1. Because This is My First Life
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
This drama explores contemporary themes on careers, marriage, and gender roles, through the lives of three girlfriends. They all have unique personalities. This is a show that's really gotten better from every rewatch, I've rewatched it twice. I don't think I loved it as much as I do now until I re-watched it quite recently, and all of the discussions it's having just hit way harder.

6. Moment at Eighteen
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
"Moments of Eighteen" is probably one of the better high school dramas I can think of. The coming-of-age story is very well done. Not only that the romance absolutely adorable, but the characters are surprisingly authentic, they're not our stereotypical leads. The male lead is my favorite type of male lead – being that kind of quiet, stoic, introspective, protective type, but without any toxic masculinity traits at all. Our female lead's personality is also surprisingly fresh: She's got a really wonderful stage presence, like a really bright, energetic energy that people around her are happy to see her.
