The Wolf - Emotionally Intense Drama

The Wolf is the most intense drama I've seen to date and it seems like it will remain so for some time into the future. The two main male leads gave great and even astounding performances. Contrary to what most people think, the most powerful performance was given by Li Gin in her role as Ma Zhai Xing/Princess. While Darren Wang and Xiao Zhan gave strong performances as resourceful and confident men and warriors, Li Gin really provided the depth from immature giddiness to total loss, grief, and despair. There were several times when Ma Zhai Xing's hopes and aspirations were lifted only to be dashed that Li Gin's emotional portrayals ripped my heart out. Feelings that only someone who lost a very dear loved one could know. I know some will disagree but, I think men don't struggle nearly as hard with loss and challenges as women feel the loss and grief of betrayal. I know what I just said is controversial, but as far as this drama went, I believe it was Li Gin that gave this drama its depth and power.
