- Both couples are initially at odds in the beginning
- Both couples include one of them being royalty and one working in the palace
- Both of them have a palace conspiracy
- Happy ending and resolution for lead couple

differences:
- In Rookie Historian, side characters intervene and move the plot more than supporting characters in My Sassy Girl. Rookie Historian's supporting characters are also arguably more complex (imo).

Liu Ling is a young member of the royal family who has been granted the auspicious title of Princess Chang Le by the Emperor – who has a soft spot for her (and thinks little of her father). She is aged 20, and until now she has lived a pampered and privileged life. She is capricious, impatient, and quite bratty. Even when people lavish gifts upon her, she treats them with disdain. She has a habit of rubbing people up the wrong way and acting impulsively – a fact that has seen her develop many enemies at court. Even the common folk have a habit of spreading malicious – and often totally unfounded – rumors about her. On her birthday, she decides – on a whim – to travel out of the palace to drink in a private room at an exclusive inn. She drinks herself into a stupor and is sleeping off the alcohol when Shen Yan, a young army commander and an ice-cold martial artist stumbles into her room after having been injured in a sword fight with a notorious bandit. The Princess falls for this wounded warrior and tries to win his heart – although he initially doesn’t seem very impressed with her advances. But, given time, could this unlikely duo strike up a friendship – or an even more unlikely romance?

** This is written before I finish watching TFM
Similarities:
- Both are set in historical time but completely fictional (modern day behaviour)
- Have strong comedy borderline parody
- Somehow heavy on political conspiracy
- FL is kind of reckless sometimes rude in both dramas
- ML is nice and understanding
- Love triangle doesn’t work in both

Differences:
- Revers character hierarchy
- TFM is giving strong SML syndrome
- TFM have better romantic chemistry and swoon moments.

Both historical dramas. Similar headstrong and stubborn female lead. Also similar conspiracies in the royal family storyline.

During the Joseon Dynasty, a young woman named Hong Chun Ki is a painter – a true rarity in Joseon Korea, where Confucian values dictate that such pursuits are unsuitable for a woman. She was born blind but somehow managed to acquire a sense of vision. And now she has been accepted to the most prestigious art college in the land. One day, she meets Ha Ram, an astrologer whose fate is the polar opposite of her own: Although he was born sighted, he lost his vision in a childhood accident. Regardless, he is also in possession of an astounding talent that allows him to read the future by tracing the movement of the sky at night despite the fact that he is blind. The duo is sucked into the machinations of the royal court, particularly those involving two princes, the free-spirited Prince Yang Myung and the cruel, scheming Prince Joo Hyang – a man who longs to become the next Joseon king.

Similar to mr.queen my sassy girl is a period drama. Both explore a sassy vs calm and serious relationship . An amazing romantic story that you must watch.

Similar to me queen my sassy girl is a period drama that follows a princess who doesn’t conform to royal standards and a noble who seems to strongly dislike her outlandishness. Their clashing personalities bring them together in this romantic story.

Both are historical fantasy dramas;
Both are very funny and gently;
Many jokes and comic scenes;
Both have the cutest romance ever!

Enjoy "My Sassy Girl" with something hot and sweet, specially in cold days. And "The Tale of Nukdu" with a snack salted or something spicy hahaha make all the difference!

Hope you liked!

This is a drama remake of the old Korean movie "My Sassy Girl" so I'd like to think the essence of the plot will be the same.

Both are "historical romcoms" – funny and charming.
Both have strong female characters, although they are in very different roles.

Romance between a prince/ princess and a subject. Both dramas have humor and romance. Love in the moonlight the girl is poor, but in My Sassy Girl the boy is from an important family. Similar feels.
Recommandé par userbmc
Both dramas are historical gender, but Queen for seven days is more dramatic. I think they are similar because Shin Chae Kyung in Queen for seven days is the child of one of the king's subjects, so as Gyun Woo in My Sassy Girl. They both have relationships with princess/ princes.
