Yoon Shi Yoon shines

This drama is very heartfelt. A story about growth and healing. It's very unique and very different from the norm. Yoon Shi Yoon is an impeccable actor and his character is extremely realistic. The entire drama is realistic and while the whole ethics of the profession is questionable, I felt the rest was very good and realistic.

Don't drop this due to the ratings but it's genuinely quite good and I might have teared up a little towards the end. The whole thing wasn't about being a better person but accepting you're beautiful and lovable regardless which I thought was so beautiful and healthy in so many ways. It also talks about important topics like Anxiety, Depression, Self esteem and the pressure of being masculine in this society. Love it.

I'm not too sure how they fell in love

The entire concept of the show is so interesting and unique however I was always confused as to how they fell in love so soon. I didn't really see much of a chemistry. maybe it's just me but that was the only drawback imo.

I also didn't see any bonding amongst the other staff. it seemed super forced and distant. Everything else was interesting and I like Man-Wol quite alot.

If not for these seemingly superficial relationships, this show is honestly like an artwork. Absolutely stunning visuals and amazing music. The storyline is sooo intriguing and deep.

Definitely needs some patience

This show stuck to its core, being funny, silly but at the same time very interesting. there weren't any unnecessary plot lines or anything else I thought it was true to its core. However its not for people who can't remain patient with its story. It didn't seem like it was dragging the plot imo because the storyline is clumsy and silly as thats the genre and theme of the story so it made sense and although it's not always nice to have a ton of plottwists, the ones in this drama were fun to watch nonetheless.

Tip: Don't take the show too seriously. it is a comedy at the end of the day and definitely does a good job at being one.

Ignoring the ending, this would be a 10

....but sadly the ending was pretty shit and while I do understand Bong Hwan wanted to go back, I feel there was something missing. I think the show didn't wanna make any bold moves and that's why the ending turned out this way. All in all, amazing chemistry but I do not believe the king loves the original queen and I do believe it was *mostly* Bong Hwan's personality that he fell for. kinda unfair the queen got to be with after Bong Hwan being the one he fell for *on the most part*

but yes it's a great show! ignore the last 5-10 minutes and you should be good!
