A book, with a high emotional value for the owner, is stolen by a schoolgirl. Daisuke and Shioriko try to solve the mystery behind it so they can get the book back.

A mysterious man, whom Daisuke and Shida-san assume to be an escaped convict, stops by the store in a hurry and drops off a book.

Tamaoka-san employs Daisuke and Shioriko to find the one who stole a very valuable book from her home library.
