BEST BL IN THE WORLD - WHOLESOME YET MADE MY HEART EXPLODE
I've watched around 25+ BLs - Thai, Filipino, American, Chinese, Spanish but I would say THIS IS MY FAVORITE. It was so simple and pure and heartwarming. First BL that made me cry and laugh <3 I love it so much!!!!! longer episodes for these 2 characters please.I love how simple and feel-good the story is. It's something that you can watch if you're very lonely or if you're very happy. If y ou're lonely, it will make you happy somehow. If you're happy, it will make you happier! It's just that amazing.

A Real Gem
Story 8/10Simple typical Kdrama story about a rich person (most of the time it's a guy) falling in love with a poor person ( most of the time it's a female but here is a guy) the "money conflict" ( I didn't find a better term to it but if you have an idea you are welcome to write me) emphasise in most of the episodes ( if not all in of them)
The rich handsom guy is an famous actor having a scandal (as a victim but being blamed)
The poor guy is a (almost) chef on a resturant owns by his so called (rich) "friend" (probably more like an ex lover- but this is only an hint on the story)
The fall inlove, and very fast developing a feelings on to another, but the poor guy afraid of because he is hurt from his ex leaving him, (only himted that it's the resturant owner, but we don't really see it as it left as an hole in the story)
And this is summing up the simple story
There is a Similarity to the charaters in "Where your eyes linger" drama with the same producer, (rich soft heart playful guy and the other is poor -strong, self controled guy)
Acting 10/10
All of the actors are great, But my favourites are: Son Woo Hyun (the main actor) and funny Jeon Jae Yeong ( the manager) that looks older than him but in real life all of them are younger than Son Woo Hyun.
Sn Woon H bring brightness in a very smooth way, he is very lovely, cheerful and straightforward person, but the way he delivering it look smooth, both of the main actors acting very good.
Music 7/10
The only drama iv'e watched that was with original ost that left in my mind and hears was in "coffee prince", just to compare original music and songs, here it's more a typical pop song, it's not bad at all, but it's not creative or heartfull songs.
Overall 9/10
The romantic scenes are really good, and they filmed very well, as Korean knows how to, its hearworming, I feel that it's different from other series because it's not having melodramatic ending like in "Where your Eyes Linger" and bring we watch them developing emotions to one another with a slow burning,
the down side that it's short and there are holes in the story that was rushed in the end, but the ending is perfect. another thing is the trop of beakup and return ( the poor guy break up so he would not be hurt and than they coming back together ) and this left to the end, instead of brining more happy couple moments in the last episode, it could have been saved one or 2 episodes for nothing.
Rewatch value
(I already watched it couple of time so it's 10/10)

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!!
It's an amazing short series who captured the best moments between the couple, their development and progress, the love and connection. You might want to see longer episodes, because these are short(15min or less), but that might be its strong point. I love when they go to the main point and without dragging they show you what is the most important. No necessary drama. Amazing delivery from the cast.
You are going to love it if you are looking for an easy, lovey-dovey story line with no necessary drama form the other characters. Give it a shot. Highly recommend it.

The cast made this work. It needed more time to add depth to the plotlines and backstories. All in all it was top notch and emotionally satisfying.

They set the bar high
Okay first of all i don't see any 'deep' story on this, just like a casual romance one. I expect this drama to told us a deeper story about the trauma or something related to the 'broken glass sound', but since it's only have 9 episode and 15 minutes per each then yeah can't blame them.I like seo-jun personality here. He's not the type of person who just go when he was told to. He know what he wants. And he just blatantly said it. Meanwhile ji-woo is the tsundere type one. I really thought that ji-woo will be the one who confessing first since he's smiling everytime he got a message from seo-jun, even he's smiling when he tell seo-jun to clean the toilet :((( what a cutie pie. But yeah ji-woo choose to protect seo-jun by saying seo-jun is a trouble for him but actually he doesn't want to be a trouble for seo-jun by dating him since seo-jun is a top star.
And this drama had some 'first' of korean bl. The first korean bl with 9 episodes. First korean bl with a real kiss!!! I've watch some korean bl before i watch this, but only this one with a real kiss i mean a proper kiss. Not only slightly touching on their lips but a real kiss with movement! They set the bar high for the next korean bl.
Over all i like this drama but not that much because the story is not that clear, and so many missing pieces but yeah.
To my star have the same director as where your eyes linger, no wonder it's good since wyel is a top tier itself. Looking forward for another drama from the same director!!

A beautiful delicacy of romance, twinkling in my eyes
Korean BL is really a masterpiece!! If only they can lengthen every episodes cause viewers wanted more but anyways To My Star is one of my fave short drama ever.It started with a idol who got into a controversy which I already saw a lot of it from other drama but in here, it gives a unique and special plot. At the begining of the episode I was annoyed with Seojun's character but if fades the moment he got to share the same scene with Jiwoo.
Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min has an incredible chemistry, it really gives me butterflies every scenes they had. They're too cute and I want more
BEST KISSING SCENE from a Korean BL. The ending was such a wonderful treat to the fans ohmygosh! I also want to play Jijutsu hahaha. They really got everything they have in that scene, it was so beautiful and satisfying to watch. I really really love that kissing scene then moving the camera to the window to witness the star, compatible to the title itself.
I love the lines of Kang See Jun saying that it is rare to find someone who we can enjoy spending time and falling in love. Yes! Plus Han Ji Woo as a chef really adds flavor to the storyline.
Side characters are also cute and supportive. The betrayal between old friends happened. It is good that they didn't work together again because you have to be realistic cause the trust was already ruin. This drama deserve a lot with their not typical plot twist even into smaller details.
Ovearall, To My Star gives me happiness and joy so it deserve a high rating. It was such a cute love story of Seojun and Jisoo, being mature and considerate with each other. Again, BEST KISS I EVER SEEN IN A KOREAN BL.

Short but Sweet
So as an experienced BL fan it's only fitting I watch this gold mine. I don't know what I was expecting, but it was better than I imagined. The ONLY reason it didn't get a perfect score is cause I was feeling some type of way that it was short lol I would definitely recommend to a newbie BL fan and I can see myself watching it again. Visuals all around and there didn't seem to be any awkwardness between the MCs so I believe there was natural chemistry. The story wasn't necessarily something new, but not something overused. It got suspenseful and I felt all the emotions.Only thing remotely negative is I think they should've put a seizure warning for ep 7.
Enjoy!!!

Wow, what's happening with korean BL?
Hi, hello! Have you seen a cute story with two boys falling in love? Yes? No? Would you like to watch another? Anyway this is for you!Korean drama are always a little extreme with the plot, they add plot twist everywhere. Sometimes I like it, here I found the plot twist useless. It add a punch, but we already knew who loves who and why.
What I prefer here is the acting, the two main actors are really good. They're just, not to much, and natural. I believed in the character, their defaults, their qualities. I was attached to them, they felt real.
AND, they aren't too handsome, unrealistic handsome I mean, they are cute, and I love that : they aren't sexualized. Their feelings are shy, you feel the love growing within the story, you can see how they can love each other and why. This isn't a mean toxic guy who touch a sleepy dude, NO, they are human who meet and respect each other.
It's short, but it seems to create a good foundation for future BL stories. I loved it!

i have thoughts
two issues with this drama one very important to me the other .. well it is what it is but yeah let me elaborate 1 the age gap is not appropriate i know a lot of people don’t mind or don’t care bc “age is just a number” but see the thing is it rly isn’t and i wish power dynamics and predatory behavior were more discussed especially also when it comes to same sex relationships in dramas/tv/etc but i’m not writing this review to lay that all out lol i just really want to point it out and i have to bc it is what it’s in my heart ... the second issue obviously it’s too short i don’t think i have to explain that but what i do want to mention is that even though again it’s quite short it didn’t really feel that way watching it? idk how they managed to do that but props to them cause usually episodes would fly by .. somehow here they didn’t !! but onto the exclusively good stuff !!! everything about this was wonderful the story the acting the settings the production in general regarding the quality it reminded me of where your eyes linger which makes sense knowing the director (?) is the same and they exist in the same universe ... i love and appreciate the way they told the story and how it concluded so so much and both actors did a really good job (woohyeon please answer my calls) and i’m just so glad that even though i wish they had casted it differently (this is nothing against the actors Again i think they did a fantastic job it’s solely about the age gap) this exists! hopefully in the future we can maybe hit the twenty minutes or even thirty minutes *gasps* mark for each episode (they’re releasing a movie version of this one too so look forward to that as well!) in conclusion: #SavePilhyunCet avis était-il utile?

Confused
Other reviewers have mentioned this already but while the drama is good, it suffers from being only around 15min per episode. I found myself at episode 6 thinking "Wait, how are they going to resolve all of this?".I found the plot highly intriguing at first but given that there was so little time to develope everything accordingly, the ending left many questions unanwered (what happened to Han Ji Woos parents, what was that taped-up house, who is that english-speaking reporter and why does she care about our fateful pair etc.).
However, the worst part for me was, that by the end of the show, I could genuinely not tell you why those two people are in love. And not that there always needs to be a perfectly understandable reason - but I didn't even see hints of Han Ji Woo falling in love with Kang Seo Joon. While beautifully acted, the scene where we find out that he does, indeed, like Kang Seo Joon as well was quite a surprise for me personally. Like "oh he does? Really? Why?".
I think part of that is because until around episode 7 Kang Seo Joon comes across as quite an irritating character who tries to get out of problems by paying people off. The whole range of issues that came with his scandal weren't explored either and so the issues felt very insular.
The relationships between the characters weren't all that well developed in general - I couldn' tell why some people were friends, how they had met, etc.
All in all, the production was GREAT, they filmed outside a lot and so it never felt like it was just two sets that were being used. The kitchen at their house in particular was absolutely stunning.
I wish they'd had time to develope everything futher, the idea behind the plot is great but severely underdeveloped, as are several other key points of the production. It's sad because the acting performances were seriously great across the board. And while the main couple didn't necessarily have the best chemistry, they absolutely made it work and I could tell they were physically comfortable with each other.

To me, it's really OVERHYPE!! But I guess, to each their own...
Kang Seo Joon smile is everything... It's literally the only thing I connected to. Lol!On a more serious note thou … I wanted to write my review after watching (that's been weeks upon weeks ago) However, when I noticed the million positive feedbacks, I was like... "Did we all watched the same drama?" I just couldn't get it. I still don't get it.
When you have a mini series -- actors must put in a lot of effort to make us (viewers) feel greatly affected, but I didn't get that here. So... I was left wondering if I had miss something that should deeply moved me because of all the high ratings "To My Star" is getting.
There are so many things I don't get, and don't buy. But I guess they thing because it is a drama viewers will just accept without question, otherwise... How could they leave so many plot holes? They must think we are idiots.
