"The Killing Vote" Im Ji Yeon Visits Prison, Intense Mental Showdown with Park Sung Woong Teased

The drama follows the story of a national participatory trial that conducts death penalty votes for heinous criminals and tracks down the enigmatic entity known as Dog Mask that executes the sentences. With its thrilling plot developments, and heart-pounding pace, the drama delivers a powerful impact that captivates audiences.

Of particular note is the gripping excitement of the suspenseful chase during the pursuit of Dog Mask. This suspense thriller genre is the highlight of The Killing Vote. A notable example is the scene in the 2nd episode where Joo Hyun (Im Ji Yeon) meets Kwon Seok Joo (Park Sung Woong).

Joo Hyun connects Kwon Seok Joo to the phrase "innocent demon" that Dog Mask shouted during the mock trial. This connection is due to Kwon Seok Joo's act of personally murdering the criminal who raped and killed his 8-year-old daughter eight years ago, then turning himself in. At the time, Kwon Seok Joo referred to himself as the "innocent demon" during the trial. His refusal to meet anyone before, yet agreeing to meet Joo Hyun after hearing the phrase "innocent demon" and challenges her to guess the next target of the national death penalty vote, is significant. 

The production team of The Killing Vote has unveiled glimpses of Joo Hyun revisiting the Cheongnang Correctional Institution just before the 3rd episode's broadcast on the 24th. Joo Hyun's determination to uncover another clue related to Dog Mask is evident. In contrast, Kwon Seok Joo walks with an emotionless expression toward an unknown destination. His piercing gaze piques intense curiosity. The question remains whether Kwon Seok Joo and Joo Hyun will cross paths once again.

At the end of the previous 2nd episode, Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin) boarded the exact vehicle as the 2nd target of the national death penalty vote and faced a life-threatening situation. Dog Mask detonated a bomb planted in the car. 

Meanwhile, the 3rd episode of SBS's new Thursday drama, The Killing Vote, will air on the 24th at 9:00 PM KST.
