It could've been better, really...
I came across this series expecting that since it started off really strong with Bae Tami and Morgan's romance but ended up feeling a bit dull 😕. Honestly, what surprised me and really kept me hooked was Scarlett and Ji Hwan! I’m so glad they were added to the plot, or I probably would’ve dropped the show halfway through. Jaewook’s first appearance around episode 7 was a turning point for me, and that’s when I got back into it.The storyline around K-style Google-slice-of-life was okay but not super impressive imo.
I had pretty high expectations based on the reviews I heard, but in the end, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. It was a bit underwhelming overall.

Creative way in warning someone about ending their lives voluntarily
Not perfect, but definitely an intriguing take on the subject of suicide. It’s an easy show to binge, with an episodic format that still manages to weave a solid story with some decent character development. While I’m not a big fan of how they portray hell or death, and a few parts of the story bugged me, it held my interest. Some moments were a bit predictable, but there were enough twists to keep me on my toes. I’ll admit, the constant screaming and emotional outbursts were a bit much for me—it’s not that they weren’t justified, just not really my style.
What earned this show a high score is how binge-worthy it is, thanks to the impressive performances from a star-studded cast and the way the story is so well put together. It kept me hitting "next" without a second thought. FYI: Sung Hoon was hilarious here. I knew I had to watch this.

Not my cup of Eun Woo Tea
Facts are facts. I watched this or at least I TRIED. This has to be one of the dullest dramas I’ve ever sat through, mostly because the romance felt like empty. The female lead had zero personality acting-and-face-wise (like what's the definition of beauty here?), and the male lead look too good for this FL. By the time I realized the FL was never going to evolve past that one pained expression she constantly wore, I was too far invested to quit. And don’t even get me started about the beauty part. Honestly, I didn’t enjoy this drama at all and ended up skipping large chunks just to get it over with and just because Cha Eun Woo was the ML.Cet avis était-il utile?

Good stuff
I will not deny that I watched this series because I adore Cha Eun Woo. I wanted to explore and watch his works, so I stumble upon this series on my list so there's that. I kinda liked the plot for a historical romance but I'm not super impressed though. FL did have an okay-chemistry with ML. This period series is a delightful blend of romance, history, and palace intrigue! The love story between the main leads is sweet, and while the romantic moments could’ve had a bit more spark or a bit deeper dive, their chemistry was undeniable, and their relationship unfolded naturally. The plot follows Goo Hae Ryung’s journey as a historian, diving into palace politics, hidden secrets, and incredible character growth throughout. The cast shines in bringing these characters to life, with the supporting roles playing just as vital a part in the story. Expect a mix of action, heartfelt tinge yet believable romance, moments of tragedy, and perfectly timed humor that lightens the heavier palace drama. It's a well-rounded watch that strikes a perfect balance, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Definitely worth watching!Cet avis était-il utile?

Addicted
Out of tons of romcoms I've watched, I will confess here that this series made me anticipate the upcoming episodes weekly. FL and ML's chemistry is unexpectedly "the bomb". The second FL and ML does have sparks and look good together. The pacing and how the story unfolds had this slow grind with a delightful and funny vibes. I also like the realistic povs and how the characters tend to resolve their unique perspectives, personalities and conflicts. Actor-wise, I expect nothing less from the veteran FL, she's truly awesome 🤩 plus her versatility that she pairs up really well with all her MLs. On the other hand, ML just continues to grow and shine as ever. I'm holding my breath next week and can't wait for more. I am a bit disappointed that this series just had 12 episodes but this doesn't affect my review rating because overall, it's all worth it for me. I'm never bored watching this series, I just want mooooore!Cet avis était-il utile?

Cute and fun
This series is simpy cute, funny, romantic, and beautifully crafted. It strikes a perfect balance between lighthearted fluff and darker undertones, making it such an enjoyable watch. The quirky characters and hilarious scenes had me laughing throughout, and the ending was truly heartwarming.I've been rooting for Park Hyung Sik the first time I saw him in The Heirs, and I was thrilled to see him as the lead here. He did not disappoint! From his adorable, cocky charm to his sweet moments, he was incredible. By episode 14, he took his performance to a whole new level—every line, every expression was spot on. I love him in everything, and that smile? Irresistible.
Park Bo Young was a revelation for me, as this was the first time I saw her in action. She brought her character to life effortlessly, nailing every scene, especially her stellar performance in episode 14. And Jang Mi Kwan as the psycho killer? Chillingly brilliant.
The soundtrack was just as beautiful, adding so much depth and I must say it's almost always on-time to nail the cute or romantic mood. Overall, this is a sweet, funny, and incredibly well-balanced romcom that you’ll absolutely love—especially if you’re into romantic comedies. And, of course, Park Hyung Sik looks amazing in every scene!

It's not what I expected
The storyline was a letdown. The concept had so much potential, but it never took itself seriously enough. Instead of delivering the weight of an epic romance, it felt like it settled into the mold of a light-hearted romcom, creating a glaring mismatch that was hard to overlook. It felt like the show couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be an epic love story or a playful romcom, and that indecision drained the synergy from both genres, leaving us with a blend that didn’t do justice to either. In the end, what could’ve been a captivating series became a disappointment wrapped in missed potential. That said, I watched this because of the ML to be honest but I'd be lying if I say I enjoyed this.Cet avis était-il utile?
