"The First Responders Season 2" Kang Gi Doong Returns, Deeper Chemistry with Kim Rae Won

On August 4th, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama The First Responders Season 2 (written by Min Ji Eun, directed by Shin Kyung Soo), which rewrites the history of "The First Responders" as a "K-Cooperative" series where firefighters, police officers, and forensic investigators collaborate to solve cases, aired its first episode. The First Responders Season 2 is the second season of The First Responders, which was broadcasted last year.
Kang Gi Doong showcased his electrifying presence once more, portraying the thrilling return of Gong Myung Pil (played by Kang Gi Doong), the official partner of Jin Ho Gae. In the first episode, Gong Myung Pil revealed his affection for Jin Ho Gae (played by Kim Rae Won) without hesitation. He rushed to embrace Jin Ho Gae, expressing his deep love for him while facing danger during a parking tower fire incident. Gong Myung Pil also showed concern for Jin Ho Gae while he was receiving treatment for his injuries, saying, "Don't worry, get treated properly." Kang Gi Doong skillfully depicts Gong Myung Pil, who is cheerful and lively in his actions, adding vitality to the drama. Moreover, he perfectly captures the tenacity of the detective who raises questions and persistently investigates during the process of uncovering the arson case, showcasing his versatility in portraying the character.

In the second episode, Kang Gi Doong's emotional acting shines. In the drama, Gong Myung Pil comforts a student who discovers that his father is at the scene of an underground shopping mall fire, sincerely saying, "Don't worry, everything will be okay."

Furthermore, when Song Seol (played by Gong Seung Yeon) finds out that someone is trapped at the scene, Gong Myung Pil passionately urges others to make way as they bring Seol, who was rescued from the scene after going through various difficulties, to the hospital. Kang Gi Doong meticulously expresses the inner emotions of Gong Myung Pil, conveying the character's emotions effectively to the audience.

Once again, in The First Responders Season 2, Kang Gi Doong continues to impress as Gong Myung Pil, the mood maker at Taewon Police Station and Jin Ho Gae's partner. He maintains his outstanding performance and creates a character that was never seen before, smoothly guiding the flow of the drama. With his impressive acting and even deeper charm, Kang Gi Doong's outstanding performance in the first episode has firmly captivated the viewers' hearts, heightening their expectations for his future activities.
