interesting and quick watch

When I saw this on Netflix, I mostly turned it on because it was short and because I was curious if there would be any queer elements to it. I can't say that this is the best show I've ever seen, but I really don't have any objective complaints about it -- more than anything, it felt pretty 'normal' levels of interesting, not outstanding. I think it has a nice message and has good moments of humor and emotions. For the time they had to work with, I think the show does a good job of showing us the important moments of Kentaro's pregnancy and the progression and changes in the relationships shown.

If you're looking for something quick to watch that won't make you too emotional the whole way through, isn't too fluffy or comedic, and has a foot in reality (despite the whole 'cis men getting pregnant' aspect lol), this is a good choice.

SPOILERS BELOW:

On a subjective level, there were times I felt a bit bored or just wanted to hurry up and get to the next plot point. Also, I was glad that Aki and Kentaro didn't really seem to get into a romantic relationship. I enjoyed their friendship and the scenes of them co-parenting at the end were cute but I don't think they had the right kind of chemistry to portray like, falling in love with each other. So I was pleased they ended in the places they did, and that they didn't have to give up themselves to the roles of Mother and Father. Also the baby was very cute but since I can't read any Japanese I have no idea if they were a boy or a girl? Lmao it doesn't really matter but I thought I'd mention it

definitely more of a comedy than a horror

This movie is really goofy from like the minute it starts all the way until the end credits scenes. It made me laugh so many times; there's really funny physical humor, lots of great one-liners, the makeup in several scenes made me giggle, and the actors were just amazing with pulling off fear and hilarity. Honestly, with the story, I could guess a lot of it (tho admittedly the Truth of it all did surprise me) which isn't a bad thing, but I think with a different cast it would've been a lot more boring. The three boys as well as the grandparents and "Little Suzuki" were perfect in their roles.

The music was fine, I didn't really feel that moved by it either to laughter or anything else. Another criticism I had is that sometimes the really emotional scenes feel out of left field, or aren't given more than a few seconds to hit before it was already moving on. I enjoyed anyway, but I did notice it and it was a little distracting. Also, while I am queer and a lot of the gay jokes were funny, I wish it could've been handled maybe a little differently. Idk I have mixed feelings about that aspect.

General rewatch value is probably higher than I rated it for myself, because once you know the ending it would def be fun to look back and see all the hints. But personally idk if I'll be rewatching, at least not any time soon. Maybe when I need a pick me up.

Worth a watch for sure, but don't go into this expecting a horror--you will only find a comedy.

amazing, heart touching show

(Only docking points for rewatch value because it gave me a lot of anxiety while watching. If you don't mind or don't think that'll be an issue for you, consider that a 10/10 too!)

I have read a lot of time loop fiction but this was my first time seeing the trope in a show or movie, and Reset has set the bar very high. From the first moment of this show all the way to the end, it kept me on my toes, never sure what to expect. And somehow, each time, the show delivered. With each new loop, it never felt boring or like we were rehashing things we'd seen before, and I'm impressed by how many avenues the creators found to explore. Without going into detail, I had been okay with the second to last loop being the last, but I love that they tried one more time and that the outcome was what it was.

My favorite aspect of the show is undoubtedly the humanity and the connections forged between the characters. Shiqing and Heyun started out as total strangers, but by the end it truly felt like their connection was rock solid. And in each loop, the way that the other passengers (especially Lu Di, who was one of my favorite characters) stood up and tried to help any way they could, god it made me cry. The themes of compassion, bravery, helping out your fellow humans, they were done so well.

Though obviously I loved our main leads, I am very glad the show took the time to explore other characters and how they got to where they were, it added so much to the story. The last scene where everything comes full circle and there's finally some closure to be found, it was just beautiful. Absolutely amazing work all around.

loved this much better than the original

I was super excited to see that there was going to be a remake of Cherry Magic, because unfortunately the original didn't really live up to the hype for me. I hoped that this remake would fix at least some of my issues with the original, and thankfully, it did!

I absolutely love the additions and changes made to the story. The last few episodes especially were so, so sweet--and truly indicate how much this show, and this couple of Karan and Achi, care about communication. The main couple are so tender and kind with each other; their many hugs and moments of hand-holding were genuinely nice to see. Of course I'm glad they kissed as well (one way they deviated from the Japanese LA), but the way they clung to each other was one of my favorite aspects of their relationship. My only complaint I suppose is that sometimes Achi felt a bit too stiff; I couldn't always feel the same level of care and emotion in him that I felt in Karan.

For the second ship, well. I hated Tsuge lmao so I was very pleasantly surprised that Jinta was one of my favorite characters! While I did like Jinta and Min together a lot, I feel like Jinta really shone. He had a lot of character growth and was consistently really funny, really crazy, and a pretty good friend and boyfriend. I was really happy for Min by the end, they seem like a great couple who actually have something to bond over and it was fun to see!

And finally, for Rock and Pai. While their relationship was really cute, I honestly wish it would have stayed just a friendship. However, what we did get with them was adorable so I'm not too mad. I really enjoyed how it seemed like they truly got along well and made each other happy.

Fuck Tanaka though, terrible boss.

Anyway, this show was super fun and sweet, I would definitely suggest giving it a try!

wonderful mix of hilarity, tragedy, action, romance, and friendship

WOW I just finished and I already don't know what to say. What can you say about a show as amazing as this one?

I love wuxia/xianxia and was excited to see that there was a kdrama with a similar genre/world and this did NOT disappoint. The action scenes are easily some of the best I have ever seen, with the training montages adding some extra badassery and certain other fights adding some humor in.

I really don't recall any major issues, other than the fact that I hate Jin Mu and having to see his face so much was not that fun lmao. Everything else was endlessly entertaining, all of the characters having depth and intriguing story lines (even the ones I didn't like). There were so many interesting connections between the characters and plot lines, even late into the show I was finding myself surprised by how intricately tied together everything was.

I really loved most of this cast. I want to say my favorite characters were the mains, but I don't think I can really pick--with other characters like Seo Yul, Park Danggu, Jin Choyeon, Park Jin, and Maidservant Kim just to name a few around, it's impossible to choose. The acting of everyone in this series was so strong, whether it was humorous or serious, I never felt pulled out of the story.

And now I'm desperate to watch season 2 lol

(vague spoilers) loved this show!

I went into this show knowing nothing, having never seen a BL or a Thai show at all, and only knowing that the main couple was cute thanks to a gifset on my tumblr dash. I had no expectations, but the show exceeded them anyway. The acting was astounding for this being so many's first role, and the cinematography was beautiful. I had to pause all the time just to take in the scenery presented to us. Every single episode gave me something to be shocked about, or something entertaining to laugh at, or something to coo over. At times it was very soap opera-y but each twist and turn had me hooked to my screen.

I'll reiterate what I saw other reviewers say which is that this show is meant for mature audiences who can understand that these relationships are toxic. They're extremely fun to watch and the actors do an amazing job of guiding the audience through their character's emotions and growth, and showing the love each ship has for each other. But they're toxic. Don't go into this expecting that they're perfect and do no wrong -- they wrong each other all the time. But imo the morally gray quality adds really interesting layers to everything and I wouldn't have enjoyed this as much if they were squeaky clean.

I have to mention Bible especially for how talented he is portraying Vegas as an evil monster, an abused son, and someone desperate for recognition and love no matter where it comes from. He nailed every scene he was in and I enjoyed how it felt like Vegas could completely change in a matter of seconds. So versatile and captivating. Also while I was watching, whenever something was great, I found myself jokingly thinking 'thank you Mile'. So yeah, I would also like to say, thank you Mile. This was an amazing show and I can't wait for a season two.
