Brace Your Flight to Avert Catastrophe

Personal Note before Review: I have reassembled my thoughts before pouring mine out due to being influenced to look at letterboxd's reviews (before the official release, because they watch pre-screen from Cannes Award last year), then my mind goes screwed all over then messed all up like *rant-rage mode activated* so I prefer to opinize mine rather than hearing their thoughts instead

TL;DR: What if you already plan to take a vacation abroad, but when it comes to an emergency situation; you've come unprepared beforehand? What if you have zero knowledge of what's going on up there, but decide to side with the fault before reading the room? That's basically what happened during this watch of its announcement theme. You'll never know what's up or below, sky or land, just to resolve a calamity

I have come up with its pros and cons, but most cons are from their perspectives and my assumptions (which doesn't mean that's their overall thoughts. It's just a theory)

PROS:

It's Not That You Instead of Delving into This Story But Must IMMERSE Their Experience
There is a reason why I should encourage you to use the upgrade cinema feature (4DX or Screen X if you afford it): this one. As you can see from all trailers, you need to experience how it feels to fly through the horizon, while encountering the crisis itself. It slowly starts from the usual atmosphere on land, then before departure, then all... all combined into one while knowing their solving to each problem

Every Main Lead Nailed Their Tasks. Period
Nothing goes unresolved in this film. They made a great job settling down every precise detail of its roots. From solving cases to ongoing aviation crisis, which is why I really love this development so much that I want to rewatch it all over again. I have no queasy feeling for this film for the first time I ever had, which is funny coming from myself, who dislike marathons such mediums

It Will Leave You Emotional Depending on The Circumstances
General to personal, for some main leads' stories. Leaves you wondering why, but you found the answer throughout the film. Can't say it's unpredictable, but all I can say is unexpected

A Reality-Check Eventhough It's Fiction
But I believe this director collect/researched all investigation cases, especially major ones into this remarkable movie. Sad to say that this is not from the true event, but he leaves wonderful, inspirational traces behind, even after his previous creations. Salute

Now, to its CONS:

Longer Movie Duration
I realized that some of the watchers I observed during that, are dozing off; and bigger 'alarms' (you'll see why) woke them up. I don't think this one is a part of the weakness for this film because I find it overall enthusiastic (yet also wondering how some can endure watching not instead of 2+ hours, even from web movies like 4+ or maximum 8 hours?)

Political Issues Included, Hence Biased Favor of Its Propaganda
Yes.... this one, is pretty much undeniable, and I see the pattern there. I mean, not willing to take any risks from certain countries, hence being one-sided and all. I don't want to be specific on which country, but you'll see, again, why

Regardless of any endings they made: happy, sad, or open-endings, I'd still rate this 10 anyways, because they have portrayed everything beautifully, and made it a Hollywood-esque level of VFX, cinematography... even its storyline, too. I've been more than glad despite its 2-year delay, it's the most worth watching; therefore the best Korean movie I ever watched so far

Although (Nothing) Changes, The Last Wind Breezes By

First, I'm grateful to catch up on every single thing in this sequel. 'Nothing Has Changed, Unless We Do Something' pinpoints out that they're not doing this for nothing. They did, for the betterment of all generations' future, even include the next as well. All I can say for sure is that they exceed my expectations, that I thought "oh, they're still not disbanding DP?" and I felt relief to watch. It's all good. And for the best

And definitely... I'm awaiting for the final season. It's gonna be a trilogy one, surely. And that wind (stands for wish and hope in Hangul), will passes to the rightful ones

Hit or Miss: To Be Saved or Drowned by the Unknown

I agree with one of the reviewers, felicismoon for her final review; but somehow I need to pinpoint/add some of my final thoughts for this as well. Believe me, I'm among the anticipated viewers that somehow feel like, this can be on-par along with Space Sweepers (also space-themed too, coincidentally released in the same year, early), based on my first impression of the plot synopsis and main posters; but I was wrong, from the very start.

Cons as given:

1) VISUAL FX GOES TO OLD TIMES (literally)

since this is basically focused on outer space that I found it mildly infuriating that they tend to forget by giving attention to Earth, in detail, graphically. Early episodes are a wonderful mess that seeing those buildings in a city reminisce me back to the late 2000s to early 2010s, and the drought textures.... am I watching 90s music video? And so I researched the studio who made this drama, but out of the web browser's radar, to my dismay (even you as a viewer can easily photoshop that too with given tutorials) [watch back and pause as evidence. screenshot too if you want]

*as for the intro sequence, mayhaps Netflix nailed the job to explain the drama summary in one whole video. Correct me if I'm wrong by stating which graphic studio that did so, because they did an intro sequence for Hellbound as well, and I genuinely love that too, that leaves me hauntingly wonderful.

and don't make me compare to Space Sweepers' overall top-notch visual effects; you can (barely) see the differences either

2) PLOTHOLES

as some suggested, there should be a side story/prequel of how it has to have happened from the water itself. And Luna, too (just a picture, then the progression; no backstory, ouch). And also from me: lack backstory of how the drought even started, and that Director Choi's backstory. The direction for the storylines is pretty much complex (bear me, I'm alright with throwbacks in-between from each episode, but I genuinely don't understand, visually, for some lines from their interpretations). Other plotholes have been explained from her, so I don't need to recount

The only pros I can point these out is that yes, the stellar casts save this drama. Not instead of main casts, the supporting/cameo casts too (Kim Sia... she left me wow on this one). All of them, so I'm totally agreed with this stance. Thanks to their marvelous immersion in acting, overall the drama is pretty decent. So does for the BGM or OST if I missed out. Hence, the final rating of this review (a little high than her, because again; the casts made the job well done)

Bulgasal Leap Card Displayed

Not the worst, changed my mind; it's just that it had bad writing all along

Won't say much (because most have been reviewed), just to summarise: I keep this to watch until the end thanks to the types' of ghosts backstories and antagonists' as well. But when it comes to protagonists' actual backstories, to begin with, I find it still lacking until the end of the story. The overall cast did an amazing job, but a decent plot; so does cinematography (I appreciate again so thank you very much). It's a messed up one that only we, as viewers, arrange/organize on which should be first and which should be last. Sometimes, when I ponder it back, almost gave the vibe of Curious Play (anime adaptation from manga, but clueless-reset). I'm alright with how the ending is, just in-between, from ep1 to finish.... again, it has potential, but as everyone stated: a mess. Can't believe some crews made The Guest, but unsure how to manage this narration instead. A huge miss, but leave good memories in my heart

To Roll a Dice Without Pulling Right Cards

First and foremost, I might get canceled for giving my final perspective on this drama, which I literally understood where it all comes from (mayhaps the guys who watched this know the story better than mine), so I give some cons aside from good acting performances and great choices of music as OST tracks. (I include the overall, which also includes S1 as well that I didn't make a review of)

Plotwise... is what scarred me. This drama really focuses on the protagonist and his surroundings (connections between him and side roles). It loses some of the narratives with the little basic thing: how (origin on some side roles)? There's one scene (back from S1) that pretty much cringes, but basically the beginning of this trajectory of his journey that led into the climax. Speaking of the climax... leaves me a scar that I'd rather not disclose (see for yourself)

Since this pretty much summarises how to build a casino empire and the fall of his lifetime journey, feels that it's missing something (thus, should be shortened to either 12eps or 8eps). Also, the director should build up some developments of roles that are essential (but cutting midway that I'm speechless). I agree with some viewers, it's lacking story, more action-packed ones; which of course, again, the enjoyment of guys

I appreciate the realistic sentiment that has been invested in this, however, to me, it would be alright to turn back in time just to fix things altogether. In other words: the analogy of gambling is almost right in this story, but a little adjustment will bring exactly what viewers want

It Was All Play-Around to Be Happy-Go-Lucky, Until Things Getting Seriously Out of Hand

This movie is actually pretty refreshing, not gonna lie! Mayhaps some of you would say it's pretty cringy (which I relatably understand since this falls under romance drama, which I 'really rare' to watch onto), but again, source: trust me, bro; it's really good X"D

To be honest, this is pretty risky and this is, actually, 15+ (yes, you've seen it. not 18+, which I find odd; because... its silhouette skinship and all. oh shoot, I'm gone blushing; back to the topic) and also giving issues about related real-life things prior to love life: to find a soulmate or long life partners, which is pretty cool, to begin with

Although there has an upcoming drama to release, like Welcome to Wedding Hell, suffice to say this movie is an introduction to finding your true love. It's really simple, but not total complex, if you get me. To find comfort and confess our flaws towards each other before love sparkles... there have some things like that, but it's actually rare to find the quality of one's partner nowadays

This Shall be a Part of The Modern Fable Stories

I genuinely appreciate everything given to this storyline. It's a hell-time looping concept that I don't need to retouch or improve, because it's remarkable and perfect as it is. Every single backstory has its own reasons and resolves in better terms. It's a truly underrated gem indeed that I should recommend to everyone. Besides profanity (of course, if it's not to cuss out), I wish this would be adapted to storybooks for children/teenagers to read.

I'm not good for reviewing masterpiece, so I leave all interpretations to you guys; to watch

Be Careful to Not Being Scammed, Before It's Too Late

On the other hand, Byun Yohan is here! And it's A Day (KMovie) 2.0 again *evil laugh*

A compelling storyline that touches on issues regarding voice phishing. Total propaganda schemes are exposed by the devil organization (sub and main) itself. It literally hurts seeing the victims being scammed without anyone's realization (me included ofc). But to resolve this matter takes a long time to get the owned money back

Looking at these involved scammers, including all arise mighty above bosses and below workers... made me boil to the core, due to their not being felt guilt while engaging these propagandas, of their own will... which is totally wrong, clasp my both hands into fists, for not being a part for returning respective money to the victims. I can't help but cry watching them helpless, not knowing how to resolve to claim theirs back

And do you know what I really detest them the most? When they seize opportunities in no time: whether the victims are happy, grateful... even also in a vulnerable state

An Upgrade Permit of a Better Scale

The followup of The Outlaws series, this sequel elevates to a (better) level. Although the theme is quite as repetitive as the first one, it gives a new vibe of a different setting: SEA or Southeast Asia (only Vietnam, don't expect other countries tho). Storywise, this gives a good combo of action-comedy essence as usual (I have a good laugh for their roles in-between. Not terrible, yet not that cringey, just a good one)

However, what makes this movie outstanding? Yes, like domestically: Kang Haesang, this brutal villain to the core... you can say that at the scariest level: Kang Haesang > Gu Jakyeong (My Liberation Notes). Although I admit, he's not as iconic as Jang Chen (I frankly understand why the 1st villain stands out the most); but oh my god... his IT factor wowed me all over whenever he shows up. He shooked me to the floor, not gonna lie. And also, Jang Isu... I cracked up whenever his turn comes up. But it's too bad that he doesn't give a backstory on how he came back alive

So, is this worth recommending? Yes. Should you follow up the 1st, then watch the 2nd? Actually, depends; because as I've stated, it's a total repeat (similar storyline from the beginning of the film: police part) [not villain one, mind you], just different villains and fewer settings from the first movie. Have good support for this movie in your local cinemas, or wait for them released on the OTT platform in a later date

I shall volunteer myself deported if I've got myself criticised on this one

Passable Current Enchantress Sequel

I can see why most of the viewers are disappointed with this sequel's storyline, different than what it should be from the first trilogy series; but to me, it is (totally) make sense why this direction shall be done per se

We were introduced to the new 'witch' from a different place, yet familiar; but there is uniqueness within this heroine to make it, compared to the first heroine: pre-planned all of it from the start. She has this innocent childlike, seeking discovery while learning about the outside world from her continuous experimental lab sessions. And I can see why this has been delayed at all times: I believe this 2nd heroine should be done somewhere abroad; not within their birth country herself (Siberia or Turkey, mayhaps?), then the epidemic occurred; hence changing the settings on their own

Cinematography-wise, at first glance from the beginning of the story, is beyond wow-ed me; then to the falling action phase... it's a little cartoon-ish, but decent to watch (mayhaps due to budget stuff, so can't blame them tho, and understandable)

I forgot of its cons, apologize for that (editing): yes... English.... *sigh*... the English are corny yet cringy af, sometimes I just wanna flip the work table around for their terrible pronunciations. If I see *that foreigner* coming back again for the final one, I won't forgive them at all cost. I need anyone to save those scenes with at least decent English ones, please

Overall, it's not a major letdown for the viewers, it has those aspects from the first, just different character developments; personality-wise and story-wise for the 2nd heroine. Until the next, final installment for getting back to the origin on where will them be headed... have fun watching
