream on one side and oh aew on the other side. This drama is not just about their love, it's about their growth, They can't live without each other, like "you can do anything you want but just don't disappear" there's something that ties them together no matter what, a profund and sincere love that needed more maturity and emotional inteligence to keep being the thing that conquers everything else. It happened.
I could write a thesis about why this series is so brilliant, but i think we all can testify that, and honestly, i am so full of beautiful emotions that now it's not the time to go back, i'm just totally happy about the existence of this piece of art. And totally devastated about this being the end. At least, for now. -
172. I Told Sunset About You The Documentary
Thai Special - 2020, 8 episodes
Worth to watch. For the die hard fans, me included.
-
173. I Wanna Bite It
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Just a bingeworthy fast food delivery. I would describe my experience with this series like when i open my phone and get a delivery from McDonald's. We al know that it's trash food, yeah it's bad, but while eating it, it feels good and gets you full.
The acting is quite bad, so the writting and pace of events, but i quite enjoyed it for a plain binge and now move on. The theme itself is quite cliché but not that much in BL territory so i give it a pass. The actors are insanely cute and they actually had chemistry together and kissed properly. I thought that my standards on that got higher, but after watching 2gether the movie the other day and some trash where the actors are totally unconfortable with portraying gay characters, this is already (and sadly) a point of improvement and a thing to praise here. Liked how it ends, not how is constructed and told, but i liked that they didn't go for the power of love conquers all.
I would have a different opinion and give it a lower ranking if this was 16 eps of 50 minutes each, like if this was a menu from a good restaurant. I want more quality in BL land overall, and the second half of the year has been the worse, but i don't mind some basic and a bit bland fast food once in a while.
So, i'm clearly hungry,
-
174. I Will Knock You
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
This was the perfect mix and perfect definition of fun + fluf.
They made it 90's, love the vibes.
I could live without the "always make a last ark of issue that will be solved in the last ep", that usually is the parents and it was here again. Even been the distance issue would have been a 1000000 times better. But since i watched it in 2 days, it wasn't as an strugle (yep, i skipped there and problem solved).
Still, super cute teen like couple, clumsy, stupdly folish (youth) and tender.
It was teen comedy, tons of stupidly fun moments, very easy to enjoy and leaves a good aftertaste in your mouth. -
175. If I Love A Boy
Thai Drama - 2019, 5 episodes
There's no point here.
Maybe in a couple of them there's a little something that happens, but half of them are just two boys getting along, nothing else, nothing more. -
176. In Between (Sa Pagitan ng Kamusta at Paalam)
Filipino Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
It's an ok series, i like the cinematography.
The couple is cute, and the story till ep 9 worth it. After that there's the clasic jelousy arc that ends in nothing, but a cute last scene was worth the 5 eps that i skipped through.
I would probably not watch it again, but i don't regret i gave it a chance.Sweet, true love, friendship.
-
177. In Between Seasons
Korean Movie - 2018
This is a sad movie.
They are sweet together, but life for the gays cannot be eassy or happy indefinitely.
I pity both guys here, terrible lifes they have. The endind is half happy tho.
Is a good story, if you are up for a very melo one. -
178. Individual Circumstances
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
Mediocre. Just two guys afraid of owning fellings and only getting back together because of work.
Hhmm... Sad because it had potential to feel real, but ended up feeling really fake.
Then their love story is almost non existent, feels more like a bromance than a bl and their longing for each other also feels more friendly than romantic. Even after they are supposed to finally be a couple, they feel like best friends. They give each other an emotionless kinda slow mo peck on the lips and call it a day.
I don't even asks for too much physical contact, but needs more emotions, loving glances, expresions, small gestures... I only trusted their anger moments, never felt the true romantic love, lacks.
-
179. Ingredients
Thai Special - 2020, 21 episodes
After the He She It failure, i came only for the ship.
The production got better with time, wasn't as keen on the food arc till it grew on me. They are cute together.
Don't expect an intense story, is a fluffy slow burn cute love. The second half of the series is way better if you are struggling to pass the first half.
They are going to act together in KinnPorsche as a secondary couple. The ship is getting stronger. -
180. Ingredients Special
Thai Special - 2020, 1 episode
A sweet icing of the cake for this two.
We will see more of this ship in the future. -
181. Irresistible Love 2
Chinese Movie - 2016
You are in for an even more melodramatic and way more dark movie than the first one.
They get madly obsesively in love, and now both are willing to do the most for the other, way too over the top some of those may i add.
The ending here is depresing, very, but the alternative ending came to save us all. -
182. Irresistible Love: Secret of the Valet
Chinese Movie - 2016
Another melo one with a sad bottom that does it all for the son of the rich family and cool top.
Is has a lot of darkness, their scenes together are hot.The story behind them is good and how they explain their love and grow is great.
-
183. Is You
Thai Movie - 2020
A short not worth it.
The bottom is an egoistic dude and the top a very understanding and patient one.
I can hardly find some things that i like about this, but a long list that i don't. -
184. Itsuka no kimi e
Japanese Movie - 2007
One of those old school japanese bls.
This was between the ones i liked the most during those eras were there was nothing great going on.
Is interesting because it explores a double personaily person, witch is not usual in bl. The movie itself lacs, but some good things are there, like our main guy with personality disorder! Man how i like him haha
They have a couple cute moments as well, basic but enjoyable if you see it with the mindset of what it is, a very old one were bl was more taboo. -
185. Jack Frost
Japanese Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
Interesting. Shows how important is to be mindful of your partner, show your apreciation or have proper comunication are staples for a relationship.
They could do more angst but it was a good show -
186. Jazz for Two
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
WTH
Too messy to appreciate a story.
Tae Yi was weird and aggressive at all times and the second lead one as well. Guys that 90% of the time push you, hurt your hands and punch you, scream and tell you hurtful things... and those are supposed to be our main love insterest of the other characters?
HELL NO
The freaking weird ass kiss scence blurred and angled so they don't actually show a fucking kiss between two dudes was the icing of the cake, -
187. Journey to the Shore
Korean Movie - 2020
Very intense, real, heartbreaking.
Probably my favourite short movie ever, 30 minutes that tell you a lot and will impact your life and views.
Sadness, reflexion, deepness. -
188. Judo Boys
Korean Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
Good intentions that end in nothing.
Seriously, what a cliffhanger. The series feels like it ends before really starting. Like, i got to know the characters and boom, the end.
Hopefully someday we will get a 2 part with the actual story being fullfilled. -
189. Jun and Jun
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
A bit ridiculous and boring, but man they are hot.
-
190. Junjou
Japanese Movie - 2010
Old school Japan.
Is one of the classics tho. The manga is an institution but this movie is kinda bad, same as the casting and acting.
A reboot wouldn't hurt. -
191. Just Friends?
Korean Movie - 2009
This is a really sweet short film.
So cool that both actors are well known in dramaland, our straigh sister. Here they are very much gay, hot, steamy make out sesion included.
The story is fun and well made, many funny moments as well.
Almost everything i could ask for a short. -
192. Kare ga Boku ni Koishita Ryuu
Japanese Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
A bit odd.
Knew Yusuke from previous works and he is as expresive and fun as i remembered.
The premise itsef is good, two teachers fall in love. The ejecution is questionable. Everyone is weird there, the father arc is poorly delivered.
The biggest downside for me is that you hardly see their romantic love, there's no much chemistry there.
It has some good, and fun moments so i will try the second season. -
193. Kare no Iru Seikatsu
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Not bad but your japanese absurdity that tends to ruin dramas of how unrealistic the miscomunication actually is.
cute but they could have done so much with this that it pains me -
194. Khun Chaai
Thai Drama - 2022, 17 episodes
My first family Lakorn.
Is not a genre for me, i cannot with all this family jelousy drama nonsense whit questionable pay off at the end.
BUT HEAR ME OUT!
The Bl/gay love story is quite good, loved the ambientation and the characters, the eyes, the story was paworfull... It was good and loving those 2 and the sweeetest brother made me be able to go through all the nonsense.
I heard they are going to have another series, just BL for this two.
Cannot wait. -
195. Khun Mee Patihan
Thai Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
It's a cute thought but i didn't enjoy how it unfolds in terms of the romance. They tried to make us all ok with it and you could see it comming, but no.
It throws away the sweetness and it's a bad and quite painful forever for the character that you feel the most. Imagine his ethernity constricted to be there and watch... nightmares.
In terms of slice of life and family, it's good. I also have a mom with the same disease so i can totally relate on that and have compassion for the protagonist, but in terms of how he treated the love department, he was flawled and failed Tofu quite a lot. We can understand, but it's still a fact. -
196. Kieta Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
The flavor of Japanese BL is as sweet as candy. This not only follows that pattern but also the funny all over the place aura that the iconic Cherry Magic provided. Still, is Japanese BL, with main idol actors, so don't expect a lot on the phisical touch department, this is not even on the Life Senjou no Bokura level, but it's full of cuteness and first crush love vives.
Soujo manga live action took the bl turn.
The comedy was probably the best part, a lot of cute hilarious expressions and moments, i seriously laughed and felt the cutennes every episode. Is not the most iconic piece i have seen but it's sweet to watch and definitely well done. -
197. Kimi ni wa Todokanai
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
A cute light thing.
The typical passive and irritating japanese personality tho that makes things go slowly and have stupid misunderstandings.
But they as a couple and their romance is very cute and sweet,pg13 friendly.
-
198. Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai
Japanese Drama - 2022, 4 episodes
Cute short and well done and told.
This actor has been providing short bl gems, like Him and this one.
They are so inocent, that they just aim to cherish each other. The sweetest cuties. -
199. KinnPorsche
Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes
One of the very few good things that are comming out in 2022.
A new take on BL, mafia thriller with a lot of story, emotions, well done characters, tortured, deep, with their own personality... And the love, hot, real, sexy, intense and all of the above elevated.
Hot and mature actors that did an incredible job delivering their own characters, every single one.
One of those series that could have a 2 season, movie ending or an spinn off and pull it off.
I got shy with KinnPorsche sex scenes... and that tells me something. It was soft porn, no doubt.
And i have to say, Vegas speaking in english turns me crazy, new kink discovered. Just leave the sado out of the equation.
A few things around the mafia trama were dragged or unnecesary and didn't understand the reasoning of many things, but i will leave room for that considering the delivery that this provided.
Overall, a must watch and specially for those who are bored of the same premise that a very few do right, and when it's right is tastefull, but most do it bland, and is insipid. This was a great curse meal at a nice summer rooftop restaurant. -
200. Kiss Me Again
Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes
A prequel where we see how Pete and Kao meet and their love bloomed.
Better than kiss but not as good as Dark Blue Kiss.
It was pretty much needed to love the ship and see how they love each others.
