Ady An and Mike He to Co-Star in GTV Drama

After four years of working in mainland China, Ady An (Autumn's Concerto, Chinese Paladin) will finally be making her return to Taiwanese dramaland. Set to premiere later this year, Ady will co-star alongside Mike He (Devil Beside You, Infernal Lover) in GTV’s idol drama, Upper-Class Common Girl (tentative title).



Ady will take on the role of a wealthy pig farmer’s daughter, who upon her father’s demand, is sent to study at a high-class etiquette school. Although she is considerably rich, her countryside upbringing makes her seem otherwise—as if she’s your typical poor girl from a poor background, that is. She’s a rich girl with a heart of gold; how nice. Now, just to clarify some things, according to the production company, this role will be a completely different role in comparison to Ady’s previous roles. It is said that her character will be a bit more straightforward and strong, as opposed to being meek and easily bullied.

Anyways, while at the school, her lack of formal sophistication catches the eye of Mike He’s character, an arrogant upperclassman whose F4-kind-of-upbringing clearly contrasts hers. Of course, their initial meeting won't be the prettiest, but you know what they say, "Opposites attract."



Mike He's character is at the top of his game—good looks, loads of money, heir to a successful enterprise…Or at least he was. In a terrible turn of events, his family’s wealth financially takes a turn for the worst and plummets. Desperate to get by, Mike He’s character has no choice but to travel to the countryside in search of work; where ‘lo and behold’ who should he meet? Oh yes. He yet again crosses paths with none other than the girl he ridiculed at school, Ady An’s character. Muwahahaha it’s payback time, and she will surely enjoy every instance of it.

It wouldn't be an idol drama without an idol, now would it? One half of the Mandopop duo BOBO, Fu Xin Bo, has also been confirmed to star in Upper-Class Common Girl. You can catch him in dramas such as Prince of Tennis 2 and Our Year later this month, or in China's We Got Married with virtual wife Hyomin of T-Ara. Actress Dong Xuan will also appear in the drama.
