Fu Rong lack of trust in Yu Xin
If you like melodrama and demonstrations of lack of trust between your ML and FL, this is for you.The first half was great. We saw a wonderful love story with usual love triangle where another man likes the naive, happy go lucky , sometimes smart, conveniently stupid FL. Misunderstandings and Duke An's vengeful, evil plots ensue and the last 20 episodes kept me in a rollercoaster of disappointment in Fu Rong's consistent lack of trust in our ML and their getting together. It was highly frustrating watching the FL's belief in everything her "little follower" whom she hasn't seen since they were little kids does/says compared to how easily she'll doubt and hate and divorce the ML no matter how his actions show how much he cares for her.

Great and funny story but absolute sh×t ending
The characters and their interactions draw you in. The laughter and romance keeps you engrossed. Just enough subterfuge to keep you guessing in the midst of c the happy, funny, cute romance. Until bam! The crap ending where they don't get together destroyed what would've been a 10 for a well put together funny and wonderful romantic wuxia with high rewatch potential. It's like they skimped on the last episode or 2 and decided to just screw the ending and ruin the entire 23 episodes you had invested in this drama.Cet avis était-il utile?

Romance? No, I think more like romanticizing a whole lot of deaths
I started watching this for the romance genre and because I like Xianxias / cultivation worlds.. What a beautiful mix. Well, this is not the series for you. This series is dark, more along the lines of "cruelty of life", with disjointed plot twists and it is definitely NOT a happy romance in any shape or form. I cannot emphasize how much this disappointed me as a romance genre tag.On the plus side there are different types of cultivation but nothing amazing that stands out. In the beginning, it was nice following the male lead, his sister and their development - especially with his shifu(s) and meeting their brothers. The shifu(s) and disciple interactions are a total highlight. Don't expect this to continue. though. After say the first 8 - 10 episodes, the series start going downhill. The romances are awkward. The relationships are messy. It was like they had pulled the actors into too many twists that the acting did not feel right.. at some point my family was chiming in about this series and acting being SO awkward.
If you like murdering characters left and right, you're in the right place. Death upon death of characters that has grabbed your hearts ensure. By the end, you wonder who may still be alive at the end to ride into the sunset in victory. Where's our happy ever romance - oh right, there's side couple(s) plot twist so the series will give you a few crumbs at the very very end to barely tick the box for the romance.
I ended up feeling like Lu Ping is a plot tool to drive the plot line and the series is more about his senior brother and other side characters that were around him and oh, their happy ever afters.. sorry Lu Ping, you'll have to live with just your memories.

Lucky to have been loved by Ottoman
Sounded good with an opening of the ML carrying his love for the FL since middle school and always secretly supporting her. The FL conveniently needing a marriage partner to avoid inheriting her family business gives him the opportunity to be with her. Throw in an obsessive actress in love with the ML and you think you have a light, mostly happy with some light love triangle romance with the FL and ML perseverance helping to drive the plot along, but no.As you watch, the FL is increasingly awkward, more self- centered, selfish, useless and a spoiled crybaby. It's no wonder the FL's conflicting feelings had to be animated with angel / devil SD characters. With a "I'm sorry" all her problems are easily solved. What bull.
The FL barely displays any trust or love towards to ML and constantly will believe everyone but him despite all circumstances proving otherwise. The "love" scenes start feeling like it's just physical and lacking in any emotional or spiritual elements. You start hoping the ML gets his happy ending with some less torturous character [not in this story line] and... bits of a "do-over" sentiment is portrayed during a bout of convenient amnesia.
