Underrated masterpiece
This drama, really hit me out of nowhere. I was really looking for something to pass the time while waiting for Word of Honor to be released but, the storyline, the characters, the chemistry between the male leads, the music, everything sucked me in and i'm so glad that it did. It actually took me a couple tries in the beginning. I didn't like the editing at first and the sound getting cut off from time to time really threw me off but, i stuck with it. I don't know what lured me in. At this point, I think i'm so trained now that when I see 'Bromance' in the tags of any drama, I'll be immediately interested. I have to admit, in the beginning I couldn't tell what the relationship between JYL and CYZ was at first, were they just two good friends helping each other out or...? The further I got into the drama though, the clearer it became. Kudos to Mao Zijun, he is such a beautiful actor who can emote through his eyes and you can see the love and emotion in them, he did such great job! The two males leads had such amazing chemistry, at times I felt like I was intruding on their relationship lol.I did initially come for the bromance but, I think I enjoyed the overall story, sets, cinematography, etc as well. I love oldies (movies, music, etc) but i've grown up on American oldies, it was nice to see the fashion, the sets and everything else from a different country.
Granted, there are so many things I can't stand about this drama but, I love it just the same. I haven't even completed it with English subtitles available (i saw the last 7 raw) but i'm already re-watching. I'm really sad it's not as popular as Word of Honor but, I hope that with my review, high(ish) ratings on MDL and promotions, that it will bring more fans to this great series, they deserve it.

Wow
Wow! is the best word I can use to describe this seriesI came in with no expectations and I have to say, I was honestly surprised at how much I loved this series. A lot of people said it was gonna have the same atmosphere as ‘He’s coming to me’ that initially got my curiosity piqued cause I loved HCTM. I knew there was gonna be quite a bit of drama which I felt would slow the storyline at times but, I didn’t see any issues. I’m also not a huge fan of Earth and I was afraid that would hinder my enjoyment of this series but it didn’t. He did such a good job. There are so many things I loved about this show.
I have to say, good job GMMTV, they’ve really started to step it up when it comes to their bl’s. I was captivated all the way to the last episode.

This drama truly is God-Tier
Like my headline says, this drama truly is God-tier. I never thought i'd be so invested emotionally in a Thai BL drama, but, here we are.I was one of the lucky ones, I discovered this drama 4 episodes in but that didn't make the wait for episode 5 any less painful or torturous and, like so many others, I was ready to travel to Thailand (even during covid!) to 'speak' to the director if we didn't get a happy ending, which (spoiler alert) We did!!!
I discovered ITSAY while watching a Youtube video rating the best underrated BL dramas of 2020 and ITSAY was on the list. I have to admit, I wasn't really interested at first but thought i'd check out the trailer. 1 min in, I knew! i knew I had to find a way to watch this. There are several places you could watch this drama but legally? You'd have to pay through vimeo and it ain't cheap. I believe they're charging 14$ per episode? but totally, totally worth it in my opinion. They could be charging a lot more and i'd be willing to pay it. I believe that's why it doesn't have a lot of 'views' or 'publicity' It's not that it's underrated, it's just not widely available. It's not on Youtube or any other 'free' streaming service.
I found a place (illegally i'll admit) where i was able to watch all 4 episodes immediately and I was hooked. From the first episode, I was already so invested in the characters and the story. I kept rewinding certain scenes because I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I really love the best friends to enemies to best friends to lovers trope, when it's well done, it's absolutely beautiful and ITSAY was very well done. The progression of the story and the development of the characters was so smooth.
I could go on and on about how much I love this drama but, my review really doesn't do this show justice. I've actually gone so far as to reveal myself and my love of BL drama's to my co-workers just so that I could talk about ITSAY, that's seriously how much i love it. Just trust me and watch the show, you'll be blown away. I only have a handful of BL drama's I re-watch and ITSAY is definitely on the top of my list.

Unpopular Opinion
Unpopular opinion time but, I didn't like the main couple. I actually fell in deep (deep) in love with the second couple. I thought their chemistry and story was overall better than the main. I don't mean to write negatively but, what i mean to say is, I still think the series is watchable as a whole even if the second couple isn't the main lol, what a mess my review is turning out to be.I really liked the progression of the second couples story better, it was a happier ending, even more so because the grandpa(?) want's to see his grandson again even if they did reject him earlier for being gay. Their chemistry was amazing, the shower scene omgosh, so hawt. I feel so lewd, I rewinded that scene alone several times and i loooooove looooove age-gap couples especially if the top is younger than the bottom. Trust me, the story is good too even if i am focusing on the steamier parts haha.
I liked almost all the HIStory (series) and this one was no different.

Kim So Hyun
I love Kim So Hyun, it's very rare that I like actresses; in general but when I find one I do, I tend to check out their works and this out of many of her projects, was the one that stuck out to me the most. She is such a talented actress. I cried with her at the beginning of the show and laughed at the end for her happiness. I really liked this drama and even though i've been done with the whole high school teen series trope, this one was a gem. I admit, I skipped a little bit towards the end because I felt like it was getting draggy but, I completed it and i'm glad that I did.Cet avis était-il utile?

A happy mistake
Yep, it was one of those days where I was completely bored out of my mind. Scrolling mindlessly on what to watch when I stumbled upon this little thing. I watched a couple trailers and was sliiiiiightly interested. Altough hesitant because of the episode count, I pressed the play button and let this drama take me on an adventure and, what an adventure it was!Have you ever liked a drama so much you binged 20 episodes in one sitting? I feel like I could’ve finished the series in a day but, old timers like me gotta sleep. I can’t explain how much I absolutely love this drama. The characters, music and most importantly, the plot! Something I feel like has never been done in a any drama, Korean or otherwise. Imagine waking up one day to realize you’re a character in a comic book and a supporting character at that! Tag line taken straight from the drama itself but, really, that’s the question I had in my mind the whole time I was watching. Some days, I feel like the main character in my own life and some days, I feel like an extra. This drama makes one think about their own significance in the story they’re telling. How important am I to the story and who’s the writer of my comic?
While I admit, the first 20 some odd episodes were a breeze, I’m starting to notice a drag in plot. I feel like things get repeated too often and the characters become very predictable. With all that being said, I love this drama and encourage everyone to give it a try!

I tried, i really did.
I tried to watch this drama, i really did. I must've started Episode 1 at least 5 times and watched all the way through to episode 3. While my review is not based on the drama as a whole since it's still airing, i'm gonna go based on what i've seen and honestly, I'm not crazy about it. I...was never interested in this drama from the get-go. Based on the trailers it seemed like a very generic and basic storyline. I really only started because of TopTap.Like I stated earlier, I really only started this drama because I love TopTap <3 I thought their couple did a good job, the comedy aspect was definitely there. I laughed so much but I don't know whether it was the show itself, the premise or how ridiculous I thought all of it was. I like Khao and Plod too but they had 0 chemistry, plus I'm a huge SunMork bias and i'm hoping they get another drama together, so maybe that affected my view of this drama? Plus, i've seen so many other great dramas this year that this one fell waaaaay below the line.
Already from the first 3 episodes I could tell I wasn't gonna finish this. I really don't know where they went wrong, how about how homophobic I felt Ton was? That alone really turned me off. Maybe they might develop his character and he'll somehow have a 'a-ha' moment of him 'discovering himself' and falling in love with Chon but I really, don't care.
I'm sorry if my review is all over the place but that's how i felt about the drama too. Maybe down the line, I could eventually get myself to finish it, but I'm gonna sit this one out for now.

Tul Pakorn
I...made an account on mydramalist just so I could talk about Manner of Death and how beautiful Tul looks in this series. This is really just a hype-Tul post honestly. I haven't watched the whole series as it's still airing but i'm pretty obsessed with it already. I've already re-watched episodes 1-4 several times and I love it every single time. I love Tul and Max so much and i knew they were going to do a great job. All their other series that they've done together (pun intended) are my absolute fav's. I love the music in this so much and the story is captivating and exciting and I can't wait to see how the series plays out. I'm curious to know who the suspect/killer is, I have my theories but I won't check any spoilers that's how obsessed I am with this series and the progression. Tul looks so beautiful in this, he really does. I've always been in love with Max, but Tul and his full head of hair (lol) are gorgeous. I really hope they get the proper recognization they deserve because they are truly great actors. Don't miss this series, it's a really good one. My review scores are relatively high based on only the first 4 episodes, depending on how the series progresses, I might change it so take it at face-value .Cet avis était-il utile?
