Kimi wa Petto is the Japanese drama that the film is based upon. It is ALMOST the same storyline but with much more detail and a little more heart.
Both are about a hard working woman that finds a boy in weird circumstances, takes him in and treats him as a pet, but due time becomes addicted to him and sees him as a man.
Based on the same Manga.First adoption of the Manga,, but the ending differs from the Manga as the Manga was on going at that time.
Both has similar story about younger man and older woman. Kimi wa Petto has more comedy though. Sapuri is more realistic. Both are really good dramas and both has main male lead from Johnny's.
Kinda has similar ring to it.... Same female lead and intruding plot. Older woman & young man relation
