Yes, the first episode that aired had a scene or 2 that wasn't very "nice" and respectful towards the culture that was being used as a setting, but you know the PD and studio were sorry when they put an apology infront of every episode that aired and they even removed said scene(s) from any streaming or ondemand services. This series is being drilled into the ground because of a mistake they made in 1! episode and in my review I'm going to look further and not let this one-time occurance get in the way of the true gem this drama is.
--The Characters--
Let me just say, the characters are amazing, they all have at least a decent backstory. No character is empty or just there to fill air. They all have some role, even abdallah who is just a right-hand and probably has the least backstory honestly for me was one of the most enjoyable characters. This actor is someone you should keep an eye out for, he's amazing.
--The Story--
If you take everything away, the story is nothing special. It's a normal plot but it's being made awesome by the cast. They truly went for it and it makes you feel good.
The humor is amazing too, choi min-soo as the rich long lost father is gold. He manages to put this silly humor into his scenes which turns all of them into magic.
--Overall--
Overall this drama is gold, the characters all add something which turns a simple plotline into so much more.
Please don't let all the hate talk on the internet turn you away from this drama, it's definetly a must watch and you won't regret it.

Unbiased review
As a person who's from the global south, raised in a arabic speaking and muslim majority country, this show offended me for reasons that are in no way related to the misrepresatation of Arabs. Comedy is a hyperbole, and after all, unlike any other ethnicity middle-easterns were at least able to pressure/buy an apology. I don't think the countless times Africans were misrepresented and insulted by the Asian industry have ever been addressed by a TV network or a production team before. That's privilege. The plot would've actually worked if not of the twisted fan servicing the industry keeps engaging in. I even liked how the actors dealt with this poor script.
Now to the actual problems : Why the heck is this show telling us that husbands are expected to cheat, if they don't they should be celebrated, if they do they should be forgiven? Why is the mistreatment of women forgiven and even rewarded? Why are age-gap relationships, sexual assaults and incest the jole here?? I disappointed in the actors who accepted these roles. Why is it normal for in-laws to mistrat a wife, for people to mistreat orphans? Why are they forgiven and rewarded in this drama?
It's giving way too much green light to many many toxic and borderline crimanl behaviors.
What I'm amazed by is how people were offended by the far-fetched comedy regarding a rich conservative country, who nobody believes is true, and not by the actual offensive things that actually happen in reality to women, which is tolerated in the drama.

Too rich to die...
The controversy regarding the middle east content was only contained during the first 10 minutes to serve as an introduction while the remainder of the drama was solely in South Korea. Regardless of these 10 minutes intro, the drama had plenty of problems splattered everywhere. I've seen a much better performance from Shin Sung Rok in his prior projects to this one as well as from future ones, his performance here was just weaker than usual. The drama attempted to blend slapstick humor with more serious, emotional beats, creating a rocky viewing experience. The exaggerated extravagant persona of the father got kinda old and tiring halfway through and a change with the dynamics was needed. Which is also why everything felt so contrived and limited for a 12 episodes drama from the cast size to characters, pace, storylines and writing in general. Don't get me started about the writing, it was doing the bare minimum while relying on the high melodramatic and emotional moments to mask it as a big functional piece. Overall, the first half was decent enough but it didn't go anywhere after that.Cet avis était-il utile?
