To The Beautiful You (2012)

let me start of by saying MINHO YOU'RE HOOOOTTT!!!!!!!!!!!! wew! (heavy breathing)

ahahhahaha kidding aside, I found this drama terrible (I'm so sorry! I know I'm sorry) *preparing my back for SHINEE fan attacks*

The show started of soooo well. It was like really good. I traded my Thursdays and Fridays' two hours for this shiz and i was nawt impressed. They really hit it off with a great cast. like omg sulli! omg minho! etcetera Everyone's a flowerboy which is expected and i guess that's just the missing link on why i kept watching the drama.

Off to the review! yadayadayada

You know the feeling where you eat spaghetti and you get a bunch of strands like okay i can eat this but then the strands don't stop coz they're too long. you just keep slurping and eating and wondering to yourself when you're gonna swallow and chew it all up. But you can't! That's just like this drama, and Big and a few other dramas that are not worth mentioning because of the heartbreak you've realized after wasting a few good 16 hours for a 16-episode minidrama. (i crey)

Basically, it's a fan series FOR. THE. FANS.

Sulli and Minho had chemistry. okay that's a given. They were almost perfect. But Almost is never Enough. (quoting Ariana myqueen) there were no sparks!!!! i flipped my ipod over and over. Perhaps there were scenes that are really unnecessary for the character progressions of both leads. I crey. I'm looking forward to their acting though in the future.

As for the other characters. ugh. I found none of them the lil bit interesting except for Eun Gyeol who swept me off my feet like the way he bounces his half-soccer-shaped hair. Perhaps he's the only one who actually made the story smart i dunno. The others? well, not so much. They're typically designed to beautify the screen. Perhaps a lil less on the beautification and a lil more on the storyline, TTBY is good to go.

OHMAYGAHD i almost forgot. i have to make an exception for Kwanghee too. he's adorbs.
And your lipstick, i just gotta have it!!!! lol

The ost is ah-mazing. yea rock-on! Esp that one that plays usually on a "cliff-hanger" (I PUT THE QUOTATION MARKS INTENTIONALLY idk maybe ughh they're not really that intense i dunno) I'm usually one who downloads osts after watching a drama. It's Me by Sunny and Luna is still here on my playlist (yay!!!)

Re-watch uggh okay i'll be generous i give you 1.0

Over-all i gave it a 3.5. It's not so bad to kill time if you really plan to ''kill'' time (evil laugh). I gave TTBY 3 initially but mydramalist happened to have this '.5' in their new feature like okay, let's add '.5' to make it a 4 but not really a 4 cause it's somewhere near 3.

I REALLY LOVEDDDDDD THIS DRAMA BUT HUHUHU I ALMOST DROPPED IT BECAUSE IT CONTINUED TO DRAG ON AND ON AND ON AND ON... AND YOU GUESS IT,... AND ON..

Whyy??!! They had the perfect cast. Almost perfect. But just like King Skyes and Queen Grande had suggested it ''Almost is Never Enough''

This doge is too dramatic. I just had to get this off of my chest. I still love you Minho and Sulli and Rachel Tan!!!! I love you guys! HWAITING!!

*Sorry if I made a review, even though the drama is still airing. I just want to express my opinion at this particular drama.Please bear with me T_T*

After watching its pilot episode, I felt that this particular remake of Hana Kimi is something. It managed to capture some of 'Hana Kimi Japan' & 'Hana Kimi Taiwan' and managed to encapsulate it one show.

While watching it, I'm quite happy that it's humor is not that over the top, due to this, it retained some of its "seriousness" which is needed to make the chemistry work for all of the characters.

I'm also delighted to see some interesting plot changes, subplots and the current pace this drama is taking. (I hate to see dramas drag too much). Trying to explain certain things that the previous remakes failed to tackle. I also like the fact that I actually saw some real 'high jump' stance, and even recording it with "105 high-speed cameras to film the high jumping in bullet time"

I guess the music and the cast has some more goodies to show in the next episodes.

I LOVE this drama. I don't know what it is about it but it has stayed with me even though it was the 5th drama I EVER watched. I loved Minho (From Shinee) and I even liked Sulli (from f(x)) who surprisingly cut off nearly 3 ft of hair (one of her crowning glories mind you) for this role. Admittedly I will warn you the end is not my favorite and Sulli's English (much less ability to act like she lived in the US) is lacking but the rest of the story is fun. I like FUN dramas that keep me watching and make me feel warm and fuzzy and this drama did that for me.

When I think back over the dramas I have watched so far this one always comes to mind. All of the characters balanced out well and it left me feeling happy. :)

At first I didn't know if i should watch this Drama or not.
I did't watch it beacause of the actors. Of course I Like Sulli, but that wasn't the reason, I watched this.
The Story itself is great and I enjoyed to watch it.
I already saw "Hana Kimi" (Japan) and "Hana Kimi" (Taiwan). At first I thought it would be like the japanese one, but I have to say, i like the story more than the japanese version of Hana Kimi.
I missed a bit the funny gay doctor, like in the taiwanese, he was a bit boring and there was nothing special about him.
Eun Gyeol was not that funny, but cute. =)

The acting was ok, but not aswesome. Sulli really does not look like a boy. Everyone can see that, I think another actress would have been better, but I don't say that her acting was bad.

The Music wasnÄt that great aswell. I Love "Stand Up" and another one, but not muc of the soundtrack is that great.

The drama was too slow and boring for me. I found the female lead making a huge change in her life just to help her sports star a little ridiculous and stupid. The whole drama was boring stereotypical and humourless to me. It seemed too overdramatic and overboard with everything. I would recommend it to people who don't mind the stereotypical cold male lead and other such stereotypes. The boys in the school were super generalized and everyone seemed like the same "rowdy" type of person. The drama has also disappointed most people who came here after reading the manga. I didn't like it despite not reading the manga. In my opinion it is just the worst collection of stereotypes put together in 1 drama.
