Fated Hearts has wrapped filming and released a wrap-up special.
Fated Hearts tells the story of Fu Yi Xiao (Li Qin), an archer from Jinxiu Kingdom, who, during a desperate moment in battle, turns the tide by hitting Prince Feng Sui Ge (Chen Zhe Yuan) of Su Sha Kingdom.
The two meet again, with Fu Yi Xiao having lost her memory, and Feng Sui Ge being chased. They work together to uncover the truth, involving the conspiracy between the two countries.
From the trailer, the C-drama promises a tightly paced plot with intense conflict and a stellar cast, set to become a surefire hit in the drama market once it airs.
Fu Yi Xiao, the strongest female archer in Jinxiu Kingdom, is able to stay calm in the face of adversity. She can shoot the enemy commander in the midst of thousands of troops and shift the tide of battle single-handedly. Even when pursued by many, she manages to escape.
Feng Sui Ge, as a prince, not only commands troops in battle but also strategically navigates court politics — excelling in both intellect and physical prowess.
Portraying Fu Yi Xiao is Li Qin. Li Qin has always exuded a gentle presence. Particularly in period dramas, she often embodies a fresh and graceful charm, like she did in Joy of Life.
In this series, Li Qin explores a new character style. Her role as the archer Fu Yi Xiao is marked by heroic elegance.
One particular moment in the trailer shows Fu Yi Xiao kneeling in the forest where Feng Sui Ge has been buried alive. She has a panicked look on his face, and her hands trembling uncontrollably — an emotional portrayal that captures a blend of shock and desperation.
Playing Prince Feng Sui Ge is Chen Zhe Yuan. Though he is a rising star, Chen Zhe Yuan is quite well-known in the industry for his looks. As Feng Sui Ge in the new series, his sharp brows and bright eyes convey the noble aura of a prince.
We also have Chen He Yi in the C-drama.
Chen Heyi left a strong impression as the gentle, reserved, and deeply affectionate Su Rong Qing in The Princess Royal. As a newcomer, his performance in that series was impressively nuanced.
In Fated Hearts, Chen He Yi steps away from the gentlemanly style. His character Xia Jing Shi has a sharper and more intense aura. Judging from the trailer, it seems he will most likely be a villain.
Then there is Xia Meng. The actress shone in Parallel World and To Fly with You.
In this series, she plays Feng Xi Yang, most likely the sister of Feng Sui Ge.
The drama also features veterans and young actors like Xu Xiao Sa, Zuo Ye, and Tian Guang Yu.
Fated Hearts promises to be a pleasant surprise. With a solid premise and political intrigue, the C-drama will build upon the complex layers of the storyline.
