confused

what's for sure watching this u get none of the relationship's were/are healthy - Tae Kyu for one is just messed in the head and maybe his mentioning not having family or that he will get female clients and not male - cause now he with Yong Joon (says it jokingly, as this dude has no intention of lightning the financial load, that's Yong Joon's problem). i guess it goes to explain why Tae Kyu is messed-up, as assuming he been on the streets from a young age. and the only one willing to love and take care of him (finally) unequivocal is Yong Joon . that's why he is so desperate and possessive of him - sadly i wonder if love even enters in this equation . as Tae Kyu is very selfish - its like he is living in a world of his own, where he could care less how Yong Joon makes money to buy the meat he wants of the daily, let alone pays for the roof over his head or anything else he needs/wants, while he goofs around with that stupid bb gun - how Yong Joon supports them, is not his problem or a blimp on his radar, he just does his thing - shit all - and Yong Joon picks up after him, literally.

the whole situation with the kid and the injured eye is confusing, cause at the start (before the scene where the father threatens to put out the cigarette on Tae Kyu's eye - and eye for an eye cause he did that to his kid, i assume) i was sure Tae Kyu and the kid r one and the same, cause Tae Kyu mentions a disability in his left eye (but he's called for mandatory army service and usually if u got a disability they don't draft u - plus he doesn't look like he has problem with his eyes - brain, maybe, but that's another matter) the same eye the kid's got patched-up and the kid kinda looks like Tae Kyu (just younger). so was confused and unsure WTH was going on - and whether the hints "dropped" were supposed to mean something, that was just going over my head.

so mentioning all of the above hard not to feel really bad for Yong Joon, who only wants love and as Jae-sung (unlike in the description betrays Yong Joon, when he gets married to a female) guess that was the real reason for him defecting from North Korea. he comes to a new country and has to deal with all entailed, which isn't ever easy, when ur all alone in the world and his finding Tae Kyu in similar situation - they latch onto each other. not a healthy relationship by any means - considering the lengths Yong Joon goes through to support Tae Kyu. and yet as he has no one, i guess he rather suffer everything, just to have someone who is dependent on him - giving him the delusion of belonging - i.e family.

Jae-sung somehow also defects. as he put it "...his life went to hell after Yong Joon left..." so "getting" that he couldn't forget Yong Joon or live with a woman he comes in search of Yong Joon, only to find him in a mess - not that Yong Joon welcomes him with open arms. but his "...i'd rather live together in shared sorrow..." was a bit laughable considering Tae Kyu didn't share shit - even when confronted by the blackmailing father, he would walk away as if it had nothing to do with him, leaving Yong Joon to deal with the problem - and even after he wouldn't ask, wonder or offer any help, it was like it had nothing to do with him - that's why was wondering WTF Yong Joon was talking about, when he was telling Jae-sung he better off now. that was so far from the truth - its like he was ready to cut his nose to spite his face - get he was angry at Jae-sung and not ready to forgive him. but he wasn't ready to give him up either. and he for sure wasn't ready to stop anything with Tae Kyu - but i guess its cause he knew how lost Tae Kyu would be without him - bottom line this a mess. so everything ending the way it did - not astounding. and yet confusing as we get an end scene of Jae-sung living in Yong Joon apartment as if nothing happened and i'm like "no!! i need more info, about what went down with both Yong Joon & Tae Kyu..." but it is what it is

side note - there was So much going on psychologically that the sexual scenes, as erotic and in ur face as they were - all fell to the sidelines -
