This is plain Bromance

After watching ATOTS, I was super excited for a new series by Aof. The cinematic masterpiece that ATOTS was, it is not surprising to expect the best storyline with heartfelt characters in his next project. The trailer was promising and it had the potential to top the charts. Family enemies, uni enemies turned secret lovers? That's a troupe we all love. Started off quite strong with all the story buildup and chaos, turned to - wait what?

I commend Nanon's acting to beautifully portray his longing and hidden love for Pat. Ohm's acting was good, no doubt. But as an ML? Pursuing Pran as a romantic interest? For the love of god, I hope you know the difference between platonic and romantic love. There were scenes which were clearly intimate that showed the 'romantic' part of it. But majority of the other scenes is just bromancing. Two long lost brothers who were separated at birth and were enemies are now reliving their brotherhood.

I took a pause and kept it on hold for a while to read others' reviews to understand if everyone else felt the same. Not surprisingly this was a hit and no one had shared their thoughts in this light. Started watching it again trying to make the best out of the chemistry shown on the screen but I just couldn't proceed with the portrayal of this supposed romance coming off on the screen as two bickering brothers loving each other a lot.

I like Ohm and Nanon's acting, I really hope they get better projects. Not sure if the ship didn't work or maybe it was the character setting they had. Wish they had better platforms to show their talents.

I have only watched 5 episodes so far and I’m completely in love.

The plot is the typical Romeo and Juliet type of thing, were both the male leads family absolutely hate each other and they force the two male leads to compete with each other all their life.

At the moment this is my favourite BL of the year.

The chemistry between the male leads is amazing and it has that cute aspect to it that’s just so cute to watch.

One male leads is outgoing and a bit flirty with the other male lead. While the other male lead is shy and secretly in love with the other male lead.

It’s just so cute. I’m your a fan of a cute, but funny BL drama, with attractive male leads , I would definitely recommend this to watch

Highly recommend!

We are only at episode 5 and I already fell in love with this show. I didn't know what to expect at the beginning, but Bad Buddy surprised me in a good way. Nanon and Ohm are both great actors and it shows. They portray Pat and Pran so good, sometimes it doesn't even feel like they're acting. They have a fantastic chemistry. I hope we see them both together in another series (doesn't have to be bl) again. All I can say is that Bad Buddy already belongs to my favourite Thai Bls and it's not even finished yet.

So overall 9.5 out of 10 because there are still 7 episodes left:)

Brilliant

I have recently just started watching BL's. This is the one of the best. Acting is brilliant and chemistry bety the actores is great. Just completed 5 episodes and I am eagerly waiting for the coming episodes. Hope so that coming episodes are not going to disappoint. Just wish that story moves at a bit faster pace else this is a great series. Must Watch for all the fans of the the actors of the series.



Why the hell I have to write a story of 500 words to submit the review. It's prepsterous as we r nt here to post the whole story line just to write what's gud and what's not.

Marvelous acting and chemistry

I am so loving this series, and the more episodes i watch the better it gets. Even though i don't usually care about an actor's acting skills if the plot of the story is good and actors are good looking, Bad Buddy compelled me to specially notice Nanon's superb acting. Even though there are many shows where actors perfectly display most accurate emotions, in this series from my perspective Nanon's acting and every expressions tells a story of its own. Ohm's acting is also spectacular and i really like the theme of both male leads being so energetic and hunks bcz i am really tired of watching one of the male leads being a flower boy, or a damsel in distress in most of the BL series. The chemistry between them is similarly just out of the world, and watching the flirt with each other naturally even though not intentionally really makes it even more perfect. The plot is pretty good even though not being the best, with only a very few annoying situations till now. If the rest of the episodes remain consistently good like the episodes aired till now, and the story doesn't fuck up mid way, it can become a series with a popularity rivaling TharnType and 2gether.

A nice watch

Bad Buddy is a nice watch, especially if you dont like to think too much and like mild, fluffy, funny BLs. This series is special to me due to the fact that this was the first BL that I watched where the actors didn't look like they wanted to puke because they were acting in a BL. They had great chemistry, the scenes weren't abrupt, the dialogues were not banal - in short, everything about this production was great!

It was also nice to watch BLs where the uke/seme distinctions were blurred. I generally like a drama where the characters are in a balanced relationship, so having an absence of charaters where one was trying too hard, and the other far too stingy was like a fresh breath of air.
The friends were also very funny, and in general complementing to the entire setting, which only added to my delight.

Its a great watch and i totally recommend watching this to anyone who just wants to have a good time :)

My favorite series

I watched it when it first and out but no matter how Many times I rewatch It is still amazing. I think Ohm and Nanons Acting skills are incredible and I think that they show the characters personalities really well and overall the story and the acting is just phenomenal!!
The way they both compete to see who will fall in love first even though they both already know they like each other is so funny and played out so well, you can really tell they both love each other a lot and as they get closer but others still don’t except them they always have each others backs <3

I don't mind fluff - MSP is one of my favorite dramas I've seen in a long time, and maybe this hurt my experience of watching Bad Buddy.

I had heard so much good about this series that I think it set me up for disappointment. It had some similar themes to MSP but I did not feel the same magic. There was basically no plot other than the watered down Romeo and Juliet - most of the time the episodes didn't really have any direction or end goal. Pran - while I understand he was tsundere and more introverted - often seemed legitimately put off by Pat, to the point I kind of felt sorry for Pat most of the time. I think it did some things well that have been stated before (addressing bisexuality, dismantling the top/bottom-husband/wife cliche) but I don't know that it was enough to put it in the top BLs out there for me.

Even the fluff felt kind of one-dimensional - it all felt like it had the same tempo throughout the entire show and did not really pick up. I also don't understand why they chose to do the time skip and the decision (or lack thereof) with the parents in the last episode - that felt like it was undoing a lot of the progress that had built up until episode 11.

I don't know, I guess maybe I just don't get the hype.

A BL Masterclass

I decided to watch this show while waiting for 23.5 to release bc I knew milklove was in this series and didn't expect to fall in love with this show as much as I do. This has to be the best bl I have ever watched and I can see myself coming back to it again and again (as someone who doesn't really rewatch shows). If I had to recommend a bl to new fans getting into the genre this is the series I would recommend. It contains some basic elements of bl but has its own twists. I highly enjoyed how the characters of ink and pa were their own characters, as many bls reduce women to either being the villain or just someone only there for the male characters. Both PatPran and InkPa had amazing development and their stories were very well told.
