In the stills released on August 8, Won Ji An captivates the viewers' attention with her perfect transformation into the character. From a gentle smile to a determined expression, Won Ji An, armed with diverse charms, appears as the character Joo In Hae, a part-time school health teacher and the owner of a guesthouse, seeking the true warmth in a thrilling coexistence romance with Seon Woo Hyeol, a half-human, half-vampire who couldn't become human by a difference of one day in a century.
Before the first broadcast, Won Ji An stated, "I had confidence that viewers would find it an enjoyable and comfortable work," explaining the reason for choosing this project. Regarding the similarities between herself and the character Joo In Hae, she said, "I try my best, whether I'm good or not, in the tasks I undertake. The only difference is that she has much more vitality than me."
Won Ji An emphasized "active communication and understanding with the director" as the most important aspect while portraying Joo In Hae. She said, "Even before we began, I discussed the initial character settings with the director," and added, "Since it's a work that includes comedy, we decided not to take it too seriously and tried to have fun while filming."
Lastly, Won Ji An showed her passion for the drama by saying, "First love, which will come to Joo In Hae, brings significant changes to her life. The phrase 'Heartbeat' seems to capture this expression in one sentence."
