my interpretation
before i watched this film, i decided to look up the reviews and overall were mixed. this film has its flaws. yet, i don’t considered a bad film. the story to me was about someone’s personal struggles over sexuality, love, lust, & confusion. Shane, one of the main leads, he seems to be confused about his sexuality. not only that, he is in conflict with his feelings between his girlfriend and his best friend. Jonathan, Shane’s best friend, is secretly in love with Shane. He is always there for Shane and can be seen to be very valuable to Shane. I believed Jonathan played such a vital role in Shane’s life that when Shane saw himself losing Jonathan, he realized hidden feelings. I think Shane genuinely loved his girlfriend and Jonathan. he was in a battle with himself. He seemed he couldn’t make up his mind and didn’t want to lose either. Obviously, his girlfriend and Jonathan had to bring Shane to his senses and make him choose. which is where i found the biggest flaw of this film, the ending !! we get no closure or dropped hint of what comes next. we are left with such vague ending.Cet avis était-il utile?

The first movie of this series is very cute and cheesy, though, this movie is incredibly dark. I loved the transition of this, but it is a bit confusing as many questions were left unanswered. The character development was rushed. For example, Lu Feng suddenly goes from sweet and loving to a dominant and low-temper person. The plot line did became more interesting and original than the first one. I really wish there would’ve been a third film to explain some confusing parts of this film *sighs* This movie has a lot of angst than fluff. The ending is probably the most upsetting part of this movie. so many people dislike it, but I actually have mixed feelings. It’s no surprise it is a sad ending due to being a Chinese film, but I sort I liked it, it’s more up to debate at how you want to see the ending and I love that. In my imagination, they both die together which ended their suffering. Cet avis était-il utile?

Just a personal thought
when i first began watching this series, I had no idea what i was getting myself into. At first, I was rooting for the main lead guy. I was expecting some character development from him as well as the main character which was not the case at all. as the story progressed, I realized the second lead deserved the world. I couldn't understand the plot/ending. Seriously ?!?! We start off with the main leads already being in a relationship. The main character is actually in a healthy relationship. I was confused as to why he would simply leave his boyfriend for a complete a stranger ? Like the director forgot to give the main character a personality. we never get an explanation on why the main lead fell hard for the stranger he met at a pool and why he chose him over his boyfriend. I even felt his boyfriend and him had better chemistry than the main lead. In conclusion, I found the love story between the main leads to be so random lol if you are looking for a bl series for pure entertainment then this the one.Cet avis était-il utile?
