Scheduled to premiere on August 10th, The Killing Vote is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. It presents a story of national participation in judgment, tracking down the enigmatic "Dog Mask" who conducts a national death penalty vote targeting heinous criminals, and execute them.

The drama stars Park Hae Jin as Kim Moo Chan, Park Sung Woong as Kwon Suk Joo, and Im Ji Yeon as Joo Hyun. Park Sung Woong portrays Kwon Suk Joo, a well-known legal scholar who, despite his reputation, committed the act of killing the criminal who sexually assaulted his 8-year-old daughter and turned himself in, currently serving a long-term sentence in prison. Expectations are high for Park Sung Woong, known for his powerful performances in various works, to deliver a multi-dimensional character at the boundary of good and evil.

On August 7th, the production team of The Killing Vote released two photos of Kwon Suk Joo, capturing the audience's attention. In the first photo, he appears as a legal scholar standing at a lectern, exuding an intelligent and intellectual aura with a neat hairstyle, glasses, and a gentle gaze. In contrast, the second photo shows Kwon Suk Joo dressed in a prisoner's uniform, confined in prison, displaying a sharper and chilling expression in his eyes.
Kwon Suk Joo can be seen as a victim, having lost his beloved daughter to a crime. However, even if it was driven by a desire for revenge, the fact that he personally killed the criminal places him in the role of an offender unable to escape from the burden of his actions. His character cannot be easily categorized as 100% good or 100% evil; it is complex and multi-dimensional. Thus, the portrayal requires powerful acting to evoke empathy from the viewers. As seen in the photos, Park Sung Woong flawlessly embodies the two completely different faces of Kwon Suk Joo, making it almost unbelievable that they are portrayed by the same actor. The production team of The Killing Vote expressed, "Park Sung Woong brilliantly brings out the softness and sharpness, delicacy and intensity, intellectual and cold aspects of Kwon Suk Joo's character, endowing him with convincing depth. We ask for much attention, and anticipation for Park Sung Woong's remarkable performance and chilling expressions perfectly depict the character's dual nature."
