not as bad as you think
It's not a horrible show... the storyline can be confusing and has plot holes (something I can't stand but I digress) and I feel like gmmtv didn't really care much for this production, unfortunately but:It's mostly a cute story with some angst - but it can be hard to follow sometimes. I'll say I liked it, though.
Even though Frank and Drake weren't experiencd, I think they did a really good job.
Overall, I'd say just give it a chance.
And I feel like there's a lot they could do with a second season.
Also, is Ching(?) bi? Cause they didn't expand on her at all but hinted at it. :/// We really need more wlw relationships in these shows

It doesn't deserve the hate it gets but I kinda get why
The story itself is not bad, in fact I was having so much fun watching the first half of the show. Both actors Drake and Frank did a good job at being protagonists and they make a good couple (in this series only because I hate them in 2gether), also there's Phuwin and Neo's characters who are the CUTEST little babies in the universe! They steal the scene everytime, really. What I have to complain here is about the production: the sound is so terrible sometimes they are talking near cars and all you can hear is traffic noise and the wind very aggressively running through the microphones. It's very hard to watch certain scenes because this show was clearly made with low budget, even though they tried. There was this other thing that bothered me which is the fact that there's homophobia in this drama and it didn't seem to be this kind of series. I think they lost a lot of content with this whole thing because it starts being just about that and not about what really matters which is the romance itself.Cet avis était-il utile?
The writing always kept me guessing about what would happen next (although to be fair there were a few plot points that were not clear or fully resolved - the characters need a Season 2). I liked the cinematography. I felt it transported me very well to the setting and the setting became another familiar character as the story unfolded.
My favorite thing about the series concerns the acting. I am deeply impressed. All the characters were rendered in a most believable way, such that I will have a hard time seeing for instance Drake as anyone other than Mork and Frank as anyone other than Tee. I know they will play other characters in the future but I will always think of them as Mork and Tee. I feel like they became so familiar to me over the course of the series that they are now like family members. The same can be said for the rest of the cast.
It's rare that I care so much about the characters and I am hoping that they will all be brought back for a Season 2. I would love to continue the journey with these characters that started in Season 1. Until then I will keep watching Season 1 again and again and again.

a good drama with good chemistry that was ruined by bad production
I wasn't going to watch this drama at first because I had seen some quite negative reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The only truly disappointing thing was the production quality especially coming from the same company as "SOTUS" and "Kiss Me Again". The sounds in the street weren't edited properly but I don't really something just felt a wee bit lazy but still not the worst production level I've ever seen. The storyline has some gaps in that I only really understood after rewatching. There are also some scenes that seem very irrelevant as well as parts of the storyline - having Au fall for Mork made no sense as it didn't really have that much impact on the actual couple. The side couple was also quite irrelevant for me just seemed to be there to have something else going on but the series would have been fine without them. I do have to admit that a big part as to why I like this drama so much maybe because of how much I like Drake but it was this series that got me into him anyway so take that as you wish.
The music isn't memorable but I do like the title song. I think it suits the overall vibe of the series.
One thing that I was extremely surprised and impressed at was the acting quality and chemistry between Drake and Frank. I was expecting some awkwardness from them as they were both 18 and this was their first main role but even from the beginning I was so impressed by the tension between them.
I have rewatched this series many times but as I said earlier there is a high chance it is just because I like Drake and Frank so that is a biased rating but I do think that it is an easy watch fun drama. It isn't too serious and is something fun and innocent that is enjoyable.
Overall, the main thing I would change is the production of the series. The quality needed improving and the storyline just seemed like they were trying to copy what all other bl dramas do. The making the girlfriend jealous, the friend secretly being in love, a parent disliking and trying to break up the couple. If I could rewrite the story I would have simply made it about two boys who went their separate ways trying to understand their feelings for each other. Maybe the friend thing would have worked better had it been more impactful. But despite this and my own bias I do recommend this drama even if it's just to broaden your bl horizons.

This show had so many good moments to unfortunately end up cemented in mediocrity. I liked the premise and the setting gave me Lovesick vibes in this current market saturated with college set BLs. The story really could have gone somewhere great and just never delivered on any level. This could’ve been a great coming of age story with self discovery and coming into one’s sexuality and navigating the already confusing realm of first relationships coupled with a less than accepting society. It’s sadly easier to list the things i liked rather than the things i didn’t like about this BL, but I’ll do both. I mostly enjoyed the acting. I thought Mork and Tee made a good couple and though it’s apparent that Frank and Drake are newbies their chemistry was cute and roles mostly well delivered. I really appreciated that outside of one daughter-in-law joke by Tee, they mostly avoided the one of us is the guy and one of us is the girl stereotype. The show tried to tackle some pretty heavy topics like suicidal thoughts, serious health concerns, repercussions of living in a bigoted society, and underdelivered on every single one. But i mean they tried lol. Gourd and Morn were my favorites. I really felt for Gourd and his secret crush and didn’t feel a lack of cuteness b/c of constraints surrounding the age of their characters. I also appreciated that Mork’s friends were so supportive and the fact that the secondary love interest Au was 1. Not a girl and 2. Not a lunatic.
Ok, now dig in, here’s where they went wrong. First, Tee’s mom sucked! What a hypocrite, but i mean the acting yikes. The plot holes are numerous and the plot progression had me like the kombucha girl meme, confused and unsure then pleasantly intrigued backed to confused. They never develop or rather reveal Tee and Mork’s background story very well and Ton’s character especially felt underutilized. I’m still wondering if Tee suffers from some mental illness (depression or other) and they never explain why he faints all the time and what condition Mork has (I’m guessing something related to what his mom had, but again they never get into that either). I’m surprised by the poor production especially coming from a studio as large as GMMTV. The sound quality in multiple scenes was horrible which was annoying to me, but didn’t hinder my understanding as an inter fan reading subtitles, so i can only imagine how poorly it comes across when you’re listening for comprehension. WHEN GOURD MOVED HIS DESK THE CAMERA SHOOK. I was cackling haha.
Look it’s cute. Drake and Frank have a fan base and are appearing together in GMMTVs currently airing (2020) series 2gether (as background characters don’t get your hopes up lol). The series didn’t make it into the “waste of time” category, so if you’re a BL fan and you have the time I’d say watch it, but I will not be rewatching it.

confusing and strange
I may have possibly watched this with my expectations too high, after having watched and loved Mork & Tee's 'Our Skyy' episode, so my feelings of 'meh' are possibly my own fault.Having said that, 'meh' is about what sums this series up.
The soundtrack is good, the acting is good (leaning towards great at times, especially from Drake) but the plot is a mess. The characterisation was inconsistent and the the tone kept shifting.
My biggest problem with this is the plot. It starts out light-hearted and kind of funny, with Mork handing Tee a bag of gay porn DVD's in front of his girlfriend and their subsequent little prank war and that's all well and good. Then it gets all heavy and serious - which I'd have no problem with if I could actually follow it along and it made sense in terms of what had already been set up.
Mork keeps getting nosebleeds - does it mean something? Yes, apparently, but it's never made clear what. How did Tee and Mork first meet? At the school or at the internet cafe? I'm not sure. How long did they know each other before they were separated again? A couple of days? A week? Dunno.
The way the series is structured, it seems like the first six episodes were going to be one season, and the next six were going to be the second, and then the production team just decided to jam the both together. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of my confusion stems from what was cut out of the episodes.
Is this worth watching? If you have nothing else to watch, sure. Is it worth re-watching? I don't believe so. Once is quite enough.
Like I said, it's just 'meh.'

It was good but then .....
Honestly, I really liked this drama at the beginning, the main couple were so cute. It was just pretty much fluff without plot. It started out as an 8.But over time, this drama just went down hill for me. It became confusing. It became way to intense way to fast. The low budget really started to get to me. Which was weird because quality visually and audio wise normally doesn't bother me. But you can literally see how lazy the director is with shot and angle types. The lighting is consistently off. The audio when the characters were out in public was just terrible and it was occasionally bad when they weren't out in public. Some side character's acting felt so forced and fake. But worst of all the story felt "stuck". Neither the characters or plot have developed charmingly in any way.
Notice how in the beginning of my review I said "fluff without plot". I lied. This drama had fluff (cuteness) and 'somewhat' of a plot. The plot wasn't good but it was still there. Then about halfway through we lost the plot and then we lost the fluff after that. So now we are just stuck with this "drama".
I have been really disappointed with GMM's dramas this year. The Gifted is the only one that looks like it is worth something (even though I haven't seen it yet). Although I am hoping Wolf and Friend Zone will be good.
WHAT'S ACTUALLY GOOD? :
Mork's and Tee's actors have great chemistry. Also the intro song is a bop.
This drama has been okay and is an overall meh.

Eu amei o casal secundário e o desenvolvimento deles na reta final me surpreendeu.

Low Budget
Honestly this for me was a real waste of my time, and screen play,It felt like a really low budget series thrown together for the sake of viewing time. The Story was so depressing and I found the second male lead to be very annoying and more like an attention seeker, and the first lead just didn't have a back bone to stand up for anything, he went from being a bully to being a sissy literally!!
At some points you could actually see the cameraman shake like his arm was sore or something, and the dialogue didn't seem to go with the drama, it just like there was more drama then actual necessary for a show of this kind.

A string of random events
Like many here, I read the reviews for the series before I decided to give it a watch and this was certainly a wild ride. The basic plot is simple, 2 boys at school with different personalities meet, spend time together and fall in love amidst pressure from parents and society to some extent. However, the way the series has been directed, the story gets more and more convoluted as it progresses and when you reach the finale the issues are simply resolved and you wonder whether you skipped an episode or two.The sound recording has been atrocious at places and the dialogue is confusing. The acting has been mediocre but considering all the actors have been young, I can give that a pass. But credit where credit is due, the only thing that made me not give up on this BL was the chemistry between the 2 leads. The acting chops may be lacking but in certain scenes I could feel the spark between them.
I have seen the same actors in other series and their acting skills have certainly improved. So kudos to them. That being said, this series isnt complelety hopeless and can certainly be recommended when you are feeling lazy and can't find anything good to watch.

semplice, dolce e delicato.
consigliatissimo

Strong Characters Overcome Weak Plot
I'm not going to try to explain the plot because the characters really drive the interest of this story. The main couple, Mork (Drake Sattabut) and Tee (Frank Thanatsaran) have known each other since middle school. There was an early misunderstanding that drove them apart until high school, when this story takes place. (I'm assuming it's high school because it's never clear. They seem to skip classes so often its a wonder they aren't expelled). It's pretty clear Tee is gay and certain of his feelings but he hesitates to express them to Mork. We watch Mork evolve from an indifferent acquaintance to a loving, maybe-gay partner who is the most invested in their relationship. Meanwhile, Mork's younger brother Morn (Phuwin Tangsakyuen) is having a growing bromance with this friend Gord (Neo Trai). Given these two boys are in middle school, their drama is a bit more unusual and interesting to watch. At the conclusion, Mork and Tee get engaged, even though they've never gone beyond kissing. The story asks if they really need to go beyond that to be in love and it's a good question. I have to think there must be many straight couples who partner just for companionship. But I suspect the audience hoped for that final romantic scene as the payoff for 12 hours of viewing. A key plot point is Tee's mom doesn't approve of his gay relationship and tries to drive them away. Then Tee and Mork are involved in a car accident and this changes her mind about them. This scene was poorly executed and really unnecessary. Earlier we had been introduced to Tee's grandmother who approved of his relationship. It would have been far more dramatic and satisfying to the audience for the elder member of the household to scold her daughter for her selfish behavior, Special mention should be given to Khaotung Thanawat who play's Mork's best friend Au, who has a boy crush on Mork. His storyline is a missed opportunity to explore the tragedy of loving someone who doesn't share your affection. There was a hint that Au had a secret admirer of his own, but that's never developed. When these long BL dramas struggle to fill the time, it would be better to develop these more offbeat subplots than repeat the same conflicts with the main characters. On the production side: Thai BL dramas seem to have a lot of sound problems, particularly when characters have physical contact and their shirt worn lavalier microphones are bumped. There are an excessive number of bad mic pick-ups in this series. These should have been dubbed (rerecorded) in the studio. The camera work is better, with only a couple of live focus and framing errors. Indeed, many of the visuals are quite good. On acting, Drake (as Mork) gets most the screen time and he manages to keep his ever-changing character consistent through the story. In the beginning, his character is so stoic we wonder if he'll ever display any emotion, but we grow to love him most at the conclusion. Frank gives us a rather icy Tee who never fully melts into the kind of chemistry we hope for. Playing a 15-year-old middle schooler doesn't give Phuwin (Morn) a very wide pallet of emotions to play with. But we get a nice surprise toward the end of the drama when Morn confronts Gord about the shallowness of their relationship. The final hugging scene is nicely drawn. Neo Trai delivers a wonderfully subtle performance showing Gord's struggle with wanting to reveal his true feelings toward Morn but fearing he might drive him away. His confrontational speech with Morn is a highlight of the show. It's too bad the script didn't go through one more rewrite because some minor fixes could have made this show an easy 10 rating. Still, I can recommend it for Drake's performance and the secondary story involving Morn and Gord.Cet avis était-il utile?
