Edit: 10/22/2013: Korean Actress IU has confirmed that she will be playing alongside Jang Geun Seuk, as the main female lead in Beautiful Man. Her character in the drama is an extremely average in every way (in fact her name "Bo Tong" apparently means average in Korean) plain Jane. She will be trying to win the love of the extremely "pretty" Jang Geun Seuk who she's been in love with for 10 years.

Recently, Jang Geun Suk's manhwa-turned-drama has secured a broadcaster and airing date.

Coming this December, the 4th to be exact, Beautiful Man will air on KBS as the follow-up to the melodrama, Secrets. Beautiful Man will air twice a week as a Wednesday/Thursday drama.

As confirmed in previous news stories, Lee Jang Woo and Han Ye Ri will be joining Jang Geun Suk as leads.

Lee Jang Woo's character, Choi David, is Ma Group's marketing director, but he'll no doubt spend most of his time babysitting Dokgo Ma Te (Jang Geun Suk). Choi David, in a way, is the Yin to Dokgo's Yang. You see, Dokgo Ma Te is characterized as "the charming and diabolical bastard of Ma Group"(◘), whereas Choi David is said to be a free spirited man with a beautiful mind--an all-around good guy. With this, Beautiful Man will showcase the typical Kdrama good guy/bad boy mixture.

Han Ye Ri will play Kim Bo Tong, an actress under Ma Group management who is completely infatuated by Dokgo Ma Te (Jang Geun Suk). Unfortunately for her, she will be joined by 9 other women, vying for Dokgo Ma Te's heart. This is a tangled love story you won't want to miss!
