Not good at all
Way too overrated. I have seen a lot of people talking about this drama so I obviously got curious about it and decided to watch it. I watched the whole thing really quick, which is weird since I never do that but I guess I was waiting for the drama scenes or the problems or whatever, just something interesting to keep me going. At first I have to say that it was great but the only reason why I thought it was great it was because of it being a bl drama, I was very excited because I rarely watch good ones. When I had two episodes left I realized how the story didn't make sense and started to feel confused about it.The only good thing about this drama was the last scene but that's all.
I understand that people might be hyping this a little bit too much because it's a bl drama but to be fairly honest, it was really bad and rushed. And yeah, of course it's going to be rushed since it has a couple of episodes and the duration of each is very small but it's still a bad show.
I wouldn't recommend it, go watch something else.

SATISFACTION
That's what really made me love this drama. Koreans do make BL dramas short that it can be converted into an hour and 30 or so mins long movie. And we sometimes crave for more (This is just base on my experience with most of Korean BLs). Like the story and character development could be further tackled and other stuff. But the thing about To My Star is, it made me satisfied. Story flow is too smooth. Characters' development, right there. Can't crave for more. Acting?? Hell yeah!! I love how they portrayed their role. Every episode is just too good. They tackled every issues in the story and have it solved in the most satisfying way.
The plot can be seen on some dramas/movies as well (Like History: Stay Away From Me tho not exactly the same but somehow like a famous actor and just a commoner likes story). But you'll just smile by how every ep makes you crave to what will gonna happen next. I'm glad that every ep is only 11-18 mins long. I'm glad that they didn't give us a kiss that can't be considered one. I'm glad that they gave me the ending that will make me happy and satisfy my long long wait for this drama.

Superb production and awesome actors!
Everything is superb! To the story plot, production team, chemistry between both leads, supporting actors, props, and everything else make me speechless in a good way! They did great and the way they fixed the film settings is also superb! If I could, I want to rate 1million stars!
The way each main leads moved the emotional flow is superb. You could see each of them really feeling it from their heart. I even cried! I have never written a review before, not even for Color Rush! This series rendered me speechless and I didn't expect most of the plot twists too!
I'm definitely going to rewatch this again and again~ If some of you haven't watch it yet, you must! It will never disappoint you. Even the ending is, *chuckles*, go watch it. XD A true bliss for bl fans XD You're going through one sunshine of a ride. XD

Cute, but Short
To My Star was a precious BL that knocked off the few hours I had left in my day. I have the same argument here that I do the other Korean BL's; how come this is so short?Let's Dive In.
One key problem with this drama is that it's way too short. While it had a decent story and good acting, it still just not enough time to tell this story in full throttle. I wanted to learn more about Kang Seo Joon and Han Ji Woo. How come Han Jo Woo is so brooding like he is? What about him made Kang Seo Joon fall in love? Lot's of unanswered questions that definitely needed an ending.
The main leads had great chemistry. The only problem I had was the fact that Kang Seo Joon randomly kissed Han Jo Woo out of the blue. Even if he asked, Han Jo still never consented, and it led to a huge scandal that could've easily been avoided.
Overall, this was a cute watch. It's not long at all, it literally took me a few hours to finish. I do recommend this for a watch, especially if someone wants something mostly cute and quick to watch.

Sweet and A Bit Different
The plot was different and made the twists unexpected. Cuteness, sweetness, and light angst. Because there was a lot to cover in the plot and only eight 15min episodes, the story zipped by. Because of this it was difficult for the emotional journey and relationship to build, but it was satisfying enough in this short story format. It kept my interest from beginning to end; I did not fast-forward through any parts.Son Woo Hyeon was the most impressive of the actors. He suffused his character with an endearing puppy-dog energy, but was able to play serious moments with weight and intensity where it called for it. Kim Kang Min worked fairly well for the role he was cast in, but was a little flat.
At first, the dead-fish-kiss made an appearance and I was worried that would be all we got, but the lead's romantic interaction became more life-like at the end.
I think this is the first rom-com I've seen that shows some mutual grooming as a love language, or at least the first one that has registered as such as I watched it. I know couples that do this, it's just rarely talked about. So that was interesting.
Music worked but was unremarkable.
Fun for one watch but I don’t think I'll need to see it again.

This Bl series is also amazing
Guys I m here again . Starting from the start, it was good from beginning to mid and from mid to next onwards it was awesome. Leads was probably first time doing this genre (bl) but their acting was really nice. It was short and sweet . It was nice experiencing watching it . I don't no what to say more because all korean BL s nowadays are literally amazing and all y appreciating words, I have used it. But I will strongly recommend you to watch this series. If you watched it after reading this review ,let me know if you want.Cet avis était-il utile?
One amazing drama
I may be a little generous with my scores on this one but this drama was amazing. The story was not very original but had some interesting touches so it felt fresh. The acting was so natural and good that sometimes I felt like I was invading their privacy. The side characters were actually interesting and funny even though it was a mini series so they weren't explored in depth. The cinematography was simple but beautiful. The music was cute and fitting. But most of all the chemistry between the leads was INCREDIBLE. Their relationship was so pure and real and both of them were mature and loving. If you're looking for some cute, pure love with some spice then this is your show. Hope we get more productions (and with more episodes) like this from S. Korea because until now the're killing itCet avis était-il utile?

BL KDRAMA HISTORY BEING MADE
I wasn't going to write a review until that last episode urged me to. Usually, I wouldn't praise a show/director/producer for giving us great kisses or whatever because I'm not that type of BL fan who just wants to watch two guys make out. I actually watch BLs because 1, I find them cute if they're done well, and 2, I 100% support LGBTQ+ media exposure and awareness. HOWEVER, I do have to praise the director/producer/writers of 'To My Star' for going against the grain and how the LGBTQ+ community are considered in South Korea. We all know how conservative and heteronormative society (and the governments) are in Asia. Especially Korea. And all the BL kdramas usually contain one or two "pecks" - if you can call lips barely touching and not moving a peck - at the end of the series or movie. 'Where Your Eyes Linger', 'Mr. Heart', 'Color Rush', and 'Wish You' all follow this formula for kissing. They either have decent pecks or the lips touch. 'To My Star' took a few steps forward, past its predecessors, towards a more progressive and positive direction. TMS had a total of THREE kisses and each one was better than the last.Sure, the first one was one of the aforementioned type of pecks but within the context of the scene, it made sense. The second was a more decisive, passionate kiss but still within the realm of what South Korea has given us already. It's the third kiss in the last episode that was hook, line, and sinker for me. The chemistry was amazing, there was OPEN MOUTH KISSING, they were all close and intimate in a bed together, and it lasted longer than 5 seconds. Like, wow. I was in shock as it happened, thinking that the camera would pan away before they actually kissed or right after but nope, they actually kissed. Properly.
I'm still in shock tbh and even though the production wasn't the most amazing, the writing wasn't incredible, the story was too short, and the editing wasn't impeccable, I'm still giving TMS a higher rating just for being progressive. Standing ovation to the actors too for being comfortable/supportive enough to not only act in a BL, but give their full passion into their performances. As I mentioned before, their chemistry is amazing and they didn't make their kisses look awkward at all. Which I appreciate.
Rewatch value is 10/10 because the show is short and easy to watch. Plus it's cute. I definitely recommend giving TMS a go if you haven't already!

Love it!
This gave me "Where your eyes linger" vibes all the way! I searched the director and it's the same: Hwang Da Seul. Also the characters and their personalities resemble the ones from that show. I really love the mood that this story puts you in with all the tension and the dynamic between the two protagonists! The acting was also so good and natural! It somehow warmed my soul! Loooooooooovvvvvvveeeeeee iiiiiiittttttt! ^__^ ^__^ ^__^ ^__^ ^__^ ^__^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A must-watch masterpiece
The series is an absolute masterpiece. I have watched it at least 5 times and every time I love it more. The storyline, the characters and the acting are all superb. I really like how there is such a clear juxtaposition between the two main characters. You have Seo Jun who is carefree, happy, always trying to please everyone and very open to everyone. Then there is Ji Woo who is serious, sad and has some walls up to keep some distance between him and other people. Ji Woo clearly comes across as struggling to get by in life while Seo Jun seems to have it all yet has his own secrets. At the same time Ji Woo does things to protect the people he cares about. His integrity is strong and never chooses the easy way to make money right up to the end. Watching Ji Woo’s resistance to Seo Jun is what makes this series so delicious.
This series is now my favorite of the Korean boylove short web series. The well-developed plot and intense characters reflect the fact that it has the same author as ‘Where your eyes linger’. I also liked how it was tied to ‘Where your eyes linger’ by having the same character Kim Pil Hyun in both series and the same company, the TB group, featured in both . I rarely think series should have a second series but I definitely want to see the characters on screen again.

Gives you butterflies!
If you're looking for something that will fill your heart with love, then this is for you. After watching a lot of drama lately, this series was so much needed. It's so cute I loved to watch it before I sleep, to sleep with a smile on my face. It will start slow and you might feel it's not that good at first but later you'll be hungry for more. The last episode alone I must say is actually better than a lot of other BL. I wish the series was longer. The story isn't that deep , not much going on since it's a short series but the chemistry between them is worth every minute. I hope to see them again together.Cet avis était-il utile?
Sweet
I have actually watched this drama twice because I liked it so much.I always believe that is it important to make the main leads likeable, both the ML's in this drama had issues but they were relatable, likeable and I wanted them to get together and be happy.
When they were together I found myself smiling along with them, there were problems along the way but they were resolved quickly and the story never got bogged down or too unpleasant.
The story could have been better, it wasn't terrible but there were parts that were just added to give it extra drama, I am probably nitpicking because they never altered my opinion of the drama.
All the actors were good and there were no real toxic characters to spoil the mood of the drama .
