A DRAMA YOU MUST WATCH BEFORE YOU DIE.
“Why are people born to experience pain?”I really don't know how to start or when to start but here I am, trying my best. This series is definitely one of the best things happened to me ever. I kept postponing to watch for the last 3 months but was so curious about it especially seeing some parallels between this series and Your Name Engreved Herein, which makes me so excited while watching as well, to start my review; from cinematography to the OST, to the acting and the plot.. it's done splendidly well.
I'll neither tire of praising this nor talking about this from now on. The CHEMISTRY between them explains everything. This definitely is a next level BL. It deserves everything and should be seen as 'one of the best movie examples; for LGBTQ community. It is a true story; it is me, you and them? It portrays the issues that lgbtq+ teenagers have faced so flawlessly. The support the characters get, for instance Hoon or Tarn, it was so necessary for us to see; that comfort, support. I even felt like he was talking to me through Teh which is something i have never seen in any other dramas or even movies. Normally third person in a relationship is showed as annoying and bad rather than being supporting. Even this fact shows how ITSAY is absolutely outstanding. This series is definitely a masterpiece. I loved every scene, detail and the intimate moment between them. I truly felt the sexual tension even through the screen??? so much that I even hold my breath most of the time.
I really understand them and do not blame them for anything. I can get the fact Teh has not been ready to take risks from the beginning but on the other hand, Oh-Aew was so enthusiastic to give a try and to think at that age -they're both kids- that you are afraid so much if you are even going to be accepted by the people around you,, i mean we are all afraid aren't we? And in my opinion, this was represented so beautifully in the drama. The performances of them left me speechles- I was struck by even little details like the fear, the tension and the thrill.. those all felt so real.
The scene they touch each other was even enough for me to love this series. That scene was better than any kiss or bed scene. I think i've never seen anything more touching than that scene. I swear i hold my breath and i really felt that touching, it was- like i melted in THAT scene like i melted in other scenes as well. But the scene they fulfill their promise together and Teh confessed his feelings to Oh-Aew finally is my favorite scene.
Another things i loved about this series is that they even get each other without talking just looking at each other??? We really need more drama series like this. While i was thinking i was tired of all those series including toxicity and tired of all those bl drama cliches, especially for Thai dramas, i met/watched this series and completely impressed! It's the best BL made in worldwide ever. I want to congratulate not only Billkin and Krit but also everyone who put their effort into this. I want them to know, it's all worth it.
In short; ITSAY is THAT SERIES for me, it is definitely relatable and there is nothing at all i haven't liked about which makes me feel inspired and more excited. Hopefully we will see more series like this. By the way, cannot wait for part 2!

This is a little gem that shines so much
When I first saw this come out I was stressed and watched the first 10 minutes and kind of blew it off. I wish I had watched it sooner! The story between Teh and Oh-aew is just so raw it’s amazing. The story that this tells in only 5 episodes is beautiful. Yes, it’s messy and they do hurt each other, but it’s Teh’s confusion for me. Or lack of confusion. When Tarn tells Ten that he is only hurting himself was really the kick in the balls that he needed. (And we all knew when Oh-aew said he liked Bas, it was a lie. Well not a lie, but it wasn’t the truth anymore.) I’m gonna go cry now. Can’t wait for part 2.

This drama truly is God-Tier
Like my headline says, this drama truly is God-tier. I never thought i'd be so invested emotionally in a Thai BL drama, but, here we are.I was one of the lucky ones, I discovered this drama 4 episodes in but that didn't make the wait for episode 5 any less painful or torturous and, like so many others, I was ready to travel to Thailand (even during covid!) to 'speak' to the director if we didn't get a happy ending, which (spoiler alert) We did!!!
I discovered ITSAY while watching a Youtube video rating the best underrated BL dramas of 2020 and ITSAY was on the list. I have to admit, I wasn't really interested at first but thought i'd check out the trailer. 1 min in, I knew! i knew I had to find a way to watch this. There are several places you could watch this drama but legally? You'd have to pay through vimeo and it ain't cheap. I believe they're charging 14$ per episode? but totally, totally worth it in my opinion. They could be charging a lot more and i'd be willing to pay it. I believe that's why it doesn't have a lot of 'views' or 'publicity' It's not that it's underrated, it's just not widely available. It's not on Youtube or any other 'free' streaming service.
I found a place (illegally i'll admit) where i was able to watch all 4 episodes immediately and I was hooked. From the first episode, I was already so invested in the characters and the story. I kept rewinding certain scenes because I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I really love the best friends to enemies to best friends to lovers trope, when it's well done, it's absolutely beautiful and ITSAY was very well done. The progression of the story and the development of the characters was so smooth.
I could go on and on about how much I love this drama but, my review really doesn't do this show justice. I've actually gone so far as to reveal myself and my love of BL drama's to my co-workers just so that I could talk about ITSAY, that's seriously how much i love it. Just trust me and watch the show, you'll be blown away. I only have a handful of BL drama's I re-watch and ITSAY is definitely on the top of my list.

A burst of emotions in the best way possible
I contemplated whether to write a review about this masterpiece as there are enough acclaiming it and giving you a guarantee where in the reader understands its worth a watch. However, I feel compelled to say that I don’t even watch thai dramas but an edit brought me here and I was left in awe of the masterpiece ITSAY is. After a very long time I’m suffering from a post drama syndrome and watching this show was a heart-wrenching experience in the best way possible. It has everything you want from a viewing experience- soft angst, healing, character development, a whole lot a feelings and a lingering feeling of a heavy heart. Please give it a watch if you’re doubting whether you would want to see it or not. It is absolutely worth it in every sense if the way.Cet avis était-il utile?

Mixed Feeling
well, their chemistry is no doubt. they are what everyone say it, one of the best couple indeed.but when i saw the acting goes on, i dont know but for me it's too cringey, too much crying!
the story is that good, but then come the tears everywhere, literally.
yes, the scenery was too good to be tru (ah, how i wonder going there soon)..
soundtrack really blended well with the situation, masterpiece, but then again comes the crying, ughh
well i just wish them act in the production like the old but good "SOTUS" or the newer one "1000 stars" or even maybe adaptation of "WBL"? surely cant wait!
please, don't waste their talent dear scriptwriter/director/producer

Best quality in both production and storytelling
If you're looking for a well-written and beautifully produced BL that leaves you craving more, congrats on finding it!The five episodes, each a little over an hour, give both the story as well as the characters time to develop and flourish. The relationship between the main characters feels real and natural. No sudden change of mind, like in other BL's.
Production and Cinematography are beautiful. Lingering, drawn out shots, that captcha the emotions of the characters so well, that I had to watch them over and over. I Told Sunset About You has set new expectations for me.
Overall a Friends to Enemies to Friends to Lover story well executed. I can't wait for the second season !

I truly loved it!
I have seen many series and I have never written one. I must say that I started watching it because I was very disappointed about another one I was waiting on. I truly loved the entire thing and was left wanting for more. It is definitely a must watch! The acting compared to other series was great! I cried when they cried and felt what they felt with their expressions. I honestly could say that this was a story about my own life. the only thing I was not fond of was Billkin's character being such a cry baby. Also, how they went back and forth and they acted as if nothing ever happened. I have seen PP in other series, but I really like his character here (minus the evil deeds). I enjoy how much they longed for each other, how their loved was felt. This was almost realistic, what I admired the most was the close friendships they all had. I think that it all connected so well.

Masterpiece
This series punched me right in the heart. First of all, the cast, music, and storyline were superb. This series is very special to me because of its realism. It really explores how difficult coming out can be on the one hand. On the other it explores how difficult it can be for the partner that is open and willing. Having been through a similar experience as a teen, it really hurt my heart at times to watch. They depicted that struggle and pain so beautifully. I really can't praise this series enough. I would definitely recommend. Bring the tissues because i sobbed more than once during the series. The acting was next level. 💜💜Cet avis était-il utile?
The most beautiful bl i have ever seen
Title says it all actually, go watch it!This story made me shiver, in a good way. Ive laughed and cried together with them. If you want to see a story with good acting and a good story where your heart will melt, shrink, break, than this is the serie for you!
This is the most beautiful bl I have ever seen and if you think that this is not true, than please send me the title of a serie that is better. I need more good stuff like this to watch. Thanks :))
I will have to make this review a little longer, but the thing is, there is nothing to say left. Everything about it is just perfect. No negative thoughts.
It might be long enough now, yes, byeeeeee!!!

This Show-
The story is, frankly, nothing new: it's a story of coming to face yourself, who you are, and the struggle of love. What makes this show stand out is how it was done. The cinematography is the best I've seen in BLs. It's just really good, period. The color and saturation, the angles, the tracking shots, was all done so well; every frame contributed to the unique mood of this show presented by the setting and by the characters. Honestly, I'm not a film major, so I can't truly analyze the cinematography, but there are lots of other reviewers that had done so. Even knowing nothing about film, I'm sure everyone who watched this could sense something special about how it was put together, even if you can't name it.
The characters:
I really disliked Teh. That was a big drawback on this show for me, and I almost quit watching because I got fed up with how he treated Oh Aew, but in the end his story arc brought me around to understanding him. He had some scenes that tore me apart and really made me feel for his character. He came a long way from the beginning of the show to the ending, and I want to have faith in him for the future, but some of his choices and actions in this season are leaving me in doubt.
Oh Aew: I loved him. He was a relatively static character in this show; his personality didn't change or evolve, but we as watchers slowly came to understand and to see him better. He deserves so much, and that's another thing that made me kind of dislike Teh: I really liked Aew and Bas. Aew needed someone like Bas, who could believe in him and trust him, not be embarrassed by him. Unpopular opinion, but I really shipped Aew and Bas, * Spoiler * even though I knew that it was not going to happen (or at least, that they wouldn't be endgame). I really wish Bas had gotten a happy ending too.
I felt for Tharn. Her acting was so good, especially in the last episode, when she faces Teh. I could see every emotion and realization play across her face. This kinda goes for all the actors: they were so good. In a show that depended on close-ups and at times even extreme close-ups, and lingering shots on all of their faces, the actors did such an amazing job with emotion.
I did struggle with how slow this show went. Part of it is just because I'm in school and busy and had no patience because I know that the shots are beautiful and the slowness is part of what makes this show so good. But I really struggled with it, haha.
I might add more to review/clean it up later. I need to get all my thoughts in order, as this show has so much to consider and unpack.

Too good to explain
I feel like there’s no words to describe this, but it also feels like I could write a 10 page essay on it. I’m just going to keep this short and simple, everyone NEEDS to watch it. Everything about it from the characters, to Phuket, to the OST is just pure perfection. It really shows the aspects of first love and the experiences of someone coming out of the closet for the first time. Much more refreshing from all the drama and exaggerations in other shows. So basically, unless you’re a homophobe, WATCH IT!Cet avis était-il utile?
