I feel in love with BL because of this

I have loved this right from 2gether to this one and most say i loved every single moment of it. I have rewatched the series too many times that i can count and loving it still. Favorite iconic scenes for me:
Snack games between Wat & Tine
When Tine agreed to be Wat’s boyfriend
When they moved in together both times
When Wat gets on the stage to sing
When they watched the Scrubb concert together
Wat’s teasing Tine’
Wat being the make-up cleaner and telling the makeup artist to leave Tine’s face
When Wat confessed finally to Tine after leaving Mil
Wat telling Tine on the phone how he would miss him and talking about how Tine behaves and Tine behaved same way on the background.

So many scenes. Reason why i didn’t give this a 10/10 was i would have loved to see Tine give more in terms of love to Wat. Wat was the one with the show of love. Only time i really got the sense that Tine loved Wat was when Wat was away practicing at P’Dim’s and could not leave and Tine confessed how he missed Wat not knowing Wat was there and also at the end when he played for Wat and really allowed the kiss to happen. Else it was more Wat all the time.

The series for me is sweet from start to finish and should not be compared to the WHY R U, TharnType’s of this world because their’s was sweet love and not intense.

Resolves The Problems of the Original Series

The original "2gether" series is one of the better BL dramas. It's got the best looking collection of actors and mostly plausible storylines. But the first series played down the romantic elements so much that our main characters, Tine & Sarawat barely get beyond a straight bromance. And the much promised "Kiss until you drop" is never delivered. A new director was brought in for "Still 2gether" and the results are much improved. Tine & Sarawat still never reach the romantic gold standard set by Tutor (Saint) and Fighter (Zee Pruk) in the "Why R U?" series but we do get to see a nice kissing scene in the final act. I'll defer to the producers of BL dramas who know their audience better than me, but I do find it odd that they'll steer clear of anything that gets too "gay" while, at the same time, embracing tired gay stereotypes like calling a partner a "wife" or "wifey" and introducing over-the-top, girly-acting characters -- presumably for cheap laughs. This undermines the normalizing of same-sex partnerships. The highlight of this series is Win Metawin's touching performance when his character, Tine, sits alone by the pool, missing his traveling boyfriend and talking to a doll with the likeness of Sarawat. Up to this point, I've never been convinced that Tine, who was introduced as decidedly heterosexual, had bought into a same-sex relationship. (Sarawat clearly liked boys at the onset). So this was a much-needed resolution to that issue. This is Win's first major role. Blessedly, the sequel is only 5 episodes and it nicely resolves most of the loose ends of the original series without padding the drama out to 13 hours. I like these characters. It would be interesting to wait about 5 years for another visit and maybe, by then, the audience (and the actors) will be a little more accepting of the kind of intimacy we've seen in "Why RU?"

Still Together, Still Great!

I absolutely loved the first season of 2gether and when I heard they made special episodes I was thrilled! I think these five episodes showed why I fell in love with the series and the characters. Tine and Sarawat were cute and adorable as always, and really loved the development in their relationship. It was great to see them apart, and the emotions that went through in both of them while being apart. Their scenes were sweet and cute, and I'm always weak for Wat's smile for Tine hahah.

These episodes really made me grow to the side characters as well, that I didn't in the first series. I also think Green was a lot more likeable, a savage queen, in this! I wish we had gotten more of this Green in first season (I think I started to like him more the minute he stopped obsessing over Tine lol). I think Green and Dim were a fun couple to watch even I wasn't completely sure if they really belonged together. Man and Type were really cute and great that even they had troubles with the long distance relationship, they worked it out. I also wished we'd gotten more scenes with Sarawat and Phukong and their brotherly relationship that was barely showed.

Overall, great special series! I really wished there were more episodes than this, because just as I fell in love with the series again the episodes ended. Hoping for more! Definitely will be rewatching from the start.

Can't Wait to Watch Again

A beautiful way to cap off everyone's story. I loved that we got so many different gay couples in this series. I love that the side characters had tome for things to develop for them. Too often I wish more was going on for the characters around the main character. To see fuller lives and here not only does that happen but it feels significant. It's lovely to see the parallel between the couples as they take on different challenges.

Also, we finally get more of the on-screen touch. Plus a kiss between the two main characters here and while I loved the romantic and cheesy moments between the two it was nice to see something more physical as well. I needed it.

I loved this series so much. I just know I will be back to rewatch it many times.

Developpment in a 5 episodes overall good series

Well well well how do i even describe the amount of happiness that came to me when I knew this was gonna be released. I just have to admit that 5 episodes are very much short.

The not so satisfying ending of 2gether the series led to the joy of this release. I was so surprised to see that the chemistry between Sarawat and Tine got even more wholesome.

Let me just warn you, this series makes you feel so single and also if you are looking for a positive vibe with less headaches series, then this is deffo it!

Good vibes

I'm expecting the unexpected for the next episodes. I honestly loved this show so much. It holds a special place in my heart. With all of the other BL series I have watched, this one has been my #1. It just really makes you feel so much love. This story has made me want a love story like that. I want someone to love me so tenderly like Sarawat was with Tine. Such a beautiful story. I highly recommend it.

For the ending of this special episode, I do wish there will be a kiss instead of a high five with the two. It would have been so much more romantic if Sarawat had kissed Tine in front of the crowd and not just a high five. There could have been a little more romance from the two, but I won't complain, it was still lovely what was shown. This is a world wide hit series and a lot are expecting for a Season 2.

What I Enjoyed and Did NOT Enjoy - Spoilers Included!!!

This was a great ending to a great series! Below are things that I did and did not enjoy about this show. Please note that there are spoilers!

LETTER GRADE
- A :: The star rating of this is .5 higher than that of the prequel. That certainly shows which of the two I prefer!

THINGS I DID LIKE =
- Type and Man :: Still 2together went more into depth about these two characters' relationship. It was nice to see how they operate together while they are in love as opposed to as they fell in love. The shower scene in one of the first episodes cemented them as being my favorite couple. I thought both TopTap and Mike did phenomenal in that scene.
- Green :: More often than not he is used for comic relief, but that doesn't stop me from liking him!
- Tine and Sarawat :: In this series, the viewers get to see the two of them being more romantic with each other. I felt like this kind of nicely made up for where their romance fell flat in the first season. I know one can't expect much close romance from BLs, but it certainly was a step up from where it was!

THINGS I DID NOT LIKE =
- Tine and Sarawat's "Long Distance" Relationship :: Okay, this portion annoyed me greatly. The boys were only like an hour and a half away from each other and acted like it was the end of the world! I know it was their first relationship where they weren't glued to the other's side, but come on. And Dim being Dim certainly did not help the situation. The dramatics of this made my evaluation of the storyline segment of the rating .5 lower than the previous season.
- The Background Music/Sounds :: The staff went overboard with this lol.
- Phukong and Mil's Relationship :: In the first season I did not care for their relationship (or lack thereof). I hoped the second season would change that, but it did not. Their romance just felt forced. Like, just because Sarawat was in a relationship Phukong HAD to be in one. Yeah, did not care for it at all. In my eyes it was just un-needed. The boys are great actors by themselves though!

One word in Thai FIN !!!!

If you think the chemistry was superb in season 1, you will be blown away by the chemistry in these special episodes. I genuinely wonder why they have such great chemistry??????? BrightWin are natural actors, I salute them so much! The other actors also improved a lot!

The story on these episodes also clearer than s1, many twists that made me screaming bcs too sweet or like OMGGGGG. Each episode is special with sweet ending.

You will be totally satisfied with these special episodes. The perfect score is what I’m giving here. Totally will watch all over again !

Good series overall

First of all I would like to say that Bright and Win’s acting in this special series drastically improved. The relationship they have felt real, unlike the previous season. I must say that I had a few good laughs all throughout the episodes, Dim and Green were actually funny! Also P Jennie’s scene was hilarious and entertaining! This is my 3rd time writing a review and I only write reviews for series that I really enjoy watching and somehow piqued my interest. I definitely recommend watching this 5 episode special series, this actually gave justice and life to the previous season whereas its plot didn’t actually live up to the viewers expectation. This is one of the best series I’ve watched, and now belongs to my top 5 tier list. Watching the different couples develop their relationship is really heartfelt, the challenges they face are actually true to life. The light ordeals they face and problems are relatable, it shows that growth, patience, trust, and love is what makes a relationship’s foundation strong. These aforementioned qualities are the most crucial to have in any relationship. I enjoy writing this review and I really couldn’t get enough of Bright and Win! I’m hoping for a second season for this series. Not just hope but I wish they’d have a second season! The overall plot and how they ended it was really good, I didn’t expect the kissing scene in the end but it’s pretty much satisfying. I had mix emotions coming in and I just felt so relieved and happy it ended well, it sufficed my overall expectation of the series. I had a hard time watching this series because I really don’t want it to end so soon. Having only 5 episodes is sad, but at least they made me sooooo happy. I’m afraid the Bright Win fever’s going to last for a few days, before I could move on. Guys, please support Bright Win and watch this commendable series if you want to smile and be blissful!

Assolutamente consigliato!

Being Kind

I watched 2gether a few months ago, read the critiques here, then re-watched it as I was surprised by some of the ratings. Since then I have watched Still 2gether and loved it. But I'm mainly posting this to defend Bright who is in danger of being victimised. To my mind he is a lad of immense all-round talent and it would be cruel if he gave up acting or had his life's course and happiness changed by what seems to be becoming a bandwagon of snipers. Fortunately there are many positive compensating comments on his profile in MDL and in the general appraisals of the films.

Bright is not a newbie and the fact that he has been chosen and re-chosen as an actor, when there is a huge pool of possibles suggests that producers and directors rate him highly. This cannot just be for his looks and his smile.

In appraising a film or a book, the starting assumption needs to be that the author or producer or actor knows what he or she is doing and that the director is satisfied with the result, however many takes were needed to get there. I think that rather than impose ones own expectations and values on a person, book or movie, one should try to understand what we are being shown. In that way we can be drawn out of our own echo-chamber with mirrors.

To me this is a very fine series.. The storyline may be familiar but the quality of the production and of the acting and direction, to my mind make it exceptional. That a fake relationship becomes real is bound to involve strong emotions, incredibly well portrayed here, where Sarawat has always been ready to abandon all pretence while Tine simply wants to walk away when the need for the fakery (the unwanted attentions of Green) has passed. Above all, the falling in love cannot be a sudden reversal, or an off-on switch but both actors have to sustain a 13 episode (+5) evolution in their relationship. I do not find these series sugary or superficial, rather they are the study of a slow-growing relationship with all its twists and turns. Yes, there is no skinship, only a few late kisses, but one cannot deduce from that that Bright is a reluctant BL actor. This film does not need to be pornographic and naked: for one thing Thai laws would not allow it, for another there is plenty of porn elsewhere (often with one-dimensional characters) and thirdly, this series is about what is going on below the surface.

Win and Bright are exceptional in sustaining a long arc. Win is a natural and I guess that his sunny disposition was easier to adapt to this role as Tine than Bright's depth and inwardness was to that of Sarawat. I really cannot see how Bright's acting can be criticised or patronisingly said to have improved through the series. If the casting is right, then the actor needs to rebalance his personality, to emphasise or reduce qualities that he already possesses. In this case the casting seems perfect. In real life Win has a ready smile, an optimistic approach to life and emotions on the sleeve, as well as having a serious and hard-working side. Shaking his kaleidoscope downgrades the seriousness, expands his range from joy to misery, suppresses his shyness, and perhaps he has to create a sort of dumb failure to understand for so long Bright's words and body language. In real life Bright seems shy, pensive, serious, but highly intelligent and quick-witted, with a lovely smile and whiplash repartee. This part with a bit of tinkering for Bright to become Sarawat, is actually a perfect fit, though it does not allow him to be as showy or theatrical as Tine. Whereas there is a certain frivolity needed in Tine's character, Sarawat has to capture Tine and maintain and deepen that love he felt at first sight, while never pushing it, for fear of frightening Tine off and losing him. He has to suffer deeply when rebuffed and misunderstood, with his eyes, expression and body showing this wordless hurt when Tine persists in thinking it is all a game, and even afterwards, when Win has become his boyfriend, but still doesn't know how to love without being selfish. Bright's is not a flamboyant part, so the viewer needs to watch every grimace and gesture in order to read him and see how much his deep love for Tine is costing Sarawat. Sarawat is also a model of hidden determination and deep devotion; a lesser lover would have given up. I think that he has created a totally believable character and nothing he does seems to be just going through the motions, reading out the words; there is nothing routine or mechanical or inept. even in close-up. As to his improving through the series, the script demands that they become ever more interlaced and their feelings more overt. A certain stiffness, awkwardness and coldness is entirely natural at the beginning of a relationship, even if both partners (unlike here at the beginning) want to develop it. This is not a series with a "non-existent plot", except for those who want to impose their own simpler story-line, with more rivalries and skin-ship. For me this is an intense and nuanced charting of a complicated relationship, not just another trivial and titillating BL.

There are accusations that the quality of writing deteriorates and that the first series looses impetus in its latter half. Such criticisms are hurtful and need to be supported, as does the notion that series one ends chaotically or messily, and that Series 2 was shot to tidy up. Once Sarawat and Tine are dating in Series 1, they have in theory moved into a phase that is less exciting for the watcher. But the detail is not like that at all. There are reversals, misunderstandings and Pear, Sarawat's first flame, but not more, comes on the scene. But the real interest is in Tine, who is still not ready to love fully and unreservedly. He shies away from Bright's desire for touching, kissing and sex and that creates a tension which is really only resolved at the end of Part two (without the need of a tearing-off-the-clothes bed scene. But the second half of 2gether also allows more time to focus on the other couples, though Tine and Sarawat remain the centre of attention.

I do not think that there is a weak link in the cast. Unfair, perhaps, to single out Green, whose over-the-top campness lets us smile and relax between the intenser moments, and Fong ("the philosopher"), Tine's friend, who is such a loyal one, always there for him with a quantity of understanding and perception that make him stand out as wiser among so many lads.

But I would also say that the direction is superb. Comparing these lads as they appear informally in the Behind the Scene clips with how they appear on screen, you can see what the director has found within them and brought to the forefront. Especially with Bright he has taught him the power of silence, reflection and stillness. This and the quality of the production make this an exceptional series.

I have no intention of shipping Win and Bright, as that is a possibly hurtful conjecture until they choose to reveal any relationship themselves. They seem a bit disengaged from fan-service, but not because they are awkward with each other –they obviously have a really close relationship- but because I can read a seriousness in them that rather dislikes the razzmatazz. Close and deeply satisfying male bonding (brotherhood plus) is common, but we don't need to fantasize that it is always sexual, even if they pass nights together.

Also I do want to defend them as fine people who are having to pick their way through a minefield of politics, political correctness, trolling and flamers. It is easy to make minor mistakes as a youngster surrounded by the pressures of fame, especially when they are inevitably the target of people whose own jealousy and unhappiness causes them hate others' success and to try to humiliate them. Everything that we know from good sources, including their own appearances on TV suggests that they are talented high-achievers, intelligent, warm, caring, dedicated and honourable. They love their families, they look out for others, and fame has not made them arrogant.

Damoetas.
